My wife got her eyes done and was able to see very clear that night. It was a life changing experience for her and I just have to mention that the staffs were awesome. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get rid of their glasses.

I had Lasik performed on both of my eyes at Maida Custom Eye Specialists yesterday and today my vision is 20/15 (better than 20/20)!! Not only am I amazed by the improvement in my eyesight (I’ve been in glasses since I was 6 years old), I’m also amazed by all of the staff at this facility. This is the best place to get Lasik surgery. The staff and doctors are very nice and they take really good care of me before and after. My eyes felt a little painful right after the surgery but felt great after a good nap. I dont have any discomfort at all which is amazing. I’m POD 5 from lasik and I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about this place. The office staff are all fantastic! The doctors are great too. I would have felt comfortable with any of them doing my procedure. Could you find somewhere cheaper? Yea, probably but I think this is one of those times where you get what you pay for! Fantastic experience all around.

My only regret is not taking care of this sooner! I have been in glasses since 1st grade and contacts since 5th grade. I am now 37. I was fearful of the fact of being awake during the procedure and any pain during or after the procedure. Truth be told, the staff is top notch and all anxieties were left at the door! As for pain, I felt absolutely none day of and the only discomfort felt after was the annoyance of a dry contact to put that into context of how minimal it was. I have wore glasses all my life and was told i should think about lassik when i turned 25. Well I’m one day post op and its amazing. When i walked into the office for the consultation and Terri said “we don’t do the puff of air test here” I was sold. I was nervous day of surgery but the fact that there were patients ahead of me and they seemed fine and happy made me not as nervous, Rebecca and DeDe told me nothing sharp or stabby would touch me just pressure and honestly you really didn’t have time to think about anything. It was just a bunch of lights and it was over. The doctors are great and made you feel relaxed and all the ladies there were so caring to my mom and I. 10/10 would do it again.

Im one day post-operative and couldnt be happier with my results. I tested at 20/15 in both eyes 24 hours after lasik treatment. Zero issues during or post-surgery. Zero pain or discomfort at any point.I chose Maida/Florida over their main competitor in Jacksonville because of their attention to detail on the front end. For example, both doctors suggested I consider mono-vision, but only Maida/Florida fitted me with custom contact lenses to simulate mono-vision lasik to confirm that it was what I wanted. I hated it. Had I gone with the competition I would have been stuck with something I hated; Maida/Florida let me experience it for real (on a trial basis), and when I didnt like it, they took the time to show me alternatives - which I absolutely loved!Additionally, the competition was ready to do surgery on the day I first met with them, even offering a bigger discount if I didn it right then. Maida/Florida would not consider surgery for at least a week after initial eval, because they have a week-long protocol of drops and supplements to condition the eyes for a better result.The office staff is professional and courteous and exudes competence on every level. Their promises are reserved, and theres zero hyperbole. I would best characterize them as people who under promise and over deliver. I would not for a second hesitate to recommend them to anyone.Lastly, a few years ago my wife had lasik at the other place. Immediately upon the completion of my work at Maida/Florida she said I really wish Id had mine done here. Even if it costs more. Its completely different.

Great doctors and friendly staff! I wore glasses for almost 20 years, and not reaching over for them when I wake up every morning is simply incredible. I got a consultation and was able to schedule my procedure quickly without much wait which was nice. They do surgery on Thursdays and have two doctors that perform the procedures, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.Dr. Hasan performed my procedure. I didnt know what to expect but the doctor and nurse talked me through the process the entire time. This really calmed my nerves and they had me out the door in no time! I guess this qualifies as bedside manner, but whatever you want to call it, they were amazing and made me comfortable which I really appreciated. Really the whole staff is amazing here, everyone is very kind/polite and answer all your questions.My vision is now great with no glasses necessary! The divot in the side of my head from my glasses is even starting to go away :P

Cant believe I walked in and couldnt see the big E on the eye chart and next day could read the 20/20 line. Couldnt imagine a better group of Doctors and staff. Highly recommend.

Maida CustomVision is without a doubt the place to go to for laser eye surgery! I’ve never been more nervous going into a procedure and they immediately calmed me down and took care of me. They were all very gentle during the procedure and I felt no discomfort during or after it was over. I went home, took a nap and woke up with 20/15 vision. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to have perfect vision!! They’re the place to go!

The process was so smooth! I finally was convinced by my husband to go get my free consultation. Our neighbor had her LASIK done by Dr. Maida over 10 years ago and highly recommended Maida CustomVision. The consult is extensive (2 hours) but thorough. They were up front about pricing and fortunately, based on my vision insurance, I was also offered a discount. I had the opportunity to schedule right then but I wanted to take home the information and digest it first. Day of surgery came, easy squeezy. I was told about 90 minutes total in the office and they stayed true to that time frame. Surgery itself was 10 minutes tops. Dr. Hasan was awesome; he was very reassuring before, during and after the procedure. He uses talk-esthesia along with actual anesthetic drops. Post surgical day #1 you are seen just to check everything out and make sure you are healing correctly, no big deal. I am 1 week postop and couldnt be happier. Ive been in glasses for 35 years and Im glad to offload them finally. Staff is very nice and answer all your questions. Highly recommend Maida!!
