This emergency room has gone downhill. Used to you came here and got great care. Ive been here for hours and have only been triaged. I give one star for service. They have patients being treated in the lobby with empty beds in the back. I havent seen anyone actually go back to be treated. Its ridiculous.

I dont know why I ignored all these reviews and still came to this location. DO NOT COME HERE PLEASE!! Been at the ER for hours! Lady stopped by to tell me shes been in the ER since 11pm last night. Its is noon time the next day now!! What the hell kind of hospital is this? Went home and my friend got super sick again, called an ambulance just to bring him back to the waiting area!! Staff is extremely rude and was heard making awful negative comments about my friend. We then got into an argument and she says well this is life and you just have to wait! I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE EVER!!!!

I was sent to Park West today by my PCP who called ahead. Its now been 5.5 hours waiting in the ER. However, an employee just came out and met her daughter who walked in on her own. They took her information, opened the door and sent her right back. Shame on you Park West.

I will never go to this ER again! My wife was brought in on an ambulance after passing out and having severe chest pains, we sat there for 7 hours without seeing a doctor or even a nurse! They then bring into a room for blood work. The brought her into a hall where three covid positive people were standing right with my wife! This is the worst hospital visit Ive ever had. Very unprofessional, unapologetic, and incompetent are just a few words to describe this hot mess!Do not go or take your loved ones here!

Unconscionable wait of over 6 hours in a room of 6 COVID positive persons. No empathy or opportunity given for patients to take their medication. No hospital personnel to give updates or inquire as to suffering patients needs. I walked out after 6 hours and will never return. Incompetence run amok. Worst customer service any where.

As soon as I mentioned inwoild not pay for anything they may try to charge me and that I would tell my insurance not to pay they took me right back within 1 minute.

If I could give this ER 0 stars I would. We arrived at 4.30 pm, and hadnt been seen yet at 1.30am and after being told there was still 3 or 4 ppl in front of us, we left. But what was really upsetting was how many badly injured ppl, bleeding, crying,, very very sick ppl who came in there who to wait,...on the day I went, 8 hrs, even though some were in desperate condition. The lack of compassion by the staff and complete couldnt care less attitude was appalling. They have lost their focus on what Healthcare is abt I feel.. I will NEVER NEVER go back to parkwest ER. EVER. Please dont ever go there, unless you go by ambulance. But even then, gauging by what I saw, theyd leave you sitting in a gurney in the hallway. For hours..

Tge older receptionist was very rude and chose preferential treatment of incoming patients that looked mo more needy than anyone else. The seasoned attended that night ignored my urologist @Vanderbilt request and used a less experienced nurse to replace a malfunctioned catheter after a very complicated surgery. That was Jan 21,its now April 21,That surgery is for naught. Although we cant be sure this incident damaged that are either this improper change that caused me major blood loss,we for know it was a very bad thing that didnt have to happen. I would suggest not coming here unless its a life or death situation.

12.5 hours in an ER waiting room is unacceptable. For any illness. Our ER systems need to seriously revamp and look at what is wrong! You (The hospital) are there to help people with their illnesses and emergency issues. There is NO excuse for such long wait times..

Obviously nobody wants to go to the ER, but I will never go to another facility if I can help it. I had a great experience as far as ER experiences go. I was in a room within 20 minutes of walking through the door. They let my husband come back and sit with me (which I was so grateful for because during the time of covid that’s not a given) and were very friendly to him as well as myself, making sure he was ok and as comfortable as he could be in the guest chair. David was my RN and I would really like to brag on him especially. I was there for a very traumatic event and he was extremely compassionate and very comforting especially when my husband had to return to work. He continued checking on me many times and making sure I felt like a person not just another chart number. He came in and cared enough to double and triple check that I understood everything I was told by the drs (who were also fantastic and compassionate and made sure to answer all of my questions) and that really means so much. I really am thankful for David’s compassion and all of the fantastic staff at ParkWest for helping get me through one of the worst days of my life as best they could.

First OBSERVATION[PERTAINING TO Covid] 3 Employees sitting together at the check in station with mask. (NOT 6 FT APART)However not allowing 1 person to wait with patient in lobbyNext 8 HRS waiting to see a Dr. [ Looking back through reviews it seems that issue 🤔 is reoccurring since 2015 ] Further research documents also comment on the facilitys ER lack of timely response to patient care by authorized medical inspection of Tennessee prior to COVID-19.Next they should communicate further with family. Not notified when moved to a room. They should communicate upfront aboutthe wait time. [ Really Need to Correct The Problem] 4 HR MAXAlso further research documents suggests that 99 Million Dollars was spent by the newly placed chief administrative officer in 2017 for exterior expansion construction. This problem involving patient care in the ER as mentioned dates back to prior 2015 which is the best priority 🤔I personally will never choose this Hospital! It use to be the best and know I would drive an hour to avoid it! We actually found and received better care at another medical facility later .

I am 30 weeks pregnant and also Covid positive and needed to get my chest examined for pain. Corina was my Nurse and she was outstanding. She was understanding of all my fears and anxieties relating to bloodwork and needles. She was calming and comforting. Dr. Kah was also very knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. Both Corina and Dr. Kah made my experience as great as it could be, considering the circumstances.

This is a follow up to the review under the name Celine Forsythe, which I wrote using her phone. She was finally seen after a wait of more than 5 hours. At triage, the nurse was informed that she had a displaced fracture in her hand. Triage took place within 30 minutes of our arrival. The wait time would have been slightly more acceptable if someone would have simply communicated with the patients/family and informed us why there was such a long wait and how long it might be. We saw three people leave to seek care elsewhere and one left saying she would rather go home and die rather than dying in Park Wests waiting room! The care she finally received was great. Dr Moody, the R.N. and X-Ray techs were professional, courteous, and VERY apologetic. Having said that, we will still go elsewhere if ever we need emergency care again!

First visit ever to an emergency room Tuesday, Jan 28. Sent by PA for possible blood clot in right leg. I was terrified upon arrival and tremendously relieved upon dismissal. Dr. Bryce Moody is amazing. He had several tests run to rule out blood clot, but was not satisfied until he found the cause for my swelling. After blood work, ultra sound, and CT scan found that I had a severe hematoma. Dr. Moody came to my room and very patiently and clearly explained my situation and treatment plan. I left feeling very knowledgeable and relieved. Whole staff at PW were amazing from the ultrasound lady (dont know her name but she is in need to double knee replacements) to the nurse, Joy. I felt exceptionally well cared for. Thank you everyone at PW emergency room.

I came here because they did a minor surgery on me last week and theyd have my history. We drove past UT for that reason. In extreme pain, 90 minutes ago they said I was next. Since then theyve cleared out the other 6-8 patients in the waiting room, and I just asked the receptionist if she could call back and ask how long, she said if she did they wouldnt give her any info and just hang up on her. Stellar customer service. I went to use the rest room.. no paper towel, floor was gross and sticky at 4 a.m. with almost no one here. At 2.5 hour wait now, not getting a warm fuzzy from the service.Outpatient surgery experience last week stellar. ER not so great this far. Wondering if I can call 911 for ambulance to UT.

Called about help for covid. While given the disclaimer we cant tell you what to do was told basically dont come unless youre turning blue and sufficating then call 911. When told of low o2 levels and not being able to stay awake blamed it on not waiting long enough to read it. Im sorry I couldnt be my own nurse while struggling to breathe. Completely lost faith in this place.

Wow just finished an incredible late night ER visit at Park West. From the time we walked into Park West we experienced a huge difference then we had at the ER in Leconte and UT. Those ER waiting rooms were loaded with serious drug addicts. It’s so unfortunate that so many young people are suffering. But that should have no reflection on the care and treatment given by all the ER staff. Park west was so much cleaner and professional. Then we saw Dr Piper who gave top notch care to my husband! He has a passion and loves his work. Thankful!!!

Staff disappears for hours at a time. Complained several times that my IV was painful with no help. My boyfriend had to search for a nurse so I could get up to use the bathroom. They stated they were coming to release me soon. Been sitting here another 45 minutes with no help but can hear everyone laughing and chit catting around the hall.finally got up and rolled my iv down the hall to the bathroom without anyone even noticing.ER doctor Dr Yount is incredibly un empathetic and not at all helpful. Will not come back which is sad because this hospital used to be top notch. Would give 0 stars if I could.

2 year old came down with fever and feeling really crappy, we live out of town. I decided to take him to Parkwest emergency room..... He was obviously not feeling good, Eyes barely open, body on fire. Took them 45 min to get him even triaged, we go back and she takes his temperature (underneath his arm) and tries to tell me it’s 97.7, which I knew was not right. she basically said go out to the waiting room and we will get to you when we can they can take it rectally.. I left... went to the car and immediately took his temperature with a brand new thermometer 102... So we put him in the car and are driving two hours home to our pediatrician... I guess if you are in knoxville with a Toddler go to the Children’s Hospital. Parkwest was a JOKE.
