Focus Care of Beechnut in Houston, Texas, should be closed down! Many of the staff are very mean, lazy and lack compassion towards the residents. They steal the residents food, clothing and other personal belongings. They retailiate against residents that they feel are not cooperating like they should. Many staff refuse to give the residents their medication if the resident makes them angry. Roaches are all in the bedrooms rooms of their residents. They refuse to bathe the residents consistently. The kitchen staff refuses to ensure that those on low sodium diets are accompanied with the correct meals. This place is horrible!There are some very good staff there, but the majority seem to be a staff full of negligence from the nurses down to the food prep staff. Complaints go ignored. They will claim to be trying to resolve issues, but theyll keep doing the same things over and over again. I cannot believe that the state hasnt shut this center down. There are so many infractions. The nurses have a string bond to protect each other from being exposed for their wrongdoings, it should be illegal!! The director is wonderful, but many of his workers are not equipped with enough love and compassion to be working there. Hats off to the good nurses and staff, but unfortunately the unethical nurses and staff have placed a bad name over the entire center!!!

The weekdays screener is really kind and welcomes people with a smile, I came here to apply for a job 2 weeks ago and my first experience here was awesome. She welcomed me with a really nice behavior. I love how they don’t discriminate.

The therapy staff is great!! This facility has a terrific team who work compassionately to care for all the wonderful residents. I highly recommend Focus Care at Beechnut!

I often see this facility frantically advertising for nursing staff. So I logically come on over and attempt to apply on my day off only to be told I can’t leave the facility with the application. It’s unfortunate! I have 11years of acute care experience in two states. One being California which had a rigorous curriculum and high nursing standards. I am a single mother and have no other option but to bring my son to fill out applications. A tip for you focused care? Make your application process more accommodating and you will have more staff available. This market is competitive and nurses like myself simply walk out the door and render our services elsewhere. I have ran entire subacute units at age 24 so too bad you didn’t allow me to be an asset. This is a pandemic and there are single moms who are doing the best they can. I was told there was ZERO ability to accommodate. Goodluck on staffing your building!

This is a great facility! The staff are not only knowledgeable but genuinely care for their residents . I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a long or short term placement.

Tried to visit there to go and see my mom on Mothers but they wouldnt allow me due to I had make an ✌🏼appointment✌🏼.....Oooook I understand this pandemic situation still currently out of hand but good grief...🙄

This facility is no longer Beechnut Manor - Focused Care at Beechnut is a completely different facility that occupies the same location as the old Beechnut Manor, but it’s totally different. New company, new protocols, new guidelines, new capabilities and care. This facility is clean, the care is top-notch, and the employees really care. There are newer, fancier looking buildings out there but buildings don’t take care of people; people do. Focused Care at Beechnut has the best people with the best hearts.

I really appreciate the way they care for the patients here. They are always on time with medication. The nurses are really nice on my sisters hall and I appreciate the care they give. Tiffany is wonderful and amazing with her care she gives. I have peace of mind with my sister here.

Focused Care at Beechnut is a saving grace! The quality of care received here is beyond anywhere else, and only continues to get better! The lovely staff, and home-like atmosphere is exactly why I want my family and loved ones to receive care and recovery here. The building isn’t some new industrial thing, but it makes it such a more comfortable place since it isn’t. If quality is what you seek, you’ve found it!!

I was told before. My mom can came it’s all about money. And she started to laugh she told me she works on weekends.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!!!!! MY MOTHER WAS ONLY HERE FOR 5 DAYS AND SHE IS NO LONGER LIVING. THIS FACILITY HAS YET TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MOM. IF I COULD GIVE A RATING OF A ZERO, I WOULD.

This place sucks and is so nasty, my father is in this place and he is being abused and mistreated along with the other residents. Please if you know anyone in here I encourage you to get your loved one moved to a better facility. They are so racist and rude, Im trying to get my dad moved but they want his money smh, worst place ever..

After having had my mother and father in this facility for the last year and a half I must say this has been incredible experience for both mom and dad. Unfortunately I am having to relocate my mother to be closer to my house with much regret, a decision that I didnt take lightly. With that said I would give this facility 10 stars if possible because they have always gone above and beyond the level of care and concern that I knew to be possible from a long term care facility. The staff here is what makes it happen a huge thanks to Dorinda, Sienna, AnnaLisa, Pat, Wilma, Valerie and the entire staff. They have been phenomenal! Focus care treats their patients like family and isnt that what it is all about. Do not pass this facility up when thinking about care for your loved one you will be sorry that you did! I was very specific about putting my daddy in a nursing home..Dad has been here for a long time....due to Alzheimers he needed special care... focused Care at Beechnut has given me the PEACE knowing hes in the best care.
