Excellent experience! The staff and Dr. Amelia Holbrook were kind, caring and professional. Covid procedures in place and taken seriously. The technician was thorough and explained every aspect of the process. I was impressed with the Digital Retinal Imaging. Dr. Holbrook showed me the pictures that were taken and explained them completely. Absolutely fascinating images. She also explained which eyeglasses and contact lenses were best for my vision. They absolutely ensure the best vision possible. Ive never had a prescription fit this well. I highly recommend them to everyone. Next years exam is already on my calendar!

Set an appointment online which was immediately confirmed. I arrive 30 minutes early in order to fill out new patient paperwork only to be told that my children will have to wait in the car!? My daughter was a in a strollers! She 10 months! How dare you even suggest a thing. I know it was because I’m a black man with dreads and tattoos for a fact. If I wasn’t allowed to bring my kids that should have been made clear before I arrived when u spoke with you multiple times prior. Then as I’m leaving what do I see? A nice little white lady with her kid. Do you think they suggested he kid sit in the car?! Never again

Dr. Kim and her staff were remarkable! First off Dr. Kim had calmed me down with my super bad anxiety regarding the eye dilation drops. Dr. Kim was very patient, sweet, caring & especially knowledgeable! She knew exactly what she was talking about and I felt at ease! Mrs. Olga in the front desk area helped me pick out a great frame for my huge head/wide head. Olga was also very knowledgeable and kind! They will continue to have my business!

As a long time patient, Dr. Hemani and the staff at Memorial Eye have been fantastic. Everyone is always friendly, courteous, and respectful and when I moved an hour further away and tried another optometrist, I ended up coming right back here for the top notch care and experience provided by the team.Thankfully Im closer again and even though the name has changed the service is just as good as before.

If possible, Id give 0 stars. Stopped in with my wife on a Saturday, they couldnt see me then because they were booked solid. OK no problem, when is a good time to come in when its not so busy? Tuesday at 10:20am should be an excellent time. So, after being turned away once, I return on Tuesday a few minutes late for my appointment. Ive already filled out all new patient paperwork, insurance information etc. It was supposed to be a walk-in and get it done appointment. I had just enough time before work to stop in and get this taken care of.Unfortunately I was told to wait until another patient was seen before me. I obviously cant wait for this, because Ive literally scheduled this into my already busy day. Its hard to fathom how I walked out of that clinic twice with no service. Absolutely horrible scheduling, NPC level employees who cant find solutions to simple problems, and to top it all off, nothing will likely be done to fix the problems. There are tons of providers out there who will actually see you if youre a bit late, and dont schedule patients on top of each other. Please take my advice and search elsewhere for a provider. No matter what canned response they post below, it didnt get taken care of.Called it, there is the canned response they give to every negative review. You cant give me back the time, or the effort it took to free up that time, or relieve the frustration your employees have caused. Ive been wronged by your business. Not repeating the same mistake. My money is going elsewhere.

I have always had positive experiences with Dr. Amelia and the Wilcrest Memorial Eye staff and going to this “new” Westchase office (Royal Oaks) did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. As always Dr. Amelia was very engaging with encouraging questions as she explained my tests results.But with the acquisition of more offices it is confusing to give the name Westchase to the new office in Royal Oaks Shopping Center only rename the original Westchase Wilcrest.

Service is always great and I have never had any issues with the staff in the past 10 years that I have been with them

I have been to this Eye Center for years and the staff that I deal with have always been kind and made the examination and choosing frames really simple. Lastly, Dr. Hemani is amazing, caring, patient person who just wants the best for her patients. Other than that I honestly cant think of anyway else to describe her.

Dr. Hemani is the best eye doctor I have found in Houston in over 20 years. Ive been seeing her for over ten....her team are the absolute best, and I am a difficult patient. They have always made sure my glasses are perfect.

Ive been coming here for years! The doctor is so amazing and friendly. The only issues are the selection of frames and a few not as helpful staff members. The aforementioned is not a huge issue. They cant satisfy everyone and you only have so much space for frames. But it would more convenient if I didnt have to shop for frames separately. Relative to the staff, most are really great, only a few give off an energy like youre bothering them asking questions or if youre trying to resolve an issue. All in all I still love this practice.

I am disappointed with what I got, and am still using my old glasses for work. I decided taping them would be better than using the new glasses.On the initial visit , I brought in my trusty work glasses that i had been using for 2 years. I wanted something similar in comfort that helps me see. I understand our eyes change , and we need different prescriptions eventually. I told them I work with computers, so i have to have glasses to read the screens. That these are my Work Glasses.From the get go , they did not want to look at my glasses. They put me through routines, doctor checked my eyes.. the room was so dark i could not see clearly when asked ‘1 or 2’.. and i got the feeling the lady Dr was annoyed with me . after sitting by myself for about 10 minutes, they returned and i tried again to show them my work glasses saying i want a similar prescription/ lenses etc. They said sure, then let me pick out a frame. the selection was very minimal, and i have a wide face. So i picked the closest i could find that would fit, and they still are small on my face.AFTER the payment was done, i was THEN informed i would have to wait 2 weeks. no mention of this before the payment.When i ended up calling them back in 2 week, they were like ‘oh yea they have been ready’. Wth?When i get there, the lady insisted they would make good dailies and i should wear them out.... and sure enough i was able to.. like, these are not reading glasses, they are all day glasses..?When i used them at work, i find that i was actually not able to see as good as my last pair. I had to strain my eyes and move closer to the screen in order to see. I have since re-taped my old pair and am currently using them for work.To top it off, the case i got to store the new pair in was /is junk. It does not even fit the glasses i got, which happened to be the ‘largest’ they had... and still dont fit my face as they are tight.My experience with this Memorial Eye Center was not pleasant. When i went to a big name brand store, i got 2 pairs of glasses for the same price as Memorial Eye Center, and i was able to pick up in an hour after visit. I dont think I would go back go Memorial Eye Center.

The staff was ok but I got burned at the end when they Charged me $110 for “contact fitting” which seemed like a normal part of my comprehensive eye exam. At no point did anyone tell me that they were providing additional services not covered by insurance. How is any patient supposed to know stuff like that unless you tell them? I don’t like being deceived like that so will not come back.

Not Welcoming at All. I called in the morning to make an appointment to shop for another pair of glasses. I arrived and they just were not ready or wanted to welcome me. I asked about my prescription from another Memorial Eye location. They were hesitant and told me they were not associated with them right now. I continued to look at glasses and was made to feel like I was a bother. No hospitality. I know this is the age of Covid-19 but you should make your patients feel invited and want them to feel welcomed. That is not the case here. I left after a few minutes.

They have greatest customer. They were very polite and answered all of my questions and made sure everything was clear. I would advise everyone if you need glasses to go there. Their prices are very responsible. Thank you Eye Trend

Ive been going here for several years. The standard of care is excellent. Dr. Hemani has helped me through some rather severe eye issues and always makes sure they are resolved and check ups after treatment are timely. The entire staff here is friendly and helpful. All the Personnel are so very pleasant. I went in asking how much it would cost for new lenses in my existing frames and it took them just a moment or two to tell me. I thought it was a very fair price so I went ahead and left my frames and ordered my new lenses.

So this is was my first time ever going to an optometrist for a check up. Not only did everyone there make me feel welcomed, the optometrist was very informative! I left out with a lot of good advice plus my vision is still great which is good to know! The office is very quiet and relaxing! The location is convenient for those that stay in the Alief area. You won’t regret your visit!

I am extremely upset with the way this location works. I went in on Jan 3rd to get an exam and choose some glasses. Everything went great with the exam that day. It is now Jan 21 and still no glasses. The times Ive called they put me on hold to the point my phone hung up, they would tell me when they arrive id get a call all with an attitude. well I called again and turns out they had to order me new lenses and NEVER thought of calling me to make me aware of the situation. I am not sure if this is true or just something more to keep me waiting but I am highly upset. I got another estimate date of Friday or Monday. I guess we shall see what Friday or Monday of what week it will be. After I pick them up that will be the last time this establishment gets my business. Extremely Disappointing!!!!

My appointment time is always prompt. I always come away learning more about the health of my eyes. There is a level of respect that extends from not only how the staff treat each as well as myself as a patient. I keep coming back because I never question the level of care as each test is well thought out.

My experience here today was truly awesome! Such a beautiful place. The staff are all truly amazing. This was my first visit here. It was EXCELLENT!!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly staff that were well versed in my benefit plan(s). From there I had some initial tests done and the lady was patient, funny and also took the time to explain the function each one. Then I was ushered in to see the eye doctor. She was WONDERFUL! She was very knowledgeable...kind but she also spoke matter factly and I find this essential when it comes to eye care. At the end of my visit, this AWESOME staff helped me get most from my benefit plan(s), showed me how to save the most money and still get quality. They even informed that I could get a rebate on my contacts! This is definitely mine and my familys new place for eye care. If you havent been, you should.

I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly for an eye infection. I called around lunch and they were able to see me that same day. I was in and out in no time! Dr. Hemani is very personable and friendly. I am definitely making this my go to spot for my annual eye check up.

We are from out of town and visiting the area. Friday evening my 6 year olds eye was hurting. We initially thought it was allergies. By Saturday morning I knew he must have scratched it. I called their office at 8:30 am to see if they could help him. By 9:30 I was in their office and being seen by the doctor. She was fantastic! She was able to look at his eye, and put a contact in to help it! We had a follow up with our eye doctor at home today. My sons eye is perfect. He was amazed they got the contact in!!!! Thank you so very much for your compassion and help with my boy.

Great service and helped me through every step of getting contacts for the first time. I myself felt the price was a bit too much just to try on contacts but I dont know how much it is elsewhere. I paid 92 for that and this is after a 15% discount due to insurance.

I am currently living in Kansas temporarily. I made an appointment to get an exam during a weekend that I would be visiting. The Saturday appointments are so convenient. I also didnt want to to another optometrist in Kansas. Eye Trends has my history & therefore can properly assist me without all of the follow up appointments & additional exams.

Staff is pleasant and helpful. Doctor is rude and condescending. Once she realized that I was getting upset with her, she started saying things like, We want you to be happy so that you come back. She says things and doesnt realize what she is saying and when you question her, she says, thats not what I said! I have to go pick up my lenses and will not return. The 3 stars are for the staff.

I have been coming to this office for the past 3 years and the service is always friendly, fast and professional. The doctor is very knowledgeable and I love that she takes the time to explain exactly whats occurring inside your eye.

Horrible experience here...I have never felt this way about an Optometrist, and I have worn glasses and contacts since I was elementary school.They overcharged me for my toric lens fitting and billed the same amount to my insurance company. I called my insurance company, and they said that they should not have charged me the amount that they did for my fitting because my insurance covers it. My insurance company told me to go back and demand a refund for the extra charges. They refused because that’s what it costs for a ‘new customer.’ I paid over $200 out of pocket for my glasses and contact prescription that should have been $35 with my insurance co-pays. They also told me it would only be $35 right before I went into the room for my eye exam. They pressured me into buying contacts and glasses from them and pressured me to do alternative tests in order to evaluate if my eyes are healthy outside of my regular dilation that was normal. What kind of BS is that? I had to tell Dr. Hemani in the middle of my exam that I am not buying anything extra so she can just finish my exam so I can leave. I used to pay less for an out of a pocket visit in another city. I would not recommend this place. I recently had my eye exam at another company, and I ONLY paid for my co-pays, not a dime more. A year later and I’m still upset they would take advantage of someone.

I went to eye trends for a contact lens exam in March and I had a great experience. The staff and doctor were all so friendly and nice. I purchased a pair of glasses I love! I already have my annual exam appointment set up for next year.

Fantastic! They were so friendly and willing to explain anything i had questions about. Dr. Hemani even taught me a better way to answer the eye exam (she said when you look too much between the options people tend to overfocus and mess up their actual numbers); that was so cool and interesting! I never knew that before. I will definitely be coming here again :)

Doc is very competent and effecient. Selection of frames excellent and bigger than almost all other places I visited in area. I just changed from my prior doc and I plan on staying here as the service I received was very good. Had to go back for an adjustment on my new frames but staff very helpful. Got myself new prescription sunglasses, so cool and they have good selection. Cant wait to start wearing on golf course!

Dr Hemani and staff are wonderful - I have never been disappointed with the service! Dr Hemani has worked with me on my dry eye condition which was a result of eye rim surgery in 2010. She has always been very patient and attentive during my appointments. The staff are helpful and friendly whether you have insurance questions, are looking for new eyeglass frames or checking out at the front desk.
