Dr. Panzer and his staff are excellent and caring. I had previous appointments with several eye doctors because my eyes were red and painful. Those doctors tried many things but my eyes were still red. I decided to go to Dr. Panzer because my husband said he had helped him and his mother. Dr. Panzer spent so much time examining and re-examining my eyes and then said he seemed to see a tear in my left eye and suggested a retinal specialist. Dr. Panzer actually wrote a two page report about my visit so the other doctor would know what to do. I have never had a doctor write such a detailed report before, or even write a report to give me. I was so appreciative for his referral and that report. The retinal specialist said I could have lost the site in my eye had I not gone in when I did. No other doctor I saw had mentioned a tear. I am very thankful I listened to my husband and saw Dr. Panzer because his exam saved my sight.

Wish I would have come to Dr. Panzer years ago. Other doctors whose treated me for Keratoconus did not have my best interest At heart, continued to have me try things only to have me come back to get more glasses and try more hard contacts that only irritated my eyes after so long. Never telling me what caused my eyesight to get worse over the years. With one visit with Dr. Panzer was able to get the right prescription to stop all my sight problems. With these new contacts, I can see as clear as ever and the hard contacts are extremely comfortable and I don’t even feel them. No irritation or discomfort. I recommend anyone with Kerotoconus to Dr.Panzer, you will not be disappointed!!!

Great experience. Dr Panzer has an excellent staff and he provided a great deal of personal attention. He fitted me with my first bifocal contacts, the first time they ever worked for me. I have been dealing with my eye condition for a few years. I previously went to another specialist who really didn’t understand the lenses were difficult to put in and I could not wear them more than two hours. It was a painful experience. Then I found this doctor read all of the reviews I called and not only did he answer I felt like I was talking to a relative. There was no wait to setting up an appointment. The front desk staff as well as Dr. Panzer were a joy and a delight! The front desk staff was friendly, thorough and effectively communicated times and dates or instructions from the doctor. Dr. Panzer is extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable, dedicated to his work and dedicated to helping others. I experienced sudden symptoms of dry eye back in a October of 2020 and have been going back and forth to the ophthalmologist in Corpus Christi for help. Needless to say my experience was not pleasant or effective. I am super happy to have driven out to Houston. His treatments for my dry eye have been much more effective. I am still having some issues with my dry eye symptoms but they have been lessened 70-75% compared to the treatments I received in Corpus Christi. If I have to drive 200 miles to receive better care for my eyes I will do so in a heartbeat, and Dr. Panzer is the kind of guy I’d make that drive for.

I was referred by a friend to his clinic because I was having excruciating pain in my left eye. On May 13th 2021 I went to him knowing that I had Kerataconus bit was not expecting what he was going to tell me. I had a broken cornea. I knew I had this disorder but didnt know how bad it could get. Dr. Panzer not only gave me the most information about what I have he also prescribed some drops for me and suggested things I can do in order to see again. I would be legally blind and on disability without his passion to help me see out of my good eye (my right eye). He is a great doctor that really provides the best service that I could ask for. And his staff is very nice polite and courteous too. I am so impressed with all of them and I thank them so much for the care they give to me. Always be a pleasure to come back.

I met Dr. Panzer recently through a Dry Eye Facebook group that I was in. He has helped me more than any of the four doctors that I’ve been seeing to try and figure out why I keep having chronic inflammation which includes infection coming from my eyes. All of the doctors just keep saying I have dry eyes and they all do what they all do which most times does not help. Dr. Panzer has taken a lot of time to reach out to me on his own to help me come to a conclusion as to why this keeps occurring. This man is the real deal when it comes to finding answers to your eye issues. He is very passionate about what he does and wants successful outcomes for all of his patients. I have been going to Dr. To Dr. and no one could or would help me. After one visit with Dr. Panzer I can see after almost 9 years of not being able to see. I got home and had an emotional break when I realized how much of life I was missing. Such a blessing!

I rarely give 5-stars -- I reserve such a rating for the truly exceptional experience. I had been having a chronic problem of what looked like acne on my face for a long time. I thought, Rosacea, but when I looked for solutions, they were mainly tied to diet -- what I eat. I cut back on the usual suspects with no results. My eye doctor got concerned (rosacea can cause eye problems) and sent me to Dr. Panzer. I have had two Intense Pulsed Light treatments to attack the core issue rosacea -- mites, not diet -- and Dr. Panzer recommended a cleansing protocol to help the healing process. I noticed a significant reduction in rosacea bumps after the first treatment followed it with four weeks of good cleansing practices before my second IPL treatment, a couple of days ago. I continue to see improvement and further reduction of the bumps. This is still the best my complexion has looked in a long time. Grateful for my eye doctor being aware, and grateful that he knew Dr. Panzer. Dr. Panzer has been great in helping me understand that from which I am suffering and understand the therapeutic protocol. I drive a little over 40 miles to see him, and it is worth the effort.

I have had keratoconus for a long time. Ive seen 3 different doctors and they didnt help me, I went to dr. PANZER and explain my situation. I advised him I cant do contact, the stranger thing is one eye is near sighted, the other is far sighted. (Aint that weired) i wanted to be able to see with glasses. Im skeptical about the surgery right now , but eventually I will need to. He told me he would do his best. This doctor took his time, which showed me he cares. I picked up my glasses a week later and wow. I CAN SEE BETTER NOW.The staff are friendly as well.I want to thank you dr. To begin with, the location of Dr. Panzers clinic is super convenient with plenty of parking. Inside waiting area is spacious and not crowded. I was taken in on time for my appointment. I found Dr. Panzer and his staff to be knowledgeable, efficient and helpful.

I was suffering from debilitating dry eye. I could barely leave my house and drive the pain was so severe. I had seen multiple different specialists and still nothing was working. Dr. Panzer fit me in bandage lenses right away and it has made a world of difference. I am able to actually work and leave my house again. I saw Dr. Panzer for the first time about 8 years ago. I was undergoing cancer treatment and felt like the chemotherapy was affecting my vision. Dr. Panzer was very kind, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable and saw me and my family.Recently, I had another visit with Dr. Panzer where he did a thorough exam and checked for dry eye. I was so impressed with the top-of-the-line technology that he continues to invest in for his clinic to make accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for his patients. Unfortunately, many optometry clinics and hospitals dont invest in the technology that Dr. Panzer has invested in. Yes, these devices are expensive purchases for a clinic, but Dr. Panzer believes in providing the best for his patients. Dr. Panzer personally helps you pick the style of glasses for you, makes them for you in the clinic himself, and then helps adjust them for you. Many other clinics send out glasses to be made, but Dr. Panzer is hands-on and does it himself! My Lindberg glasses are perfect and I get so many compliments on them -- and, of course, I can see so clearly now! Later on, I decided I wanted to add blue light filtering lenses, and Dr. Panzer ordered them for me right away; they turned out perfect! From beginning to end, Dr. Panzer is involved in all aspects of patient care.I am now in California, but I come to Houston to see Dr. Panzer and he is always so accommodating to my schedule, which I sincerely appreciate. I have also heard about other patients that either move to other states or different parts of Houston or Texas and still come back to see Dr. Panzer.Once you find an optometrist as experienced and knowledgeable as Dr. Panzer, you wont want to go to another optometrist again and you are more than willing to travel from afar to see him. I have been receiving treatment for dry eye and light sensitivity for almost one year. My treatment involved going to several different ophthalmologists, trying all kinds of prescription drugs (Xiidra, steroid eye drops, etc.) and OTC products. My dry eye kept getting worse and my light sensitivity had become so painful that it was difficult for me to leave the house, drive or go into Costco, Walgreens, Galleria or anywhere that had bright fluorescent lighting.By the time I found Dr. Panzer, I was in tears due to my severe eye pain and light sensitivity. I literally had to hold my eyelid open to see. His staff had to help guide me into an examining room. When I told Dr. Panzer what I was experiencing, he shook his head and told me that my symptoms were obvious enough that he could have diagnosed my condition over the phone.By the time I left his office, the pain was gone. He answered all my questions, explained my conditions to me and we came up with plan for my recovery. I know that it may take some time but I am very optimistic that Dr. Panzer will be able to help me feel even better.On top of his incredible expertise as a doctor, he is a very kind, friendly, professional and caring person. Very productive visit. I have been suffering from dry eyes for many years, but my regular ophthalmologist was not able to offer anything helpful. After a few years of my family and I getting the eye care from Dr Panzer, Im very disappointed of the craftsmanship of my latest prescription glasses,that,after waiting for a month and not receiving an update, and decided to pick a different frames.I wish I would have gotten a call from him to let me know that the frames that I picked would not work with the lenses, instead I got a prescription glasses.Where the lenses don’t sit on the frame because the curb of lens.

Dr. Panzer is one of the few doctors in the area that utilizes IPL as a dry eye treatment. After trying several different treatments/doctors he is the one that has made a difference with my dry eye symptoms by using IPL with his unique technique. He is very thorough and stays up to date on new and relevant research. He is also very honest and won’t make you waste time and money on treatments that offer only a temporary solution.

From the first time I walked into the office, I was handled with care. I’ve purposely avoided eye care due to other doctors not getting it right, not being patient, etc. Dr. Panzer has been patient, friendly and is staff is superb. I got my hard contacts and he measured these contacts down to the T! I haven’t had great vision in 2 years! Look out cars lol I can now see!!

Nobody was helpful with dry eye condition after 4 eye surgeries for droopy eye, cataract, and lens transplant in a 2 year period. Exceptional ophthalmologist, plastic surgeon and numerous optometrist, but no help until Dr. Panzer provided an extremely helpful recommendation. I cant say THANK YOU enough to Dr. Panzer. He is a GOD SEND!! Im a repeat customer but have been away several years. Dr. Panzer treated me for dry eye and I did well. Two years ago everything changed with my eyes and things fell apart quickly. I was told about this other doctor whom I decided to go see. HUGE MISTAKE!! I should have gone back to Dr. Panzer. This other doctor cauterized my tear ducts and punctured the meibomian glands then provided me with compounded drops that I found out are not good for you. All of these things were supposed to help my eyes. WRONG!!! Here I am 2 yrs later with the same issue!! All I can say is Im so glad that I went back to Dr. Panzer. Once again, he has me on the right path to healing. My eyes feel so much better...Ive not felt this way in 2 yrs of suffering. If you are ever on the fence about anything with your eyes, PLEASE go see Dr. Panzer. Dont wait or go to someone else like I did. I know I wont make that mistake again!! I’ve had this medical condition called “Keratoconus” for years and years which I had gone to numerous doctors and all they did were prescribed me with some “most-advanced” scleral lenses which didn’t even fit my eyes well ... Eventually, all they wanted to do was to perform this procedure called “cross-linking” .... No... I didn’t want to get that done on my eyes before the procedure is scientifically proven and almost 100 % effective ... However, they kept pushing for it to be done aka big money for them.... so I decided to go see Dr. Panzer .... you know ... The moment I sat down and had him go over my eye condition to evaluate, I realized that THIS IS THE DOCTOR I NEED IN MY LIFE for my EYES... He doesn’t sugarcoat anything ... He says as he sees and as It is... he doesn’t lie or exaggerate..... To make a long story short, I NOW have better eye vision than EVER. He made me able to see everything so MUCH BETTER. The scleral lenses that Dr.Panzer prescribed me fit PERFECT for my eyes. They feel comfortable and I don’t feel them at all while I wear them. No more bloody-shot eyes. No more pains when I take them off at night. Thank you Dr.Panzer for your professional help and I am very happy to say that I not only saved a thousands and thousands of dollars on this “procedure” that wasn’t even needed for my eyes (which was ordered by other doctors I’d seen in the past), but also I AM NO LONGER BLIND !!!! Urgent care referred me here for what that doctor considered a possible serious situation. After examining me with really cool state of the art equipment and a good old fashioned eye exam, my eyes have been declared good to go and I am so relieved!! Dr. Panzer is extremely well educated and current in his field, his office is stocked with the latest equipment and style of frames. I called to schedule an appointment thinking it would be the usual 2 weeks out, but they had availability the next day. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I was offered snacks and beverages while i filled out my new patient forms and the office was very clean and comfortable. I concur with many other reviews, Dr. Panzer has to be one of the best optometrists in town. I feel certain he can treat any condition I have in the future with great insight and ingenuity.

I have an eye condition that causes my corneas to deteriorate slowly over time creating distorted vision(Kertaconus). I have tried numerous eye doctors, eye clinics, lasik eye institute even a corner trial transplant to try to just help my vision get some what better. To no avail, I was getting the same answers, we cant help your vision but we can help you see through glasses better than what you see now. From 2007 all the way to 2014 I was fighting this battle that I knew little about and soft contacts were a No-Go as well. During that 2014 year, I went to Dr. Panzers office just to support a friend who had been going for some time and my vision changed forever. He was the first optomoligist to take the time and had patience with me to show me that there was another way to see without glasses or costly surgeries. What I love about his approach was that I was a challenge and he did not back down even after normal business hours. Dr. Panzer too my vision to where my normal life is not slighted by sight anymore. Today I am still a patient and HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone with Kertaconus or know some with an eye condition that limits their vision to stop by, make an appointment, or just have a talk with Dr. Panzer about his vision expertise and you will become a patient too. I purchased my first pair of contacts from this guy, and will continue to go to his office for my vision needs. #1INHOUSTON

This week coming up makes it a year ago that I had no idea why my child was so ill. We had visited countless doctors, made phone calls, ER visits, looking for direction and advice, filled with confusion it was for sure a miracle, that I found him! It felt like a miracle that he DIRECTLY took my phone call!!! Dr Panzer guided us and advised me on exactly what needed to be done and why!!!! His advice was so important to my childs well being. HE was the ONLY one who KNEW what was going on. Priceless and caring! I cant begin to explain how much his knowlegde and caring heart has blessed our family and helped our child. Its taken me a year to write this review because of the gravity of the situation we had last year and the magnitude of appreciation I have for Dr. Panzer, that I needed this time to fully explain why I give 5 stars. He even followed up to see if my child was improving and receiving the care they needed!! Thank you Doctor!!!!!

I was in a one week visit to Houston coming from Chile. I did not think that was going to be possible to get my new scleral contact lenses in such a short time. Dr Panzer and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. I realized how dedicated he is taking care of every detail and double and triple checking that everything was perfect. I am very satisfied with the results. Now I prefer travel to Houston and see Dr Panzer so I will definitely come back.

She broke her glasses over the weekend and had state tests on Monday.
