We switched optometrists because the selection at the other office was always limited. The staff & doctors here were so kind, appointment was on time, lots of options to choose from, very clean & inviting environment. The little gift bags they even put your glasses in are just a cute and a nice touch. Highly recommend :)

I had a very thorough visit with Eye Care Associates yesterday. I had a battery of tests to make sure the prescription I take for another long term health concern isn’t causing any damage to my vision. Dr Stanley went through all of the tests with me after his very competent tech completed the tests. Excellent exam and visit. Highly recommend.

I had a sudden (within 2 weeks) decrease in my vision & was having dry eye irritation. I was able to get a same day appointment and was immediately run through a battery of tests to find the extent and the cause. Both Dr. Stanley and Dr. Wolfter had conferred over their lunch hour about my case & had decided on the best course of action even before my arrival. A prescription eye drop bottle was given to me in office without the inconvenience of having to stop at my pharmacy and incur another expense.I felt listened to, taken seriously, & extremely well cared for. Dr. Matt Stanley is the best! I started wearing glasses in 2nd grade and am now in my 50s. Thats alot of eye doctor visits! I have severe astigmatism and need a specialized prescription and lense. Dr. Stanley nailed it everytime! I have since moved from Manhattan but make the 2 1/2 hour round tripdrive because its worth it.

I absolutely love Dr. Stanley and his crew. The new office is gorgeous and they have frames that are the latest designers’ styles. Every step is explained and you feel very cared for. Simply the BEST and I’ve been a patient for over a decade!

Eye Care Manhattan and Dr. Stanley are the best! I have been once for an urgent matter and once for an annual eye exam, and both times I was treated so well. Dr. Stanley is super nice and I felt comfortable with him right away. The techs that I had when the microbead was stuck in my eye (im so sorry I forget their names) were amazing. Incredibly sweet and made sure I was taken care of. For my annual exam Jessica was my tech and was amazing. She answered my million questions and was all around just a nice person. Highly recommend Eye Care Manhattan!!!! 100%!

Wonderful experience! I had to switch providers this year due to my insurance and I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. Very fun and friendly staff, clean facilities, easy and thorough exam, and offered me informed options for contacts with my insurance factored in. Dr. Wooften was very kind and informative.

It was amazing. Dr. Wolfe was awesome with me and my two kids and the staff was awesome letting us pick and choose and try on glasses till we found the ones we liked best.

They are a nice, quality staff, and they are very quick, yet thorough. In and out in about an hour. Wide selection of frames and lens treatments like transitions and anti fog and what have you.Very COVID-19 safe, as you have to call from the car for them to let you in, as well as a temp check before you even enter the building, as well as masks required. Dr. Stanley is a great optometrist and has been precise without being unfriendly. All in all great place.

Great place! This was my first eye exam in maybe almost 10 years and I chose this place based on positive reviews. All the staff is super friendly, helpful and encouraging. I saw Dr. Woofter and he was equally as pleasant and professional.No one was judgmental here, despite how long Ive been neglecting my eye care or how long I lingered around trying to choose new frames. I did not feel guilted or rushed at all.They didnt try to force anything on me that I wasnt interested in. They told me up-front that the retina scan was optional and told me the additional price before letting me decide if I wanted it. When quoting what new glasses would cost, they were very straightforward about what each individual charge was for, and were accommodating about removing features that I didnt want/need (e.g. bluelight protection, anti-glare/scratch, etc) to lower the overall cost.It was pricey but not more than I expected coming into this, so I was not caught off-guard (once we took off the glasses features that I declined) and did not feel robbed.In terms of COVID safety: they would sanitize all of the equipment right in front of me; had a tray to collect the frames I tried on (so they could sanitize them before returning to the display); and would put space between us if they needed me to move my mask down during examination.Overall I highly recommend this place. Friendly, clean, professional, and a very positive experience.

Dr. Stanley does a good job on keeping tabs on my condition and always has new information about up and coming procedures that could prove helpful for me in the future. It gives me peace of mind.

I had some issues with my second yearly appt with Eye Care Associates. I made an appt for my exam in May only to find out, while sitting in their parking lot at the time of my appointment, that they didnt have me on the schedule. So I made another appointment over the phone for a date in June. I arrived, called from the parking lot, and went through the first few tests. Great! BUT I then sat in that room for almost 40 minutes to be taken to the exam room where I waited for another 10 minutes to be seen. I explained all of this to Dr. Stanley when he finally came into the room. He was very apologetic and promised to personally look into the issues. He seems to be a good eye doc. I pray that he follows through with his promises and compensates those affected by his offices errors. I may revise my review based on his response.

We had a great first experience at Eye Care Associates! My 11 year old daughter had never been to the eye doctor before and when we left she said I thought that would be awful but it was actually fun and interesting! Dr. Matthew Stanley patiently explained things to her step by step and he was very kind. She also noticed how he directed the conversation to her as the patient even tho she is only 11 and didnt just speak around her to me, her Mom. That meant a lot to her. I also appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase our eyewear there and he gave us a copy of our prescription at the end. Yet, he laid out all of our options and pricing and next steps. This is a very customer friendly, professional place of business. Very caring people and Dr. Stanley does a very thorough exam. He found a couple of small perforations in my rt. retina, sent me on to a specialist and they repaired these areas the very next day with a laser. This may have saved me from a more invasive surgery later on.

My husband and I went here for the first time last week. They are very friendly and competent. My husbands appointment proved to be a little complicated because he was having a couple of issues but they really took time with him and got everything right.Dr. Stanley and his staff are just great!

Very professional and highly trained staff. Equipment is cutting edge, and the Doctors are fantastic! My only issue was with the online appointment system. When I arrived for my appointment there was nothing in their system. I commend the staff for squeezing me in so that I didnt have to make a new appointment, but the system needs to be evaluated for errors.

This practice has been running on one active optometrist for years now. When they first went down to one doctor instead of two I was under the impression it was temporary. But many many years later it is still the excuse as to why it takes over a month to get in. If youre willing to wait a month the doctor is amazing. Ive never walked away not being able to see better. The front desk staff in the past has been exceptional. Yesterday however I tried to make an appointment and Maddie was not polite nor helpful. First she gave me three days that were available only to be told later that you were closed. So I was looking at December before I could be seen. I know I have a lot of other options so I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am sad to go but happy to be able to have Quick Service because I need it.After cooling down, I realized a one or two star rating wasnt an honest review. The day I wrote it I was upset because of poor customer service, which was not addressed by owner which futher upset me and prompted me to drop my two stars to a one. But after a couple weeks reflection, I know this is too harsh. The establishment is good. Expensive, long waits but good. All that said, Ive still taken my business elsewhere without regret.

Dr. Matt is fantastic! We brought our 9 month old daughter in for the free InfantSEE program. The techniques used to test her eyes were fascinating. She is now 3.5 and recently went in for another visit. Dr. Matt has young children of his own and knows how to work with little ones who have the wiggles. I would highly recommend Eye Care Associates.

The check-in is great and very personable and so is the preliminaries prior to seeing the Dr. The Dr. Is fantastic and patient with you. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the frame selection is too expensive for the mediocre selection they offer. Not everyone wants the trendy, high dollar frames advertised in the elite fashion magazines so you wind up settling for something that you consider to be the best of what they have but not what you really wanted.

I had a fine experience here for my exam- nothing wrong with the optometrists at all. Where I did have issues was with the front desk staff. I was trying to get fitted for contacts and my insurance clearly states that its only a $35 copay- they had all of my insurance cards on file and kept telling me they encourage clients to pay $120 out of pocket for the fitting since it cant be billed to insurance (not sure why not?). I was looking at my benefit description while on the phone with them and it seemed like they were trying to scam me so I went elsewhere for my fitting- guess what? It only cost $35 like my insurance states. I definitely will not be returning and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone if they cant look up insurance benefits correctly and listen to patients without interrupting.

We were patients of Dr. Stanleys when we lived in Manhattan and appreciated him and his awesome staff! They took care of all our eyewear needs as well as any concerns we had about our eye care. We were sad to leave them when we moved, but theyve been so supportive in our transition to another eye doctor. We miss you all!

I had to make a review because I was impressed by this place. Every aspect of this facility was high tech. From the custom eye to glasses measurement to the auto focus. The Doctor uses systems and techniques Ive never seen before. They use new tests that reduce unconscious eye strain to ensure your eyes are in a good baseline state so that the final glasses prescription is as near perfect as possible.

I love this place. My kids really love it here they are kid friendly and they are thorough with there testing and explanation. They also have a very good variety of glasses to choose from.

I have been going to Eye Care Associates since 2009. This years check up was particularly encouraging. The gals who did my initial check in when I came in were very friendly and knowledgeable. The assistant who took me through my initial tests before Dr. Stanley came in was also very friendly and willing to chat with me about life, rather than just being a robot and going through the motions. I was picking out new frames that day, which can always be overwhelming with so many choices. The employee that took me through that process was also super friendly, willing to chat, and help me shop for glasses. I told her what I was looking for, and she helped pick out a few options that narrowed us down to the final pair that I cannot wait to get back to start wearing. They carefully went through pricing, and I didnt feel any judgement when I said certain features were outside of our budget or I just wasnt interested. They have a new girl training at the front desk so check out took a little longer than normal, but their cheery disposition totally distracts from it. And, when I say it took longer than normal, I mean it was 3 minutes rather than 1 minute. If youre looking for an eye doctor here in town, definitely give then a try!

Ive had really positive experiences--everyone is friendly, my visits are quick, and they ask great questions and listen to make sure the prescription is working and that I get contact lenses that suit my lifestyle.They also voluntarily gave me a copy of my prescriptions so that I could purchases contacts and glasses elsewhere if I wanted. They really seemed to take my convenience seriously, and I really appreciate that.

I have always had trouble wearing contacts and hate wearing glasses. I would give Dr. Stanely 10 stars if I could. He has worked very hard to make my vision as good as possible in contacts. Ive never had someone spend this much time with me. He really cares.

Highly recommend!! We had a scare with our 3 month old daughter over Thanksgiving with possible signs of retinoblastoma (eye cancer). We just moved to Manhattan and were able to get an appointment with Dr. Mark Stanley very quickly. Dr. Mark was wonderful with our baby girl. He was able to complete a full exam including dilating her eyes and was great at explaining what he was checking/testing. We were called back at our scheduled appointment time and were well taken care of by Dr. Mark & Allie (his tech). I appreciate how well they treated myself and our baby girl. Thank you so much!
