Our family has been visiting this studio since we moved to Knoxville in 2018. I would highly recommend this Team for their service delivery from the front desk to the caregiving at each dental chair.A great Team with safety and service in mind. Weve dealt with crowns, reworking poor dental work performed by other dentist, regular check-ups, Ortho, the full gambit really. Through it all this team has been there providing top notch service and safety at every turn.Even though the location has moved we still enjoy our Downtown Team.Yes, Ive read the news and even received a letter, all completely over-dramatized, IMO and quite a bit of speculation and unwarranted comments in some of the negative reviews. Were it not so then the Tennessee board would have shut them down long ago.This is a solid crew that my family and I look forward to visiting for years to come!We do miss the convenience of the downtown location though. :)

Dr. Nabers is the absolute best dentist to see in Knoxville! I used to live in Knoxville and even though Ive moved, I still drive in from Atlanta to see Buzz for teeth cleaning and whitening. This is by far the cleanest dental office Ive been to and the people are super nice. The dentist and dental hygienists in Dr. Nabers practice demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and professional values that define a competent practice of dentistry.

I was a patient of Dr. Nabers for several years but will not be going back. The fact that he put the health of his patients at risk without taking any responsibility is disgraceful. The minimum you expect from your dentist is that they won’t potentially expose you to HIV or hepatitis. Look literally anywhere else for your dental needs.

I *WAS* a long time patient of Dr. Nabers but unfortunately the recent indiscretions that have come to light has forced me to find a new dentist. While I loved the spa like treatment & mostly wonderful staff (minus their accounting & front desk staff) I cannot consciously put my health at risk by continuing to see someone that is so irresponsible when it comes to the safety & health of their patients. His recreational drug use was the first strike, then the fact that all patients hes seen/treated over the last 3+ years have been advised to be tested for hepatitis & HIV due to his lack of care & proper cleaning of instruments!! Add to that the fact that staff tried to cover it up & act like its no big deal while expecting US to foot the bill for testing?! Im not sure how anyone can support his practice & Im shocked that the state of Tennessee has not permanently revoked his license. Its sad that someone so careless is not only allowed to continue to see/treat patients, but the fact that he has the gall to continue practicing while knowing he put so many peoples health at risk is astounding & quite sickening. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Dr. Nabers to anyone!

Because of recent events, I would recommend going elsewhere for dental needs: Due to improper sterilization of dental tools, Buzz Nabers Dental may have potentially exposed patients to HIV & Hepatitis - patients of the last three years are now urged to get tested. Look it up.Other than than the potential exposure to such terrible ailments due to utterly irresponsible hygienic practices, I guess the hand wax was fun to use. Not enough go quell my disappointment & anger though.

Would not recommend. My family and I were possibly infected with Hepatitis due to poor sterilization of dental tools. Better options out there.

Unethical, unprofessional, and highly problematic practices (only fancy on the outside; do not be fooled by their good-looking office space and devices). My biggest mistake since I moved to Knoxville was visiting this dentist’s office. Gave me such a negative view of this city as a newcomer, and I have not been to any doctor’s office here due to the trauma I experienced with this office (I go back to my hometown to do checkups). I was very close to filing a lawsuit or reporting to TN dept of Dentistry of my complaints regarding the permanent crown I got done from this office (from billing issues to poor crown placement and resulting pain that wouldn’t go away for months, etc.), and then soon reports came out that the Dept of Health found their violations of ethical standards. My issue wasn’t even related to the recent public reports, so I only imagine how many more problems they must have internally that they are hiding behind those fancy chairs, hand waxing machines, warm pillows and blankets they provide to entice customers... Be aware and evaluate your dentist by their dental practices, not by their spa services.

Edit: review changed after they called to tell me to get tested for hepatitis because they werent cleaning their tools. Big scandal, I think theyre closed now.Ive been telling every one I know about this office since my first appointment. Half dentist, half ultra modern spa. I cant believe my insurance pays for this. Ive had some misfires with dentists since moving to Knoxville. I think Ill stick with these folks.

I have been going to Dr. Nabers for years. The recent news of his horrendous misconduct, pressing staff to do procedures they are not licensed to perform, not properly sanitizing his instruments, and forging documents horrifies me. I had to be tested for HIV, hep B and hep C due to this practices poor sanitary techniques. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I left this message on his other page awhile ago, but just realized there were two places to rate. I also wanted to say that im very disappointed that after almost a decade of being a patient here I still have not recieved my letter of notice from Dr. Nabers on this matter. I had to find out to get blood tested from another patient who works with a friend.

Update: A heartbreaking dealbreaker. Hygienic practices should be taken for granted at a dentist. Apparently not here.Old post:Location, location, location! I imagine that a dental studio this chic, with such friendly, competent staff would be a success anywhere. Being in the heart of Knoxville makes that all count doubly. The very clean and modern dental suites, amply sized and spaced, with optional warm neck pillow and hand waxing (!?!) pair nicely with the kind, caring, non-judgmental staff. They go the extra mile to explain options and work with your scheduling/insurance/budgetary constraints. I’m actually looking forward to my next visit.

I was a patient at your downtown office. Given recent events I will no longer be one. It is extremely unethical to put patients health at risk due to willful negligence. I hope that no one contracted anything life threatening and I hope this costs you your practice sir. You are a POS and everything wrong with American capitalism.

Just look him up on Google. No other explanation necessary. Go elsewhere.

Would give a “0” star but it’s not an option. He’s been placed on Probation for dirty practices with his equipment. Do not use this dentist if you value your health. Because of his unsanitary practices me and my wifel and many other strangers will have to get HIV and Hep C testing because of his laziness. Hope he loses everything because of this. He’s filth!!!

Run away from this practice. Had hygienists do dental work only dentists are certified to do and reused equipment without sterilizing. All former patients have been urged to be tested for hepatitis and HIV

Friendly, efficient, and super accommodating if you are anxious about the dentist. Best dentist Ive ever been to.
