Do not recommend if you have a function to attend at a particular time. I scheduled a blowout for 0900 - when the Blo Dry Bar opened. I confirmed with them a few times before the scheduled appointment. They confirmed with me as well the day prior. I got there right at 0900 - assuming I couldn’t get there earlier because that is when they opened. The stylist scheduled to do my blowout had not shown up. After waiting 20 minutes, I had to cancel due to the 1130 event I was to attend. Irritated that I wasted my time driving over.Suggestions:If you have confirmed the time with the client and a stylist has been assigned, be on time and ready to go for the scheduled time. If you are unable to make that appointment, please get in touch with the client, so their time isn’t wasted.

I loved this place! I got hair extensions and they were beautiful! The quality of her work was amazing and I enjoyed my whole experience. From how precautious they were to how clean they were I loved my whole experience. Great customer service and truly just loved getting my hair done in a comfortable clean space with friendly women! 10/10 recommend this salon

I had the pleasure of going to Blow Dry Bar Houston for the first time for my first ever hair extensions. Throughout the whole process they talked me through every step. They also told me all the do’s and don’t s when it came to care and style of the extensions. If you’re ever interested in hair extensions this is the place to go. The staff was very professional and a joy to be around and made sure you were enjoying your time. I highly recommend this place.

I sooooooo enjoyed my time at The Blow Dry Bar!! Ms. Erica and Deidra Monet were so amazing!! Deidra Monet was very informative on the service she was providing. She gave thorough product knowledge education before applying them to my hair. I recommend everyone to use their services!! I am excited to return again on my next trip to Houston.

DO NOT GO HERE.I normally do not write reviews, but I have never been so disappointed with a service before.The stylists have absolutely no idea what the are doing or talking about. My sister wanted to get her hair curled for her Senior Prom. She has fairly long hair, so she would need big curls in order for it to stay (which is common sense).First, the stylist had long fake nails and destroyed her scalp when she washed and styled her hair. Which made the entire process unpleasant.Second, they barely curled her hair and the curls fell straight after 5 minutes. We went back to ask them if they could touch up. They said it was the products fault and were reluctant to help. They claimed the product does style well with long hair, but still used it and did nothing to style it properly.It was disappointing how little they did to mend the situation and help her. Now we have to find a place hours before her prom to get it redone. This added a lot of undue stress to what should be a fun experience.Save your time and you money. Go somewhere where the stylists have your best interest in mind and actually do a decent job.

Absolutely fantastic experience. They worked MAGIC on my very straight, uncooperative hair. Warned her in advance that my hair doesnt hold a curl, but it held perfectly the entire rest of the day and night of the wedding - was still curly even the next day. Highly recommend!

Its true that you are far more likely to complain about a bad experience then praise a good one so having said that I will say the first time I came here was great. She did my hair exactly how I asked and all was well. My recent visit was disappointing because despite numerous requests to style my hair a certain way my stylist insisted that it looked better the way she had done it and made a few halfhearted attempts at doing what I wanted before telling me that it would look bad if I persisted with what I wanted. so I just left and went home and did it myself. She also smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.

Unfortunately, I have to truly leave my review on experience only. Everyone that works in the salon are very kind, unprofessional but very kind. Two weeks ago, I came in for a blowout. Sadly, I have to say they did an awful job.First, I have never been to a blow dry bar or a salon for that matter, where the employees are doing their own hair and makeup while clients are just waiting.Secondly, the employees look like they just woke up, crawled out of bed and came to work. Reeking of cigarettes and booze. Clothing looks like they had it stuffed under their beds.And lastly, The stylist styled my hair the way she wanted to style it, after I repeatedly asked her to style it the way I preferred it to look.

Quick Version:-Calm and relaxing atmosphere-Friendly staff-Disappointing results-A bit pricey for the service ($55 for the blow dry/style and $20 for the tip)The Good:I was thrilled that I was able to get an appointment for this Saturday after finding out last minute about a wedding on Wednesday. When I arrived around 10:00 a.m. I was quickly greeted by a smiling receptionist and was informed my stylist would be with me shortly. I took the few minutes while I waited to look around the salon. The robin blue and white color scheme was paired perfectly with shabby chic furniture creating a very inviting environment.After a few minutes waiting my stylist came and introduced herself with a smile and a handshake. Im not sure about others however this sort of introduction speaks volumes to me and it was greatly appreciated. At other salons youre lucky if you can catch the stylist names. As she escorted me to the wash room she started the small talk and while I was in the chair we discussed what I wanted to do with my hair and if I had any plans.Once in the styling chair I decided I wanted to go with medium spiral curls throughout my hair. I was extremely pleased with how she handled my hair while blow drying it. I have thick wavy hair that goes to my waist that easily gets tangled causing inexperienced stylist to pull and tug on my hair throughout the drying process. After about 30-45 minutes of blow drying and curling my hair looked amazing and was exactly what I wanted.The Bad:Due to my hairs length I pulled all my hair to the front of me prior to getting into my car to go home to prevent smashing my curls in-between my back and drivers seat. By the time I got back to my house off of Montrose and W Gray(10-15 minute drive) most of my curls had already lost a most of their bounce. By the time I got to the wedding, roughly a hour after leaving the salon, my hair was flat at top and the only curl left was towards the end of my hair. About 2 hours leaving the salon my hair looked how I can only describe as sad - flat, limp and lifeless.Im not sure if it was the stylist technique or the products they used however I have never had my hair fall so quickly. Due to my hair fullness and wavy texture very little product has been needed to hold all-day curl in the past. Most the time I can sleep with curls and the next day they look great with a bit of touch-up with a curling iron.Needless to say I will not be returning to this salon. I honestly believe they money I spent was a complete waste.
