The staff was absolutely amazing at calming not only my nerves but my kiddo. Although the wait was long, it was worth it. The staff made jokes with us, made us feel welcome and at ease and really were hands on with such a nerve wracking procedure for me. Very quick when it came to the crowns and took very good care of him. Although it seemed like a lot of work to be done for my little one Im glad they were extremely thorough, explained everything to a T, and really made sure I understood everything completely.

Do not have your child seen at this facility. They have ruined my daughters teeth and it will be more than a year before she can eat properly again.The preoperative visit covered what was to be done. A few molars were to be extracted (bad cavities), and one front top tooth may need to be pulled, but they would try to use the color match filler if it could be saved. This was the understanding going into surgery. When we got her back from surgery nearly half her teeth were pulled and several of the ones they left were covered in a metal crown. The visual is horrific. All of her front teeth are gone. They even pulled one that was loose (maybe) because It was going to come out anyway.We will not be returning. We already have appointments at a different facility. Dont make the mistake we did. If you need anything more than a simple dental procedure, go somewhere else.Edit: I never spoke with a dentist, assistant or any personnel at the facility after the procedure. I understand that the back teeth will get the metal crown, but when that is almost all that is left after the procedure the presentation is horrific. When I mention that she wont be eating normally for a year, that is not due to the healing time, but the time it will take for all of her front teeth to come back in. Try giving a 6 year old a slice of pizza for dinner when they have nothing but molars left in their mouth.We have taken her to another dentist office and they cannot find the reason all of her teeth were pulled. They reviewed the records, images, and notes provided by this office (Trying to get the records should be a whole other review) and they cannot find a suitable reason. So, if youve found this review, please reconsider putting your child in their care.

I havent had any problems with any of my kids and I took three kids there so Im grateful and pleased with experience I received surgery took less than half an hour and always professional not a long wait time

I’d give 0 stars. I’m extremely disgusted with this place. I originally spoke to someone to schedule my 5 year old sons procedure(back in December). They were supposed to send paperwork to me, containing the appointment date and the cost of the procedure,which I never received. I called numerous times, left numerous messages and NEVER received any calls back. In the messages I made sure to say that my son was experiencing pain from his tooth and that still didn’t seem to matter to them! Absolutely floored by their lack of care. I HIGHLY recommend Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry in Lititz. They’re wonderful!

Wonderful experience! Nurses were very kind and thoughtful. Nice Dr. My 3 year old had the dental surgery, and he’s also type 1 diabetic. Really appreciated how they carefully monitored his sugars and kept me updated!

All of this offices are horrible. If you have a sibling that you have to bring with you, please don’t schedule an appointment with them. That don’t care of your kids teeth hurt or how long you drove for to get there they will make you go back to where you came from. Horrible customer service as well.

My great granddaughter had oral surgery there and everyone that works there was very helpful, reassuring and kind.

Upper front 2 teeth are completely different colors and they do not fit on properly. Im disgusted. DO NOT COME HERE, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. I literally just left their Lancaster location and I AM A VERY PLEASED MAMA!! My babies are doing great teeth look amazing and the staff were amazing and very nice. They explained everything in detail and even gave me my sons baby teeth!! Definitely if need be would use this office again. Great Job Guys!!!!!

My 6 year old daughter had a lot done on her little mouth yesterday. We were so nervous but the nurses and all of the staff here were SO great and so caring, it made the whole thing so much easier for us. I’d recommend them to anyone!

My grandson did not wake up on their timeline. You should know they use pain reception. He is bruised from the pinching of his shoulders. Cruel Callous and never disclosed this to us. Now you know. The medical bureau is next. C Vera

No one pick up the phone in billing department!!!! What is going on? They sent me a bill and it’s not correct because they put in the wrong code. I called my health insurance and that’s what they told me that the billing from this place put in the wrong code. what kind of people are they hired?!! Put in the wrong code and never pick up the phone. When they want to to get your child in to get surgery they would be calling your cell phone constantly and make sure they will get the money. After that if they screw anything don’t bother it’s like their business is not even there cause no one pick up the phone.

Went in today the waiting area was full of kids and parents after being there with my two girls for close to 40 minutes I finally got up and asked when will my kids be seen it took another 20 minutes for them to be called i felt like they overscheduled or they are understaffed i am looking into getting new dentist for my kids i definitely DO NOT recommend this kids dentistry

Worst billing department ever! I have been struggling for over a month to speak with someone regarding my bill and they have yet to return any of my messages. I call and talk to reception and they transfer me to an answering machine every time and it’s so frustrating because they NEVER call me back. I almost believe they are avoiding me because they owe me a refund. Before my sons procedure their billing department made sure to call me that entire week leading up to his appointment to collect payment. Now that they owe me a refund I’m being ignored. Totally unacceptable and very frustrating. Would never go back again. It’s hilarious and honestly quite pathetic how they operate. They demanded payment be made in full before they would operate on my son. Okay, so I paid in full. Then afterward they told me that if there was anything extra that needed paid that I had to pay it as soon as I received a bill or it would go to collections. I never received a bill so I called to make sure I didn’t owe any more and that’s when I was told I was actually being issued a refund of “X” amount of dollars and if I didn’t receive the check within a week to call back.Been calling and calling and nothing. No return calls, NOTHING! And also, like many other parents on here have mentioned, they capped my child’s ENTIRE mouth!! When they fixed one of his front teeth, they made it HUGE so now my poor 4 year old has a capped snaggle tooth the size of coin. It’s awful! I can’t wait for him to get older and start loosing teeth so he doesn’t have to have a mouth full of metal or a giant front tooth. I should’ve listened to these reviews when I read them the first time.But as a desperate parent willing to do anything to get her child’s infected tooth pulled so it wouldn’t hurt I got him in as soon as I could because they were the only ones that accepted our insurance which we still had to pay a ridiculous amount of money up front and out of pocket for. Not believing the other reviews about “extra unnecessary work” was the last thing on my mind but I DEFINITELY should’ve listened. It is what it is now, but I won’t be going back there again. I’ll pay $10,000 cash out of pocket for any other dentist in the area if I ever have to.

Took my 5 year old yesterday to get her teeth fixed. The staff were very nice upon check in. The nurses and doctors were very nice. They explained everything in detail what they were doing. I would definitely recommend this place for your child.

Please do check your kids body before leaving this place after surgery. My 3 yr old son left with bruises on his chest. Worst experience ever😞

1st of all you cant be back there with your children. 2nd since when is your childs tooth a hazardous material. They have no sympathy for parents. Cant even let me have my kids baby teeth. Ill never come back here again.

Please, if your child is referred here, RUN, dont walk away. FIND SOMEONE ELSE to do the work on your child. Go above and beyond if you have to, to search for someone else!!! I am devastated, and I dont want any other parent to ever have to feel this way. the guilt I feel is beyond belief that I let these people do this to my child. My 3 year old son was a patient at the Mechanicsburg office. I begged them to do his work in office. They refused. They even will send in their social workers to assure you that their places are fine and your child will be in the best care. He had just had a dental visit 15 days earlier at which time the dentist told me he was only concerned about 2 teeth, maybe 3. When you get to the surgery center, you have to sign a waiver stating that once your child is under they will do what they deem necessary. I lost sleep over this decision. I did get a second opinion at another dentist regarding my son and because of his age she said a surgery center would be the best option. My son came out of surgery with all of his teeth capped with metal except his 4 bottom front teeth That is right, they capped nearly his whole mouth without ever coming and discussing that treatment plan with me. No parent should ever have to sign that kind of authority over to any dentist! I understand doing minor work while a child is under, but capping their whole mouth including their 4 front upper teeth is unacceptable to just do without getting consent from the parents. When my son got home (my husband took him to the center because I was sick) I called and begged for someone to help me understand why they would do this kind of extensive work on a 3 year old without even discussing it with a parent. I would have flat out said no and certainly taken him somewhere else had I had the opportunity to make that decision. I understood the waiver when my husband signed it that day but I had no reason to believe that kind of work needed done because he had just been in one of their offices 15 days prior to the surgery center appointment. The guilt I feel over this is almost unbearable. I thought I was making the best decision for my son to have 2 or 3 teeth fixed. He came out with a whole new mouth that he has to live with for the next 8-10 years. I have to live for the next 8-10 years looking at him and feeling terrible about the decision I made to take him to a place that would take away all consent from a parent to cap nearly a childs whole mouth with metal. If you are on the fence or know in your gut that you arent sure, dont do it!

We took our autistic daughter here and the nurse,staff,dentist and anthesia lady were all polite and understanding. They made her comfortable, even played with her. Gave us answers to your questions and detailed instructions. Will recommend to others! Thank you for your patience today

I am very pleased with my experience here!! They provide a comfortable setting for the kids. Staff was polite, patient and seemed to generally care about my sons well being.Dr. Monteiro did fantastic work and clearly explained everything that was happening and we really appreciated that. I would recommend childrens surgery center to anyone looking for quality care for their children.

I have never dealt with a more caring nurse than Stephanie at this center. She was amazing and so caring to my 3 year old during his time there. You can tell some people just do it for the money but with her it was a different feeling for sure. Shes def in the right field and we appreciatte all she did for our son after his dental surgery due to his astma. Not sure if she will see this but if so THANKS STEPHANIEOnly downfall i had was i felt like the doctor was rushing my son out who was having issues with his astma because they needed the room thankfully we are pretty aware of his issues and properly know how to care for him at home. But families who dont deal with that issue and get sent home without the proper equipment could be a scary situation.but again Kudos to Stephanie the nurse who was more worried about my sons health than worrying about needing the room. ♡♡ its people like you who make things like that less scary for lil ones.

Other people on here may of had great experiences but not me.Wouldnt doubt they try get me for slander but im willing to go to court against them cause im pissed,At first they seemed alright too but let me get to my reasoning.My child is a 4yr old autistic child,my daughter sees alot of drs between autism,eye dr for brown syndrome,gastrologist for bowel issues,and ear dr. and she still doesnt talk in complete sentences,The denist was last dr i had her goto cause my daughter i knew wouldnt take being held down and have a stranger clean her teeth well.Well thats exactly what happened and since then she makes it hard to even brush her teeth.On that first visit they said we needed to make an appointment to put her to sleep and cap a chip tooth and cavity.Knowing my daughter cause she isnt like other kids i canceled it cause i felt having some stranger hold her down and put damn mask on her will totally traumatize her and affect her for any other dr appointment in the future.I love my daughter and if i felt it was critical id go through with it but she has had no issues with that tooth and plus its a baby tooth and will probably fall out before any issues will ever occur.Well i get a call back from them and they try make me feel like im some terrible father for not going through with it but i bit my tongue and didnt tell them how i felt about that cause for one they dont know me,they dont know the love i have for my daughter and sacrifices ive made for her,im not gonna go on about my private life but ive sacrificed alot for my little girl with if you knew my story you would know where im comming from.Well i then get another call from them and this 2nd woman was much nicer and i agreed id give at least a try but i cant promise its gonna be easy cause my daughter can have breakdowns if not in a comfortable situation.I then called my insurance company and explained my situation with them and told them also i wasnt comfortable with it,and everything i explained previously about her possibly being traumatized by the event and that i dont believe a child should go under anesthesia unless is very critical situation,my brother works in the field of anesthesia so i have been informed on stuff and that my child probably have higher percentage of something bad happening under anesthesia then from a freaking chipped tooth.I explained everything to insurance company and said ill try go through with it but not gonna force my daughter into being held down with mask,and they totally agreed with me and said if the denist and surgery center had any questions about it to call them.I told them on call i had before my visit.Well today i was on my way they call ask if we could make it earlier cause they had cancellation.Once we got there i told them im not sure if this is gonna happen but we could try but im not gonna have someone hold her down put mask on.They said well even with the drink to make her drowsy they still have to do it.My daughter wouldnt even drink the liquid so i told them im not gonna force my daughter into it cause i truly dont feel its that serious to have to go through with it.The the denist tried to give me crap like she takes a chance of getting infected and dying,ok whatever dude dont play me for an idiot i know for damn sure my daughters tooth isnt in that bad of shape,They said they understood and all and we left.Then later in the day i get a visit from children and youth,guess they were pissed they didnt get the money in their pockets that day and wanna try and play off my daughters being neglected and they care oh so much.If they truly cared with their hearts instead of their pockets they woulda understood where i was comming from too.Guess i be looking for a new denist cause both visits were not good cause the teeth cleaning visit didnt turn out good instead of taking breaks between my daughter freaking out from being held down get her teeth cleaned they kept going,i shoulda said something then.They probably see this review and see my name which i dont care,the nerve of these people
