I received a dental implant here a few days ago and let me tell you how amazing these people are. I was very nervous but everyone here worked to relax me. The entire process has been easy and organized so far! I didnt feel a thing and was entirely comfortable throughout. Ive only used pain medicine once since the procedure. Id highly recommend Dr. Koo and his amazing staff for your implant needs.

My dentist and I had talked about options for my problems with failing support for my teeth. They were very mobile and a few were not even attached to bone anymore. I felt that if I continued to have implants done one by one as needed, I would spend the rest of my life in the dental chair. We finally came to the conclusion that I needed to just do what had to be done which was full mouth implants and bone grafts. Dr. Koo was the only choice to do the surgery. Dr. Krell could not recommend him any higher. And he was right. Dr. Koo and Dr. Krell formulated a plan and I could NOT be happier with the result. Dr Koo is the best and most caring oral surgeon I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I’ve seen 3 before him that we’re not good. He calmed me down and actually took so much time explaining things to me. When I have follow ups, he doesn’t rush me and answers all of my questions in lay mans terms. The level of empathy and professionalism at Piney Point Dental Implant center cannot be over-stated. I had to have a tooth implant because of an infected tooth on top of a bad root canal, i had gone to a couple of dentist office and they were like you should look into it. Dr. Koo after inspecting, immediately recommended removal and treated the issue with the importance it needed. Through the implant and healing of removed wisdom teeth, everything went well and i knew i was treated with proper care and regard. All my concerns were answered honestly. My dentist recommended two implant centers to me. At first I picked another office, but they were not able to timely work with my insurance, Delta Dental. I then went to Piney Point and they were very quick and efficient with all Delta Dental Insurance claims. The staff was very friendly throughout the process. I had a total of 4 appointments at Piney Point (1 pre-surgery, 1 surgery and 2 post surgery). I received a dental implant in Sept 2019, under anesthesia. All went very smooth on surgery day. They were on time, implant was successful and I healed quickly. My only complaint is that I was not seen timely on both of my post op appointments. One was especially late. But all things considered, I would recommend Piney Point for implants.

I had a broken lower right molar and saw my general dentist. He wanted to do a three teeth bridge, but I wanted to learn about having a single implant instead. From my first consultation with Dr. Steve Koo at his Piney Point Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Office, he explained how a dental implant would be my best option. Dr. Koo had a detailed video showing the implant procedure and it’s benefits. And he told me the implant would replace my molar root and bond with my jawbone to prevent further bone loss after he had taken panoramic X-rays of my mouth.I scheduled the surgery and Dr. Koo extracted my broken molar and did some bone grafting to build up my jawbone for the best base for my implant. This was done in his surgical suite under intravenous anesthesia and I didn’t feel a thing! I was constantly monitored by three surgical assistants who were very attentive and caring. And after the procedure, they escorted me to the recovery room where I rested with an ice pack on my jaw. I was sent home with detailed instructions and took an antibiotic and pain pills when needed.After three months, when Dr. Koo determined my bone graft had filled in and my gum had healed, I had the implant surgery. As with the extraction, the surgery was done in his surgical suite under anesthesia and again I woke up when it was over and I really had very little pain.I am healing quickly from the surgery. Dr. Koo wants my jawbone to grow around the grooves in the implant so that it is fully integrated and very stable and strong. This will take another three months, after which I will see my general dentist for my crown. This entire process does take time, but I have been able to chew on my left side and I feel much better with the broken molar gone and the implant in place.I can’t say enough about what a positive experience this turned out to be. Dr. Koo is very impressive and professional and has extensive knowledge and experience. And happily, he has an engaging, kind personality! His office staff are all very nice and able to help with scheduling and answer any financial questions. They were also so kind to do a follow up call the day after each surgery to make sure I was not having any problems.It is my pleasure to heartily recommend Dr. Steve Koo to anyone who is contemplating dental implant surgery. He is the BEST!!

I have had such a great experience with Dr. Ko. I feel like he really cares for me and if I call because I am concerned about anything he will call me right back personally to ease my fears. If I need another implant, I know where to go with or without insurance.

I would happily return to Dr. Koo and his staff for any future dental implant work. There was no nickle and diming of tests and procedures. All of my questions were thoroughly and thoughtfully answered, and I went into surgery feeling confident and in good hands. I didnt feel the need to use the prescription painkillers beyond the first day after surgery-- I experienced no pain, and everything healed great. Dr. Koo and his staff were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain and answer all my questions, related to my surgery (had a tooth removed due to infection). The first procedure was to remove the tooth and let the area heal, followed by a second procedure in which a titanium screw was inserted,as an anchor for future dental crown. Between the two surgeries, as well as after my second surgery, Dr. Koo would check on my progression, to make sure everything was well, which has now resulted in clean bill of health which means I can now have my crown installed.I highly recommend Dr. Koo and his staff and I thank him and his staff for helping me with my procedure, thus ensuring Ill have healthy teeth going forward. After a long history of tooth pain including a previous root canal, I was finally referred to Dr. Koo for a surgical consultation. From the very beginning, he gave me clear instructions and expectations regarding my tooth and the extraction/implant process. He spent time with me and answered all my questions & concerns. All his support staff are friendly and kind, especially coming out of surgery! They were so helpful to me the few times I had to bring my newborn son with me for a check up on my implant. Earlier this year, I had severe pain in my mouth due to a cracked molar. I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Koo to go through the process of having it extracted and getting an implant. He was very informative and attentive to my needs (I had to work around a wedding) as he explained the whole process to me and set me up. The extraction went smoothly and, after it was done, I no longer had any trouble with that tooth. The implant was just as simple, if not easier. Both procedures were painless and performed perfectly. The most painful part of the process was wanting to eat all of the foods that I wasnt allowed to while I was healing. I highly recommend Dr. Koo if you need any work done as he does quality work and is very professional with everything he does.

I was referred to Piney Point Dental Implant Center by my dentist and I had my surgery with Dr. Koo. After my initial consulatation with Dr. Koo I had taken the little brochure with his profile home. My husband was blown away from his credentials and advised to get my wisdom tooth removal from him. I took his advise and moved forward. The surgery was painless as I was under anesthesia, I only felt slight pain on day 2 and 3 and then it healed beautfully. I would recommend Dr. Koo 100% for your wisdom teeth removal.
