I have been bringing my elderly dog to the internal medicine department here for nearly two years to monitor and treat a chronic liver problem. I think that the doctors and staff are excellent, but they love my dog, so I may be biased due to the flattery. ; D

They were so compassionate and immediately diagnosed our kitty Flea. Unfortunately it was terminal and we had to put her down. Their kindness and compassion was priceless

I called in great distress about something I accidentally fed my dog and Alita, who answered the phone, was wonderful. She helped out quickly, gave a through response and was so caring. Thank you so much!

My dog had a severe heat stroke which caused shock, seizures, and his blood wouldnt clot. They saved his life with a plasma transfusion and other measures. They really know what theyre doing! Worth every penny.

Took my dog here because she was in obvious respiratory distress. They told me that a vet wouldn’t be in for 2 hours but they’d check her vitals to be safe. They took her and brought her out 5 mins later and said it was all normal. I’m a nurse so I asked what her oxygen was, they didn’t know. I asked what they counted her respiratory rate as and they didn’t know. They just said it was normal and I could go. It still felt wrong so I went somewhere else. The other vet said they had to sedate my dog TWICE before she could get an oxygen or blood pressure because she was so anxious. Once sedated, they saw that she has LARYNGEAL PARALYSIS which could have killed her. I get that VCA didn’t have a vet to sedate my dog for vitals, but they should’ve been honest with me and not just said that everything was normal. Someone more trusting might’ve unknowingly taken their dog home to die.

This place is fantastic. I wouldnt take my pet anywhere else in an emergency. They are professional, understanding, compassionate, and the best at what they do... I would give them all the stars in the sky if I could. I wish they offered routine veterinary services. But its nice knowing they are there for emergencies.

Spent 7 hours here with my dog yesterday, who was brought in because he had been coughing up blood. After describing his symptoms in detail to 4 different people, we finally spoke with the vet who refused to listen to what my fiancé and I were saying, and insisted that he must be throwing up the blood because if it were a cough he wouldn’t seem so calm. They ran 2 blood tests, gave my dog some anti-nausea medication, gave us a $500 bill, and finally let us take him home around midnight. As soon as we got home, he began coughing again. Will hopefully never have to return to this facility again.

Bring your checkbook. My dog was very sick from something she ate. I brought her to ASG on a Sunday because my vet was closed. I was charged charged $2400 to ‘monitor’ her for 24 hours. No surgery was required, no stomach pump. They basically took her blood pressure and gave her oxygen. She recovered well but what a total rip off. Veterinary staff and techs were pleasant but billing people copped an attitude when questioned about the bill.

I wish human hospitals were as efficient as ASG! One of the attending vets even called me from her own cell phone after her shift to give me an update on my English Bulldog.
