No place will be perfect, but there is no place like your own home or your relatives home. Are there things that should be improved? Of course. However, the emergency responses are great and Mr. Green, and the staff (especially Anthony) do their best to help the residents and their families. My family and I do our routine checks for our family member, but I can say I dont worry all the time!

I would like to preface this review with saying it mainly speaks to the excellent and professional attention my sister and myself received from Tracey, the Care Transition Advisor of Westchase Rehab. She was able to secure a bed for my sister temporarily at Westchase Rehab till a bed opened up in a facility close to where I live. Speaking of Westchase, my sister never had one complaint while there and was well taken care of. The nursing staff were always kind and considerate when I would pick up my sister for a visit. Tracey assisted us at every turn in securing my sister a place to live temporarily, but also in preparing her for her current residence. Im so appreciative for her being there in our time of need.

My loved one goes a week, sometimes two with only one shower. Staff is nowhere to be found at night. My loved one is alert and oriented, just imagine what kind of care the patients who can’t speak up receive! I have complained to the administrator and corporate with no resolution of the multiple issues we have had. Hopefully HHS will be able to assist. Would not recommend.

I brought my husband there a couple of times and it was not good at all. First of all the Admin pretend to be so nice Kari over the phone but once you get your love one in there its a different situation. I mentioned to her that my husband should have bed rails and I was lied to twice that she could make that happen and never did. I think nurse Ms. Kate did her best but they are short of employees. I would tell them in head of time when I would be picking up my husband and they never had him ready. I would also help get his things ready and get them to my car. I really believe this place need to be investigated.

I chose West base Health and Rehabilitation Center from a list over a dozen rehab centers.I was in Westchase Health & Rehab Center for rehabilitating from 6 fractured ribs. I am very appreciative for the quality of physical and occupational therapy that I received.I am very appreciative to the nurses and nurses assistants that very helpful and kind during my stay at the Westchase Health and Rehabilitation Center.I throughly enjoyed the meals served at the rehabilitation center. The meals are not only nutrition but also delicious. Bravo go to the dining department!As far as I am concerned, Westchase Health and Rehabilitation Center is the best in Houston, Texas.

Food is okay but could be better with a little attention to details. Something always seems to be missing.

My Experience with this Center has been nothing short of a Nursing Home Nightmare on 8820 Town Park! I was Transported to this Facility from Ben Taub with no warning. Upon arrival on May 12, 2021 I took pictures of my belongings at 8:09PM please see Green Foot Boots issued by Ben Taub with EMT transport.Nurses gone Wild on Weekends with no response to Call Button! Im hearing another resident Scream HELP ME! He is ignored! The nurses are Rough, Rude and Do Not Care!Fast Forward to my Discharge Date June 4thBest Care Ambulance came to transport me home. My bags were packed on a cart but one bag confiscated by Freddie the Administrator staking claim on my belongings brought with me from Ben Taub in the picture dated May 12th at 8:09PMThe EMT addressed Freddie about my belongings and he said How do you know it came from Ben Taub? He refused to return my belongings just proving that he is a thief and pathological liar.This Facility needs to be Inspected, Under Investigation and Shut Down.June 7th - Apolonia called to inform me she was sending Josh from Social Services to hand deliver my belongings to my apartment. Josh returned belongings then called to let me know he left them outside the door.

They shouldnt have this place open dont take your parents heres they dont take care of patients if it was for me not even one start ill give this place

The worst place to work for ever !!! Bad attitudes and they don’t care for their residents. One of my clients randomly had a black eye and nobody knows how she got the black eye. Unprofessional and very ghetto I do not recommend anyone work here or bring your family to this dump

We successfully transferred my mom to this health center and they were so nice and friendly. Daniela in the admission offer and the administrator helped us a lot, all people in the front office were very nice and friendly. My mom were taken care of very patiently I really recommend this place!Li

I had never been in a nursing, rehab facility and was very apprehensive when I was transferred to West Janisch rehab. I found it to be clean, no unpleasant smells and the staff VERY helpful. The PT/OT staff helped to have the confidence to learn to be independent. I had broken my leg in 2 places and can not put any weight on it. They helped me to learn to use a walker to hop around. The nursing staff took great care of me, especially when I had a bad cold and other problems. The housekeeping staff kept my room clean as well as our area of the facility. I would recommend West Janisch to anyone that asks!

The employee that I spoke to was very professional and helpful. I love how confident he was in providing the best care for his patients. The place smells nice as well.

Office staff is kind but the some of the nurses are rude and mean. Also, my mother is missing clothing after leaving this place. Unfortunately, I cannot categorize every nurse or aid, because some were great. However, they are short staffed and you cannot guarantee what personality will be over your loved ones. I was able to see my mom everyday, but others may not be so fortunate, and for that reason I definitely recommend research. P.S. part of the place smells good and part smells like straight urine. They are remodeling so hopefully it will change.My mom is currently in another facility because I didn’t want her to go back to this place.

Its horrible and Terrible leave bag of spices and urine on the floor in your love one rooms do not cleaning love one up like they sure the state have been call in on numerous time while my mom was there . And Director and D,O,N have saying head in the bed meaning put more people in the bed more money. They have told me numerous of time they care least about the State. Then have been fine twice this year a long by the state on affection control and numerous of things Westchase is a 1 star and need be close down or change administration period and D. O. N.

Disorganized many obstacles to overcome especially during covet 19

My father in LAW has been there since January of this year they dont care about the patience / resident at all they just want to get money the building is very old as soon as you enter the building it smells like urine I have seen roaches ect. This place needs to be shut down for good Im trying to remove my father in LAW as we speak,he has been in the hospital 4 times each time the staff said they didnt know what happened now he has to have part of a limb removed please dont take any of your love ones here

If I could rate a zero star I would. Honestly, this place has horrible staffing starting with the fact that one of the nurses fed my dad tap water and said If you dont want him drinking tap water bring him some clean water yourself. I was very upset and so was my mother. The other nurses/employees in charge of caring for my dad would get upset when my mom would request they change his brief and cleaned his bed. They would walk in and kick everyone out rudely. After one week, my dad was sent home despite his weak condition. ALL in ALL, this place deserves to be shut down.

I have had my relative at this facility for 14 years. For the most part the care has been Okay. When I have had issues it has been rectified in a reasonable time. I have had problems over the years with urine left too long, cleanliness of room and few other issues. But I understand that the caretakers are paid very little and sometimes you get what you pay for. The place has been through several staff changes but I have always seen a general concern by nurses and staff. I am informed 90% of the time of any health issues immediately. Some years were great, some fair, some poor; Of course it’s not a Luxury facility with superior care, but I will give it 2.5 to 3 out of 5 stars.

All the good staff are quitting most of the people in business are unprofessional in rude. If you bring your family members here make sure you check on them daily.Its really nothing to talk about I feel like your focus should be on better and westchase health and rehab. Do yall know at times it be two CNAs for 60 residence, thats not fair for the workers and at the end of the day the residents are the ones suffering because in real life time its impossible for two CNAs to give the proper care that they are capable when they have to provide services for 60 residence.

The staff member that I spoke to, when I visited; was very professional and friendly.Some of the reasons for this rating are that it was clean; and there were NO foul smells, as so many other facilities do.I did not tour the whole facility, -- which is the only reason that I did not give it 5 stars.

I stayed in the westchase for two years and I miss the it the it nice and clean and the staff is nice but not all of them

We went to take my father there for therpy, when you walk in the building its smells like urine, the staff acts like they dont care, you have patients screaming, naked people running around. the place in just nasty, i would not recommend this place to anyone... we went right out, they need to shut this facility down...

My name is Jovan Brooks, and Im currently a resident at said facility. I urge all people to find another facility to send your loved ones to. All staff are not bad, but the bad staff ruin it for all. They do not have a high standard for cleanliness, or patient care. Most are incompetent, and only do this as a job.

Do not send your loved one here. They have been fined 3 times for their incompetence and denied Medicaid/Medicare in 2016.My dad was totally neglected. He has a colostomy and urostomy and because of that they figured they didnt have to check on him or bath him. They changed his food to pureed without telling me and they did so because they were too lazy to wait for him to chew his food. I removed him from this home and so far its much better but I truly believe ANYWHERE is better than this place. Its too large to take care of its residents.

This place is amazing. I would absolutely recommend admitting a family member here.

My sister has been there for about 16 days for live in rehabilitation from a seizureThe facility is always clean the staff helpful, friendly and attentive to sis and myself. The therapy has helped her and shes coming home next weakened.,

Nice clean place. Very good rehab services.

Worst place. Went to visit a friend and she said did not have a bath for 2 weeks she smelled bad. I had to bathe her myself. Not to mention they are keeping her chemically sedated.

My Grandmother has been there for three weeks and I have no complaints. The staff haa been very helpfull and caring.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 I went to visit a friend of mine father. upon my arrival, the staff was sitting at the nurse station talking to each other. I told them who I was looking for, they pointed me in the direction of his room. entering into this small room where obviously only one bed should have been in there, I looked for my friends father. He had fallen and his head was under the other patients bed. My granddaughter ran to the nurse station for help, someone I guess she was an aide came in, said she was not his nurse and left the room. we waited for approximately 5 more minutes and my granddaughter went back to the station. my friends father said he yelled for help, no one came and so he just laid there. I am forwarding a copy of this to State Board of Nursing, the VA that sent him to this forsaken place, BBB and APS

Please please, stay away ghetto, hood-rat, trashy place. The employees are ghetto worked here for a few days, and quit due to the inadequacy of the place.I decided to quit, and these hounds started harrassing me, calling me everyday to come back. After working there a few days and witnessing some disturbing behavior, I knew this wasnt the place for me. Also an employee had given me some disturbing information, another reason I decided to quit.So pay day roles around, and I noticed my check was short, I attempt to contact them, my efforts were useless. Finally after contacting the on-call I decided to call back, spoke the CNA-Staffing Coordinator Deborah who kept telling I was suppose to come in, although I had told her I had resigned a week before. I told her that didnt matter, what matters is my pay, I told her they better pay me for my time, she kept saying what days you worked, I read off my time and she said were going to have to pay you later, I said BS, I will be contacting the labor board, and Sava headquarters!Dont come here to work, they STEAL your PAY! They are GHETTO and will argue with you, no class having asses!No full time - HR Person only a ghetto lady, jeeping time! What a waste!

My friend Ed was placed in this facility by the VA. He hated it so much because it was nasty and smelled like human waste. He faked a heart attack to get an ambulance to pick him up and take him to Herman Memorial. Very nasty facility. Ive reported this facility to the VA.
