From the moment i walked in the door everyone in the office was helpful and super nice. All the employees were very optimistic about wanting you to have the best vision possible and were excited to help you take your journey through lasik. The video that was shown in the consultation was very informative and on procedure day everything went very smooth and i was in and out very quickly. The Doctor did very well of explaining what he was going to be doing and while on the procedure table the nurses were very comforting and made me feel not so anxious about what was being done. The procedure for me only took about 4 minutes. Since its been a day or 2 i can see very well. I was very impressed by everyone at LasikPlus and i would 100% recommend them to everyone!

The initial exam was fast and informational. I was able to schedule my lasik surgery within a week. The Lasik surgery was done in 15 minutes, it was painless and I was able to see right after. I drove 4 hours to get to this appointment and 4 hours back home under the guise of financing for everyone only to find out that they wanted to charge me the maximum amount ($2,400) per eye and that I required a $500 down payment before surgery could even begin. They could have told me this on the phone and saved me the trip and gas. The $1000 discount they offered didnt even bring it down to what would have been an acceptable price. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone that expects HONEST upfront service.

I had my LASIK done 3 weeks ago, and I am surprised to see how fast your vision can be improved. The doctors and staffs are very helpful in term of its surgery and the follow up, and you can call them for any question you have. Highly recommend for anyone who want to have their good vision back.

I got Lasik from here on the 26th of May. The staff is very straightforward and knowledgeable about the procedure.They took their time assessing me as a candidate before getting into any financial details. After I got confirmed as good candidate, they walked me through the answers to all my questions and made the financial side of the surgery very straightforward, no extra charges or random fees. The surgery itself only takes like 5 minutes per eye. Dr Ellis is VERY calming to be around. He and the assistant helped calm my nerves by peacefully walking me through the procedure. They were very friendly and exuded confidence in their skills. I (eye, lol) did not feel any pain except a little pressure from the suction cup they use to hold your eye in place.Post surgery I went home and took a nap like they recommend. Woke up with decent vision. The following morning I woke up with perfect vision. They only time I experience dryness is after I drink alcohol or when I am dehydrated. Even then it feels better than when I fell asleep with contacts in and woke up squinting.Highly recommend getting Lasik from Dr Ellis and the staff at Lasik Plus. Taking the time to explain, perform, and follow up on the procedure are all very important to me for any major move I make. Had my virtual consult in March. They explained everything really well. Went in on a Thursday for my consultation and same day treatment. Consultation went well, the explained everything I needed to know for after care. The process took maybe two hour from walking in to walking out. They made sure to cover everything and made sure it was a decision I wanted to make, and I’m glad I did. I am still healing, but activities are much easier, as I don’t have to keep stopping to clean my glasses or adjust them. Plus they give you a pair of sunglasses to start off with. Thankfully it was raining that day so it wasn’t super bright. Make sure you follow doctors orders on after care. Hopefully my friend who referred me, got her referral bonus, which is also a part of their program as well. Thank you all!

Have had an appointment for over a month. Receive a text message to confirm my appointment then receive another one stating updated COVID guidelines are requiring them to cancel appointments. There have been no updated COVID guidelines in the area in weeks. I checked before writing this review. I called and told them I had time off from work for this appointment and could not reschedule. I was told they could not see me. Great customer service. Do not recommend.

I kind of miss my glasses! They were a part of my personality and style for so long. However, it is so great not having to carry around different cases, being able to wear sunglasses, and not having clean and adjust them several times a day. Its pretty amazing being able to see first thing in the morning, and Im excited for the little things, like being able to go to a 3D movie and actually be able to enjoy it! Everyone was so friendly! I am a medical professional, and tend to secretly grade other health care professionals when its my turn to play patient. And honestly, everyone passed with flying colors! Thank you all so much!

It has been exactly a week since my procedure and i am 100% healed (at least it feels that way).Long story short:The staff is amazing, there was no pain, and it was 100% worth every penny. I couldnt be more happy with Dr. Ellis and his practice. They are the best in the Midwest for a reason. My procedure is the best decision, investment and money Ive ever spent.Just a quick run down on what to expect:1) Prior to the procedure youll have to come in and get tested to determine if you are a good candidate or not. Once confirmed, you talk to the finance department (if needed) and schedule your future surgery.2) On the day of the surgery you pay and wait your turn in the lobby. If you are squeamish I dont recommend watching other surgeries. When its your turn they will deaden your eyes with several drops, walk you into the operating room and ten minutes later your eyes are fixed. ITS AWESOME.They recommend you sleep 2-6 hours after the operation because that is when the most irritation occurs. For me personally, my appointment was at 10 a.m. From 12-5:30 p.m. my eyes were slightly irritated. Around 6 I had no irritation whatsoever. Far less painful than I expected and so glad I came to Lasik Plus and Dr. Ellis for this surgery. You will too.Good luck!

Recommend! Amazing doctor and staff! I have anxiety on regular basis so one can imagine how stressed I was about this procedure. One of the ladies had an extremely soothing voice and was talking me through the whole procedure making sure I’m breathing and understanding that what I’m experiencing is normal and okay. The time went by extremely fast and felt like the doctor only took 30 seconds per eye! Today is the next day and being able to wake up and see everything perfectly clear is amazing so I recommend it to anyone! Also the price for it wasn’t as much as I expected and it was so worth it!

I have an astigmatism in both eyes and I would totally recommend this procedure to anyone who is considering it. The doctors on site were very informative. At the recommendation of the doctor we only did Lasik on my right eye. My left eye was near perfect for near vision. (trying to avoid the reading glasses). She said to try it out for a month or two and if I want to do the left eye later, we could still do it. I am planning on scheduling another appointment for my left eye in the next month or two.

I’ve been wearing corrective eyewear for 20+ years. Always like the idea of LASIK but never knew it was possible with an astigmatism. The consultation exam was easy like a regular exam very informative. After being approved for the procedure I was scheduled the following week. Showed up was given option of Valium for the nerves and after a quick check of the eyes I was taken back to the procedure room, Dr. Ellis was kind in making sure to answer any questions I may have had. The first part was little overwhelming there is a lot going on sounds of the machines and techs, with a slight chill to the room. Everything was explained as we moved to each part of the procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. It was over pretty quick I sat up being able to read the clock on the wall pretty well. I’ve been very happy with the amount of information I was provided with so I was well informed. Dr.Ellis even called that night to see how I was doing. Follow all the instructions given and it’s a breeze. I was driving the second day and I was letting everyone know that I could read all the things now.

Glasses/contacts free!!!! I had my surgery done late yesterday afternoon and woke up this morning seeing 20/20! This was worth every penny. No more hassle glasses or contacts! The staff was amazing. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. The nurse talked me through the whole thing which helped a lot and the surgeon was very personable and kind. I would recommend this to anyone! I just had my surgery today, and I can by far say it was the best decision of my life. I was panicking the whole time, but the people were so nice and helped me though every second of it. I read all the negative reviews the morning before my procedure and went ahead with it anyways. It was the right decision. I am extremely happy with how my procedure went and the results (now 3 weeks later). My vision is great, no more contacts, no more glasses, no more squinting when not wearing either. It is all a personal result. My eyes were good candidates for lasik and as a result I don’t have any of the negative side effects. Many of those who experienced negative side effects were likely not good candidates and were expecting a miracle.

Not that Im up because of the pain but the shear excitement Im feeling because I can finally truly enjoy all of the beauty around me the way god intended. Im in awe. The doctor even took time from his evening to call to check on my wife and I. Amazing all around experience.

Everyone was kind and friendly from the time I got there until I left after surgery. Same with the post op visit the next day. Everything went smooth from check in to the surgery. My surgery lasted 18 minutes that included Dr Ellis describing everything that was going to happen step by step through the procedure. I had no issues during the procedure. The only discomfort that I had was it felt like there was an eyelash in my eye for about 10 hours. It got much better after that. No pain what so ever from start until now and its been four days since I had my surgery. No reason to wait to have your eyesight changed forever and not wear glasses, contacts or have to deal with cases and solution on vacation when you should be relaxing poolside, well after your eyes heal you can enjoy the pool😉

Loved my experience at Lasik Plus in Kansas City. The whole process was very simple and the staff were comforting. They answered every question I had and questions I didnt even know I needed to ask. I am now seeing even better than 20/20. I would highly recommend Dr. Ellis if you or anyone you know are interested.

The staff is very friendly and informative. It was a very nerve wracking experience but they did all they could to help me stay calm and comfortable. Their post-op follow ups are super easy and fast. This has been totally life changing! I just returned from a vacation and I didnt have to go through the hassle of having to take out my contacts at the beach or pool and carrying glasses around! It was amazing!

Everyone was great from Joel, who did everything prior to my surgery, to Dr. Ellis, who performed it. Jordan, who assisted, was also wonderful. She whispered to me what was going on while the procedure was being performed and it was truly calming. It is scary to have anything done to your eyes but they made me feel comfortable, it was quick and I could see better than Ive ever seen in my life, almost immediately. I just had my surgery yesterday and Im feeling great. Dr. Ellis is wonderful and the whole staff is really friendly. They make sure your as comfortable as possible. I went home and napped after surgery and had barely any discomfort. Today there is no discomfort and my vision is only a little cloudy. Its getting better quickly. Im so happy I made this decision.

Less than 24 hours post surgery and I am blown away! I woke up today seeing the clock across the room clearly! Dr. Ellis and his assistants were amazing throughout the procedure! I felt no pain and it was over so fast!All of the office staff is great! I went on a Thursday afternoon for a consult and had the procedure the next day. Wish I would have done this 15 years ago. Truly life changing!

I had the mono vision done and i just had my3 week check up and my sight is be than20/20 . The procedure went as planned and it was painless and quick. During the procedure there was a whisperer. She kept you calm and up to speed on what was happening. That was so very special and needed since i had such anxiety about doin it. When they finished a had to all of they was really done because it happened so fast. The crew there are so nice and helpful with any questions you had. I would highly recommend this and dont wait! Its the best investment Ive made for myself. It doesnt hurt at all. I have some light sensitivity but Im still healing but i got to get some cool new shades.

I was skeptical because of the food price, but all I have to say is dont be! They are providing quality procedures for a reasonable rate. My vision is now 20/20 and Im feeling great, highly recommend.

It can be a little scary at first, but the procedure only takes maybe 5-10 minutes. You can see immediately after standing up but vision will be hazy. Go home, take a nap, wake up and see everything! Been about 5 days since procedure and most of the haze has gone away. I personally drove in to a follow-up exam the day after the procedure, and they confirmed Im now seeing 20/15. It will still take some more time for the rest of the haze and starbursts to disappear when looking at bright lights at night (or computer screens) but Im able to see perfectly well without the need of any glasses.If you work a desk job like I do, I do recommend asking for a few days off to help your eyes heal up since--while you will be able to read text on screens--your eyes will still be sensitive to the light and you will see haze on that screen for those first 4 days or so.
