Worst service I have ever had in a bank. Everyone was rude and inpersonal. Credit services lady forgot her password so spent her time on the phone while with me and did not resolve my problem.

I have always had a pleasant experience with staff members. Weather it be over the phone, or in person. However Today I do have a complaint. It has come to my attention that in order to cast a light on those who deserve it, good or bad I have to blast it on a platform like google. I would very much like to see a link to a survey or questionnaire or even a simple comment card that I might be able to relay my memorable experiences. I had one such experience today. After not being able to find my wallet, I called the main number and spoke to a Laura she very calmly and kindly helped me sort out my options when it came to my credit/debit card and the safety of my account. I would like to personally thank her for how much she helped.

This credit union use to be something I would brag about to my friends and family. I have been a member for almost 10yrs. This past year has been the absolute worse. There seems to be a lack of communication, a lot of departments pointing fingers and a lack of knowledge regarding what’s going on with card services. I feel for our firefighters. First their pension and now they don’t have a 5star bank. We all know it’s stressful when it comes to money. The company we bank with should be the least of our worries. I have held off writing this review for a month. To see maybe if I stay on the issue I’m having with this bank, someone might come up with a solution or an answer. I have been told a few times someone would call back but they didn’t. I have also called to speak to a supervisor or manager about my issues but no one will forward me to them. So here I am. I have been loyal going on 10yrs and I get the run around+nsf fee that they won’t reverse. Which I have no problem paying at all. But why should I? How did I get the fee? BECAUSE I CAN’T MOVE FUNDS TO MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED ON THEIR PART and A DEBIT CARD THAT THEY SAY IS HAVING INTERNAL ISSUES!!! But I was told that’s my fault! 2 stars because I feel with some communication skills maybe this bank can redeem itself. Also the male officer in the lobby I have seen for some years now and every time he smiles and greets me. At this point I’m over going in circles with this bank and being let down.**********UPDATE*************I reached out to Lisa in card services and she assured me that she has been working to get the issue fixed and my NSF fees will be reversed due to system errors. I must admit it does feel good to be heard. To come across someone who is taking action to correct an issue after weeks of headaches blows my mind! #weneedmoreLISASintheworld! 5stars because she listened and took action.

Not sure what’s happening with my credit union but it use to run smoother and the customer service was way better, definitely looking into changing banks now which is something that never really crossed my mind.

I use to brag about my Credit union, now Im ashamed to even be apart of it. The customer service has went down tremendously and everybody is always in a rush or never called.

When I was first introduced to HTFFFCU on November 11th I was informed that I could refinance my truck for a lower APR. So, initially, it was enticing to also apply for a Credit Card and Checking account with HTFFFCU with intentions of doing all of my business with this organization. When the process was started and close to being complete I was informed that I could not get refinanced with a lower APR because I have student loans, bringing my loan debt higher than my salary. Furthermore, I would not be able to apply for a new car or new house unless ALL of my student loan was paid off making there no reason to keep open an account. This was against all that they had first told me so I initially closed my account and CC. My CC finally came in the mail on December 12th. After checking my credit score and seeing a hard inquiry on December 17th, 2018 I called back and stated I would like to keep the CC since HTFFFCU pulled a hard inquiry on my credit report due to applying for the CC. They said I needed to show up in person to reopen my CC. I made my way into the Kolb branch, talked with Marcus, he got me set up with another CC since they couldnt reopen the one I had and said it would be on the way, it would take a couple weeks. I called yesterday, Jan. 23rd, 2019 after waiting on my card for a solid month and apparently there is no open accounts with no active or pending CC being sent my way. The guy I was talking to assured me that I would be receiving a call back. Well its Jan 24th and Im still waiting on that call back. If this is how they treat their customers I would advise everyone to stay away. Ive had better customer service with Chase Bank than I have in the small amount of time getting the run around with Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union. You would think they would stand by their motto (Family, Trust, Service, Prosperity) and accolades (Serving our community for 83 years). Guess I was proven wrong. I will be informing all of my Family and Friends about the service.
