Dr. Shepard and the entire staff were wonderful. I was very anxious (in my 60s) as it was not a planned extraction. Dr. Shepard calmed my nerves and explained the entire process thoroughly. I had two wisdom teeth extracted. I followed his instructions and have completely healed. The surgery went extremely well with no issues. Thank you Dr. Shepard and staff! Y’all are the best.

I was recommended to Dr. Koo by my primary dentist. He performed my surgery at the beginning of September and it was an amazing experience. I got three wisdom teeth removed, removed a root canal and a cyst. The women who prepared me for surgery were very reassuring that surgery will go well because I was extremely nervous. They also, called the day after surgery to check on me and answer any extra questions that I had. I highly recommend this oral surgeon office they are a trustworthy option.

Dr. Koo extracted 1 tooth and did three implants. I had a free annual follow-up last week and am happy with the results. Beautifully done!It took almost 1 year: consultation, pre-op, extraction, implant surgery, after-care. The stuff is helpful and Dr. Koo is exceptional.One suggestion is to ask them to print out their “itemized statement” so you can match the insurance statement. It gets confusing.

To be very frank, I was dreading taking out all four of my wisdom teeth because of the pain associated with it according to many I knew. However, the procedure went super normally and I had not felt anything and just woke up. In the week after, I had never felt any pain from this entire process and was very satisfied with the direction and care given to me. Mr. Koo removed my four wisdom teeth, and I loved having the procedure at his facility. I love the staff at the office. They were so nice and friendly! I was nervous, and they did a great job talking me through it and making conversation to calm me down. When I was at the office, I remember getting the anesthetic and then sitting next to my boyfriend getting post-procedure instructions from the nurse. I still had a bit of pain a week later and was worried I had not taken care of my mouth properly. I was able to schedule an appointment that same day to figure out what was going on. Would recommend.I had all four wisdom teeth extracted without any complications, and they were careful not to do anything that might worsen my TMJ. Dr. Steven Koo performed surgery on my mouth to remove an abscess wisdom tooth. I sat in the operating chair for just a few minutes while an anesthetic IV was administered. I awoke about forty-five minutes later with the surgery completed. I did not experience any pain whatsoever, either during the surgery or at any time thereafter. Dr. Koo and his staff of nurses were exceptionally efficient and skillful. I commend them for a job well done.

Dr Shepherd was THE BEST! I have extreme anxiety and had been putting off my impacted wisdom tooth which kept getting infected for over 3 years. The staff are all friendly. No attitudes. You feel very well taken care of and in good hands. My veins are tiny and hard to find so I started to panic and then BOOM, I woke up and it was over in what seemed like 1 minute. I don’t even remember pain after. Just the first day after the medication wore off but I took my pain medicine and I slept like a baby. Fully healed and back to eating regularly in like two days I believe. I am so grateful I went to this place! No more wisdom tooth pain and I wish I would have gone sooner. Came in for wisdom extraction yesterday, reception staff were cool, nursing staff understanding and cool, dr. Shepard is an OG, man said he recommended we take out top and bottom third molars, being my first time fear made me hesitate but his professionalism gave me confidence so iwas like Ait,,,,didn’t feel a thing, what took maybe 45 min felt exactly as he said for me “a minute”,,,first day of recovery no pain meds, nothing compared to the whole week of suffering from an impacted 3rd molar WITH pain meds

I recently had 3 wisdom teeth removed and both appointments (The removal and follow up visit) were very quick and easy to manage. There were no issues with the removal and little to no pain in the following days. The medication given to me was very effective and had no impactful side effects. In the follow up appointment it was much more busy that day and after being shown into a room I did have to wait a bit, however once the doctor was there everything ran smoothly and was very quick. I would recommend this place for anyone considering it.

Prior to the surgery Dr koos office made sure i was not in pain and provided me with medication to keep me at bay until we could extract my teeth. post operation they made sure i was set with instructions and everything i need to take care of the surgical area. I visited Dr. Steve Koo at Piney Point earlier this summer to have all four of my impacted wisdom teeth removed, and I have to say it could not have gone better! This review should have been written 3 years ago when I had my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Koo. I was referred to him by my dentist and I could not have asked for a better doctor. I was incredibly hesitant to have them removed as I’m 30+ years old, wisdom teeth were impacted and my sister had a horrible experience with her surgery with a different doctor. Dr. Koo addressed my concerns and even took additional x-rays to see where my nerves were in relation to my wisdom teeth. I was scared of nerve damage and/or trismus. He assured me that I had nothing to worry about. Surgery went smoothly and though my recovery was slower than normal, every post-op appointment was great. The entire staff there is extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Koo. I am so grateful to have had him as my surgeon!

I went to Piney Point for my wisdom teeth surgery and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I was very nervous to have the teeth out but it went a lot better than I thought it would. Dr. Koo did a great job explaining what needed to be done and they were flexible in when I could schedule the surgery. I did have to reschedule at one point due to Covid-19 concerns in my personal life, and they handled everything very well.Day of surgery was great; everything was well-explained and the surgery went very well. Ive had very minimal pain and problems since the surgery, almost two weeks later. They provided helpful information on self-care for the days and weeks following the surgery. When I needed to find out some information late on the night of surgery, they made it easy to get into contact to get help. All the staff I spoke to were also very polite. Overall a very positive experience!

I would have to say I have very bad issues with anyone trying to fix teeth in my mouth, the staff and associates made me feel at home by talking me through the whole procedure and making me feel comfortable, after having three teeth removed, bone grafting and implants installed I would highly recommend them to any and everyone that has issues with having teeth fixed and or replaced.

We also verified that the whole team is taking all the precautions regarding the covid 19. Went to Dr. Koo to get 4 wisdom teeth extracted and it was overall a very smooth experience. On the first visit Dr. Koo explained the process and recovery very clearly to me which relieved any worries that I had. Day of the surgery I barely had to wait (which helped with the nerves) and along with anesthetic it felt like I was in and out in 10 minutes. Recovery the first few days was a little rough as expected but along with checkups and very clear instructions, I got through no problem. I recently had a wisdom tooth removed and it didnt goes as well as I had hoped. Dr. Koo could not find a vein in my right arm so I now have two very large bruises on my arm from numerous attempts. He was able to eventually locate one in my left arm. Post surgery I have a hole where the wisdom tooth was. Food is constantly getting lodged in it. I also have a large mound of what appears to be scar tissue on the inside of my jaw. Not sure why that is there. After a follow up with Dr. Koo I was informed that both of these are common and will go away. Wish I would have been informed of these possible issues before surgery. And I sure hope they go away. Not real happy.

I never waited a long time in the waiting room, the staff was so nice, and the week after my operation was virtually painless, (as painless as getting wisdom teeth removed can be!) Consultation and operation happened on the same day, and my post-operation visits was surprisingly quick, yet the information provided was still thorough and very understandable (instructions on how to take care, precautions, etc). This has been the best dental experience I have ever had. I get severe anxiety when I go for cleanings but the staff and Dr. Koo were so patient and professional from beginning to end. I started off with a wisdom teeth extraction consultation (getting all 4 removed) which is an x-ray and either Dr. will go through the process with you. After that they fit me in about 5 days later for the actual surgery. The worst part would have been the IV injection and that was nothing at all! The recovery was smooth and I only had puffy cheeks for about 5 days. No pain at all! Definitely referring all my friends and family here because I cannot imagine that any other office can do it better.

Already 10 days with a gaping hole in my gum where a tooth and crown had sheared off, and less than a week before I was due to leave for a trip of a lifetime running the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, Dr. Koo was able to fit me into his busy schedule. Dr. Koo and his staff, both front and back office, are extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and effective. My mother was referred to this office after her doctor tried to remove her teeth and her bone didnt want to let them go. ;-) They squeezed her in, immediately. She was sedated when we went and they followed protocol to an extraordinary degree to assure the absence or minimization of an adverse reaction to too much medication. We appreciate them! She was comfortable during prep, throughout the surgery and during healing. We will utilize this establishment again, should the need arise and will recommend them to those in need.

I just got 4 of my wisdom teeth out last week by Dr. Koo. The entire process from consultation to recovery was great. Consultation consisted of an x-ray and Dr. Koo going over the procedure, any risks involved, and answering any questions you might have. The procedure was quick and painless as I went under anesthesia. After the procedure, the nurse stays with you for some time to make sure you are okay and comfortable and Dr. Koo checks up on you before releasing you. The recovery instructions were clearly laid out on paper for you to take home and important to follow. A week later, I visited for a follow-up and recovery is going well. Throughout the entire process, my interactions with Dr. Koo were quick and to the point. Would highly recommend him if you need to get your wisdom teeth taken out!

Everything is perfect. Dr. Koo removed all four of my wisdom teeth and the procedure went very smooth. as well as my recovery process is great too.there is only one thing that I am kind of disappointed which is x-ray machine. I will recommend them to clean that machine frequently, because I believe that I saw some dust on it and made I very uncomfortable.

Dr. Koo and his attendants reassured me and made me feel comfortable, I was in the OR for 4 wisdom teeth extraction, and the moment he injected this syringe into my arm, i woke up feeling no pain, and the surgery was over. It felt like seconds. The nurses took good care of me while I was loopy, and allowed my driver to come in and watch over me as I regained my ability to maneuver. Overall, completely satisfied! I’m a 66 yo Type I diabetic so I’m very slow to heal. Dr. Koo extracted one of my molars and replaced it with an implant. Each step of the procedure was explained thoroughly. Dr. Koo asked me to come in for a check-up several times to check my healing process before proceeding to the next step. The extraction and implant process was nearly painless. The friendly and professional office staff also helped to make the entire experience very pleasant. Would highly recommend Dr. Koo.

If you need to have an implant, I strongly recommend Dr Koo and his staff for the service provided. This is my third implant at Piney Point office. After the surgery, I felt no pain and no swelling (if you follow the instructions) after several days. Dr Koo sure has cool hands on oral surgeries.
