Hud vash girl...karen broduess has sold out the very veterans she is supposed to help...she doesnt need leases..looks the other way fir any and all violations and good luck getting a call back..must be getting envelopes..dirty..just check out all vets at bayou courtyard apts...dirty...

I should have wrote this review years ago. When I first started I was on the FSS program when Lisa was there. I was excited because I was going to buy a house. That was part of my goals for being on the 5 year program. Lisa was awesome. She would meet with me monthly and made sure I reached my goals. She left after 1 year of me being on the program. After that it went downhill from there. From my understanding this program helps you build escrow and you can use that money at the end of program as long as you meet your goals. Well my goal was to enroll in school and purchase a home. There were 3 other people that were in charge after Lisa left. None of them was attentive at all. As it was getting close to me ending the program I was excited because I was ready to buy a home. I even went to home buyers classes, budgeting classes, financial classes EVERYTHING. Come to find out I was not receiving any of the money that I built up over the years because they said that I did not meet my goals. When Steve and I agreed that we would change my goal so that I can complete the program. Well when he left Marlana took over and told me I didnt complete my goals. What! The program is a complete joke and wasted my time. This organization does not help residence become better and self sufficient. It would be great if they did. Then more people would become independent and it wouldnt be a long waiting list for people who need assistance. Its so hard to find places that accept vouchers as well. So some people stay with the program because they have no choice because rent is too much in this area. If you do find an affordable place its usually not in a decent neighborhood. Gentrification at its finest.

I wish I could give them zero starts the worst place to ever have to deal with. I have been waiting almost two years to get a call to register, Now that I was called they cant take the time to answer simple questions. The women here are rude and nasty. I bet they wont act this way if you had to see them in person. They tough when they behind a phone or computer, but I guarantee you wont have that same energy with someone in your face. Shut This Place Down!

The receptionist is rude, These people are mean cold hearted individuals. They lie and take forever to get with you about your service. If you have a question , they get snappy and not help you. I feel bad for anyone needed help from this place. I have been calling getting nothing but voicemail although they answered first call when I needed to ask some general questions. I will be reporting this to claims department.

This is to hopefully get some measure of response.I have been awaiting a response from the dept of housing on my sec 8 application. After waiting for 3 months waiting for a response about my housing I receive the application papers work which I promptly responded. Due to the fact that this was around the time COVID 19 I decided to drop my paperwork in at least 7months ago I check for a couple before I stopped because even thought it said I was in waiting for the operator told me that all I could do now was wait for my approval that should come in the mail I was fine but I asked if their was any way to see if my paperwork and she said that if I had indeed dropped off everything should be fine. Well now no one knows nothing and Im no longer in the call sys as awaiting approval my application that I dropped off at their office was never handled. Im a single father of a 9 and 3 year old on disability Ive been struggling and I see no way out please every month is a struggle my email is [email protected].

Our organization works very closely with the Pinellas Housing Authority. Cheryl Williams at front desk, Karen Brodess, and all of the men and women who makes this system run are fabulous at what they do considering the high case loads the Housing Authority carries.

The receptionist is rude , impatient and not helpful at all. I had 1 general question about my income I wanted to ask shes so busy trying to talk over me answering questions I wasnt going ask then put me on hold for 20 minutes SO I called back she sent me to voicemail. MULTIPLE TIMES wow just cant believe thats the norm there its disappointing and also frustrating!!!!

Waited 18 months, got a call for an apartment, we said okay, then never heard another word, called backed to find out we were kicked off with no explanation, tried calling no one answers the phones, went there weeks ago, filled out more paperwork and dropped in box like it said, still waiting for a call, my husband is veteran and hes disabled, very unfair to wait a year an a half and then be kick off without an explanation.

Most of these housing tenants destroy the homes they rent than the housing authority gives these same pigs another home to destroy. What is up with that? It costs the home owners way more than the payments received if they even get payment. me never will I rent to tenants through them again. my house will sit vacant first. than they have the nerve to tell me to lower my rent . it is very affordable already.......

I’ve been a section 8 participate for three years under Clearwater Housing and I’m going to be ported to Pinellas County housing soon and I will be looking for a one bedroom and I know people do keep their place nasty but everyone is not the same Phyllis Dodge my landlord doesn’t even want me to move but I need to be closer to my father he is 80 years old and I need to be there for him when he needs me

Housing Authority needs to crackdown and kick off landlords who ask for huge deposits and not return them to tenants who have taken care of the property. WATCH OUT some landlords do this because they are on the program to take advantage of people on housing. Not all landlords on the program keep your deposit with no written explanation, and not all tenants on housing tear up properties.

They help a lot of people out no doubt about that...but why do the advisors and supervisors have to be so rude... i feel like if u dnt like ur job u should never take it out on other people... and if the voucher participants have questions and dont really understand what u are saying why would you get so agitated... i feel that they need people who really cares about the participants and not just a check!

Was on waiting list.was in hospital and could not get paperwork in on time, called and explained my problem, didnt matter had to start all over and now after a month my application is still not active
