Very sorry customer service. Talked to like a child. Walked in without a mask and it wasn’t the policy about wearing one it was the way I was asked to put one on, again I was fine with doing it. Then I was given a basket and told to put what I want in it, I did that and another lady came up and grabbed the glasses I even touched and started throwing them in the basket with the ones I did want, now I have 6 in there instead of the 2 I wanted.Again, it was not about the rules but the way the employees talked like I was a kid. I will still use the company but a different location

Wow! I’m impressed. Great doc and great service! Product excellent and cost effective. I spent over$500 + doc exam $185 and got a pair of glasses that were terrible and unwearable after returning 3 times for corrections! I decided to go to America’s Best and got the correct prescription with Dr Morris and TWO great pairs for $131 inclusive!! Won’t go anywhere else.

Bad customer service, order two pairs of glasses. Was told when I went to pick up that only one was ready. Two weeks later they tell me I only ordered one pair. Showed them the bill. They then said I was over charged. They Fixed the charged. Then told me to have a good day. So I guess I will have to go somewhere else to get a second pair.

I drove 90 miles +/- to this location, fighting Tampa Bay traffic and Im grateful that I did. The Doctor was welcoming, listened to my concerns with my contacts and She made sure every issue was addressed. The GM (Mr. Ward) and Sales Associate (Mary) are awesome, they made sure that I was pleased with my service at the Largo Mall location and helped expedite my new contacts. Although my issues where cause by another Americas Best location, the Largo team owned the resolution and for this I am so Thankful. This type of Customer Service warrants the highest praise and recognition.

Unfortunately there is no 0 star. I made appointment on Friday for my 4 yo son. They call me on Saturday, said they appreciate I filled online (so, they saw he is 4) and told to call back to confirm. I called on Monday to confirm, said it is for my son. I came today 10 minutes before and they told WE DO NOT EXAM 4 YEARS OLDS!!! I was very upset. Told them I called and no one told me that. So unprofessional.

Needed to update contact lens prescription. Made appointment for 6/24/21 and saw a new doctor, Dr. Morris. He was very thorough and answered all my questions. Christina did my pre exam and was very pleasant and took her time with me. Mary wrapped the exam up, got my trial pair ordered and got me checked out. She was great and fun to talk with! Have always liked coming here and it was another great experience.

Total class-act as far as service goes. More importantly the value is totally worth it. 2 pair for $70. I wear contacts pretty much everytime I leave the house for work, social events, etc (and buy them through my optometrist), but I wear glasses at home right before bed. Heres the thing, Im narcoleptic (runs in the family) so I frequently fall asleep with the glasses on, roll over them multiply times at night, they fall into wire spring couches. Lets just say they are abused. Used to spend over $200 on one pair of indestructible frames and glasses, never works. The lenses will eventually scratch, the frames will buckle due to the natural oils on your face breaking them down. I would only recommend spending a lot on glasses if you want designer frames.

I have had great luck with this location. I got some glasses three months ago and realized that the frame was too heavy then I had a problem with the second pair of remakes now I am on my road with my newest pair but in all the chaos everyone was so helpful and so nice. On my last visit yesterday Emily helped me and she went above and beyond and making me feel comfortable and helping me choose my frame. She was very professional and very kind she is definitely an asset to the company and I will do my best to try and get to work with her every visit

Not even a one star. The tech and doctor were great, but DeAnn ruined the entire experience. She showed how extremely rude and unprofessional she was; no customer service skills at all. Even showed sarcasm in front of her superior. The front desk woman with black hair also is extremely rude. Never will recommend anyone to come here; nor will I go back.

Everyone there was super friendly and helpful, the doctor was extremely nice and listened to my concerns about contacts due to an allergy to silicone he helped me find a different brand to try from the current brand I use. My glasses also came back super fast too so thats a plus! And the whole time I was picking out frames no one was trying to up sell me and they genuinely made the effort to help me find frames that werent too big for my face but also big enough to fit my face because Im an awkward size that can fit kids and some adult sizes 🙃

This is my second time going to this location, Wanted to write a review, since I’m very happy with all the process of making my glasses.I’m very difficult Choosing my frames, but this time Ivelisse the Optician, she helped me finding what I really want to wear, the color, the shape, and the style was perfect on my face, and also she was very helpful with the lenses. When I picked them up everything was perfect and everybody else was very nice also, thanks for all you do.

The only reason I give threeStars is because Sandy the manager has excellent people skills I worked in NY retail 17 years and I respect the pride she takes working for the company but my last two eye exams have been terrible I didnt realize I waited almost 90 days to bring back my progressives because they claim I need time to adjust to them then,the frame broke I got insurance on them though but I paid over $400 for these two pair of glasses one basic I never got progressive before I was told I needed them and theyre terrible I cant read anything with them I have to take off my glasses to read and seeing far is about the only thing theyre good for my old glasses are 100% better Ive been a customer for years now I really dont want to use the company anymore but Sandy is excellent but my sight is more important than kindness Ive also never paid that much for glasses and get told a hard case is $10 , really low quality frames and you give soft cases which my thick lenses make the case put a lot of pressure on the frame and the solder broke by lenses I like to be loyal they have looked out previous times but the eye exams have been terrible

I came in today with my daughter for her appointment. The staff was super busy but polite and courteous. We drove across the county as we have heard from several individuals this store location was better than others. Prices are reasonable. Entire visit today was over an hour. Busy bees is what I would call them.

This is my second visit to this location. The first one two years ago was great everybody was very friendly and helpful. This time around was not exactly the same experience. Everyone was helpful and nice until the end when I had to customize my glasses and pay for my order. Ivelisse was the associate helping me. After watching her be rude to two other customers she treated me like I was not even there. It seemed like she was completely disinterested in helping me. She kept looking around at everybody else in the room. She barely went over anything with me. I think she said all of five words to me and that was to tell me that I was wrong for not wanting a second pair of glasses. She could really use some training in her customer service skills.

I am brand new to this world. I received my first eye exam and glasses four months ago and went back today for a contact lens exam. They were the cheapest place out of all the places I called and they gave me a 10 day supply of daily contacts included with the cost of my exam for $89 (without insurance). Wearing contacts for the first time I was a little concerned about how I would get them in and out, Jessica was really helpful, professional and polite. My appointment was at 9:40 AM and I was done with the exam, the contacts and everything by 10:40 it was very quick and painless. The whole experience was easy. Will never go anywhere else for my eye care needs!

My fiancé and I went to this location because we were both in need of new prescriptions and glasses. I am so amazed at the amount of friendliness and professionalism. Mary was so sweet and so thorough with the pre examination she was almost like a tour guide lol. Dr. Hor was also very nice and thorough and she smiled the entire time. I can’t remember the receptionists name or the woman that measured me for my glasses but every staff member at this location is just amazing I recommend them 100%.

I have been avoiding going to see the eye doctor for years now because of a previous traumatizing experience at a different company. However, my sight got to the point where seeing someone was unavoidable and Americas Best was recommended to me. Because of my previous bad experience I was extremely anxious and uneasy when I first came in. When Mary started taking care of my pre-doctor needs all that anxiety went away! She was so sweet, calming, and told me each step of the way what was happening and what she was going to do before she did it. From her I saw Paulina who tested my eyes etc. and she was just as kind and non-anxiety inducing as Mary! She explained everything to me perfectly and really made my experience a great one. The only reason I gave my experience four stars instead of five is because of the lady who was given my prescription after. She checked on me THREE times to ask if I was done picking out my glasses and it had barely been 30 minutes. Because I was dropping $200 on glasses that day, I really wanted to make sure to get ones I loved. I tried on a bunch and then asked for friends opinions over the phone. Its one thing to ask if I need any help, but to pressure me every few minutes was stressful and I felt like I had to rush. In the end I took my time because I knew I was choosing what I would see on my own face every single day. Overall, A really great experience! I will definitely be coming back and recommending this location to friends!

This was my 3rd visit with the Largo location. After getting my exam I was ready to try a new type of contact lenses. Kimm helped me try a 2 week pair of acuvue oasys and after loving the fit she gave me the discounted price and an additional 40% off my glasses! She was so friendly and very helpful!!! Second trip there (there last year in pinellas park), visited largo location. Still an assembly line. Still under staffed. Lady that waited on me was not professional and kept saying it was time fir her to leave. Drove by later, she was still there.Glasses came in two pair correct but sunglasses arrived with clear lenses. 24 hour return. I’ve called the store several times. They keep putting me off. I think they lost my glasses.Each time I call they tell me bot to call me, they will call. That had never happened, I’ve had to call them every time as they are always past the due date!Never again btw eye glass Wirld is the sister company.

I was very disappointed in my visit to the largo mall location today. I had called earlier in the day about buying a pair of glasses but didnt need an eye exam. I was told to show up alone, wear a mask, and I could come right in pick out a pair and a technician would gladly help me. So when I arrived thats exactly what I did.No one stopped me at the door to explain that there were precautions in place. No, instead I was rudely told that I needed a basket for the glasses I was trying on because they needed to be sanitized afterwards. Not to mention at that point I had been inside the store for about 20 mins and seen several other people without baskets. All the more reason why I dont understand why I was spoken to the way she did. Not a problem, went and grabbed a basket and placed everything I tried on into it.Was standing there waiting to be helped and only one person noticed I was ready, but still didnt help me. I placed the basket on her desk and explained that the ones I left open were the ones I was interested in purchasing but just wanted to grab my prescription. While I was waiting for that I was told I could get my current glasses adjusted for free. So while I waited for the receptionist to get that for me she asked another lady if she could adjust my glasses to which she replied that she was too busy for. Probably not realizing I was within earshot because as soon as the receptionist walked away she started gossiping about a friend of hers who just got into an accident.. Too busy to help a customer but not too busy to gossip right?Then the glasses I picked out got dumped into another basket to get sanitized. Which I will point out that I understand that theres a pandemic and your staff is just trying to do their jobs. But what sense does it make to sanitize glasses that are just going to be touched by the same person who just touched them all to put them in the sanitizing tank?? Or touch all the baskets that never got sanitized? Seems kind of redundant. I never got my glasses adjusted nor did I purchase the glasses I picked out. Was there for a hour maybe even longer and several people who came in after me were helped out. I will not be back. The only people who were kind and seemed to be doing anything other than gossiping were the receptionists. I do not wish to be contacted to resolve this issue.

I had to go to America’s Best to pick up my prescription for glasses and contacts and inquire about emergency contacts because I have lost my glasses the day before and couldn’t see without them.They were pretty busy as always, I walked in without an appointment. Kim & The eye doctor went above and beyond in helping me to get my trial contacts despite how busy they were, and were able to help me even though I didn’t finalize my contacts prescription 6 months ago!Thank you so much Kim and doctor for being so kind and professional & sending me home with some trials for now! I recommend this location highly.

Americas Best needs to be more transparent & forthright with their pricing. Its very decieving, 2 pairs of eyeglasses for $69.95 ? Wrong!!!! After you sit down with the sales associate & add in scratch resistant, glare resistant & the warranty your looking at well over $220.This morning I went into the location on Ulmerton, the Saleswoman ( wish i remembered her name, I remember her face ) was abrupt with me, & extremely impatient, Im sitting there examining my eyeglasses that needed to be fixed & she asks me is there anything else? I have other customers waiting, I was like excuse me I just want to be sure this was done right. I then ask for a cleaning cloth since I was never given 1& Im told you have to buy them.......WOW!!!!! You Nickel & dime me over a cleaning cloth after I spent over $230 in June? So an Associate overheard me & gave me a cleaning cloth at no cost.As soon as my warranty is over Im probably going somewhere else to get eyewear.

Surprised to see this place has such a low rating on here. I had a great experience! Doctor and staff were all super friendly. The whole process was remarkably quick and painless. No hidden fees, the actual price was exactly as advertised (what a concept)! Kiddo got his glasses here too and is thrilled with them. Today was my first visit at Americas Best, and it will not be my last. From the time I walked in the staff went above and beyond, they explained everything made sure I didnt have any questions or concerns. And the doctor was great! And yes you can get 2 pair of glasses for $70.00, no that doesnt include all the add ons. I did choose the anti glare for driving at night, which did cost extra, but I still paid less for 2 pair of glasses here than 1 pair at Lenscrafters!!

Such a great place! Always greeted with a big smile and nice hello when I walk in, and you put in line for getting helped. I believe the longest I have waited was maybe 5 minutes even on a really busy day. They are very fast workers but you do not feel rushed at all. The docs there are very nice and honest about what may work for you with other options and it doesnt feel like its all about the money. :)

The front desk staff said at 4:06 when we arrived due to traffic that they only had a 5 minute appointment window and then made us reschedule. I mentioned that even medical doctors give 10 min. I did not feel comfortable with her attitude or information so when I left I called another location who said the companys policy is in fact 10 minutes. I called the same company but a different location. I felt her deportment was extremely rude, as they had already moved the next person forward so they could have just had us in the other appointment? They would have worked the same time as originally scheduled. What I want to communicate is customer service was genuinely lacking and nowhere was a 5 min policy posted in store or online because it is not true. Seems like staff wanted to finish up early on a Saturday to me? Any way you look at it, just poor customer service. I am not looking forward to return visit. I guess I should be prepared for more of the same, but I never had equated affordability with poor service prior to this visit.

I recently visited this location and was seen by a very young optometrist. He told me that I could no longer wear the lenses that I have been wearing for over 10 years because of my astigmatism. I insisted to him that I have not had any issues with these lenses and that they feel comfortable to me unlike the astigmatism ones he was trying to put me in. Never in the 20 years that I have been seeing an eye doctor (and 10 years of wearing the same brand of lenses) have I been told that I had no choice but to wear astigmatism lenses. Even after insisting to him that I tried astigmatism lenses before and had found them to be extremely uncomfortable. When I asked him if my current lenses were making my vision worse he said no. In short, I went to a different optometrist for a second opinion who told me I was fine continuing with the lenses I’ve been wearing and that my vision was fine. Curious as to how many more people he is mis-diagnosing.

I rate the location a 2 because of what I view as bait and switch upselling tactics. I went in because of the commercials 69.95 for an eye exam and two sets of glasses. These were to be my first prescription glasses, but my mother and father have had them since I was a child, and I would go with them. Got the eye exam. Was talked into some extra examination for another $15. Despite advising staff I intermittently see light bursts and black spots with missing vision occasionally, was told I really only needed +1.75 readers. I expressed my concern that readers make it inconvenient for me to work on several laptops at varying distance and several larger TV/monitors about 6 feet away as I do Cybersecurity. The doc said I may prefer progressives. Ok. So after exam, I sit back in the waiting room. I get called over to the desks in the front, and I explain the same thing I just explained. She tries selling me some upgraded progressives rather than starter end. Mind you, I dont know if Ill even like them, so starter end was where I was thinking. I had already chosen 2 of the 69.95 frame deals. I did not include blue blocker, or transitions, or anything special other than progressives. So, she said for $160 I get two pairs with the exam. When she gave me the total it was $240. So, I asked how did we go from 69.95 to 240. Well, youre getting two pairs of glasses with progressive lenses, and youre paying for the frames and lenses. Well what would I have gotten with the 69.95. Oh, you get the frames, but you still have to pay for the lenses. Then how do you actually get two sets of glasses for 69.95? You get two frames. I said, look, Im sorry, Ill pay for the exam, but Im not paying $240 for a set of glorified readers. I apologized, advised I would pay for the exam, and would use the prescription elsewhere. The exam was $65.00. At this point, I dont even know whats included in the deal advertised. Even if they gave me the frames for free as part of the deal, lenses are the cheapest part. I found very similar frames online for $7.00 and with my prescription for progressives, ADDING blue blocker, and something else which bumped me up to a premium lens, each pair was only $45.00 per pair and I only had to wait 2 days. For $240 I would have been waiting 2 weeks. IMO, I should only have been charged extra for the difference in upgraded lens price and the extra $15.00 exam add-on.

So, she said for $160 I get two pairs with the exam. When she gave me the total it was $240. So, I asked how did we go from 69.95 to 240. Well, youre getting two pairs of glasses with progressive lenses, and youre paying for the frames and lenses. Well what would I have gotten with the 69.95. Oh, you get the frames, but you still have to pay for the lenses. Then how do you actually get two sets of glasses for 69.95? You get two frames. I said, look, Im sorry, Ill pay for the exam, but Im not paying $240 for a set of glorified readers. I apologized, advised I would pay for the exam, and would use the prescription elsewhere. The exam was $65.00. At this point, I dont even know whats included in the deal advertised. Even if they gave me the frames for free as part of the deal, lenses are the cheapest part. I found very similar frames online for $7.00 and with my prescription for progressives, ADDING blue blocker, and something else which bumped me up to a premium lens, each pair was only $42.11 per pair and I only had to wait 2 days. The frames were 6.95, so the progressive with zero whatever, blueblocker, free scratch resistence, was an $35.16. For $240 I would have been waiting 2 weeks. IMO, I should only have been charged extra for the difference in upgraded lens price and the extra $15.00 exam add-on.

Just got back from Americas Best glasses, walked right in and was waited on immediately, picked out new frames for the wifes glasses and were in and out in less than an hour. Matthew our technician was very nice and very helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Most of the staff were great, except one, Anita, very abrupt and rude. BUT the exam was thorough and the Doc was wonderful. The person that ordered my glasses for me, I believe her name was Lucia, was PHENOMENAL!! I will def. be back again, just wont deal with Anita.. lol

I found the selection of styles and colors of glasses to be outstanding. The staff was friendly and conscientious. So much so that I bought 3 pair of glasses. When the glasses came in a week earlier than promised I bought a pair of sunglasses. Mathew and Mathew were exceptional.

Unfortunately I have to honestly say you as a consumer should consider other options before purchasing your glasses here. The scratch resistant coating which was applied on my lenses has left a haze around the lenses which I can not see through. The explanation I received was Im out in the sun or by the beach. I would think they would know I live in Florida! Also the color on my frames which I also paid extra for has peeled leaving them a clear color. Must also be because I live in Florida. This all happened right as my warranty ended. The sales women comment was they dont make things as they uses to! I was attracted to the store because of the low price offered of $69.99 for two pair of glasses but ended up paying about $300.00. I was fine with that because I paid extra for the scratch resistant coating and better frames. Its a shame that these up costs are what failed. I am in the customer service industry and understand things do happen but how a company handles the recovery process says a lot. As Ive now Im not impressed. If that changes so will my review.

I just have to say that the lady who helped me was wonderful. She wasnt a pushy saleswoman and she listened to everything that i said & wanted. She did a wonderful job and I even complimented her on her Customer service skills and told her Thank you. Im sorry I cant remember her name this was on Saturday last week. Ive taken my daughter there twice and every single time they do an outstanding job.

Update to my previous review. I have had sub par customer service to say the least & my glasses just fell apart once again from screws coming out. I will not be returning to this store for anything, not even a small adjustment. I have lost any & all confidence in not only the staff but the apparently inferior products. Ive had more time with failed glasses, & long repair times then Ive been able to wear them. Customers be aware.

I had a full exam and ordered 2 pairs of glasses, one sunglasses. I am not sure why there are so many negatives here; I had a great experience. The entire staff was helpful and professional, there were no hidden fees, and everything was explained to me, from the eye exam, the doctor follow up, and selection of glasses. I guess mainly venters are posting; I am writing this because I had some doubts reading the reviews. One of the best eye exams I have ever had, and great selection of products.

Poor quality glasses & hardware. My glasses have spent more time being fixed then I have worn them. Promised 2 weeks, now going to be a month w/o glasses. They finally orderd a replacement wait 2 more weeks to find out they ordered sunglasses to replace my regular glasses. Worst value for money spent. Not to mention standing around waiting to be waited on while 7 employee were all talking to each other.

I have no insurance. The service was FAST and very courteous. Great selection of frames (not too many, which is good), good/clean modern equipment, and staff was very knowledgeable in their field. These folks don’t charge for an eye exam which is awesome because I received a quote from another place for just an exam for a non insurered person which would’ve been over $100. I received two pair of brand name cool frames, with all the bells and whistles on the lenses, professional eye exam with doctor, with no insurance, for under $280! Not to mention that if you go there within 30 days after your purchase, you get 50% off on all sunglasses and lenses. 50% OFF ALL SUNGLASSES AND LENSES!!! I don’t work for these folks but this place sells its self. Kudos to you guys, thanks!

Approximately 3 years ago, my optometrist of almost 10 years passed away suddenly days before my eye appointment! He was a wonderful doctor. I procrastinated getting new glasses and I came into Americas Best based on a friends recommendation.The front office customer service was excellent. I got a warm greeting when I arrived, I didnt have to wait long, the lady that did my pre-screening was friendly. The lady that assisted me in picking and fitting my frames was great. I got my glasses back in less than a week and they fit perfectly. If we considered the customer service alone, this would be a 5 star review.The reason this is only a 3 star review is because of the doctor. He was a very young doctor, he looked as if he had just finished school. He was friendly, but I dont feel I got good advice. I am nearsighted and my deceased doctor told me year after year to wear my glasses for distance and night driving ONLY. This inexperienced doctor tried to tell me that because of the new prescription, I would need to wear my glasses all the time - even though I demonstrated that I can see just fine up close! He then tried to upsell me to progressives or bifocals! I cringe to think how many patients hes given bad advice to.Overall, the service was great but if you choose to go here trust your eyes (and your gut), dont be afraid to question the doctors advice.

I stopped in to get my glasses repaired and although they were very busy they got me right in and fixed up my glasses so they are very comfortable. I did not get the techs name but she was very nice and advised me to stop back in if I need anything. I will definitely be back.

Horrible customer service. You quickly pick out glasses and then they torture you waiting for their slow steps in testing your eyes and doing followup. Not that busy, but no one is too excited about their job. So i guess you have to feel as tortured as they do!Sadly, it ruins any good feelings about liking the actual eyeglasses you have managed to find on your own! Eye doctor was good and did her job.

Absolutely hands down the worst customer service, and just bad business. I bought glasses earlier this year, paid for the warranty. Arm on glasses broke, so I brought them in, they took them and they were just going to replace because they couldnt be repaired. Two weeks pass by and I hear nothing, so I stop in and supposedly my order was cancelled, some computer glitch and here a week later I still do not have my glasses. I spent well over 400.00 for 1 pair of glasses. I would spend double that somewhere else, I will never waste my time or money with this company again...

Excellent service and even better prices. After going to Lenscrafters and getting a quote on a pair of glasses, I came to Americas Best and got a quote on the same pair and it was $250 cheaper!! I will be going to Americas Best Eyeglasses from now on.
