Since moving to this area I have gone here twice for my yearly eye appointment. Each time it has taken a long time for my contacts to come iln. This time it took 3 weeks to get my trial pair, and I am going on 6 weeks for my actual contacts.I have called to ask what is going on and they claim their office manager had called the supplier to see what the hold up was but basically they dont know.This will be my last time utilizing this office. I have never had this much trouble before. Its inconvenient to have to wear my glasses everyday, I would like to wear the contacts I have paid for.

Dr. McDowell is always pleasant and ready to discuss any questions we have and his staff have always been very nice and helpful!

I was completely satisfied with the eye exams followed by the services provided for choosing and fitting new frames. I would highly recommend the IEC store in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Dr. McDowell is a great Dr. He listens and asks questions and does not suggest things you dont need. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always go in for an appointment and get right out. Very happy with my experiences here.

Been going here for several years, 20+ . Have been to a few other offices / doctors during that time as well. This is my preferred location due to staff and doctors obtaining the best results for eye issues and health.

Fast and professional. Taking great COVID-19 precautions. They really listened to my needs. I finally have eyeglasses I can use for general distance as well as computer work.

Wonderful experience. Dr. McDowell was able to pinpoint an issue I had with my eye and got me into see a retina specialist ASAP. He truly cares about his patients.

Great selection in glasses super fast when ordering glasses they usually say 1-2 weeks we got our new glasses in 6 days but they are expensive

I wouldnt recommend recommend this eyes care center to anyone from experiences I had with this eyes care center..staff are unprofessional & pushy..first contact I made, staff pulled out my wife record instead of mine..that then provided me with wrong time for the appt. causing me to be late for the appt...today when I came in for appt. staff was pushy tried to put me in for all kind of eyes exams that I dont need..I just came in for basic eyes exam to be certain that my eyes sight is updated for new glasses..during the session new staff didnt seem to know what she was doing and eye exam instrument is out of date..

IEC is a great practice with a wonderful staff and caring doctors. Its conveniently located. And, theyve taken care of all of my eye-care needs for over ten years, including my husbands and two daughters needs.

The doctors are nice but some of the sales staff can be a bit pushy. I would recommend this place if you need to see an eye doctor to refill your prescription every year.

Very rude customer service. Charged an exorbitant amount of money for lenses and frames. Will NOT be returning.

Complete and total disappoint!!! My daughter is due for an eye exam and lost her glasses and just because my child is on Medicaid IEC cant get her in for an appointment until mid June, but if I pay cash they can see her Monday! Mind you this is not pocket change they want either $80 for an exam and the frames they have on special start at $70. I work a full time job, I pay taxes, I pay Union dues, I have bills. No I dont have a menial job I take care of your parents, and your grandparents. I make sure they get to the doctor, I make sure they have food on the table, and that they are happy, healthy, and clean.if truth be told, I probably spend more time with your parents and grandparents then you do. So no I am not a leech of the system before anyone goes getting all upset by my gripe! This isnt right, my daughter is being discriminated against just because I cant afford to just drop an unexpected $200 or more!!! Ive been to your website IEC Ive read your mission statement, and Ive came to the conclusion that you honestly only care about money not people. I wouldnt recommend you to my dog and I want to say thank you for hindering my daughters learning and academic progress!!! I so deeply appreciate it and Im sure she does as well. I would rate your business with 0 stars if possible
