Im not one to post negative reviews about places online but I feel it is imperative that others are aware that this clinic is either intentionally scamming their patients or they routinely make mistakes when dealing with insurance and calculating cost of therapy.Upon my first appointment, the staff seemed mostly friendly. When discussing insurance and cost of therapy, I was told that they were in network with my insurance and I would only be responsible for paying 20% of the cost for my visits. I thought great! At the end of my appointment, the clinic owner Eric Gibbs came into the room and went over some of my results, trying to sell me orthotics for a good 45 min. I was really taken back when he took off his own shoe to show me something, revealing his filthy socks. I was so ready to get out of there.Despite having a bad feeling about this place, I still attend my sessions. After a month or so of my weekly visits, I later find out this clinic is in fact OUT of network and that I was instead fully responsible for all of my visits. Upon hearing this, I immediately contacted them and was told that my insurance must have changed or something of the sort. To say I was upset is an understatement. I decided to cancel all of my future appointments as to avoid adding to how much I was already out for. I then made multiple attempts to speak directly with Eric the owner, although he never returned any of my calls. Please beware of this clinic!! Med Center Therapy is shady and the owner is a complete coward!!

I just completed 3 months of therapy at Med Center. I have never finished therapy and felt as good as I do. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel comfortable. John and Bella at the front, Kaeala, and Callie, I love. Each therapist I had was outstanding and knowledgeable about my problems. They listened to all I had to say and I always left feeling good. I could go on and on, they are wonderful.

This is a really nice place. They make their patients feel welcome and taken great care of. The therapists took great care of my ankle and the orthotics, I was fitted for, made the biggest difference in the world.

I was referred to Med Center Therapy by my primary care physician for chronic back pain in February 2014. Med Center Therapy called me and confirmed that they were in-network for my insurance and that based on my policy, my visits would be covered 80% and I would only be responsible for paying 20% of the cost. After continued visits of paying my quoted 20% each time, in mid April 2014, I was contacted by my insurance saying that Med Center Therapy was, in fact, OUT-of-network, and that I was responsible for paying 100% of the costs for all of my visits. When I contacted Med Center Therapy, the worker who had confirmed my in-network coverage over the phone in February was no longer working there, placing the impossible burden of proof on me. Why was I only being held responsible for 20% every visit, until some sudden change in April?Because of a HUGE mistake on the part of their staff, Med Center Therapy is now holding me responsible for thousands of dollars in medical bills that I, as a college student, cannot afford. Obviously, had I been made aware that they were OUT-of-network, I never would have gone. Either I WAS in-network the entire time (which would explain my paying only 20% each time), or each time I visited, they were aware that I was out-of-network and were NOT letting me know! On top of that, they continue to refuse responsibility and attempt to cover up their mistakes. This only proves that Med Center Therapy is a shady business that will not support its customers. Do not patronize Med Center Therapy, they WILL screw you over! There are other instances of customer and employee complaints, just Google it!

I have to say that Med Center Therapy has done wonders for me! The staff has always been extremely friendly professional and welcoming. I have a very unique physical situation as I was the first case in history to be born with polio in the womb. Most doctors and physical therapist look at me like a horse looking at a new gate! They just don’t know what to think or do! I have suffered from excruciating pain in my back for many years. Honestly, I thought I would probably die with this pain. Something very unique about med center therapy is it they actually “listen“ to you. You know what it’s like when you go somewhere and after going over everything they go ahead and do whatever they want to do completely disregarding everything you said? Not at Medcenter therapy! I had a wonderful therapist who actually listened to me and responded to what I said. Today, after many years of living with this excruciating pain in my back I am pain-free! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owner and I can personally attest to the fact that he is in the business because he truly cares for people. I’ve read some negative reviews regarding problems with insurance. I personally have had no problems with insurance. It has always been exactly as I was told it would be when it comes to my insurance. The physical well-being of others is the Top Priority at Med Therapy. I strongly encourage you to give them a chance to help you with your physical therapy needs. I’ve been there for two separate problems and have been 100% satisfied both times! Med Center Therapy is the place to go for me and my entire family!

This place has given me back my life. My neurologist sent me here because my legs had become numb due to some kind off back problem. I also have severe asthma. After many months of steady work supported and guided by excellent therapists I am in as good shape as I was 5 years ago. I am very grateful and recommend Med Center Aquatic highly. Plus its fun.

I have been at this indoor aquatic therapy in 2011, 2013, and now (2016). The therapists are definitely professional and knowledgeable that is the main reason why I keep coming back. Although I have never met the owner, I can tell the owner really cares of patients. In all 3 different occasions, each time I see the staffs using the latest technology, new equipments are being used for patient care, and the place overall is very well upkeep. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 stars as parking truly is an issue. The place has tremendous growth on patients volume because of positive and professional on the staffs excellent patient care skills. As a result, the parking is getting worst due to the growth of patients volume. I highly recommend this indoor aquatic therapy to people suffering from chronic back pain like me.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have had four knee surgeries so I have had my fair share of doctors and physical therapists over the years. Within literally one week I am already walking better!!! I even got fit for custom orthotics and I will NEVER go back to a basic mass made shoe. The pool is very warm and large and best of all I dont have to share my therapist during my session! It is always 1 on 1. I HATED that at my past clinics, felt like I never had their full attention. Come here, you wont regret it!...& I dont know why the other reviews complain about insurance, they were very thorough and clear with me...some ppl just dont fully understand their own coverage I guess....

We are both in our early 70s.First,1. my wife has degenerative disk disease and has gone to Med Center Therapy for 4 years before and after her last surgery, a culmination of 9 surgeries that hashi resulted in fusing her vertebrae S5 thru C8.2. I have gone for 3 years before and after surgery for scoliosis and stenosis of myL5 thru T10, no fusion. After going to Medicare Center Therapy, we both have recovered more than expected by our surgeons! The staff is a caring, well educated, highly professional group of Therapists and Assistant Therapists who are dedicated to providing individual services for their customers.

BEWARE! They use a policy called bate and switch. They tell you that your visits are covered by your insurance and has a small co-pay, then after several visits they tell you your insurance changed, surprisingly after the first consultation, and now you have this huge deductible to pay. I am not the only one this has happened to if you read the rest of the reviews. It probably explains why they have a huge turnover in staff. I made several attempts to get to the root of the problem and discuss with the owner but he never would take my calls. VERY POORLY RUN BUSINESS AND DECEPTIVE!

First: A big shout out to Jay. Without him this would have been a one star review. He worked wonders. 5 stars to him and actually all the staff. The bad review has to do with the owner: Eric. I contacted them after my knee replacement this December. I gave them my insurance number. They called me to set up an appointment, but I was not at my phone. I called them as soon as I got the message. Then I did not hear from them for quite a few days. They called me again on a Tuesday night and asked me to come at 11 am the next day. They told me no other time was available. As a lawyer, I had clients on that day at that time. Nevertheless, I was desperate to get back to normalcy, so I rescheduled my clients. And there I was the at 11 am on that Wednesday for a two hour appointment whose sole purpose was to get me to buy an orthotic. They did all sorts of tests for 1.5 hours. Then I had to meet with the head PT, who did, you guessed it, more tests. Ultimately I get to talk to Eric. He went over my charts----all neatly printed out in color. The tests showed that my entire problem was due to my feet. And I would continue to have problems. However 60% of my problems will go away if I got their orthodics. Even I, as a lawyer would have bought this, had I not had an appointment with Dr. Varner before my surgery, and an orthotic from Memorial Herman , a few years before. Erics pictures showed a lot of red coloring on my foot. Eric said, Doctors dont know about feet. He did not appear to even have heard of Dr. Varner, who is a premier foot orthopedic surgeon in Houston-----(Not a podiatrist). Also, as someone else remarked, they tried to say I had a co pay. I told them that I had called BCBS, and they said it would be fully covered. Then they said, Oh, your name is not XYZ. Oh, sorry, you dont have a co pay. Given the fact that most of their clienteles are seniors, they probably swindle a good many folks. The main exercises are the same, no matter who, no matter what injury------walking forward, backward and sideways in the pool with some stretches. Not worth paying my money to go there for sure

Im sorry to say this, but dont waste your time or money at this facility. The energy/atmosphere is far from welcoming and the staff seems mostly to be unhappy. I was lied to and scammed into schdueling appointments during my initial assesment. When it was mentioned to me the cost was to be $130/session I expressed my concern that I needed to speak with my husband, as with any large purchase or financial commitment before setting up any appointments. I then went and did the required testing and met with one physical therapist to discuss my tendonitis of the elbow. They then brought me back into the room in which we previously discussed the financials and I was apologized to as they had misread my physical therapy prescription and stated that the Land Only Therapy would be $25/session and that the Aquatic Therapy was indeed the $130/session. After discussing this cost difference for a bit I felt more comfortable and booked eight (8) future sessions for the next month. I left the facility feeling a little off and confused, but decided to keep my commitment.I attended my first physical therapy session this past week. The energy of the facility still felt off when I arrived but the physical therapist I saw was friendly. As I was waiting at the checkout area the receptionist told me the cost was to be $106. I questioned this and as if routine she went and grabbed the gentleman who had apologized prior and told me about the $25/session for land therapy. He apologized once again stating that my insurance charges in quarters and he did not know this. (AS IF HE DOESNT WORK WITH INSURANCE ALL THE TIME?!?!) I knew right then I had been taken advantage of and lied to. I then asked if the $130 was multiplied by quarters as well, he stated that that was the full cost of the aquatic. He muttered a forced apology and walked away behind closed doors as tears started to stream down my face. I paid the $106 and left. It has nothing to do about the money, but how I was treated. Whatever happened to integrity and honesty? I am doing my part now to inform others to do some more research and opt for another place that works with your insurance to find pain relief for yourself or a loved one.I have since done my research and have found another physical therapy facility that is beyond amazing and the difference is night and day. I finally see hope in the relief of pain and recovery of my elbow.
