Please do not put your loved ones here. We unfortunately had to place my grandmother somewhere during these pandemic times. We understood that times are tough and staff is worn down. BUT that is NOT an excuse to how they neglected my grandmother. The lack of communication and basic necessities of WATER and MEDICATION and CARE all became an issue. After two months in their care, which included the worst moments of her life ever, we decided to move her. This was also due to the fact that I spoke to a medical staff at one of her many ER visits during that time, that told me she was shutting down because of where she was at! My grandmother is not a complainer, she doesn’t want to upset anyone or get anyone in trouble.Once we moved her, we discovered she had Cdiff. Which I’m not surprised because of how neglectful this facility is. I had contacted a few elderly advocate places and found out how this place was NOT RECOMMENDED by anyone I talked to. Please PLEASE don’t send your loved ones here.I hope they realize their methods are not okay by any standards of humanity and can right their wrongs.

Right about now if I could I would give this facility negative stars. I had visited my uncle in 2018 and even though I was unhappy with a few of the staff for unprofessionalism, it did seem as though he was getting good care. I went back home to New York, but I was always able to reach someone, even on the weekends to be able to speak to him. Now, since about the last 3 months I am able to reach no one. Constantly getting voicemails and even when I leave messeges, I never recieve a call back. When I am finally able to speak with him. I hear more than ever how unhappy he is and wants to leave. I am really starting to wonder if he is getting adequate care.

Everyone is very caring and they have a very nice place with a beauty shop, activity calendar with something for everyone. I also like that they allow pets, as they are good companions and my mom enjoys them when others have theirs out and about. The dining room is very nice, and I feel good knowing she is getting home health, and they have a physician as well as physical therapy available. Everyone is very friendly and caring. I highly recommend Indian Oaks.

My brother was in this facility in the last year of his life. Not only was the director (Stewart Erickson) never there, his second-in-command (Alexandra Erickson) was also mysteriously absent whenever communication was needed. My brother was constantly complaining that staff was stealing small things from him (lighters, change, etc.) and despite his numerous complaints no one was ever reprimanded. The room itself was filled with mold, (under the vanity in the bathroom, in the tub, in the closet) the blinds in the bedroom were broken, allowing passers-by to see directly into his bedroom, and the hot water in the bathroom did not work. When we requested that the hot water, at least, be fixed immediately we were advised that there was another (public) bathroom down the hall and for the first month or two, my brother had to maneuver his cane, his toiletries and his change of clothing down a long hallway and around a corner to get properly clean.Communications between family and staff were non-existent. When I went to see my brother for a visit and to drop off some supplies, we were informed BY ANOTHER RESIDENT that he had been admitted to the hospital a week prior. When staff was confronted they did not know which hospital he was in or WHY he had been admitted. We had to search all of the hospitals in the county to find out were he was.In his final hospitalization, he had been admitted for a week before he passed away. When we went to collect his things we discovered that not only had the staff not been notified of his passing, but another resident had been moved into his room. We were shocked to discover that his things were scattered between his original room and his new one, with the new resident storing his things as best he could around my brothers things. We were actively searching for another facility, unfortunately, my brother passed away before we were able to transfer him. I would not recommend Indian Oaks Manor for anyone.
