Moved to Kansas City a months ago and was badly in need of a haircut. Im always super nervous about letting someone new touch my hair. On top of that my friends had spent the better part of a morning convincing me to get bangs. I made an appointment with Emily and she was fantastic! Much like everyone else here, she was extremely friendly. I let her take a few inches off my hair and give me some shaggy eyebrow length bangs. She even styled it in some beach waves for me. I left the salon feeling so good about the way my hair looked. It was a bonus coming home to my boyfriends jaw dropping at the new bangs.

Salon Ado is incredible! Jess has always done exceptional work to my hair with color and style. Huge bonus is she is super easy to talk with but will also respect your space if you dont feel like chatting. Sad I am moving away from KC and have to find a new stylist. Would recommend her and any of the stylists that work there!

The space is so great, and Emily did an amazing job with my hair. She looked at what I wanted, and then talked me through any adjustments she suggested based on my hair and the way it naturally lays. With her adjustments I got the best bangs cut Ive ever had! Very glad I tried Salon Ado out.

A wonderful hair salon with kind employees. I first came to salon ado after gettig highlights from a prior hair salon that I was not pleased with. They fixed my highlights and left me coming back to them from that point on!

I have been to Salon Ado twice and visited different stylists each time. Both times they did exactly what I asked for, if not a better job than I imagined. I have seen Caitlyn and Emily. This is the only salon is Kansas City I have returned to after my first appointment. Not only was my hair cut and color (both times) high quality, but the atmosphere is great too. All the stylists are kind and talkative, and the inside is always decorated chic and beautiful.I moved to Kansas City from Chicago area a few years ago, and since I moved to KC, I have had the hardest time finding a good salon that I ended up just setting my hair appointments solely at my salon at Chicago whenever I traveled to visit family. I am very happy I found salon Ado and will no longer have to travel far for a hair appointment! Highly recommend!

The girl I had an appointment with said she was running late so another stylist took over. Nobody apologized or acknowledged it. The service was overpriced for the mediocre result. Also, the owner walks around and doesnt acknowledge clients at all. Just unpleasant vibes. Id skip this one if I were you.

Not the business that I disliked as much as my stylist that disappointed me! When you work in a business like this, you need to love your job and people ! A lot of money for a lousy cut and color. Will not return.

I have been to this salon twice and used two different stylists. Both times I left extremely disappointed because I felt as if they did not listen to my instructions. I showed pictures and discussed the styles I wanted; however, they always cut it too short. I will not be returning.

They are very nice and dont charge too much.Edit: (1year later) I still go here to get my blonde roots done, and seriously Kaitlyn is a miracle worker. My hair is normally extremely oily and dirty blonde. She brightens it up with highlights, and my hair doesnt get super oily again for at least 2 weeks. It looks nice, natural, and professional. I go in every 4 months for a full highlight. I should get a partial highlight every two months between full highlights, but I forget.

This place is seriously great. Free drinks during the haircut! And the only name you need to remember is JESS VAN HOUTEN.

I have been here multiple times and have always loved it. Unfortunately my last visit a few months ago is the last time Ill go. My salon stylist was obviously over booked and told me she was pushing through my hair with the color and lightener because my hair is thick. It was very rushed and I left with dry hair and a bald spot. I went to my dr. And another salon to confirm chemical burns. They offered a free deep conditioner but I would rather go to another salon that I trust at this point. If youre over booked and stressed just cancel the clients appt please it isnt worth it!
