Such a great experience! I felt so comfortable from the moment I walked in..Dr. Sanford is amazing..so genuine and thorough. Also had much needed help picking out the cutest glasses!

By far the most thorough eye exam I’ve had. Even went as far to check blood pressure which I thought was very mindful of them since a blood pressure can play a role in certain eye conditions. The staff was also sweet and helpful as I picked out my selection of glasses.Practice wasn’t overly crowded with patients as I have experienced at other eye practices known around town.Highly recommend if you are looking for a personalized experience.

This was the best experience that I have ever had with a vision center. Their staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. Even the doctor was awesome. My girls were not afraid at all. We didnt even have to sit long in the waiting room when we checked in! I wish I could give this place 100 stars!

Everybody at the vision center was very friendly, helpful and competent. I received a very thorough eye exam from Dr. Marbourg. She did not rush the exam and took time to chat with me and answer my questions. I highly recommend Hoover Vision Center.

Went in for a routine eye exam, which under my Medicare Advantage plan is fully covered with no copay (and Ive never paid a dime with my previous eye doctor). They performed unnecessary tests, charged me $95 for my visit, then scheduled me back in a week for a glaucoma screening and another $25 copay ( medicare covers glaucoma screenings), then wanted me back every three months for additional glaucoma screenings even though I dont have the disease. Avoid this place like the plague.

Dr Marbourg is the best OD that I have had in a long time. She is very caring and compassionate about what she does. She takes her time with you and listens to your concerns. She offers alternatives and always lets you know that if something changes in your vision to call her back.

I went for my initial comprehensive exam and was glad I did. The office was clean, the staff were all pleasant, and Dr. Samford was very informative during my exam. The only downside was the lack of frames to choose from. I ended up not purchasing any, but I was provided my prescription which I can use to order frames elsewhere.

Do not visit this shop. I waited over 1.5 hours to see the doctor, no apologies, no reason why it took so long. Doctor came in, didn’t even introduce herself, gave me my rx and was out in 5 minutes.I ordered glasses and they took over 3 weeks. I do not even have high prescriptions.I will never go back. And never recommend this place to anyone else

I cannot recommend Dr. Samford enough. I have worn glasses and/or contacts for 21 years, have seen upwards of 10 optometrists, and have never had a doctor spend as much time dialing in my prescription. It is greatly appreciated and gives you a lot of confidence that you are in the right lenses. Not to mention her expert handling of an infection that could have led to permanent damage in my right eye. I moved out of Hoover last year but I still gladly make the trip back once a year to see her.

First of all, the ladies in the front are friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable about how to provide you the best service. They will fight for you to get the best out of your insurance. I witnessed it for another patient. This was my first visit, and Dr. Samford was excellent. She listened to me about my needs and frustration with another office and doctor and found a solution that worked for me. The office seems well appointed, clean, and has plenty of options. Don’t be fooled by the location in a strip mall. It’s a gem, and why would you want to pay for the overhead? I highly recommend this practice.

The staff is SO friendly and helpful! The last time I was in for my appointment they were running a tad behind. They apologized & once made aware that I was on my lunch break, the Dr made sure to be considerate of the time. I was able to make it back to work on time. What an amazing eye doctor! I first went here when I woke up one morning with some eye pain and just searched for the nearest eye doctor near me and, wow, did I luck out. Every time I’ve gone to see Dr Samford, I am always in and out with very little to no wait time. She is very friendly and takes time to explain anything that comes up during the exam. The entire staff here is the friendliest and most helpful that I have ever encountered at any doctor’s office and I’m so glad that I found them.

Horrible experience. Do not go here! They rushed my daughter so much that they did not even try her glasses on her when she received them. They are too tight on her & Amy is telling me to take the glasses some place else to get them loosened. My daughter picked out one pair and they ordered her something totally different. They are in too much of a hurry trying to get you out of there.
