Ive been going here for my hair styling for a few months. I really enjoy the people. I had an ombre dye and basic styling done last time.

I can honestly say that this is my new favorite go to salon. I went to Cindy for the first time a few months ago and just went back today for a bang trim. I am being 100% serious when I say that when I went to Cindy initially, it was the first time I have ever left a salon completely satisfied and in love with my hair- I told her exactly what I wanted and she went above and beyond. Not only is she damn good at cutting hair but she also has a very fun personality and always makes you feel welcome. The salon also has a very fun vibe and Bean (the shop dog) is the sweetest thing I’ve ever met and is always eager for scratches and belly rubs. Highly recommend!

Cindy is the Queen of all things style and hair. Shes keen on fashion colors and pickier than I am with how it looks! If she doesnt like it but you do, shell leave it but if she really doesnt like it and knows she can do better shell tweak it until its right in her eyes. You will never leave her chair looking anything short of fabulous!

I honestly cannot recommend the Chop Shop more. I have never had a bad experience here. Amanda always does such a fantastic job making me feel great about myself and my hair!! The atmosphere is super laid back and relaxing, and its really just the best. As long as I live in Knoxville, Ill be getting my hair done here.

Didn’t even get to try it out. Just sad. My 11 year old was with me and needless to say, not vaccinated so was not going to be able to do anything but sit in the car. None of that was said when booked and I reviewed their website so ? Had to pay a $25 cancellation fee because I refuse to have him sit in the vehicle during a heat wave! Did NOT have a problem with him wearing one but didn’t have any in my car and they had none to give him. Legit suggested I go buy one (I already have 100 at home) and it’s just ridiculous. I am not unreasonable. I totally get it. I just need to know these things when I make the appointment. Guess I’ll just continue to drive an hour for $120 highlights. Really really disappointed.

With the pandemic and being new to TN, I had gone without a haircut for a year. I told Cindy what I thought I wanted and she went to work. She gave me a perfect cut! Two weeks later, I still love my cut. And I’m getting compliments from people I don’t even know. Can’t say enough about how great it feels to have a wonderful haircut on the first visit with Cindy! Ive wanted to visit this salon for years, but due to a busy graduate school schedule, Ive had to wait. Let me tell you, it was SO worth it! The shop itself is so beautiful and unique. The staff is incredibly welcoming. Let me tell you, Cindylou works magic!! I approached her with the goal of having a new, fresh style to change up my typical cut. Wonderful atmosphere, great haircut! Our stylist was incredibly gentle and patient and talented, considering that he had to cut the hair of a wriggly 6 year old, and it looks amazing. Definitely coming back here. Lovely lovely lovely!!

My son and I went in for haircuts today and had wonderful experiences. Tim cut my sons hair perfectly and Amanda did an amazing job on mine. Both were super nice, as was the beautiful lady at the front desk. Also, they were making sure everyone stays safe and healthy by wearing their masks properly and making sure that customers did as well. We will definitely be back!

It was a nice salon with nice staff, and I got a great haircut. If you want balayage, this is NOT the place. I would recommend the haircut, but not the color. Streaky and not what was asked for. They were nice enough to refund the color charge, but I’ve got to go somewhere else to fix it, and I can’t get back the two appointments I spent here.

If you have hair youll probably need a haircut at least a few times each year. Ive never been a fan of getting one until I tried Chop Shop. Every time I leave there I feel rejuvenated. From the scalp massage and hair wash prior to the cut to the individual service and attention given to each client, you have no choice but to leave in a better mood, and looking great too. You wont find a better cut or place to get one than this.

She has incredible talent, creativity and an obvious passion for making clients feel and look their best. I make a 2-hour trek to Knoxville to see her at the Chop Shop after a friend referred me.Cindy Lou has created a welcoming, energetic atmosphere in the Chop Shop, and I love the style and magic she makes with hair! Scheduling is easy and everyone is friendly—especially the loving shop pups. Highly recommend!

Went in for a style, requested a loose wave with the straight iron. Girl was nice to allow appointment despite late arrival due to emergency. Same employee styled... a quick fuzzy curl job that went as predicted-fell out within an hour. 27 dollars and afterward I am notified its the same despite no shampoo. Wont revisit.

Cindy Lou has cut and colored my hair for at least 15 years. I get many compliments for my hair even though I spend very little time on it between my visits to the salon. As I change, so does my hair but I always feel true to myself. I completely trust her with the ability to always cut it in the most favorable way to bring out my good features. I love the attention and creativity with which she chooses the colors that compliment me and keep me from getting bored with myself.The profile pic does not show me in my current super cute look.

Cindy Loo is amazing! She somehow finds just the right cut for my hair and for the next several months, I do nothing but towel dry, and my hair is exactly the way I dream it could look. Along with providing a top-notch haircut, she always educates me on various aspects of caring for hair, how it grows, how it ages, how it manages color, how it handles various products & ingredients, and more. She has a wealth of knowledge and always treats me so well without ever trying to push me to buy a product or change my color. She also gives my children dynamite haircuts - and they can hardly sit still. WE LOVE Tara & CHOP SHOP!! All of the stylists who have helped us have been wonderful.

This salon is so fun. Lily is awesome and did a great job with my cut. My hair is fine and has a lot of cowlicks. Lily somehow cut my typically tricky hair like shed been doing it for years and styled it the way I do myself(this never happens at a salon). I will defintely be back!

Love the environment! The people are great, the music is nice. I feel welcomed everytime I walk in. I like the music that plays sometimes. Like youre not sure what youre gonna get. Ive heard stuff from 80s pop, to experimental rock, to even country. This is my preferred place to get a hair cut and have been going here for years.

Tim and crew give GREAT haircuts. Decor is awesome and they are always playing great music. Owners Bassett hound hangs out and is adorable, plus theyll serve you some drinks while youre getting your hair done! Everyone Ive encountered here has been top notch! Best salon in Knoxville. Whenever Im back in Knoxville visiting my family, I will ONLY go to Chop Shop. Theyre incredibly talented, and amazing people too. Having great hair after leaving Chop Shop is guaranteed. They know what theyre doing, and have mastered it all. Theyve also always been incredibly accommodating if Ive needed an appointment last minute or a something different.For example, I tore my ACL this past year and was on crutches. I couldnt wash my own hair at all so Chop Shop did it for me. Helping me get into their shop, putting my leg up on a stand so I wouldnt be uncomfortable, checking on me to make sure I was okay- they went the extra mile for me, and they made my day-if not month- by not only helping me, but giving me a badass hair day.Ive gone back to them time and time again since, and Ive had experience with almost all of the stylists there, and they all are nothing but spectacular. Ill never not go to Chop Shop when I come back to visit. Only drawback is that theyre not in my state!

Read this review if you mind literacy. I go here for the friendliness and expertise of the staff. From walking in the front door to the goo that goes in my hair at the end, everyone takes time and consideration with me - and above all - makes me feel and look great. Which is saying a lot, considering what I have to work with.Go here if you enjoy good people and having great looks. The music is pretty good too. Getting a hot cup of coffee on my visit also rocks.Also, to the negative reviewers - lighten up. If you were in a line of work that required being beautiful, youd have your own personal staff and wouldnt be slumming it with Google reviews.

I have been to this salon twice now. The ambiance and the style of this studio is awesome; it is very relaxing and comfortable! Amanda has been my stylist both times and has been very professional and accommodating! They offer services including eyebrow waxing, hair dying, and the simple hair cut.I have been happy with my experience here and recommend this salon!

Such a cute and fun salon. Amanda did my hair and while I never get haircuts that are too risky, she did a fantastic job and was so affordable. Its getting harder and harder to find that in Knoxville. Additional bonuses include booze on tap, a super sweet basset hound named Bean, and a complimentary scalp massage.

Always returning here for my cut! Get a drink and play music which you wait. I see Amanda, who is kind and has high quality tools which make the job quick and precise! If you have a date or just want to look sharp, call ahead. They have good hours, but a walk in appointment might not be possible.

I have been going to Cindy at Chop Shop since April and have had a somewhat positive experience every time until yesterday. I love the haircuts, but her customer service is lacking, at best. I had a 4:15 appointment and arrived on time. Forty-five minutes later, I was still waiting with out being acknowledged. The attitude and communication were both poor and decided to leave and go elsewhere.Since my review, Cindy has been very diligent in getting in touch with me and very apologetic. I have an appointment with her next week. Thank you , Cindy.Cindy Lou makes sure I look and feel fantastic every time. Shes an amazing stylist and person.

I learned about Chop Shop from a girl at the Mac makeup counter at West Town. I had Tim to color & trim my hair never a problem. I changed to Tara because Tim was unavailable . She colored my hair for the 2nd time & my roots were brown / ends red! I went back the next day for it to be fixed. I was there from 10 a-2 pm. She bleached my hair to a color of red that was scary. She asked if I minded bleach, which I did not mind , if it did not damage my hair or the color red I asked for was reached. My scalp burned tremendous . I told her my scalp was burning, in which she said I see no redness . My whole scalp literally peeled! I have not been there since no will I. This also cost me near 300$ between the 2 visits. I do not think that I should have paid anything for the follow up visit. It was not at all what I wanted. I had to pay again for the correction that ended terribly as well!

I have been going to the Chop Shop for over three years. I am always greeted by name when I walk in. Cindy and the staff have cultivated an environment where everyone feels welcomed and are treated as if they have been invited into a home rather than a salon. Cindy has always made sure I am happy with my hair before I leave and makes sure my hair is blown out, even if Im going straight home. The high level of quality at the Chop Shop is incomparable.

I went in for a trim, and was pretty specific about exactly how much I wanted off. Needless to say, I was told by a stylist how she was going to cut my hair (with seemingly no consideration for what I told her) and she ended up cutting much more off than I ever wanted. At the time, I was too shocked to say much, so I ended up just sitting there while she did her thing. I regret that so much. My long, nearly waist-length hair is above my elbows now, and I can still barely look at it without getting really sad. I feel like a stylists first priority should be fulfilling what a client asks for, not simply doing whatever you feel like doing. Itll take my hair months to feel normal again, so I wont be going back...ever.

Very down to earth hair salon, that will make your hair gorgeous. Finding a new hair salon is always nerve racking, but this place you can feel confident in. The hound dog, tea, and/or beer are all wonderful touches too.

I decided after reading the reviews to try it out!! I was greeted with a smiling face! My wait to get to the chair wasnt long at all! Amanda cut my hair (AMAZING)!!! I would highly recommend this place to ANYONE!! I gave it 5 stars because its a 5 star place!! I will be returning on a regular basis!!!

Does what it says on the box; am absolutely happy with my refreshed do (dye and cut) and eyebrows (tint and shaping). Cindylou & Co. took a lot of time and care to make me look and feel good. I even was allowed on stage. Sadly, I dont live in Knoxville, but am only passing through. If I lived in Knoxville, this would be my go-to salon. You rock, gals and dudes!

Kaylee Marie Dyer walked in to my shop ask to leave her car parked here to go to a tour of daycare next door. They was heavy equipment at the time blocking entrance which was loaded and moved quickly. I told her no .. She has placed negative reviews for revenge on my facebook and google. Extremely unprofessional behavior and simply sad to try and destroy someone for revenge. Just insight on her character . I have received no service from Chop Shop I am rating her integrity
