Ive been seeing Dr. Martin for several years now and he truly is one of the best around. You get in his chair and before long, it is all over and not once in all those years have I ever left his office unhappy with his work.He is kind and reassuring and his staff reflects the culture of of his office.I have recommended him to any one I know who has needed dental work.

My son had a cleaning appointment scheduled today at 2pm that he made 6 months ago. When he got there the office was closed for vacation the entire week. No one called to reschedule him due to vacation. Im not able to leave a message so Im doing this review. I hope this can be corrected quickly when they return from vacation.

I moved to Knoxville from upstate NY. At my last meeting with my NY dentist, he recommended a very costly procedure. Then I met with Dr. Martin -- he calmly explained that the procedure was not what I needed. He suggested a smaller project -- and showed me that doing his project could be augmented by another procedure if I was not happy with it.Importantly, even if I changed my mind, I wouldnt lose money.Dr. Martin is very good at what he does. I trust him -- and he saved me thousands of dollars. I recommend Dr. Martin wholeheartedly.Good luck!Chris H

I just want to say I am so impressed with Dr. Martin and the dental hygienist who performed my cleaning today! (I forgot to ask her name but she was amazing!) It was by far the most gentle yet thorough cleaning I’ve had at a dental office. It made me actually look forward to future dental visits here and not like how I’ve dread previous painful dental cleanings that I’ve had at other places in the past! The service was quick and efficient but I was still taken care of 100 percent! They also have such a great bedside manner and are very informative when it comes to your dental health. Check-in was also super quick and efficient too with filling out the paperwork digitally!

I’m visiting from out of state and had an emergency. Dr. Martin and staff were concerned and careful about the procedure that I needed. I’m so grateful for the repair.

Dr. Martin and his staff are always very nice. They have always taken the time to talk to us and answer any questions. We’ve never felt hurried out of been belittled. Our whole family goes to see Dr. Martin. The atmosphere of the office is comfortable and very clean. I trust the whole staff with all our dental advice. We enjoy going to the dentist here

Super nice people! They made setting up an appointment easy, they even let you pick what you wanna watch on the TV while you have your procedure done! Fillings were quick and easy, super nice staff. Dr. Martins delicate and professional and makes you feel very welcome!

I had a wonderful experience today. I had lost part of my filling that I had gotten at another dentist, who has now retired. I was nervous about finding a new dentist, but hit the jackpot by finding Dr. Martin. The entire staff were all very friendly and efficient, and he was amazingly gentle and reassuring with how he handled my procedure. I would highly recommend him as a dentist!!

Dr. Martin got me in on short notice due to pain. He and his assistant did a thorough exam and found that I had a cracked tooth. He was careful in using anesthesia before trimming my tooth and applying a temporary crown. I am very pleased with him and his team.

First of all...I have found my NEW dentist! There are numerous reasons to choose Anthony Martin as your family dentist. Staff is super courteous, respectful and friendly. Front desk/reception is the same. They are accommodating. Their payment plan through CareCredit is amazing! And Dr. Martin is absolutely the kindest and most calm dentist ever. He says, youre doing great and youre going to make it a lot. SMILE! He knows his stuff, has all the latest technology bells and whistles and will make your visit with minimal discomfort if at all possible. Yep. Im sold on Dr. Anthony Martin!

I will not be returning to this Dentist office. I was a patient of Dr. Martins along with my husband and 4 children. We had appointments together. They send text for the appointment times, which is great except they sent the wrong time. We arrived at the scheduled time and they refused to see all of us because they sent the wrong time. I wanted my husband and kids to have their appointment so I opted to set out. They were not apologetic about their mistake only stating that they would fix it in their computer so it would not happen again. (Maria at the front desk is not a friendly person). Then we reschedule for 6 months. Come 6 months later we arrive for our appointments again, all 6 of us, and they refuse to see me again. The dentist was not at the office that day. They saw my children and my husband for their appointments but refused to see me again. They refused because they had refused my previous appointment and when it has been that long the dentist has to be in the office. Both instances was their negligence. Both instances their was no apology. (Again Maria is not the nicest person on the plant and only acts annoyed that I will not just reschedule my appointment). I have since found a new dentist that I am happy with. Just very disappointed in this office that they never made any effort and just kept acting like I should just reschedule, which is not easy to do when you have several children to coordinate childcare. Dr. Martin has always been nothing but nice and I feel that he is a good dentist. He has been great with my children and has good character. I left this office based off how I was treated by his office staff during these 2 instances.

We came calling with tight schedules and immediate needs. Dr. Martin’s staff handled all of them with ease. I found his bedside manner very comforting and was glad to be out the door so quickly with my problem resolved. I will recommend him to family and friends without hesitation.

Love Dr. Martin and all the staff. I have really bad anxiety but they make me feel so at ease and comfortable that it does not cause me any issues while I’m there. From Maria at the front of the house, to Tracy and Renee who assist and clean my teeth. They are amazing.

Dr Martin has been our dentist since early 2000. He and his staff are professional and personable; and his practice is clean and sanitary (and easily accessible off Kingston Pike). He recently handled a dental emergency, and we were so impressed with his clinical care and the kindness of his staff. Hes a busy dentist, so you certainly have to schedule an appointment in advance, but in our opinion hes worth the wait.

I have been a patient of Dr. Martins for many years and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.Dr. Martin has offices in both Knoxville and Fairfield Glade and the fact that he sees patients at both office locations on the same day says a lot - My hats off to him!The office environments are very welcoming and comforting, and the entire staff is always upbeat, pleasant, professional, and helpful.Dr. Martin takes the time to answer any and all of my questions and concerns.Hes extremely knowledgeable and compassionate.The first time I went to his office I had a concern the next morning and the office manager said she would have him call me back as soon as he got in - Well I was pleasantly surprised because he called me before he even got to his office!Another time it was after hours on a Sunday at 10 p.m. and I called the office number and was shocked to hear that the doctors cell phone number was listed on the voice message (...if a patient needs to contact him heres his number...)Sure enough he replied back a short time later!His fees are competitive with others in the area and now with his newly implemented in-office dental savings plan its perfect for me.I can not say enough great things about Dr. Martin and his staff.

Great place! Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. I previously went to a place that told me I needed $2,300+ worth of dental work to be done after just fixing most of my teeth before and after braces and I have insurance so this would be out of pocket. I came to Dr. Martin’s and he put my worries to rest. Only one thing to be done that cost about $60. He showed me everything that I needed and made it simple to understand. Very kind doctor and gentle with my fear of needles. Would recommend to anyone!

Will never come back. I am 67 years old and have Medicare that covers free check up, free cleaning and one free fill. They gave me two x Ray without asking. They wanted me come back four times later to have my teeth cleaned. Each time costs $170. I end up have to pay $170 for x-Ray and got no cleaning done.I will never come back and never refer my friend to this place.

Extremely professional greeting upon entering the office. Dr. Martins office is one of the nicest Ive ever seen and quite comfortable for the short wait. I switched from my dentist of 15 years to find a dentist closer to West Knoxville and definitely made the right choice! I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Selecting a new dentist is always a stressful experience (at least for us). We decided on Dr. Martin based on reviews, and are very glad we did. Weve been three times now for regular cleanings and check-ups. The hygienists, office staff and Dr. Martin himself all are competent, friendly, professional, and efficient.

Dr. Martin has been my entire family dentist for the past 5 years. He is amazing: calm, reassuring, careful.. he takes the pressure off from all that necessary dental work!We arrived at him after coming from one of his colleague who kept pushing us to get bridges and implants. We loved Dr. Martins attempts to always rescue the tooth and not to jump on those expensive procedures, when something else could still be done to last for few more years.He placed a crown on one of my tooth few years ago and I never had a problem with it since.Absolutely love him!

Very good experience! I have bad teeth since I was a kid. When I visited other dentists, I felt bad and scared. I have not seen a dentist since 2015 because of bad memory. After one and half years, this is my first time to have my teeth cleaned in Dr. Martin office. I have a really good experience. Only a few places need to be fixed. Usually, other dentists told me that I had to have 8 or 10 cavities fixed. One thing needs to be point out that dr. Martin provide fluoride for all their patients for free.

Dr Martin was my dentist for almost 10 years while I lived in Knoxville, the smile I have today is because of him and his team. Hes a total dental geek - but thats meant as such a compliment, he is one of those people who genuinely loves taking care of people and doesnt hesitate to pick up the phone at 3 in the morning if you have a problem (literally). Hell make something painful and un-fun as good as it can be. I would still be going there if I lived there. As Doc Martin would say Im too good of a guy to suffer!

I originally gave office ans personal a bad review. I was totally wrong about them. I went back today even after making a bad review and was treated with up most respect . Dr Martin went above and beyond to make sure I felt zero pain and fixed my teeth . I had not been to dentist in over five years and he got me back on track within a week to save the teeth I have left. His staff is amazing and will be going back. Thank you agian Dr Martin and everyone there you all are amazing, and truly care about your patients . If you are like me and have fear of going to dentist after many years let these people help you . I promise they will help you .

I had a toothache that had been bothering me for about 2 years and he was able to do a root canal and tooth colored crown that day, it was awesome. I brought my whole family and they all love him.

Dr. Martin accepted a personal call from me on Sunday evening Thanksgiving weekend, when I had severe, throbbing pain radiating along my right jaw up into the TMJ and down my neck. Thinking I may have an abscess, I called the office of my own dentist the day before since he had just completed a crown on a molar in my right jaw. I got voice mail and no emergency # to call so I left a detailed msg. A call came in on my cell phone 10 hours later as “unknown number”, but I do not answer those. And the caller left no voice mail.Sunday morning, another call came in from an “unknown number”. On a hunch, I answered and it turned out to be my dentist. I was incredulous that he would block his personal number! Even though I left a very detailed msg, his first words were, “I don’t know what’s going on.” I begged for help managing the pain, but he gave no meaningful advice and showed no concern at all. That’s when began looking for another dentist.I read mostly positive Google reviews for Dr. Martin. But I also read a one star review from a disgruntled parent. That review convinced me to try to reach Dr. Martin because he responded to it with compassion and gave the writer his home phone #, inviting him to call! Imagine posting his home # on the internet for all to see. That’s my kind of dentist!I asked the Lord to go before my call, have Dr. Martin be at home and willing to speak with a total stranger. He answered on the third ring! He listened then said I needed a different antibiotic. He told me the name, dose, and quantity to request from my own dentist the next morning. Then to manage the pain, he recommended a staggered regimen of 1 Aleve, followed 4 hours later by 2 extra strength Tylenol, then 4 hours later 1 Aleve, then 4 hours later 2 extra strength Tylenol, etc. He said he would speak to his receptionist in the morning and have her call me to arrange an appointment for Wednesday at his Crossville office. He said to take my current antibiotic along with the new one for 24 hours so I would not be without help while the second antibiotic was taking effect. We spoke for 22 minutes and HE ACTUALLY CARED!During the Wednesday appointment, Dr. Martin determined the exam and x-rays were inconclusive with no evidence of an abscess. But because my upper teeth were hitting the new crown on the bottom right when I was chewing on the left side, he reduced that crown to try to eliminate the contact. He said his best guess was that it may have caused the pain since the nerve below the crowned tooth was being irritated. I was so disappointed to leave without a diagnosis that I began to cry.When I stopped at the front desk to pay my bill, the receptionist said there would be no charge. I thought I heard wrong and asked her to repeat it. She said that because he felt he had not helped me, there would be no charge. I was astounded at such unexpected kindness. Then Dr. Martin walked by, patted my shoulder, and said he would be praying for me!Within 36 hours, the pain began to subside. A couple of days later, I returned for a second appointment because that crowned tooth was still too high. He reduced it further, and I thanked him for taking me in again so quickly. I told the receptionist I wanted to pay not only this bill, but the bill for my first visit as well, since Dr. Martin’s “best guess” had turned out to be correct. But once more, I was told there would be no charge! Dr. Martin walked up behind me and said, “Just write a Google review instead.” That’s what I call Amazing Grace!A few days later, I Googled “neuralgia” and discovered I had nearly ALL the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia. It took 5 weeks for the pain to resolve. I was very grateful because the article said sometimes that nerve does NOT recover. I praise God for His mercy and Dr. Martin’s compassion and skill. The Lord made him something very special indeed!

If you have a small child, stay away from this guy. Anthony Martin refused services to my 5 year old today. He missed school and I missed work only to be turned away at our appointment. My son needed a cap replaced on a tooth. He was nervous and sobbing in the chair. He sat perfectly still and complied with Anthonys instructions. We were told by Anthony that he would not treat him because if he gave my son a shot, my son would become unruly and need to be restrained. I have reported the incident to both our families insurance and the Tennessee Insurance Commissioner. Because my son is covered under the American Disabilities Act, the State has already offered to provide legal counsel and pursue the matter at no charge. Not sure I want to waste any more time on this guy though. Now my son has to wait, in pain, for 12 more days until another dentist has availability. So much for hippocratic oaths. Buyer beware!

Beware of billing! I switched to this dentist because they were close to my house. At my first visit I made it clear to ask the receptionist which I think was their office manager from what I gathered later that my insurance would cover the cleaning and x-rays and that I would not be charged for anything that visit. I wanted to make sure since this was a new dentist for me. She said yes there would be no charge. My insurance is very good through the state BCBS and I have never been charged in all of the years I have gone for x-rays and cleaning to different dentists.Well come one month later I am sent a bill for $53 for additional bitewings that were not covered under the insurance. I disputed the charge with the office manager via telephone and email. They took no responsibility for their actions and did not remove the wrongful charge. I have email correspondence I can paste in but this has taken way too much of my time already. I can more than afford to pay for their charge but it is the principal that counts. If you tell a patient there will be no additional charge for their visit then stick to that. Do your homework by checking with the insurance you are presented from your client. Every other dentist I have been to has called about my insurance benefits and I have NEVER been charged for x-rays during a routine cleaning visit. Of course they said it was my fault that I did not check with my insurance. I would have checked in a heartbeat if they did not already tell me that everything was covered. Also if I did check as I should have according to them, how would I know which x-rays they were doing that day. Its not like they told me! Apparently they did alot! I would like to warn people as they may be doing this to others, I guess you have to pay for the nice office somehow.I can not attest as to the dentists skills as I just got a cleaning but I can attest to the operations of the front office. Very very disappointing!
