I was impressed with the employees. They seemed to truly care. Had to drive an hour to get to them. No one near where I live would see the duck with a broken leg. Highly recommended.

I have taken my pet rabbit here for both overnight boarding and annual check-ups. The overnight boarding was simple and inexpensive. I called for a same day reservation and they were able to take my rabbit as long as all his shots were up-to-date. If there were not up-to-date they would be able to take care of that during his stay. I picked him up the next morning and he was perfectly fine. The staff was friendly and professional. As for the annual check-up, the doctor and techs were gentle and kind. They were informative and kept me updated on what they were doing every step of the way. I would highly recommend AEAH-Mesa.

Was desperate for a vet to make a housecall on our 40year old Amazon parrot and they came through. The Vet and Tech were the best. Our parrot loved them and he looks so handsome now. I will certainly use them again.

We received great service and support from az exotic animal hospital. My guinea pig received love and care, they were kind and respectful when it was fine to help her cross the rainbow bridge. They even sent a sympathy card to us sending their regards for our lost Lane Kim.

Around 11pm, we noticed a problem with our African Grey. She literally looked like she was going to pass away any moment. We called Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital and was able to leave a message for an emergency call back. We received the call and the on-call vet called us back. Luckily, she had started to act normal again, but the doctor still recommended we bring her in to get her checked out. He was very patient and acted like he truly cared - even if it was late at night.I called the next morning and was in shock when they said they could get me in the same day. We brought her in and the veterinarian gave her a complete exam while we waited in the car (due to Covid). When the exam was complete, Dr. Lamb gave us a call to go over her findings. She was extremely thorough in giving information, advice, suggestions, and patiently answered our questions without rushing to get off the phone.Our darling African Grey is doing well and has completely recovered. I am so pleased in the quality of service we received, and we felt everyone involved really cared. We were amazed at the reasonable cost for the exam and how they didnt try to do a bunch of unnecessary tests to pad the cost of the visit.I will definitely use Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital for all my feather family members!

I brought my new rats in when they showed signs of respiratory illness, and I was so pleased by the kindness and attentiveness everyone here showed them. With covid and not being able to go in with them, I was very anxious, but all of the nurses and the doctor were extremely nice and reassuring, and the summary they printed up for me before we left was detailed and gave me every bit of information I was concerned about missing. The vet discussed my options with me prior to treatment and offered estimates before I made my decisions, and the nurses were kind enough to show me how to administer the medicine to my babies. Im immensely grateful for their skill and kindness in a time when I was so worried. I 100% recommend this clinic for your exotic animal care, and Phobos and Deimos are grateful for them!

Took our Blue and Gold Macaw (Kokomo) to AZ Exotic for egg binding. She is extremely old and it was an emergency situation on a weekend. Dr Attarian was awesome and got the egg out, and Kokomo is doing great. Mika, picture Danielle from American Pickers, the receptionist kept us updated throughout the procedure. Excellent care. Was it expensive, yes. Was it worth it, Absolutely.

Highly recommend for rabbit care and spay/neuter!Have taken both my free roaming rabbits here and have had only great service and experience. Concerned about the mortality rate during surgery for rabbits, AZ exotic showed sensitivity with the spay and neuter of both my buns. While the price was higher than competitors, their post-fix care left me feeling that they were in good hands.

I would not take a wounded squirrel to this so called Exotic Animal Hospital. I brought a 1 year old bearded dragon that hasnt eaten for a few weeks. Come to find out that with a female dragon, this is quite common. Her weight was right on, she was very alert, and they could not even confirm that She was a female. They were quite quick to come up with an estimate for testing however, $859.60 to be exact. I paid that to have Cancer removed from the snout of a 10 year old Labrador at a well respected facility. You are better off reading other peoples experiences online and self diagnosing than going here. Dont waste your time or money.

They were able to take our rabbit Bologna in for a general check up if it werent for them we wouldnt have known he had any issues. They got Bologna the right meds and hes been thriving and happy since.

Great vet for chickens. Knowledgeable, professional, and understanding. I also appreciate they lay out different tiers of treatment and their cost. Very honest and low pressure, even in emergency situations. They genuinely care about helping animals other vets won’t touch. It’s the only place I’ll take my chickens.

Our baby bearded dragon had his first check up and we had a great experience. The staff is kind, caring and professional. We are pleased to have them be a part of keeping our dragon healthy and happy for many years to come.

Its very obvious they care deeply about every patient, and I felt very confident that my rabbit was in good hands. There really is no other option to consider for exotic animal care--this practice is the best!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called this morning because I am pretty sure my animal is dying.Kennedy answered the phone and couldn’t have been ruder. She sounded annoyed, hungover, and inconvenienced that I called.I asked for an emergency appointment and she wasn’t helpful, kind, or apologetic at all. I ended up not even making an appointment because I felt sickened by how I was treated.Kennedy should be fired for her nasty & miserable attitude. If you clearly don’t like animals or your job, don’t work front desk at an animal hospital.Since she treated me that rudely on the phone, I can’t imagine how poorly they actually treat their animals in the back when no one is watching.If you want sincere and good treatment for your pet, this is definitely not the place to go. I would never pay my hard earned money to be wasted to pay her, or anything to do with this unkind establishment.

Amazing experience. Brought in my 4 month old bearded dragon who was not eating, losing weight, and lethargic. The staff was incredible and so nice. The vet took my baby to get a stool sample out of her because I did not bring one. Turned out she had parasites and the vet set us up with formula so she can start eating and medicine!!! Amazing staff and service. Thank you so much!!!! I’m so glad they take amazing care of exotic pets. Definitely recommend!

We board our desert tortoise here every time we go out of town. We feel confident that she is well cared for during our absence. She has a vet exam at the same time. Always a good experience. Spotless facility with knowledgeable cheerful staff.

I have had 2 experiences at Arizona Exotic and they have both been amazing! My 2 bunnies went in for a first visit and vaccination at the Phoenix office and the Vet Tech and Doctor were so clear about each step of the visit. They outlined every cost before performing anything and seemed very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend them.On a separate occasion, my bunny started having an issue with her eye and the Mesa location was super accommodating and was able to squeeze us in same day after a cancellation. Again, the Vet Tech and Doctor were amazing, made me feel super comfortable and outlined all prices before proceeding with treatment. The appointment was quick and efficient and we were sent home with a treatment plan within an hour.I just moved to Arizona and was super afraid to switch to a new vet but I am so relieved and happy with the knowledge and care at Arizona Exotic!

They do such a good job taking care of my chickens and figuring out what the chicken is sick with. The other week they saved my Guinea pig from pneumonia. They have gelped a lot of my pets. They are also all kind, caring people who love animals. Have never met anyone with a bad attitude there. They truly want whats best for your animal and they find ways to help you not go broke, which I highly appreciated because Im a college student.

The best experience I couldve asked for!The waiting room was comfy though we werent in there for long. The staff was kind and gentle and the doctor was helpful and knowledgeable. They even called a few days later to check in. I feel as though my guinea pig was well taken care of and feel comfortable and confident bringing him back for his annual check up. Awesome job guys!

I needed a last minute appointment for my sick rabbit, Amelia. All the staff were so kind and helpful. The Dr that saw her and cared for her was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. My bun is feeling better than ever - they educated me on how to be a better mom to her 🥰- and I am so grateful I found this place!

They took care of my baby Bearded dragon. They took the time out and tell me what’s going on with him and show me how to give him his medicine. I would recommend this place to anyone with an exotic pet.

Knowledgeable providers. They refused to answer my questions about preventative measures that can be handled at home. Their intake form asks incredibly invasive and irrelevant questions. Again, knowledgeable and competent, but I personally would prefer a vet who demonstrates more concern for overall health, outside of their office hours.

My cockatiel had a catastrophic crash trying to fly off a window, fractured his beak and was dazed and weak. I called his usual exotic vet who informed us their schedule was packed and could not see us and wished good luck finding a place to be seen . I called them and they asked us to go immediately. Bird got taken care of quickly, we were asked every step of the way to agree with the treatment plan and sign off and were informed of the cost ahead of time. We were able to review the XR with the doctor and set a treatment plan. It was not cheap, but we got great care. Bird is on the mend, and I guess he has a new avian vet now.

I love the care at this practice. I have reptiles that receive care there. I do feel like the husbandry advice is outdated but medical is always top notch. I would recommend this practice.

I would like to thank all Arizona Exotic Animal staff for taking good care of my baby Milo. The staff are pleasant and super nice everytime I called time to time and checked how’s my baby doing? Definitely a good place to recommend to all fur mommies out there. 💕

They completely miss gendered my male dragon and gave reasons why its female. So i took him to a reptile shop and they showed me every sign showing its a male. They are a vet for exotic animals and cant even make out a gender correctly.

I took my little sugar glider to them on several emergency situations and they were not only Professional but so kind and caring and went over and beyond. I lost my little friend and they were first to send a card of caring but also phone call. They are caring for my new little buddy and my other glider and can say they are AMAZING!!!

The moment I walked into Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital on 19th Ave I felt very comfort bringing in my little Lola. The waiting room is clean and the front office staff was very pleasant. Once we were in an exam room we were greeted by a friendly tech asking all sort of question regarding Lola. It was nice knowing she was taking time to get to know us and Lola. When Dr. Lamb came in, she was nice and comforting regarding the information that was passed to her from the tech which implies there is great communication between the Dr. and staff. She took her time examining Lola explaining everything along the way and the possible issues regarding hedgehogs. She answered all my questions from food to her having mites. Ugh!!!! It was nice to know that we werent rushed in and out. Why was this so important? I am a dental office manager and find Dr. patient communication very important and this office has it. Would I recommend Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

Painful experience.Like every first visit, things were going well. But then we noticed that we were being seen more as an ATM then people.It started with our hamster. She got sick. Had some weird infection going on. Took her here and the medicine they prescribed didnt work. So we had to get another different medicine.Now here is were we started getting treated like an ATM even AFTER we stated we dont have the money for all these things they wanted to do.We made it clear we didnt have the funds for all these procedures but even after stating that we get an estimate of 1500+ with 500 being adjustable.We continued to tell them we dont have the money for that and just do what what needs to be done and not what is convenient.We got it down to about 400 dollars. Now 400 dollars to remove an abscess later our hamster just gets worse. We did everything they asked of us to make sure she was getting taken care of.Unfortunately she didnt improve and called to put her down. Guess how much they wanted? 307 dollars. I told them again, WE DONT HAVE THE FUNDS. Can you PLEASE just put her down and we will take care of the rest. We just needed them to gas her. THATS ALL! GUESS WHAT THEY WANTED JUST FOR THAT!?!? 300 DOLLARS!!!!Its been a very hard week for us and seeing our precious hamsters life just fad away. 😢💔

The staff at the Mesa location are courteous and treated my ferret with care and concern. Dr. Michael Bignall demonstrates both care for ferret patients as well as a philosophy of data-driven treatment. He was knowledgeable about ferret ailments and explained my ferrets particular situation with sufficient detail to where I was on the same page. The price of treatment was also reasonable, cheaper than other places I have been to but also the quality of treatment and level of expertise was among the best I have experienced as a ferret owner.

I first brought a couple of my cockatiels here that werent doing so great. This was 4 years ago. After that one visit, theyve been thriving. I recently just brought my cockatoo in. The level of genuine care this place has is leagues beyond any other place Ive been to for these things. Everyone is friendly, and makes sure to go out of their way for animals.

I constantly had to reschedule due to conflict and they were always willing to work with me whenever that happened

We found out our Bunny suffered from GI stasis and we had no clue what to do. I called the clinic late on a Sunday night thinking Id get a voice mail. A friendly front desk person answered the phone and said I could bring out bunny ASAP. As I walked in they took bunny and rushed him to the back. I waited in the room. They came in and explained what what going on and what we could do. Showed me diferente options that were moderately in my price range. I decided to not hospitalize him and take him home. They gladly showed me how to administer meds at home. They said to call back with any questions or concerns. We are beyond thankfully for their fast care and great service. Bunny is still getting better and will be following up just to make sure hes doing well. I would 1,000% recommended this place to anyone!!

Everyone here is great. I feel very comfortable not only taking our African Grey here for treatment, but also housing her here while were gone. On our last trip, she missed us more than usual, and the team took great care to keep us informed on how she was doing and what they were doing to make her more comfortable. Superb care.

We took our guinea pig here on a Saturday emergency when we noticed blood in his urine. Arizona Exotic was able to see him that morning, and were very professional and kind. Aslo, they did a great job of following safe COVID 19 practices. Were going to start seeing them for regular care of our guinea pigs now.

I took my little Cinnamon Queen Sweetie to be treated for bumblefoot. Dr. Deng was very compassionate and giving her the best care.

As a first time tortoise owner I have been very unsure of my husbandry and care for my pet. Dr. Ruoff was so patient and knowledgeable and made me feel extremely comfortable asking questions. She helped me get Tort Jameson in the perfect living environment and fine tuned his nutrition. By the time of our followup appointment, my tortoise had made significant physical improvements and is now happy and healthy. I would give this vet office 100 stars if I could!

I would give zero stars if that were an option. This clinic is the reason my girlfriends bearded dragon is now dead. She had taken her bearded dragon to this vet days before she died because she thought something was wrong with her (which clearly there was) and one of the “veterinarians” gave my girlfriend an attitude and caused us to wait in the parking lot for about 2 hours only to tell us that our bearded dragon is perfectly healthy. So they lied and are the reason our lizard is dead, and on top of that, they had the AUDACITY to charge us for an autopsy. 0/5 this establishment shouldnt exist and I hope that nobody goes through the pain they put us now through.

Words can’t even begin to describe how great this place is, even if you have to be there for unfortunate circumstances. The staff truly do all they can to help you through a difficult time.

Friendly, helpful staff and Dr Lamb is so knowledgeable when it comes to birds. I trust & value her opinion immensely. Before covid changed how appointments are seen, the clinic setting was very clean & comfortable. I would gladly recommend this clinic to anyone with birds or exotics.

I took my sons hamster to be evaluated after hours at their clinic. I knew the situation was dire, but felt compelled to try whatever I could to help as it was his first pet, a gift for his birthday, and wed only had him a couple months. The doctor there (I wish I could remember his name) confirmed my fears, but in a way that was so full of compassion and care. He took time to explain what had happened and answer all of my questions. He explained our options and gave me time to think it over. They even sent me home with a complementary clay disk with Fluffys name and paw prints as a keepsake. They really went above and beyond and gave me comfort during a really sad and unfortunate experience.

My leopard gecko had cancer and Dr. Pilney operated on her and saved her life. I am so grateful, and I cannot recommend this animal hospital enough. The prices are normal for exotic animal care (Ive been to other animal hospitals in other states). Theyre very professional and care about their patients.

I was 11 minutes late for my appointment and I was charged a $50 late fee. I understand a $10-15 charge but $50 is absolutely absurd. This is after spending several hundred dollars on my 2 rabbits. I am sad to say I will not be returning because I enjoyed Dr. Lambs advice and expertise.

This is the best office to bring ferrets too! They are extremely thorough and have helped me to keep my ferrets alive for over 8 years. All four of them. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Bjornebo was very knowledgeable about and skilled at assessing and handling my large snake. I will be making her and AEAH my go-to source for care in the future.

I was referred to AZEAH by Darlene from Forever Wild Avian Sanctuary. She told me to make an appointment for my bird with Dr. Giles. I had such a great visit! Dr. Giles was experienced, knowledgeable, and did a great job not stressing out my 23 year old cockatiel during the exam. She also did a phenomenal job on educating me as a client. I have found my new vet! So pleased!

I had an amazing experience here. I took my snake to the vet for the first time with them and they were phenomenal. I was so nervous and had a ton of questions and they were patient and professional in answering them. They took the time to give me a tutorial on the treatment they prescribed and went as slow and I wanted answering my millions of questions on the way. Very happy with them, you can tell from the questions they ask they know how a ball python at least should be cared for. I cant speak on any other animal since that is my only experience with them. Very happy and will always take my boy there when he needs it now!

Excellent customer service and vet team!I was leaving to Boston and had to board my sweet piggie boy for 8 days. They took a great care of him and left me without any worries at all as they’re all skillful, funny and friendly yet the hospital was really clean and pleasant and that what made me totally comfortable to have my boy there.

Brought my Desert Tortoise Josephine in for a wellness exam because it’s been awhile. Everyone was nice and professional. From the receptionist Cynthia, the technician Jessie, to Dr. Deng. I arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment, and they saw me right away.The receptionist offered curbside due to COVID, or I can go inside with a mask if I felt comfortable. I decided to go inside.The lobby, though closed down due to COVID, was super clean, as well as the exam room. The technician and the doctor were thorough in regards to asking about my pet’s medical history and exam performed seemed thorough to me as well. I was very happy that they offered a military and student discount (every little bit helps hahah)Though I hope I won’t be back anytime soon in the future (who likes going to the doctor?) I’m glad this facility is in my neighborhood.

Took my son’s Gecko here and the animal was alive when went into the hospital but was dead when we left and they still charged us a full fee. I noticed before leaving the hospital the animal was dead. They tried to say it had a faint heart beat when the animal was clearly dead. Horrible experience should have never been charged a for medicine or other fees.

My cockatiels suddenly came down with avian chlamydia. I was very happy to discover that AEAH is open seven days a week for business. Dr. Pilny examined the birds and suggested a treatment plan that was logical, affordable and as it turned out effective. Another nearby Vet suggested a plan that would have cost around $1000 bucks. AEAH showed me how to treat and medicate the birds at home and everything turned out well. Rebecca was very easy to work with and even trimmed their little pterodactyl talons. Thank you for taking such good care of my birds.

All the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, and they work hard to make sure your pets are healthy even during the pandemic. They took very good care of our guinea pig and were always available when we had questions or concerns. They even make the effort to call between appointments and check in. Dont think we could have a better vet!

I brought my rabbit in yesterday for a check up and nail trimming, and I had an amazing experience. They allowed me to handle everything curbside, which made me feel so much more comfortable. Wait times weren’t bad at all, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they all seemed to be a lot more knowledgeable about rabbits than the vets I’ve gone to in the past. I cannot recommend them enough!

I have taken both of my dwarf hamsters to the Mesa location and the staff there have done nothing but give amazing service and the best care. It was relatively easy to get an appointment with someone on the same day and/or it never seemed too obnoxiously busy to find a later date. They seem to have proper knowledge about hamsters that put me at ease knowing they can do what they do and I feel like they care about small pets just as much as cats and dogs. Would highly recommend for the smaller friends.

Even with the Roanoke virus running rampant throughout their taking care of peoples pets and making sure that theyre safe my ferret I had gingivitis but at the time I didnt know it I I just knew he had something wrong with his mouth and they were able to locate the problem. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this animal hospital I know dealing with exotic animals takes a special range of skills

We had to put our little one to sleep and they were very empathetic and professional, we received a card yesterday from them making sure we were ok and gave their condolence to us. Never had anyone sent a card like that before. We were really grateful, if we get another exotic pet we will definitely use this facility.

Az Exotic takes care of all or children, from rats, to chickens, and our 8 totoises. I love how they understand financial stress a vet visit can cost and are always striving to have clinics or other events to lower the cost of visits. We Love AZ EXOTICS!

Dylan my African Grey Parrot was eggbound. Dr. Lamb saved her life. She had to be anesthetized for the egg to be helped to pass. I live in Prescott and the local vet would not accept Dylan, they referred me to AZ Exotic. Dylan gives 4 claws up, too! Thank you for saving my 23 year old pet parrot!

Last time I brought my reptile, they sent us back with the information we already knew and then charged us $70.We had specifically gone there to get help with that problem but we ended up going home to do it ourselves.Im an amateur at caring for reptiles but thankfully my little Yoshi is doing well now! ^^

They squeezed me in for an emergency on my snake and got my baby taken care of in less than 30 min. Their always so welcoming and make things easy for the patients to understand. Everything is very clean indoors and they are following CDC/COVID guidelines to perfection in my opinion. I’m so glad I found this place earlier this year!

The staff here were great. They were concerned and loving towards my rabbit. While he didnt make it, it was no fault of the staff and they did everything they could for him so that I knew he at least wasnt in pain and that we did everything we could have done for him. They were kind to me with the loss and accommodated my wants and needs as well. I will be bringing my other rabbits here in the future and highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a medical emergency with our parrot early in the morning (2:00 a.m.). After some calling around I finally found an avian vet available here. Dr. Deng came from her home and met us at the clinic. She stabilized our little guy so the next morning we were able to take him to our regular vet that had been treating him for his condition. He sang praises for the care Dr. Deng and the staff provided.

A great avian vet - very helpful and understanding! They took time to help me figure out how to give oral medication to a tiny bird - no small task. Their availability is excellent.

I trust AZ Exotic Animal Hospital with my Quaker Parrot. They helped care for my first Quaker and I will take my new bird to them also. Always clean and very helpful.

Have brought my rabbits here for years, they have always been great! Have gone through surgeries and checkups. They let you know the costs upfront and help you make an informed decision without pressure.

I took my bunny there for the first time & they were great with her. They did an initial exam on her & was very thorough. They made sure to answer all my questions & the wait was not that long. I will definitely be taking my bunny back there along with my bearded dragon.

We have taken all of our birds to see Dr. Lamb. She is a no nonsense vet. She has tons of experience. They will let you know whats wrong with your bird the 1st time. They follow up to see how your pet is doing. They were reasonablely priced as well. I would recommend this vet to anyone looking for a good bird doctor.

After 5 years our comet goldfish Henry got sick. We didnt know where to turn. When we found the folks at Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital we had no idea how great the experience would be. They treated Henry like every other animal who came through, and also recognized that he was a big part of our family, no matter how small he was. We lost Henry recently, but the care that he was given here made us so happy that we found people who cared as much about him as we did.

They were so good to my little monsters! Thorough examinations. Can purchase food and other supplies at the clinic. Much more affordable examination fees than other clinics. Answered all of my million questions. The doctor talks to them in a pet voice and its funny!

I was very nervous about bringing my bunny in to get neutered because I know how fragile they are and I love my bunny more than anything. I wouldnt know what to do with myself if something were to happen to him! Dr. Bjornebo was so kind and explained to me all my options with the surgery and ways to make it less stressful for my bun. She was also so tender and gentle with my bunny while examining him, so it made me feel much less nervous about leaving him in the care of others. I was very happy with my experience and he is healing very well! Couldnt have asked for a better process! Thank you so much!

I have been taking my pets here for years and only ever receive the best service. Ive seen multiple doctors and they are all outstanding. Even when I brought in a species of animal that they hadnt seen before, they did research and still gave him the best care and he successfully pulled through surgery!

Good Avian vets, nice office, good care.

I took my rabbit here and they handled him with extreme care. Im always nervous when my rabbit is away from me in a place he doesnt know but they were very understanding and gave him the RHDV2 vaccine, a microchip, and a checkup all in a timely manner. I am very thankful for them and so glad with the way my rabbit was handled and taken care of. They were gentle and very kind to him. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone with an exotic animal.

This is the best place in the valley for pets! I wish I could take all of my animals here. Always friendly and caring!

So appreciative. I was able to get my Bearded dragon in quickly. The tech and the doctor were VERY knowledgeable about what was going on with my beardie. They were able to send us home with a plan to take care of him and get him on the mend. I will absolutely be back and would recommend this office to anyone. The only downside is that its not in a convenient location... but well worth the drive from south Chandler.

I have never had a bearded dragon before and anyone who has one knows how much misguided information on the internet there is. My beardie wasnt acting right and I took him in to be seen. I had to go a couple of times and both times the assistants and the Drs were incredibly nice, answered all my questions and educated me on a few things that were huge. I couldnt have asked for a better experience!

Have had one visit for our green-cheek conure and found staff and vet very responsive and sensitive to our pets issue. Good follow up....thank you.

This was my first experience with this veterinarian! I took my mouse to another one and they were expensive and rude, so I searched for another and came across Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital. They are reasonably priced and they were so sweet to me and Miss Mouse! They absolutely loved her and I really felt like they cared about her well being. I can’t wait to go back there to continue my old girls treatment.

We had a hamster who was nearing the end of his life and he was in a lot of pain. We didn’t want to see him suffer and searched animal hospitals that would help with hamsters. We reached out to Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital to see if they would help put him to sleep. They were able to see us the next day and they have made the grieving process so easy. They made sure that we were not alone in the loss of our hamster. I recommend this place for anything related to small little animals, such as hamsters, young and old. I don’t know how I feel about this vet. The doctor was very nice I’ll admit but the other staff was giving me attitude because of the bills. This vet was extremely expensive. Had to bring one of my guinea pigs here. They took no longer than 10 minutes to come out and talk about the condition meaning they barely spent any time looking over my piggy. They said they have no idea what it is and that it would be best to spend over 700$ for some tests. Medicine they gave me ran out a few days early. then they got snippy with me over the phone when I called to ask if that was going to be an issue and told me “we definitely gave you enough to last” then encouraged me to come back to get her checked again which would’ve been expensive as well. COVID really hit hard for me and ended up losing my job in the middle of last year and haven’t been able to get a new job yet. They seemed to not understand my situation and treated me differently because I didn’t have thousands to spend on vet bills or surgery (if she had stones or something more serious). Then one of the nurses was really rude to my piggy while showing me how to give her the medicine and made negative remarks about her squealing and trying to get away from her because she was in pain and didn’t want the medicine, while I just comforted her and tried to calm her down so she would allow the nurse to give her the medicine. I was very disappointed in the services here and how incredibly expensive it was. Ended up having to deny all the diagnostics and just take the medicine in hopes that it would work. That’s when they really started to treat me differently. I really didn’t appreciate how they treated me especially after explaining the situation. I started a gofundme to help for the bills and to raise money in case she needed emergency surgery. They did not like to hear this since they were trying to push me into spending 700$ on the X-ray and two urine tests. To me it seems like they were concerned more about how much money they get from people instead of the safety and health of the animals. I hate to leave a negative review but I spent a lot of time debating this and my partner said I should say something so others don’t have similar experiences. In the future this vet will be my very last option. I would rather drive to the Scottsdale vet than have to come back here and be treated like I don’t care about my animals when In reality I’m a financially struggling young adult with rescued guinea pigs. Maybe this isn’t the best place to take your guinea pigs or cavies

They were super helpful when my bird got sick. Not cheap, but they fitted me in right away, were candid and thorough about my choices; they were realistic about possible outcomes; they didnt sugarcoat anything and they gave me the best advice and resources possible to follow up at home. My bird might not make it, but I have the best tools to help her out now , and she is at the very least much for comfortable than she was
