I have been going to the school of massage for at least 10-11 years. I have been satisfied about 98% of the time. The 1-2 times was due to language issues with me and the student who clearly English was their second language.Now if I think a language issue might be brewing, I ask for help from someone else to translate.The price can’t be beat, and the office is always clean, cold, and quiet.The appointment times are only Monday -Friday, but they do have late day appointments.I would recommend this business to anyone who needs a massage and just needs to release some extra tension in your joints.If you suffer from allergies, a face and head massage on your pressure points really helps with congestion, headache, and proper drainage of your sinus cavities. I have went in with a sinus headache, had my face and head massaged, and left with no headache. Works wonders, you should so try it.Can’t wait for my next appointment!!

Came today for my birthday to receive a student massage and Aria was amazing. I will be coming back for her before she leaves and I suggest anyone coming choose her!!

I’m a current student at HSM and so far my experience has been great. The teachers here are very knowledgeable. You can tell that they are passionate about their work. The receptionist Karla is amazing! She is very sweet and helpful. First day of internship I was a bit nervous but Karla walked me through the process and made me more comfortable.

I recently went for a massage and let me tell you it was the Best experience ever! The receptionist have the best customer service! And made a great job to make sure everything was sanitized

I’ve been going to the Houston School of Massage for a couple of months now and I love it every time I go and Karla is always so helpful and such a kind person. I have seen rude people go there and she has always handled them with the most professional manner. In now a days you have to kill them with kindness. Heads up, this review is from the perspective of a client receiving a massage, not a student working on a certification. The school was spotless, very clean, including the restroom. The receptionist and two students I interacted with were very friendly. The massage was only ok as my student was still learning, however it was worth every bit of what I paid.

I’m sitting in my car just having left an amazing massage by Ingrid. When I say I feel like a new person !! She was so gentle every time a movement was needed. The amount of pressure applied was great, I’m a bigger person so I was worried because a light touch wouldn’t suffice lol. She focused on all the areas I specified but my whole body was treated with detail. I’m so glad I came and plan on returning!!The ambiance was also great, very clean and relaxing.

The receptionist Karla was very helpful and friendly to me throughout the whole process of booking my appointment. Once i arrived for my appointment i was greeted and helped right away they were very professional. The students were also very professional, the massage helped alot with my stress and pains definitely will be coming back!

I had a great experience here at HSM as a student. Great teachers (Mrs.Griffin and Mr.Estevan) you can tell they love their job and they care about their students. The front desk staff ( Karla and Harumy) were also very helpful anytime I had questions.

This school is not honest with you. The licence is only good for Texas. If you move out of state you will not get hired as a massage therapist because you cant transfer it any where else. This is highway robbery because they dont tell you this in orientation. They also make you work for free per massage and not per hour for your credits. Anita (school director) is not sincere! Stay away from this school of you dont want to be stuck with a license you cant use anywhere but in Texas.

Rude, I called to set up appointments and woman that work the phones at 3:30pm April 28th, 2021 that answers continues to ask the same question as if she can not hear me then when I ask to speak to the supervisor and her name, she says I’m not giving that to you. Houston School of Massage: Why do you hire miserable people that want to give potential clients a hard time, particularly in a place that is suppose to promote healing? That’s ok, I’ll take my money elsewhere!

This place is great.reasonable prices and professional staff. They ask you what type of massage you want like deep tissue or relaxation.fresh clean sheets over the table and they use lotion but not too much.calming soft music played and the hour was up before you knew it..👍😁🙏

I have had an overwhelmingly-positive experience at HSM. Most of the student-therapists have great training. I highly recommend Frank Edwin -- who is just as good, if not better, than any top-dollar masseur in Houston. Book him before he graduates. Its super easy to book online. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Parking is easy and free in the garage or in the strip-center parking lot.

Today was my first time getting a massage at the HSM and I was really impressed with the quality of the it. The price was only 40$for 1h. The student was great and listened to what I wanted. The rooms could be improved but overall a good experience. I will definitely go back.

This massage school is a great deal, especially to those who want 95% of the quality for 30% of the price of other massage places. Myself and my wife had a couples massage yesterday, and we both left feeling fantastic and impressed that the massages only cost $35 for an hour. Theres a special right now bringing it down to $20 an hour if you buy the gift cards online, we bought many many more.Great job, great prices, nice comfy waiting room. The school is in a corner of the plaza with two glass doors, can be hard to find.

Pretty good for price. No frills. The worst Ive gotten over the past few years has been a student who couldnt apply as much pressure as I wanted. The best have been better than what I was getting at Massage Envy before I found the school. Definitely not fancy, but everyone has been professional and nice. Would recommend the Houston school of massage if you need to save money on getting a massage but want to get someone that is still good. As a bonus on saving, you arent supposed to tip the students, just leave them a little review on your paperwork to help give them feedback to improve.

I get my massages here every 2 weeks and they are wonderful. The students are very knowledgeable, caring to your needs. With the end results, stress free and relaxed. Great for the price and that has always been reasonable. You can schedule for one hour or more time if you like. You can request deep tissue, sports, or just a relaxing swedish massage ,they will deliver. The location is great, the premises are neat and clean. The student therapist are as well. I tell all my friends and family about The Houston School of Massage and I will continue coming here.

Is it a quality massage from a STUDENT? I THINK SO. Theres always room for improvement, but people forget they are STUDENTS in a learning process. Ive been coming here for years and always recommend HOUSTON SCHOOL OF MASSAGE to anyone who needs a massage.

The waiting area is not too fancy and the couches they use have a few tears in them. The room (building) is a little outdated so you have signs of wear in the ceilings but aside from that this is a great place. The massage is inexpensive and the student i had dida great job.

My daughter scheduled a massage as she recommended HSM to me.The person requested was not there, and this was two days prior. Receptionist threw her under the bus by telling me she is very irresponsible and often late. I suggested she call her because I really wanted her but she said she had and failed to get answeredShe suggested someone else so she appointed me a guy.I had initially marked all my points of massage needs I hope whoever oversees this can pay attention.My needs were still there once done.One odd thing I noticed was the coldness of the hands, I have gotten massages all my adult life and the most relaxing always have been the warmest hands. Strange.I believe the option of rescheduling should have been the least they should have offered me as I was even willing to wait for her. They did not allow me because they had other clients on schedule. I tried my best to relax but cold hands make it difficult. I made good comments about his attitude and he was courteous, polite and proffesional but as soon as I got in my car I felt my body worked on but not in place, very stressed, and in pain.Please note that my neck area was not addressed. My siatic nerve issue ( upper leg back was worked like within the last 5-10 minutes of the session.I am requesting a phone call from upper management to resolve this matter. I feel I was robbed of the opportunity of having the best massage in the right hands and I am willing to have HSM redeem its reputation.These feedbacks are very useful and very powerful, I truly hope my next review can be so positive that it can be accompanied by five stars!!!Awaiting........I will post when I get a response.This will show HSM cares for their clients and stands behind what they teach their students.Thanks,Ms. Herrera

I used to come here regularly but they really went down in quality and they increased their price! I know they are all still students but I feel like last time I went I left more knotted up then I came in. You are better off paying the extra $10 and going to a professional.

This place is really fake on teaching students and they really dont do anything but take your money stay away from this place. You ll never find a job when you graduate youll give up becuz they dont prepare you to past the test other than take your Money and your time.

I graduated from HSM in 2011 and I recommend it to everyone I know! I can honestly say that I learned so much there and the instructors are very dedicated to creating the best therapists in all of Houston. This was an amazing school to be a part of.Ive gone many times to get massages from the internship program and I have loved every one. The building and rooms are all very clean and neat, and the atmosphere very relaxing. The massages have always been very good. And you cannot beat the prices! 5 stars from me!

The male massage therapists who gave a terrible, uncompassionate, and non beneficial massage were not friendly nor impressive. My daughter went to grad school for massage in long island, ny and she knew right away that the massage was bad. Either they did not understand english, which i doubt, they were just going through the motions. Do not come here the woman in charge said someone would be calling us the next day to get a better massage therapist, but nobody ever called!!! I wasted 70.00 and i want my time and money back!!! Rogue scammers!

My experiences with Houston School of Massage has been nothing short of awesome. Every student that I have gotten massages from have been very professional and knowledgeable. I have never received what I would consider a “bad massage” from any student at HSM. I have had massages from professional that did not hold a candle to the HSM students. When I schedule an appointment I always ask for someone who can apply deep pressure and the staff always gives me honest recommendations.From the front office to the back, service is always professional and considerate. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY MASSAGE/SPA/ETC.....Got this as a gift for fathers day, from my wife and daughter. What a JOKE and not FUNNY HA HA THERE IS A DEFINITE LANGUAGE BARRIER HERE!!!!! I explained what i wanted to the receptionist, on their pain body sheet and to the masseuse who read that i wanted a DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE, but then explained that she would do her best but didnt know if it would be effective because they were students. This should have been first seen by office management personnel looking at my sheet to set me up with a student qualified to give me the treatment that i had i requested and paid for. She took off my glasses (i am almost legally blind nearsighted -7.5 / -8.0 in my eyes) and placed them down in the room. Now about 15 - 20 minutes into the massage, the masseuse asked me to get up and cloth myself and she ran out of the room. I fumbled around the room naked looking for my lenses, and after finding them clothed myself, and proceeded to call out for anyone to help me, and find out what had happened. As i walked to the front desk I am told by the instructor/manager that i was acting inappropriately on the table. Needless to say, I have never been so Humiliated, Embarrassed, and appalled by such an accusation in my LIFE. I will not be back and RECOMMEND that you do not either!!!

The skill level can sometimes be hit or miss, but the worst massage Ive gotten here is better than most Ive gotten at the massage envys and massage heights.
