Was very impressed with Dr. Rubino and her staff. My eye exam was quick and efficient. She was friendly and professional. I was also impressed by their use of newer technology. For an additional fee, they offer the option of doing an optomap retinal scan in place of getting dilated which is so worth the extra cost! Costco was slammed today yet Dr. Rubino and her team got me in and out of there in under an hour.

Location has changed recently. It is now up by the cash registers. Always busy...too busy. Hard to get help. They make great glasses though. Pricing is also excellent on their glasses and they take most insurance. They have an eye doctor on site.

Ive had problems with my vision for 13 years or so, and I had the BEST experience with the vision center; not only is the doctor amazing, the entire support staff she has is just as kind. Those that work at the counter near the glasses are very helpful and knowledgeable as well! Ill give a special shout-out to Melinda because she was truly one of the most pleasant people Ive ever spoken to; shes been in the eyeglasses business for some time now, so she has great tips and tricks for us glasses wearers! Thank you, Melinda!

So after reading these reviews, I was very skeptical about trying this place.😕 Upon arrival to my appointment, I instantly regretted the decision. 😒 I was told that my appointment was the day before. 😦However, this is not what I was told when I made the appointment and put the date in my calendar. 🧐 The staff was very accommodating though and offered me another appointment for later that day. 🙃 Then I was sent a text stating that I had missed the other appointment 🤨. Surprisingly, the doctor’s visit was amazing. 😋 She was friendly, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. Dr. Compton ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have purchased three pair of eyeglasses at Costco for personal use. The first pair was fine. The last two pairs both fell apart in less than two years. Very disappointing and all the employees said was that they were sorry about it, but couldnt do anything. The metal nose pad post fell off of my second pair and I didnt notice it until a small abrasion caused by the rough spot where the post was anchored started to bleed after a few hours of wear. The second pair that failed (Perry Ellis) brand worked well for about a year before mysterious striations began to appear in the lenses. These were not scratches. I took the glasses to Costco and all the tech did was scratch her head and ask me what I had done to them. I am 60 and have been wearing eyeglasses since I was 13, so I know how to take care of my glasses. A close inspection revealed that the Perry Ellis frames were shrinking over time, placing constant stress on the lens material. I will never buy eyeglasses from Costco again. It looks like normal UV exposure from sunlight (I go to ball games a lot), caused the organic bonds in the frame material to slowly break down, resulting in the shrinkage. They were just low-quality frames with a fancy designer name on them.

We drive all the way from Shreveport, LA to see Dr. Rubino. I dont think there is much else I could tell you that tops a 7 hour drive with an infant for an eye exam. They should have a secret 6th star.

Have bought at least 4 or of glasses and received nothing but excellent service from the vision dept! They are as conscientious as they can be with as busy as they are! Never dealt with the Dr there but the rest of the staff is knowledgeable & helpful! Can’t say enough good things about them and the prices can’t be beat!!!

Ignore the matched Harris 1 star reviews (So blatantly from same people), no sympathy for someone who shows up so late for an appointment. I have been using Dr Rubino for years and she continues to amaze me, and the quality, knowledge and cost of glasses in the vision center is amazing. One of the best places you can go. Dont show up at 4:50 for a 4:30 appointment, though. =)

I had my eye exam and bought a pair of glasses at 12:30 on a Saturday. Costco members will know that 12:30 on Saturday is about the craziest time there is at Costco. Dr. Rubino was courteous, efficient, and most importantly, thorough. The staff at the frame and lens sales counter were just as courteous and efficient. I genuinely felt that they met my needs for a prescription and glasses, and there is no doubt that I got a great value out of my glasses and lenses. If you dont have any pressing ophthalmic issues, you are cheating yourself by not using Dr. Rubino and Costco

I ASKED HER BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT BEGAN IF THEY TOOK MY INSURANCE. SHE LIED TO ME. NO IM NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN AND THEY OWE ME 120$

The exam itself was fine last year but trying to schedule appointment there this year is a nightmare. Can’t ever get someone to answer the phone and I left multiple messages over the course of a couple months that haven’t been returned.

Made an appointment. Waited 30 minutes and got bumped for somebody that skipped their earlier appointment. Decided not to wait 60 minutes and left. All I can say is don’t bother. Service is terrible.

My daughter (5yrs old) had an appointment with Dr. Rubino today at 4:30. I called at 4:30 and spoke with her letting her know we were close by but we’re going to be a bit late due to traffic from a wreck. She said okay and then called me back at 4:50 (we were in the parking lot at the time) to tell me that she could not see my daughter that they close at 5:00 and she would not have time to see her we would need to reschedule. This was not just a routine eye exam...I had called and made the appointment on Thursday because my daughter has been seeing floaters, which I have learned are not common in children and should be checked out soon. Dr. Rubino was aware of the reason of the appointment and still chose to not see her. I consider this to be very poor bedside manner and extremely unprofessional. I do not recommended going to her.

Dr Rubino is friendly and a professional. I was referred to her by a friend and I have referred many to her. The review of two parents who were over 20 minutes late is unfair. How do the reviewers know whether the Dr had her own commitment to keep? If the issue was that big of a concern they could have gone to Childrens Hospital or the UAB Callahan 24.7 eye emergency room. Dr. Rubio has spent extra time with me due to changing vision issues and due to some recent health related causes. I have used other optometrists including those at Schaeffer and in other states. She has been the best by far. Highly recommend and I was skeptical due to her office being in Costco.
