We have seen Dr. Shurm at the Atascocita location for several years. He helped our son through son through some challenging changes. Now that weve moved we were looking for someone just as up to the challenge as Dr. Shurm.We went to a few other locations and came back to Berkeley. We found Dr. G. here at the Champions location. Our son seemed to really take to him and he is just as invested in his vision as we are. So I guess Berkeley is the right center for us!

I have been going to this location for quite a few years. I always feel so comfortable there, everyone is so friendly. Doctor is very thorough, and friendly makes me feel at ease.

These people are not considerate of your time or issues. They make you wait over an hour after your appointment time to be even seen. The front staff are pretty rude and condescending.

I transfered voluntarily from avery eye clinics care on a recommendation from a famy member and I am so happy I did. The friendly staff, easy scheduling, availability and professionalism I have experienced so far between two different locations from champions to the woodlands is second to none.

My visit was initially for contact lenses but because my eyes were irritated it became a visit for eye irritation. I always have a GREAT experience when I visit. Dr. Gloyd and the staff are always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Even though this office is about 20 miles from my home I wouldnt go anywhere else.

We arrived a little early and only waited 5 mins to be seen. Very friendly and fast workers.

I had my first eye exam, after wearing the same glasses for years, a couple of months ago. Even though it was during the height of Covid everyone was professional, kind and accommodating. I will definitely will be back.

My new go to place for eye health and care and was impressed with the provider on how he treats and communicates with patients. Would have given a 5, however, my first name was misspelled on my vision scripts which should have been caught by staff since (attention to detail) they scanned both my ID and insurance card with correct spelling. Had to call to get my name corrected to avoid problems with delayed claim payment.

Saw Dr Gloyd and Samoan. Both were awesome. It was my first visit and I will be back!

So I dont know how I feel about my experience, about a month ago I was recommended to this office. When I went to front desk of course I was asked to provide my insurance and DL, the lady then hands me a paper that stated I needed to call the number on paper because they could not access my benefits since I was previously seeing another office. The paper had instructions for the office to call not me, So I called and the operator was asking information of the office which obviously I dont know. Daniel who is amazing and helped me pick out my glasses saw me calling and told me not to worry about it that he would call, took him less then 5 minutes to get it taken care of. So it comes to when someone wants to do their job and help it makes a difference, very happy with Daniel but not with the lady at front desk.

I recently had Cataract Surgery and Berkeley Eye Center is by far the Best facility for Eye Care. The Staff are extremely nice and very helpful. I prayed for a doctor of Faith and my Prayers were answered with Dr. Matthew McCauley. He was removing a cataract from my only seeing eye and I was really scared. He said a Prayer for me before my surgery that gave me Great Comfort and Peace. I was sleep before my knock out medicine. Thank You Dr. McCauley for the Prayer and for the Greatest Gift I ever received, my eyesight.Everything looks Great !!!

I would give them a higher score but there’s this one employee that’s responsible for this bad review her name is Tina. I’ve been twice to this office and every body is nice and polite but her, she doesn’t ask you politely she DEMANDS YOU to do things and after talking to another employee this behavior is allowed by her boss because this is not the first time clients complaint about her attitude and she hasn’t changed. Hopefully this time they do something about or I will take my business to another office...

I am a long time patient of Dr. Roosevelt Gloyd III and followed him to his new office location her in Champions. The service is always prompt, impeccable and most of all, caring. All of the staff are friendly. Even though this is far from my home, the care is worth the drive.

I recently had my eye exam at this location and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, attentive, and anticipated my needs and questions. Dr. Gloyd was thorough and professional. The manager, Karen, runs a first class operation. There’s a relaxed cozy family friendly feel, combined with an efficient approach which was respectful of my time. I encourage anyone looking for an eye doctor to visit this office.

I have been coming to Berkley Eye Center since, 2007 with my oldest daughter. We were recommended by my best friend who had been a patient since childhood. The service within this practice is nothing but five star treatment and the hospitality awesome! The staff and physicians are all knowledgeable, caring, and professional individuals. I wish more businesses would take a lesson from Berkeley Eye Center on what it means to have great customer service.

I had been looking for a vision center for quite some time and after hearing the commercial on the radio, I decided to give this location a try. This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a vision center. There was essentially no wait time, the staff was phenomenal (very friendly, down to earth, approachable), the doctor was very experienced, and Ashley Hall was the best. I cant really see well without glasses and contacts and I had my eyes dilated as I was picking out frames for my glasses, I told Ashley that I trusted her opinion to find the right frames because I couldnt see a thing and boy did she deliver. She was very patient with me as I tried on at least 20 different frames, and the way she enlisted the help of her coworkers to help with the final decision and their willingness to help was a true display of teamwork. Im so glad I picked this office. I give them a 5 star rating and would recommend my family and friends.

LOVED everything about this place. From scheduling an appointment, to walking out with glasses that I LOVED. Super friendly staff and Dr. Gloyd was efficient and helpful. Ms. Beverly made sure I was taken care of before, during and after my appointment to get my prescription. Then to pick my frames Alberto was the GREATEST at helping me pick a frame that fit my face in the style I was going for. Upon pick up of my glasses- Ms. Ashley helped to make sure they werent too tight behind my ears and sat correctly on my face.AGAIN - local, convenient, and great customer service! I cant highlight enough that this is the place you need to visit for your eye care.

My entire family goes to Berkeley at Champions! The staff is super friendly, helpful, and prompt! The optometrist was very thorough and the took time to answer tons of questions about my daughters change in vision. They also have a wide variety of frames and wonderful people to help you pick out just the right pair!

Dr. Reid and the staff are always very professional, well informed, and easy to talk to. Always a pleasure dealing with them. The office hours are a bit short so check/call before you go if you dont have an appointment. They are only open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, Google didnt seem to know that.

They took the time to explain my benefits to me and to make sure I received the most out of my vision benefits while also helping me to save money by looking for rebate opportunities on my contact lenses. Ive been going to Berkeley Eye Center since 2009 and I am always please after my visits. The clinic recently moved to a new location and is nicely remodeled. The staff is extremely kind and helpful to whatever needs you have and will work with you 100% to find the best options for you! On my recent visit to the Champions office I was once again reminded of why I really like this group. I was worried that perhaps the COVID protocols might take away from the welcoming atmosphere that I have loved about this office for the past four years. Even though we were all masked like bank robbers, social distancing, and sanitizing our hands, the women at the front desk were still welcoming, called me by my name, and were patient as always. I can not imagine any health person or anyone having to wear that mask all day and still be civil, let alone nice. They Were all of those things and more. Paperwork was easy and in the back, Dr. Gloyd was his usual professional and informative doctor self. And, I can not say enough about Ashley who works the optician portion. She takes great care to find the right glasses that fits ones physical characteristics, she tries to talk to find out about ones personality. Last year, when I needed new frames and she was on leave, I went someplace else. BTW: the glasses I had to settle for will be a memory in about two week. Its like being at a hometown eye doctor in the heart of FM 1960. Give them a try! Youll see what Its all about.

This was my second visit to Berkeley Eye Center. The first experience was great, I thought I had finally found the right eye care facility. However, my most recent experience, changed my opinion. First, I received an invoice in the mail from Berkeley for a balance paid at the time of my visit. Second, when I received my glasses the lenses were not correct. The customer service to correct the problem was insufficient. Everyone make mistakes, its how you handle the situation that makes the difference.

Great Doctors! Great Staff!Dr. Reid found that I had a partial retina detachment and was experiencing some systems that was causing him some concerns. His staff immediately sent me to a retina specialist who gave me laser treatments that took care of the problem.Thanks Berkeley Eye Center.

The staff were rude and inattentive. When I gave my insurance card to the receptionist she acted like she didnt believe that I had a vision plan. The lady who put in the order for my frames and lenses took far too much time and seemed to have no sense of urgency about taking care of my order. Then, my glasses took longer to arrive than promised. I am unhappy with the service I received. I will not be doing business with Berkeley Eye Center again. I will go to Lenscrafters in Willowbrook mall where they can get my glasses done in a few hours for cheaper and with better service.
