Best hospital experience we have had in a very long time! Every single person we came in contact with was kind, professional, and fast.

Was here and walked out because they take u as a joke there. People are in the waiting room looking half dead. Cant breathe. Some are bleeding. And the nerve of the nurses they saw some elderly man trying to wheel himself over to the doors to look outside and she laughed and said wheel chairs a little too big for him. And walked away without helping or asking if he was ok or anything. Someone else came in and said they needed to give their family a bag and they told her ohshe up and left the girl asked how is that possible she was in the back with the nurses and the nurse shrugged and said not her issue she left.

Last year, I went here at 3 AM on a weekday with severe abdominal and I was curtly told there would be a 10 hour wait. There were ~20 other people in the crowded, dirty waiting area. Some of them looked (and sounded) VERY sick and were sprawled out on the floor. After an hour of mind over matter I hadnt even been triaged, so Ubered to Tennova and was seen immediately. You can tell the staff has been conditioned not to care. Definitely some Stanford Prison Experiment vibes.

Do NOT go here nurse was aggressive with giving me an IV , She drew my blood and ended up forgetting it inside of the room I was in and had me waiting unnecessarily for an extra 2 hours and yanked it out of my arm when I was being discharged. She’s a lady with blonde curly hair , black scrubs and blue eyeshadow I should’ve got her name.

AFC Urgent Care sent us here because they would not see my wife who was suffering chest pains and pressure. We arrived about 4pm and checked in. An hour later a lab tech took blood samples and did an EKG. Then we had to wait for another 5 hours before a doctor saw us. But wait! Isnt this an emergency facility? All the while we had to wait in the waiting area. This was during the COVID 19 mess and many folks there, including a receptionist either didnt wear a mask or wore them with the nose exposed. And a few of these would come near where we sat and stand a foot away!!! No proper PPE use or safe practices despite signs everywhere requiring folks to do so.Anyway, in the end we saw a doctor who told us all tests were normal but a CT Scan should be done. He said he would admit her to the hospital for this. We chose to leave and get it done elsewhere. It was 11:00 PM when we finally escapedToday I read all the reviews on Google and am sorry I didnt before. I would have gone elsewhere if I had. It is truly sad that the bad reviews stretch over a number of years. Guess the facility just doesnt give a darn.Update; The billing has come in for that visit. Outrageously it all came to $3,188. The doctors part was the highest portion at nearly 1700. But he only saw us for a maximum of 5 minutes. Outrageous indeed. My honest advice folks is STAY AWAY from this hospital. Outrageous costs for no real help.

Most unfriendly family hospital. Have no babysitter and they would not allow my child to come in with me. This is a disgrace and defeats the purpose of care. How do youbtwl a 4 year old that you are not allow due to your age?use this info in the picture to have this hospital under review. They are out of compliance with their state contract.

READ THIS ITS RECENT!! I was told that I’m too urgent for the urgent care clinic I went to. I was also told by the ER that I’mnot a big enough emergency to get medicine and iv fluids in less than 8 hours total with constant vomiting and cramps. I have been here since 11 am and I’m currently writing this at 4:00pm (two hours ive spent waiting on discharge papers that I had to argue for) . These people will put you in a room and then store you there like a dunce in a corner. Don’t go here if you want your problems solved

Definitely not there for the patient. They literally had nothing I needed. No pillow, no blanket, no sprite, no Tylenol. I waited over an hour for a wheelchair to leave because the nurse thought I should walk out, even though my oxygen level would drop below 70 going to the bathroom. Sad and pathetic is what this place has become.

Fractured my finger and after an hour of just sitting there I had to ask what I was waiting for before they realized my x-ray request had not been put in properly . The x-ray guy seemed to be on some type of narcotics. Instead of the so many nurses they have working I watched as a group of them sat and talked and googled Thanksgiving food instead of realizing I had been sitting there for a year! This hospital is awful!

I recently had my first trip to the emergency room since moving to Knoxville. Upon arriving. You are confounded with a myriad of parking garages. The actual ER is the dead end of a canyon what is not apparent is any signage directing you where to park for for the emergency room. I choose a nearby parking garage and hobbled up the hill of the canyon to the ER. Where to my dismay i found a parking lot for the emergency room only visible once you were there. Large signs proclaiming you will be charged for parking. No they do not validate.Other than that i was seen quickly and received warm sincere care. My NP Josh did an excellent job stitching up my leg.

The worst ER experience ever. The waiting area was packed, with some people having waited for care for 4 hours. Its dated, dirty and no privacy, The staff was pleasant and the doctor kind. I brought my elderly father in with confusion and dizziness and they.did not check his urine, that should have been the first thing. The parking is ridiculous, we had to push him out in a wheelchair so wide it did not fit well between the chair rows. Had to take an elevator to the parking garage which runs slowly. The parking garage is separate from the hospital, no security, security cameras, not safe for a woman to walk alone. The waiting area is too small, they use it as a room and kept bringing my dad back to the waiting area after tests. They need renovation bad.

Im honestly surprised that the emergency room doesnt have more positive reviews. I wouldnt go anywhere else after my overnight visit.Long story short, I went to UT medical emergency room two weeks ago (you should be wary of that place, not ft. Sanders). I had severe abdominal pain. I had to wait about 2 hours to be seen. Finally seen and doctor did an ultrasound. He found gallstones but everything else looked good and so gave me a diagnosis of gastritis with acid reflux meds and pain killers. Took medication except for pain medication. Pain increased and intensified. Thus began my prisoner of war diet which was basically triscuits crackers, soup, and yogurt. Two days ago, I had an appointment with my regular physicial for lab work and for the abdominal tenderness and pain I was feeling. I had to wait there from 8 am to almost 10am because she was late. This has also happened before when I had a lan appointment so I will be firing her. Any doctor that is late to morning appointments and makes someone who has been fasting all night wait like that, especially if in pain shouldnt be practicing. She thought I had maybe an obstruction because I have been constipated. She ordered a host of tests, referred me to a gi specialist and a surgeon. Made the appointment for a CT scan of my belly. All of these appointments had a 1 month waiting period, except for the CT scan which I would need to wait a week for.My pain was unbearable. I was hunched over the steering wheel dropping my two 6 year old twins and step children off at school. I wouldnt make it a week.I went to Ft. Sanders emergency room. Was promptly seen in intake and triaged. I basically waited all about 5 minutes and then got a bed. Nurse put IV in me.and I saw the doctor about 30 minutes later. Explained my symptoms and he told me he would get to the bottom of it.Nurses were all very nice, although I will say I had to be poked for blood numerous times lol. Not a huge deal since I was dehydrated. All the staff in the emergency room were professional and very nice and caring.Got a CT scan within an hour of being there. Had to.wait maybe 1 more hour and a.half and doctor.showed back up with general surgeon. Surgeon admitted that my gallbladder looked awful and that he would make room to have it out that day. Amazing ! Within an hour I was in surgery holding, within another I was in surgery, and then recovery.Dont get me started on the surgery wing. They were all so very nice and caring. I cried because I was very scared and they were all just so warm and compassionate. Im not prone to over exaggerating on hospitals because usually they suck but the staff went over the top to make me feel safe and positive about the surgery. The anesthesiologist.. not sure what her name is, she had short hair dark brown hair, tall, and very friendly, was awesome. All I had to do was tell her how nervous I was and she told me everything that she was going to do and give me to help with my anxiety. She was awesome. The nurse in surgery holding was also amazing. I dont remember her name either but she was just so nice and caring and even gave me a hug.I would also like to say the nurse aestheticians were great also. My surgeon, Dr. Thurman was also amazing. These guys are my super heroes and this is honestly.how surgery should go. They made everything okay and I have nothing but great things to say about this hospital and its staff.Dont.bother with the low rating. The bad reviews were probably written by people who didnt get their way or pain meds lol. If you need emergency surgery for gallbladder removal, I highly recommend Dr. Thurman and Ft. Sanders hospital, as well.as their emergency team and surgery team.Thank you Ft. Sanders for being awesome and actually making me feel better.

I was not seen for 4.5 hours, and was here for a total of 6.5 hours. I was told I had been here the longest, and people were just walking in and going on back. I guess severe, stabbing stomach pains are considered unimportant. They didnt even have beds available and were taking everyone to beds in the hallways. In addition, I went into the only bathroom open, and it wouldnt lock. I had to jam my wallet into the door handle and hope no one came in. When I turned around, there was blood all over the toilet, wall, and floor. I almost ran out of the bathroom. Where I work, this is a biohazard to infect people with others blood! I tried the bathroom in same day surgery, but it was also closed off. The front entry way to the ER smelled strongly of urine, as well. I would say the carpet probably needs to be ripped out or professionally cleaned.

I dont like to go to the ER it takes a lot but I will not ever go there again. Uncaring rude people .

The ER staff here some are friendly and some are not. When we came in from the ambulance first Off, my partner was loosing oxygen to the brain and the emt staff treated it like a panic attack while she was pale and blue. I had to give her emergency cpr pretty much whole emts did nothing. Then the er staff told other staff members and people who arent even er staff about my partner and told everyone her business and im sure that violates HIPPA. Cause that er staff got other people to come in the room who by the way isnt her er nurse or dr to look at her and talk to her. Just random people. Then the ER staff and DR said they were going to call her doctor to find out what needs to be done. Went to speak to her doctor and her doctor said that the ER staff didnt even contact him!!!! My partner has so many health issues that isnt normal. So YES YOU HAVE TO CONTACT HER DOCTOR WHENEVER SHE GOES TO THE ER FOR WHATEVER REASON; especially when she looses oxygen to the brain causin seizures. Esp when you didnt even ask what food she can eat when shes not suppose to be eating solids and you gave her solid food to eat. And medicine she is allerigic too.She came home full of rashes from an allergic reaction and was sick for a week before recovering from the ER

If you have a choice, DO NOT go here for even something simple. You will wait forever, be made to stand in an assembly line of patients, not get even a bed to lie down in so you dont fall over, and the staff are completely overwhelmed. We just moved into town and had the displeasure of visiting this emergency room today. There were so many ppl in the waiting room, I gasped out loud.An older gentleman was sitting in a wheelchair, with a gash on his head, waiting for his diagnostic tests to come back with the results. They wouldnt even give him any type of rag/paper towel to soak up the blood! We left ASAP. We didnt even care how bad we were both in pain, and in need of care. We didnt want to be treated like all those othercattle.

3 hours. 3 hours to get a walking boot. At which point one of the doctors/nurses comes in and says I expected you to be gone by now, I was eating. Sorry. Followed by another nurse shortly after asking us why were were in the room and who we were waiting for. Quite possibly the worse ER Ive ever been to.
