I recently moved to Jacksonville and I had no idea where to go! I was in alot of pain. I googled ER near me and it took me to the Ascension St.Vincent on Belfort! God definitely sent me in the right direction. I didnt have to wait at all. I went straight back and I seen Dr. G. Kennedy and he was amazing. I didnt feel rushed! I felt like he cared! He let me talk instead of cutting me off like most ER doctors do. I just want to thank the nurses, the administration that took my insurance and especially De.Kennedy! I wish he could be my primary doctor! God Bless You All!

Helped me into a wheelchair, back pain so bad. Everyone there was very understanding & Helpful. I’ll be back there. Maybe not too soon.. hope not..

Do NOT use this emergency room if you expect attentive or timely treatment. In the 90 minutes I waited in the lobby with increasing abdominal pain, I watched two other patients walk out because of their long waits. It’s an ER that can’t get a patient into an ER room for 90 minutes! When I finally was taken to an ER room I noted almost no staff in the halls and counted 7 empty rooms. The room I was in was filthy! Mold and dust covering the air filtration system, mold growing in a light fixture, and an earwig crawling on the floor! It’s just an ER; who needs cleanliness. Now, after 7 more hours sitting in an ER room, I have yet to see a gastroenterologist for my abdominal pain, but two doctors have recommended pulmonary tests and treatments. Apparently the medical staff here does not know a head from an a**, let alone abdominal pain from pulmonary problems. This lack of attention and care for explicit problems and ignoring a patient’s repeated, express concerns speaks volumes about the poor quality of ER services and arrogance of the providers. AND, FYI, I received no call back after responding to the “owner” response below…likely a bot. I was seen by an MD within 10 mins of admitting to Memorial Hospital ER-Mandarin and diagnosed and treated within 90 mins. St. Vincent is rolling in his grave over the pathetic patient care (lack thereof) at Southside ER!

Ascensions St. Vincents is be best in Jacksonville. I was only there two nights, but my husband in 2019 was there for 6 months. There is not one job at Saint Vincents Riverside that is not important. From Housekeeping to Food Services and the Nurses and Doctors, every member of the Ascensions staff makes you feel comfortable,warm, welcome and very well taken care of.

They showed concern about my health. Explained every detail so I understood. Dawn took so much care in all she did. Dr German was excellent and the follow up doctor left 2 messages before we got home. Instructions were given to me in writing making it clear of my follow up. I couldn’t ask for better care and service. Outstanding!!

I mean I looked at the reviews before I went and gave it a shot waiting to be seen for 5 hours after that they took blood work and said will come with results within a hour so it took them to come back with results 5 hours to say there’s nothing wrong, when there is a issue clearly… no one came to emergency room to fake it. Gave us injection and didn’t resolve the problem at all. Waiting on the bill to se how much it cost me to get no answer and waste my time at this hospital $$$. Did more testing and issue was found. But they couldn’t do NOTHING for 10 hours just charging the bill up that’s all. Think twice before going here, Should have listen to the reviews.

I have never experienced anything like the experience I received when I went to your facility on July 6 2021. From the gentleman at the front door to the lady at registration to the nurses, doctor and x-ray tech. They all treated me like I had entered a 5 star hotel. The were very respectful, treated me with dignity. Best experience I have ever had. It was like they knew I was coming and they were waiting for me. I am here in Jacksonville visiting friends and I fell and broke my arm. I was not feeling well and in a lot of pain but, when I left I felt so good. That was a good day despite my injury and pain. I wish I had a friendly place like yours in Columbia SC. Thank you so much.

Staff was phenomenal and helpful, the Dr. on duty last night was amazing(4/28 PM-4/29 AM) as were the rest of the staff. A+ team for sure, created a lovely atmosphere. Super calm, patient and efficient. Everyone was easy to work with and good at their jobs. Only downside was that the location was pretty busy, had I known in advance I would’ve booked a reservation. Still, a wonderful experience and reasonable pricing, would certainly recommend to friends and family. DEFINITELY will be coming back here for my future emergencies. 1 star lost because the ceiling vents in my room weren’t lined up with each other and that annoyed me; hire a better engineer/contractor for the next location and I’ll bump my rating up to a 5 star.

Everyone there was very nice and they answered all of the questions I had to the best of their abilities. They were very busy though and the wait time could have been a little better. However, overall it was a great experience and they helped me out a lot.

I fell at work yesterday. I came here for the first time. I was treated with the utmost care and compassion from the front desk to the back, in the imaging department, at discharge and to the the check out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has an emergency or needs immediate help with their health.I was thankful that I only had contusions from my fall. Thank you again for helping me with my emergency. I am at home, icing, resting and taking my Motrin. I should be able to go back to work tomorrow.

Sat for four hours watching everyone that came in after me get taken care of first, pretty ridiculous for having an emergency I’ll never come back here for urgent care I wouldn’t recommend anyone too unless you come in an ambulance you may get helped. Another gentleman sat with blood all over him and his head wrapped the same amount of time I did I wouldn’t of minded him being seen before me although he came after me I wasn’t in as bad condition, it’s just the fact this hospital has people in need sitting there not getting any medical treatment. Horrible service again only if your brought in by ambulance go here otherwise home remedies would cure cancer faster than these people.

I had an ultrasound on Monday. The staff, from the intake lady to those regstering me, to the staff preforming the test were friendly, talkative, knowledgable and wentabove and beyond. The hospital itself was clean minus that chemical dissinfectant smell. Two thumbs up from me.

I was seen promptly and by a series of professional, attitude positive people that explained what and why they were doing what they did. While I was nervous, I was reassured and comforted each step of the way.

The wait was long and painful but once I got a room the doctor and nurse arrived immediately and took excellent care of me. They were incredibly busy, hence the long wait, but my treatment was fantastic. Both the doctor and the nurse were very friendly and pleasant despite the crush of patients. Thank you for the wonderful care.

I was in Jacksonville, Fl visiting my daughter and was in an automobile accident. I went to St. Vincents Hospital the next day because of my pain and the staff at this hospital were PHENOMENAL! They are very friendly. caring and the wait wasnt too long. If I ever have to go to a hospital in Florida again, Ill definitely chose St. Vincents Hospital.

Let me tell you !Going to the ER is not something that anyone enjoys.I came through your ER doors with what I thought was an obstruction in my bowels. I had been in so much pain but I still put off going to the ER as long as I possibly could.Shame on me for suffering all that time.The team of doctors and nurses were freaking awesomeness! 💯Dr. Miles was on top of his game and made sure everything was followed up on. He also was awesome. He listened to me!Thanks so much for all of the wonderful care.I am on the mend thanks to St. Vincent Ascension Hospital. ♥️

My hubby took me to the ER of St Vincent Southside location yesterday afternoon due to injuries from a car accident. We were respected and helped to understand my injuries. I went home that evening with more understanding what I need to get better. We are thankful your hospital is in our neighborhood!

They Very friendly and very efficient in their duties. They made me very comfortable and kept me informed as to what was going on the whole time. Couldn’t have asked for better care and I thank them for all they did to make my time in the ER less stressful.

Their ER is very slow, nurse didn’t know what they were doing and would say something would be done in X (testing, check out, etc) time frame then not show up and we would have to call the front desk to get the item completed. It took 45 minutes to get our discharge paperwork. If you are in a serious emergency they may be great. But if your there for something that isn’t as serious you will wait in an ordinate amount of time for service and it will not be good service.

Everything was greatNot too busy thest day. Everyone seemed knowledgeable. I can only say that ER parking was not good.

Omgosh I love this hospital!!! I had covid..and let me tell you I wouldnt have gone anywhere else!! From the E.R to communication w ICU but especially all the nurses!!! On the 3rd floor!! They took such great care of me!! I was so sick and seriously could have died but praise God I was healed!!! I credit God...and NURSES...Doctors amazing!!!

Check in was easy, since I have been at St. Vincent‘s before. All the staff was very nice and attentive. My doctor was very thorough. I had to have an ultrasound done, the technician was excellent, made sure I was very comfortable each step of the procedure. My overall experience was excellent, I would definitely return again if I need to.

I waited forever to be seen by a doctor Im waiting in the waiting room for like five hours but once I got to the bike everything went faster the nurses were very nice the doctor came in and explain everything I needed to know so I rate my experience or three would have gave a 5 if didnt have to wait so long

Staff friendly and attentive. Greeted and checked in right away. On to Xray and then to treatment (leg splint) for my 12 yoa. Consult instructions given were clear and easy to arrange follow up with specialist the next day. New and clean facility. Highly recommended over going to a hospital ER.

I have visited this ER a few time and their staff never disappoints me.This time was not different but my head nurse was amazingly special “Tonya” an angel working on earth. Dr. Mauzy was very nice as well. Thank you for your labor of love!!

The front check in lady need to listen carefully why patients is there, you cannot just cut them off and make a wrong decision!!! You need to show some compassion to those sick patients coming in!!! If you don’t like your job you are more than welcome to quit!!! Those sick patients did not asked you to be there and them to be treated like that!!!And even if I call that number what are you gonna tell me???

While I dont like going to the hospital This is my go-to place if I needed to go because when Ive had two before theyve always been Johnny and Jill on the spot 100% accuracy and kindest on top of all that. Admitted very quickly. In exam room in 10 minutes. Dr and nurses were fast and courteous. Overall, very good experience.

Everyone was so nice got us back really quickly had to wait awhile for radiology to respond about and x ray but otherwise everything was great

First of all, I wasnt at StV Southside, but I went to the Free Standing ER on Monument Rd. The staff was great, efficient and thorough. I would definitely recommend.

I had a bad case of Gout for 7 days, and on July 3rd, had to go to the Ascension/St Vincents Urgent Care. Everyone was nice enough, except for the young lady at the very front, when you first walk in. She could tell I was hard of hearing, yet she refused to talk louder to me. The RN was nice, but she took too long to bring me my discharge papers, and some oral medication the Doctor ordered. The Urgent Care Dr was very nice! He took the time to tell me what Gout was, and the treatment plan. This was at the Acension/St Vincent at Hutchinson Parkway next to Walmart!

My wait time in the ER was 1 hour and 15 minutes until I was taken back to a room. There were a number of EMTs in training. One of them gave me an IV. I dont believe that it was inserted properly on my left arm. I now have a very large bruise where it was inserted. That should not have happened. I would have preferred an ER nurse to do this. The rest of my time there was fine.

Staff was not busy but kind of cold. I was eventually diagnosed with pneumonia, so was feeling awful when I came in. They assumed I had COVID-19, which I didn’t. Came to discharge me with prescriptions before telling me what my diagnosis was, I had to ask. They messed up one of my prescriptions and I had to come back the next day to pick it up. The original dr, Dr Bakor said she would have the correct prescription waiting on me. That was not the case. Communication between staff needs to be improved!

The facility is new, so I expected it to be clean and attractive, but I was blown away by how compassionate and professional The whole staff was.

Amazingly quick - so incredibly kind in my time of need. Best ER experience I have EVER had. I hope to not need it again but if I did this would be where I would go - hands down.

My son was seen here for bloody vomiting. Pain in his chest and abdomen. He was given basic Tylenol and a chest xrayHe left in the same condition he came in because they were notn willing to look further into his pain because he tested positive.He was taken to another hospital where he was admitted, several scans done and his vomiting treated until it completely stopped. The Dr made sure his treatment plan worked before even thinking of discharging him.

This was the BEST Emergency visit I have experienced. I was seen in a timely manner and given full details of my condition. My care was the priority of the staff!!

The emergency room staff provided excellent care, and the P.A. on call, Mr. Marshall, did a superb job stitching my son’s face. Registration was easy, and the discharge nurse did an excellent job providing detailed instructions for his at-home care. A+

This is a really good hospital, even so the wait was too long because of all the ppl with covid, they was over crowded, but 8 hours later I was able to get the medication I need it and the staff was very nice to everyone and trying to help the best way they could under all that pressure of being over crowded,

My first night was like the Hanio Hilton. Filipinos or people from Cambodia yelled all night and scared me. I couldnt sleep. The first doctor was Arabic and had a rude demeanor. I couldnt understand what he was saying. Days two, three and four were peaceful and my nurses were kind and professional. I hated being in your hospital. Try hiring Americans that speak English well. The phlebotomists were horrid. My right arm had forty punctures! They would stick me , possibly ten or twelve times to draw blood. Your hospital is a nightmare. I told Dr. Rodas all about it.Whats wrong with you?

The check in lady that sits by the door was very professional and gave me instructions on what to do.She gave me a mask.I went to the counter and completed my check in.It was a very simple process.The ER waiting room was full so I was surprised that my wait time was only about 40 min.I was in and out relatively fast.

Went in with pain from my Ulcerative Colitis,it was active at the time. Constantly going to the bathroom,I was in extreme pain. From the time I got there it was nothing but fantastic treatment, from the front desk staff to the awesome doctors and attentive staffs in the back. I left with a smile on my face,(I didn’t arrive with one on it) and a gracious THANKS to everyone on my medical team. I Truly Appreciate you guys and THANKS again.

The care I recieved from the time I entered the door was professional, courtesy, caring and devoted. This same care remained throughout my er stay from each person I met. I medical needs were met in an extremely satisfying way. Thanks St Vincents,a job well done! Touche

The doctors i had like 4 i think where amazing they check for everything i couldnt of asked for theost sweetiest charge nurse and the nursing staff. My little Russian lady took good care 9f me i felt so bad she never was to sit down because she was in charge of everyone on that floor. Amazing lady you knoe she loved her Job .and the people she helped.🥰🥰🥰

Nurses were very welcoming and definitely made me feel like it was a safe environment, we laughed and joked, overall good experience.

I was not checked on. The nurses and doctors were rude and ugly. Horrible experience. No one came when I needed to go to the restroom. I unhooked all cords myself and went. No one noticed that I was no longer connected, nor that I was not in my room. I needed water, but was never asked if I needed anything. My mouth was so dry, that I could barely swallow. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!! If I could give this a minus rating, I would.

St vincents is the best hospital in Jacksonville. They helped me have a Natural birth after previously have a C-SECTION birth. Ive had mostly good experiences here. Came there with a fractured tooth and was taken care of. Only issue I had was being asked to cover up while breastfeeding which I politely declined.

I just really would’ve like a ultrasound done to I’ll get one elsewhere I guess but it was good I was in an out it was not long time and the doctor seemed very caring so yeah pretty good

Everyone was very sweet at the regency location. However I was referred to a dr that does not accept my insurance. When I called to get a surgery consult with a dr affiliated with st Vincent’s I was told they were booked until the end of July. Doesn’t really do a lot of good for someone in extreme pain.

Very nice and friendly staff, from the time I walked in and walked out. The Dr was awesome and tried to make light of my situation lol. Him and my discharge nurse made me feel wayyy better hearing their covid experiences. Now I don’t feel so bad and I’m gonna kick covid butt

They were very rude and treated me horrible. Ive never been treated so badly in an emergency room. I understand people who come in with the problem I did are looked down on but this treatment was ridiculously bad. And I hope they do something about the rude male nurse who released me. Its sad that people are that unkind to each other during a time when you should be nice and caring. I will never tell anyone to come to Ascension St Vincents southside. I cant believe I was treated so badly and made to feel like I was a criminal in a hospital e.r. environment.

The ER was a great experience! A little bit of a wait but I felt cared for and I was handled correctly! The staff and doctors were just amazing!

Literally the worst experience, I haven’t been to st Vincent’s in years and I now remember why. Left & went to baptist, was already seen by the time st Vincent’s was calling my phone trying to call me back. DO NOT COME HERE.

Took along time to see a doctor but she was nice and kind but she forgot to put meds in at pharmacy I went there today to pick it the was no order for but I called the ER back and they put it in this afternoon I wouldn’t go to that ER again because there just to busy. But ST.Vincent is a great hospital

They took care of me in a timely manner and had me back out as soon as they could. The nurses were amazing and so was the Dr. (Dr. Paschall ) the environment was relaxed and clean during my visit as well.

Wife was unresponsive so called 911 and she was taken to ER at St Vincent’s South. Attended to immediately and was released in about 3 hours after testing results confirmed she was okay

Everyone was wonderful! Went in for broken ribs. Establishment is very clean and everyone was very professional.

Well I went in for a pulled muscle in my back. Get registered and back into a room was great. The front staff is fantastic. My problem came when I went back. The dr came to the door not in the room but the door. I told him what was going on and he said he was gonna give me a shot. Ok great still not happy he didnt come in the room but whatever. So the nurse comes in gives me 2 pills and a shot. They did nothing to reduce my pain. When the dr came back to the door again not in the room I told him everything was still the same. He proceeded to tell me that it will take a couple of hours for me to feel relieved. So he tells me he is going to send me home with perceptions. I inform him that I see a pain management dr and cant do that. He then tells me not to worry about that. Um ok so he sends scripts to my pharmacy and low and behold one of the scripts that he sent I am allergic to. Not a good thing in my book cause its in my charts. Not sure what to make of it cause other times I have gone there Ive had no problems.

The male nurse practioner was awful did not do anything for me did not listen to my chest did not lay hands on me at all and I really think he should not get paid did nothing and feed me a bs story about there is nothing he can do for me had a virtual visit with my doctor today an was perceived medication fire him.

I brought my 9 year old daughter here and Due to the fact she was wheezing and threaten to have a asthma attack I can honestly say they are very courteously people and friendly staffs but the respiratory Staff who gave my child a. Treat did carefully listen to her airwaves because the moment we got back home she was wheezing again none stop so I’ve been giving her treatment after treatment

Husband had a cut that required 4 stitches er doctor stitched up and said they didn’t have any antibiotic ointment but he could unwrap and put some on when he got home. They did not prescribe any antibiotics or preventive care otherThan come back to have them takenOut within 7-10 days. Cut was on forearm right near wrist and just missed tendons and main vein did it while doing work with rusty wire. Very very unprofessional.

Staff was nice. Very crowded. Took awhile having my grandson sick at 4 yrs old is a task. But other than having to sit in hallway for awhile with him it was ok. They had to do a covid test. He hated. At least it was a ear infection. Antibiotics and tylenol. 5 hours later. But I know why he was running a high fever.

I usually have nothing but HORRIBLE experiences at any ER. I avoid them at all costs. However, yesterday I woke up with yet another UTI (4th) since my surgery in February. I was alone and passed out on the toilet from the pain. My urine was almost all blood. I called 911 and asked to go to the ER.Brian was my nurse and he was fantastic! He tried his best to comfort me. I was in extreme pain and crying. Dr. Kennedy was thorough, professional and kind. They gave me a Mega Antibiotic and sent me home.First time ever, being treated with dignity, compassion and respect in an ER!Thank you Brian and Dr. Kennedy.A month later and I ended up in the ER again. I had horrible stomach cramps all day Sunday and finally let my husband take me to the hospital. I hate ERs! But I was in so much pain, I gave in after 12 hours of suffering.Once again I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness and expertise of the staff. Alicia is wonderful! She is the only one to ever put an IV in without stabbing me several times, bursting veins and leaving me with a bruised arm & hand. I was talking to the doctor and was shocked when Alicia told me the IV was in. She was patient and kind.The people taking me to get a cat scan were kind and funny. I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names.When my husband didn’t answer his phone when I called to have him come get me, Alicia gave me a pillow and let me doze off from the morphine they gave me for pain. He eventually woke up and came to get me 6 hours later.This could have been a true disaster for me if Ascension St. Vincents ER staff hadn’t changed their attitude and procedures. It’s been a source of great frustration until the last 2 visits.Thank you Alicia and Dr. Pascal.

Wasn’t seen for two hours. Place was gross and the staff was so rude except for the lady you check in with and the lady who did my vitals. Never coming back. Don’t waste your time.

I received my first vaccine shot, and the following day I had terrible side effects. I felt incredibly ill. That wasn’t the issue. I knew that could happen. The problem was my face, lips, and tongue began to swell. So I went to the ER. I was worried my throat was going to close. It took 5 hours to see anybody (literally) and I talked with someone for a collective 5 minutes. She handed me some Benadryl and told me to monitor it. Then, the lady who came to collect payment for the hospital doing absolutely nothing (again, handed me a Benadryl in a plastic cup) told me I owed $397 out of pocket. When I told her I couldn’t pay $397 today she said she could charge me $100 and then set up a payment plan to pay off the rest. I agreed. Shortly after I received a message from my bank stating that my account was overdrawn by $277. She charged me the full amount, handed me a piece of paper stating that I was charged $100, and then told me there was nothing she could do about it. Again, literally. What a horrible excuse of a hospital.

It took from 11am to 5pm to get me in when they told us it would be 30 to 45 minutes. It was freezing in there and they caused me more pain when doing xray and CT scans twice i will not go back to this er again i go to Baptist instead.

It was alright wait was a little long but doctors and nurses are great.

Dissatisfied, disappointed and frustrated. Came in couldnt move my arm.no test done or image taken of my arm he just felt it and prescribed naproxen which is basically souped up Advil. 2 days later Im still in pain,cant lift my arm above my shoulders and cant work.

Dont go to this hospital unless you are willing to drop your loved one off and leave them there. I tried to take my husband to the hospital tonight he was not feeling good and we think that his sugar was High. When we got there I was told that I had to leave that I could not stay with him. I understand the precautions but my husband is mostly blind and he did not want to stay by himself. I tried to explain this to the nurses but they did not care. So we left I certainly hope that nothing happens to him tonight
