I have known Dr Carvell for 20 years. After getting divorce my insurance change so I couldnt go back with her. Never found a Doctor that cares like she does. She takes the time to listen. She cares for you as a person and as a patient. I was able to come back. I had to wait to get an appointment, but it is totally worth it.

I cant speak to the actual care but, from the reviews, one might expect excellent care if one can actually get an appointment. I called before all the COVID closings happened and the appointment was for a month out. Then, COVID... so appointment was cancelled. Called again today and the wait, once again, is over a month out. Thats just too long to wait for a vision appointment, so Im looking around for another alternative.

Had a great experience with Dr. L. He always takes his time to explain everything thoroughly, and is willing to work with children. I really appreciate them squeezing my daughter in with my appointment so that I didn’t have to return later in the day. Also love that they don’t pressure you to buy glasses or contacts with them like most optometrists do.

Absolutely fantastic staff, Dr. L is very kind and thorough, and their proces are reasonable. Definitely very happy.

I have been to both doctors there and they are both wonderful. They take time to talk to you and explain what is going on with your eyes. They are both so intelligent and well trained. I found the office staff to be well trained and helpful too. You cant go wrong by making this your place for eye care and eye wear. BTW, I have both contacts and glasses and am happy with both.

Really clean and nice office. My only disappointment was the following:I had originally called to make an appointment with Dr. Carvell specifically. Was told I had to wait until the following week as she was booked until then. Completely understandable and gives me enough time to find a sitter for my newborn. Once I arrive to the appointment, Im told Ill be seeing Dr. L. I advised them I specifically requested Dr. Carvell and they had no idea that I requested her and offered me to reschedule for another day instead. I was a little disappointed as I rearranged my schedule and was really hoping to see Dr. Carvell. I ended up staying and saw Dr. L. He was really kind and answered my questions thoroughly.

Dr. L is great, honestly the whole staff is! Always helpful and the appointments are quick. All around great office.

I love Dr Carvell and all of her associates!!! Mercedes made me tear up today when she gave me accolades at how well I handle my son with special needs. Her words meant the WORLD to me!!! Thank you for being so accepting of people who are a little “different”!! 😁🙏

Excellent choice! Dr. Lampedecchio and his staff were most helpful in switching my glasses from progressive to office lens. Am stoked about being able to see the computer way better, and my sheet music when I play the keyboard, both of which have become blurry lately. :) And not to mention Tammy, who always helps me find just the perfect pair of frames! This office is awesome!

My family started going to Dr. Carvell in 1987. We love the attention to detail that she and her staff provide. She always takes the time to listen and ask questions pertinent to our eye health. She will take the time to discuss your options between bifocals, types of lenses and if contacts are a good option for you. We have been proud to call her our Doctor for 18 years!

Worst experience ever!!!! Ive been going to this office for at least 4 yrs, never had issues UNTIL YESTERDAY!! After checking out and asking the front desk rep, Liz if I was all set, she says yes and I leave. Minutes later I get a voicemail stating You left here without paying! I immediately called back and was told, yes you owe $90. I specifically told Alisha Liz said I was good to go... I was then told oh, she shouldve handed you off to someone else for payment. So, I pay over the phone.... more than the quoted amount of $60. I will get my contact prescription and find another Dr!!! Really disappointed in the staff.

I am a dentist and obviously my vision is paramount but no less of importance then my wifes. We are delighted with our care.

I called before opening hours with an emergency and was able to talk to Dr. Carvell directly on her cell phone. She had her staff fit me into an opening right when they opened and the doctor gave me a thorough examination, and even gave me a break on the cost as I was a previous patient and a veteran who lacked a current vision insurance plan. I was referred to a specialist but her diagnosis was spot on. Kudos to the staff for going above and beyond what most any other optometrist or business would have done for me! Good Karma and Dr. Carvell go hand in hand!

Love this practice. We travel from the southside of Jacksonville just for Dr. Carvell and her wonderful staff. They treat us like we are the only ones in the office the entire time we are there. Dr. Carvell is wonderful with the children and loves to explain what she is doing during each step of the process. This is very helpful to our youngest who is very nervous with all of the machines in the office! I have worn glasses/contacts since 5 years old, a total of 30 years and this is the BEST eye doctor I have ever encountered.

I had a great experience getting my eyes examined here at Dr. Carvell & Associates. There was little wait time, professional and good humored staff made me feel at ease. They even explained my insurance benefits to me which gets me so frustrated, but it made sense as they beat throught the bushes and made it crystal clear for me. What a great experience !! I hope everyone goes here for their vision needs!!

I was new to contacts and was a little scared, the staff here is amazing. So friendly and helpful, so welcoming. I came in so nervous and left knowing everything I should. One thing in have to say what won me over was, that my contact lens was messing up and I called and she said oh please come in today, she was more then happy to help. It made me feel so great, and we got it all figured out and I could not be more happier. You ladies are amazing😊

Both my Parents have been going to Dr. Carvell for years and still do. So when I was having a little trouble reading small print, along with a family history of glaucoma, they suggested Dr. Carvell, so glad that I went. Had my eyes looked at, all I needed was some over the counter reading glasses! Best place it town to get your eyes checked. The whole staff is well trained and friendly! Still need to schedule a annual check up. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else.
