I work for an assisted living community and Encompass Vintage is where we usually refer our residents for rehab. The quality of rehabilitation that they receive is just amazing and we are always thrilled with the results. Thanks for taking such great care of our residents and for helping them maintain their independence longer! Suzanne in Case management is wonderful to work with.

My son went for knee rehab. The PTs were good and helpful and even built up his confidence on the knee before leaving for college. A couple of months ago, I had a billing issue that I struggled getting resolved with the company headquarters. However once the controller of the facility found out about my concerns, he called me and worked through the issues. The problem was resolved with just one phone call. I greatly appreciated his help, and he definitely restored my confidence in the facility.

Staff was absolutely wonderful. I had suffered a stroke on my right side. After 14 days as an inpatient and 13 weeks as an outpatient I had recovered completely from the effect of the stroke. Staff would push you to test your limits. Would highly recommend this hospital by and rehab facility.

I was a patient at Health South in the Vintage in late October. I could not recommend this facility more highly. Their nursing staff was friendly and attentive. The facility was clean and comfortable. Their rehab area was very well equipped and the staff there were outstanding. My stay there was a very pleasing experience all around.

I truly can say this facility has awesome staff. Physical Therapy Department; occupation therapy. However there could be some improvements with the communication among the nursing staff. Me personally do not want the hear about your personal problems and the patient can hear. I’m a nurse myself I find this unprofessional as a care taker. Our concern should be focus on their patient. Gentle Awareness my love.

I would not suggest anyone use this In Patient Care facility. And, dont ever let them tell you, you are required to stay 24/7 or hire a sitter, if your family member is a fall risk! Or tell you, you cant leave, or your relative will be discharged! It is why they are there! Insurance pays for their In Patient care, and they have scheduled visiting hours.Unforgivable treatment to say the least. I filled out their automated review of facility care which reflects the dismal and unprofessional treatment from the nursing staff and upper management. The Physical therapists seem to be great and helped my dad a lot, the one I met personally seemed to really care and seemed surprised of the issues I raised with the others. But, nursing staff and management need some serious help or replacement in my opinion.

I’ve recouped twice there for knee surgery. They are a top notch facility. Rooms are great, food is delicious, rehab equipment is new and well maintained and above all else, the staff is fantastic! I know I would not have been back on my feet without Healthsouth Encompass!Three weeks ago I had my second back surgery. I am now receiving in-home PT with Encompass. I’m already noticing a big improvement in my gait. I highly recommend Healthsouth inpatient and Encompass outpatient care.

My grandmother was here for two weeks. I wish we had never picked this place. The staff is rude beyond belief. The ladies that are at reception dont even say hi or acknowledge you, not even if they had too address your problem. The nurses are not any better! They are some of the rudest people that I have ever met. I was authorized to be told medical information by the staff, my mother signed the form exactly for this purpose, mind you. They never told me anything and when I went to go to the desk where they sit they would look at me and then go back to what they were doing. It was always a struggle to get any information. They only people that would tell me what was going on was the physical therapist. Now I was up there everyday and saw all of these people for two weeks straight, yeah nothing. When I finally had to go ask for someone in charge I talked to Emily. By this time I had a few complaints: my grandmother had developed bed sore because she had not been given a bath in 5 days (They are supposed to have one every other day!) and my mother had to point these out to the nurse so obviously she hadnt had been given a bath, the staff was not listening about the problems she had and didnt seem concerned for her when it came to her eating, they talked about getting her speech therapy and never did anything further to get that going, never talked to the case worker until I was there having lunch with my grandma and she happened to stop by that day... Also my mother has called and left voicemails for the case worker and she never called her back. Emily did take care of the issue of her bathing and getting her a speech therapist. The workers only told my grandma what was going on even though she was taking pain pills for part of the time and she was watching the how to set up your satellite channel and didnt even notice. Why would you tell an 87 year old woman on pain pills what is going on when she cant even remember what is going on and cant remember anything in general. Seriously?!?!?! When she was discharged the caseworker asked us where we wanted to have the physical therapy and I told her didnt know since we didnt have any information given to us so how could we. They also said they would give us the discharge paperwork and we never got it. I had to go back there to get the paperwork and I was up there for two hours trying to get a piece of paper, the caseworker said that we never gave them the aftercare place. I found that funny since we had to pack her stuff to go home and make a decision in 30 minutes. No one ever told us that we had to do that. There is no communication in this place. I asked to talk to the CEO that day and they said that she was in a meeting. HA I am sure that even if I did try and set up an appointment that I would not get one. Instead since I am sure that these problems will go unaddressed that I am writing a review. I cant recommend this place to anyone in good conscience.

My husband was admitted to the Tomball hospital with a severe skin infection after 14 days of IV antibiotics his doctors then began recommending a rehab facility. We began researching and decided on HealthSouth at the vintage. We worked closely with Erin and Lacey in admissions. They spent many hours of their own time working with our case managers and our insurance. I spent many hours after hours with Erin trying to get things straighten out for my husband to be admitted to Health south. In the end we ended up being discharged to home health but couldnt be more thankful for the positive words, kind check ins and hard work these ladies did to make sure that my husband got the best care possible. Hopefully, we wont have to go through this process again but if we do my first call will be to Health south. Thank you ladies and we truly appreciate your help.

If I could give zero stars that would be most appropriate. The communication in this hospital is lacking completely. You can speak with a supervisor and ask that a certain nurse not come back to your loved ones room and that will not happen. They ignore the request. They have a couple of good nurses, but some nurses leave a lot to be desired in the areas of clinical expertise and bedside manners. And then some with lacking integrity. If you try to raise a concern for your loved one, you are immediately put on a list for a team meeting in which you have no input as a patient or family member. The patients boards are hardly accurate and medications are changed without informing the patient or family members. You fill out a menu every couple of days, but that does not mean you will get what you ordered. The food is HORRIBLE. Some of the Patient Care Assistants do not change their gloves as indicated by OSHA standards to prevent infections. For example, they wear the same gloves in and out of the patients room and they put the hygiene products that they use to put on a patients bottom (Butt) on the table that they eat. That is completely gross. Who wants to eat where they poop? Some of the staff is not trained properly on safe patient transfer techniques. So they could actually end hurting your loved one further. Some of the team members do not even pay attention to limb alerts. Thank God I was present most of the time. You have to request the bed lines be changed even when they are soiled with blood or feces! They will not put the clothes you bring for your loved ones unless you raise an issue. They prefer to put the paper gowns even if those do not fit properly and your loved one is not able to fully participate in physical therapy because of improper fitting gowns/pants. The list could go on to be the length of a thesis. Please do yourself and your loved one a favor. Choose another facility.

I cannot recommend Healthsouth The Vintage. My Mother was there to rehab after a back injury. Yes, the staff was mostly nice and overworked. But they are also incompetent. My Mother was not given any of her heart, blood thinners, blood pressure or anxiety medications for a WHOLE WEEK. Her doctor was heartless and just wanted to release her because she hadnt made any progress. She hadnt made progress because of their incompetence! I had to insist that she be allowed to stabilize and do some productive therapy. They only allowed her to stay a week. I later found out that they still neglected to give her all of her medication when they returned her medication to me. There should not have been any left, as they were only provided enough for her stay. She walked into the facility, but could barely walk when she left. Furthermore, she had a bladder infection, probably because she was told to have bowel movements in her diaper. She was hospitalized two days later, almost septic from the bladder infection.Unfortunately my Mother was not able to fully recover from this bladder infection. She was never able to walk again. Her condition continued to deteriorate due to her poor care at Healthsouth. She was fine in August before she hurt her back. She passed away in February. I do not think she would have died had she received her medications and the medical staff should have been aware of her bladder infection (the odor alone should have been an indication)I believe their physical therapist are good, not not their nursing staff. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

My loved one (age 93) had hip surgery and went to rehab at this facility. This review is strictly rating the case manager, Maria, the nursing staff, and Savon who coordinated her admission. These people were amazingly patient and caring. The PT and OT were excellent and she was walking within days, and gaining strength. We did not realize dementia was occurring and I was very demanding of the staff and looking back Im sure I was a handful. I was constantly asking for things and they constantly responded with patience and kindness. Thank you especially to Maria who gave us her personal cell phone as did Savon and the other staff who truly cared. I was not thrilled with the DO/medical Doctor on staff, but do not want to rate the facility based on our experience with him. My loved one had a lot of health issues.
