Im not sure how the staff are overall but my experience with the scheduling staff was not the best. They were very rude and hung up on me. My doctor sent over the referral over two weeks ago and I still had not heard from them. My doctor called them as well and experienced the same treatment. My doctor apologized to me for this facilities behavior and scheduled me with another facility. I called Vidant back to let them know I would not be using their services and asked that they removed me from their list of potential patients. They did not answer so I left a voicemail. Im hoping this was just a bad day for the scheduling staff but it made me uneasy and not want to be seen by them.

My experience with Vidant Medical Center in Jacksonville has been exceptional. I have never had a problem getting through to them on the phone. The staff have always been kind and courteous. The nurses are out of this world caring and attentive. My doctor is Dr. Brooks. He actually listens and takes the time to determine all that could be going on and is truly dedicated to helping his patients. I have had terrible experiences at another medical center (Wilmington Health) that cost me in time, money, and mobility while they jerked me around. I am very happy to finally find a group of people dedicated to and knowledgeable enough to actually resolve medical issues.

I saw all of these poor reviews about the lack of attendance to the phones so I also attempted to call and did not reach anyone. I left a voicemail saying that I am capable and able to answer phone calls if they are looking to hire. The receptionist did call me back with a rather salty attitude and informed me that the other 2 receptionist have been in the hospital and that she is the receptionists and they are not hiring. I got a good giggle out of how offended she would be that I would offer help to this buisness before it starts suffering from lack of attention at the desk

Dr. AllGood is wonderful and he takes his time with you. The problem with this practice is the office staff who never answer the phone and sit around gabbing all day. Its nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone to make an appointment! Answer the darn phone!

Called multiple times to make an appointment. No one ever answered. Drove over to speak to someone in person & 5 staff members were hanging out chit-chatting. Not a single person was even in the waiting room for them to attend to. I let them know no one was answering the phone & they were very dismissive & clearly didn’t care. Tried to make an initial visit appointment from moving back from overseas & nothing is available for at least 2 months. Immediately went downstairs & changed my PCM to Dr. Frank Lovato who was wonderful to us!!!

I can never get them on the phone! I needed a new script and called them no less than 15 times over 6 weeks and left voicemails. Never got a response. Every time I have called the call goes to voicemail. I finally went in and the WHOLE staff was at a “staff meeting.” I come from a medical family, you always have someone at the desk. Thankfully my life wasn’t dependent on this medication, I can’t even imagine what happens for people who depend on their medication. Seriously Vidant do better.

Makes no difference what my ailment is, Dr. Griffin jumps in feet first. In January 2017, I finally went to see her. Her nurse saw me first, and he brought Doc in. Took a matter of minutes, and I was on my wait for a scan. Next thing I knew, Doctor Griffins initial diagnosis was proven right. I had a blood clot. She started an immediate treatment plan. Took a few weeks, but the clot was dissolved. And, not only that, she went over my daily routine. She came to the conclusion that my morning routine...sitting with my feet dangling...was the likely culprit. I learned a lot, and modified my routine.Good call, Doc!!!!Vidant and Doctor Griffin are NOT the Doc in a Box operation.

I really appreciate the care I have received from this place. Dr Allgood is teriffic and very caring. The only problem I have with the office is nobody ever answers the phone. I have been trying to call for the last 20 mins or so and its always answered by a machine. It was the same when I tried to call on Friday about 5 pm. I have recently been diagnosed with COPD and I am trying to coordinate with my insurance provider to help find me an inhaler that will not cost more than my rent each month. I am so stressed out and depressed at this point. I just wish they would answer the phone.

The Best Friendly staff & Professional Dr.in Jacksonville,N.C.,I have seenMANY Drs here but NOT as caring & concerned as Vidant Family Medicine Staff & Dr. Griffin. You will love this Dr. & her knowledgeable staff !!!!! They are totally concerned about your well being !!!!!!!I have had my blood drawn many, many, times at this office, nurse has never missed a vein, I tell them I am a hard stick as veins look good, but disappear, they use a butterfly needle, which is much smaller, if your dehydrated, by not drinking enough water, fluids, it is going to be hard to draw your blood.I found this out at the local hospital here.I have never had problems with LabCorp either !!!!! Wait time is usually about 15 minutes, NEVER had to wait an hour or more at this office.Once taken back ,the Dr. comes in and not just hears your health concern, but LISTENS & takes her time to get to the bottom of the problem.I have had more test run there than ANY DR. in Jacksonville has ever thought of running, have had problems that only Dr.Griffin has opted to check for, THIS Dr. & STAFF , I AM GRATEFUL FOR !!!!!!!!!

Whats the point of having the doctors office if you are not going to answer the phone? I have tried to call for the past 30 minutes. No one has answered the phone..... this is at 1:30 pm on a Thursday. Not a holiday either. I would not want a doctor that doesnt like to answer the phone :(

Waiting time about 15 minutes and once in the room the assistant goes thru your profile and the reason for your visit then within 5 minutes Mr Allgood PA comes inAnd always very polite, knowledgeable and helps my wife and I with our medicalIssues. He always does everything he tells you. There are not many Doctors that gets you in and out that fast and covers everything you went there for. Everyone inthere helps you with shots, blood work and gets your medicine set up to be filled.

Be very careful if you go in for scheduled blood work and the nurse is not able to get a vein right away - theyll send you over to LabCorp and then surprise, you will receive a nice bill in the mail. When you bring the bill to Vidant out of confusion, theyll instruct you to contact your insurance company. When you call your insurance company, they will tell you that LabCorp is an out-patient lab and does not participate in your insurance plan. They suggest you call your doctors office. When you do, they say, Sorry...not our bill and pass the buck to LabCorp (even though the only reason you went to LabCorp was because the nurse at Vidant sent you there!) Great customer service right there!
