The moment you walk in the door you immediately relax. Inside the lights and the music take you far away from the outside life and you just feel incredibly calm. The nail technicians are very friendly and their nails are superb!

I came in, a regular customer. I was given a nail tech I had never seen, after I asked for the regular person who does them. The nail tech refused to give me what I asked for and after telling her multiple times I did not like the service she continued to ignore me. Finally I at this point of being here 2.5 hours, was slightly irritated. I asked for them to be removed and they forced me to try to pay for services. Then threatened to call the police when I asked for the polish to be removed. The police were called and as I walked out the establishment Alaya Smith threw my shoes at me. I will never return to this establishment again and would not recommend to anyone else.

Ill never go back. , Not only was the owner of rude but when I said ouch she never even look back she was in a rush while I was sitting there I watched another couple come in talkin about they was in a rush and they was talking junk to them and first I was with the nail salon but after what they did to me Im with the couple Ill never go back here you charged me $71 for me to be cut up unprofessional on perfect dont go here

Normally I do crazy acrylic nails, but I wanted to just do something simple on my natural nails this time. First time going here, new to the area. Ive had my nails done a LOT of times and know some amazing artists, but again Im new here so I dont know anyone like that yet here.Some dude there who was smoking when I pulled up ended up doing my nails. Im usually pretty quiet and I know I should have complained at the time so thats my fault, but I dont want anyone else to experience what I did.He comes in and sprays what I assume is alcohol on his fingers. Doesnt use gloves but his hands are not the cleanest looking so Im kind of grossed out. He takes off my old acrylics I had done in Texas for a wedding using one of the electric files and acetone. Never lets me wash my hands so theyre so dry and gross from acetone. I tried getting up multiple times to wash them and he refused to let me. Also rips a chunk of my thumb nail off with some clippers when attempting to peel off my old acrylic nail. It starts bleeding.He just keeps pouring alcohol over every cut. I have a high pain tolerance but Im getting kind of sick from it. He uses one of those rectangular files with all the different sides on it and literally buffs my fingers RAW. I tried leaving because everything started burning so badly, but the owner told me to get something over it so it wouldnt hurt as much. I sit back down. Every time he cuts me he pours more alcohol, I start wincing and pulling my hands away again, and he grabs my hand and rolls his eyes, then grabs a mini fan and makes me put my hands in front of it to stop the burning.(I forgot to mention, at one point he goes outside to smoke again while my fingers are in acetone. Comes back and sprays his hands with alcohol to continue working on me.)The owner ends up coming over eventually and taking me away from him after what seemed to be a heated exchange that I didnt understand. She paints my nails.Seven of my fingers are red and burning. Ive been washing them but Im worried that I may need to go to the doctor. You can see how red they are from him buffing them when I tried getting him to stop.Nails are also filed a bit crooked, and I have pieces of the nails that arent holo because it wasnt done well. Also asked for black or silver and they used blue.Im not saying everyone in the salon is terrible, but that guy definitely is. Dont ever let him work on you, for your own health and safety.UPDATE: I’ve been taking very good care of my fingers, they’re now scabbed over from what the guy did to them. I’m lucky I didn’t get an infection, from what I’ve been told.

Never go there again and definitely will tell how awful the nail techs are. had four cuts on hand & blood got in nail polish . Asked for a refund & they refused to give it😡😡

I took a client of mine with Muscular Dystropby (which makes her upper and lower extremities weak) out with me to get mani and pedi. They immediately refused us service because she had an oxygen tank. I understood the reasoning behind it so I told them that she just needed it for the walk to the door and that I could take the tank back out to the car. They still refused her service. They said we can service u but not her, even though they could clearly see that she couldnt walk steadily without my assistance so she would have to sit in there with me if I decided to get service there. They said something about her safety and I told them that this is not her first time getting her nails done at a salon and that she was of sound mind and is well aware of her ailment and still wanted service. They still refused saying that they were not Drs or nurses. I told them that I was a licensed trained CNA 2 and had been working with her for 5 years and I was well aware of any issues that would harm her, still they refused. They stared at her as if she were an alien so Im thinking they just didnt want to touch her. I gave up and went to Polished Nails around the corner and they not only saw my client, but also made adjustments to make her visit pleasant. They did her nails and feet in the pedicure station because they saw that she had a hard time walking, and also let her continue to sit it the comfortable massage chairs while she waited for me to be serviced. The guy that serviced her even put her shoes back on for her because she said her feet were cold and I was in the middle of getting my nails done.

There is no way they should have taken 4 hours to do my mani/pedi after I started. The pedicurist was amazing but they kept pulling her everywhere and she didnt even get to finish me. Never ever going there again.Wanted to edit to add that service was done yesterday, 4/23/21. I got there about 10 minutes after they opened at 9 and left a few minutes after 1 p.m. And the owner had me pay via CashApp.

They suck. My daughter looked like she needed a fill in the same day. My other daughters polish was everywhere and both sets were thin. Theyre nails were gone 2 days later.

I came in for a full set of acrylic with gel polish. They were done quickly (about 45 min) and never lifted or chipped. However, their website says full sets are $28 and when I checked out it was $53 before tip. They should update their site price list. I did feel very mislead.

DO NOT GO HERE. Please save yourself the time and the awful quality manicure and pedicure. Sanitation was poor. When getting my gel pedicure they took me out of the massage chain over to a nail table pulled my leg up from under the nail tables and to do them in their lap. Uncomfortable digging my knee caps into the sharp edges of the desk. Not to mention the sloppiest job I’ve ever seen. Then on to my gel manicure absolutely rushed and sloppy. I will absolutely never go back here!!!!!

I loved my pedicure! It was very nice and relaxing. She took her time to do it correctly. However, for my nails there was no clear price sheet. They kept going back and forth having to discuss the price of my nails. A different person did my nails and she had a customer waiting to get their eyebrows done so she definitely rushed my nails. I had chunks of acrylic up under my nails and the polish was not neat at all! Then on top of that the very next day, a nail broke. The full set was a waste of my money!

I went here with my friend to get acrylic nails for each of us. I had a man do mine who was rude - he openly made fun of me for asking my friends opinion on my nail color choice. He laughed and said You cant make decisions on your own? That alone isnt enough for a bad review in my opinion, but then he really didnt do a very good job on my nails. I had to show him a picture of almond shaped nails because he didnt know what they were and then I had to show him how to shape them that way. In the end even though I really tried to make sure he did them right, I never asked him to make sure they were all even and this is what Ive ended up with. In comparison my friend had a woman who did a phenomenal job - her nails look fabulous and the woman was nice to her.

My sister and I visited AV Nail Spa in Greenville, NC on August 5th, 2020 at approximately 6:30p.m. When walking through the doors Hally asked what services we were interested in receiving. My sister explained that she wanted SNS and I requested a nail repair. Hally instructed us to have a seat while waiting she called for Mikayla to do my sisters nails. Mikayla was genuinely nice as she took her time in answering any questions or concerns, we had. I asked Mikayla how much my nail repair would be, and she directed her question to Hally.Hally completely ignored Mikayla and gave her no recognition whatsoever, at this point, I was completely disgusted. Hally then calls me over to her desk to get started on my repair. As she begins to work on my nail, I ask how much it would be, Hally responds “she said she would pay” so in other words if you’re not paying for it, let it not be your concern. I explained to Hally that even though my sister is paying for my services, I still have a right to inquire about the price. Hally seemed frustrated with me simply inquiring about the price which is absurd! Hally begins to forcefully swing my hands around during my services as if she is fed up with me. Once Hally applied the acrylic she asked how I like the work she had performed so far. I explained to her that clearly the nail was way longer than the others and needed to be trimmed down some more.Hally slightly through her hands in the air in complete frustration and seemed upset at the world. As Hally wrapped up her services on my end, I joined my sister and Mikayla. Mikayla and my sister had a great conversation, and my sister experiences true customer service. Mikayla was truly knowledgeable about nails and demonstrated a true passion for her job and has dreams to open her own shop at the age of 17. All the workers here overall just seemed as if they were walking on eggshells working for Hally. Hally is an awful person, let alone the manager, and should examine how she treats her workers and customers.If you do go to AV Nail Spa and looking for great customer service and quality work I highly recommend you ask for Mikayla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!By the way, my nail repair was $7.00 and Hally did not even take the time to buffer my nails. She is a pathetic excuse for a human being!! She has no business working in the public spectrum if she has ZERO customer service skills!!

Do not go here, you will be ripped off! However nails do turn out nice (if you do pay the extra). If you get a new set Hailey will ruthlessly rip off your old set so be ready. If you need your nails done get her to do it because she is the only one who can make them look nice there.Bottom line, go to Lavish Nails & Spa. They’re cheaper, turn out just as nice or nicer, they have way better customer service (they don’t just want your money, like how Halley always pushes people to get their feet done [and with gel for extra extra money]).PS. I’ve been here 3 times and every time I’ve been seen quickly and my nails came out exactly how I wanted them. I usually get a tapered squared medium length nail and the three different techs I had shaped them wonderfully.Their prices are pretty normal. I get my nails done here and in VA and the prices are basically the same. Anyone complaining about paying extra for gel or for a different nail shape must not get their nails done often, because that’s pretty typical.

I wasn’t satisfied what I got, as much money that I had to pay. Will not be coming here again! They are very slow had to wait for about 20 mins after arriving. She pressed me to get a pedicure after I said no about 10 times! I only wanted a Manicure. Hally puts way too much acrylic on the nail by the way & rushes 🤦🏽‍♀️

Owners stood around, argued, and got drunk during my service. When services were comeplete charged me for things I did not get like a shape change and quoted me $10more than what I was originally quoted. As for the quality of work it was fair for a new unlicensed nail tech. Unfortunately most of the girls in this shop are unlicensed according to them.

I still have my nails from new years and they are still flawless. And now they have opened a new location that is ever bigger and more beautiful. I have found my nail heaven and I will never leave.I have lived in Greenville for 4 years and tried almost every place in town at some point. I went here for the first time 3 weeks ago for acrylic nails with a shellac manicure and they are still all intact. I am absolutely in love with this place going back today and never going anywhere else. Mr. Kevin & Mrs. Hailey are the best hands down. Wine with hot towels super long massages listened to my concerns and needs. This is easily my favorite place earned every . Great atmosphere hilarious people so worth it

Wonderful experience! I’m getting married on Saturday and was give the perfect wedding nails! I showed an inspo picture of a very very light ombre and Haley matched it perfectly! Besides the great work, every employee has been very sweet as well as the owner. Thanks again Haley!

I visited this spa on 04/09/16. It was my first time. I have to say, I had an enjoyable experience. I got the 60 minute pedicure. My feet felt so good and relaxed once the pedicure was done. I then got my nails done (full set). The customer service is, by far, the best that I have received at a nail spa. The owners really do care about your satisfaction, and that means a lot to me. Thank you, guys, for taking such good care of me.

Went today to treat myself to a pedicure. Lady that did my nails was very nice, but seemed unsure of herself. Asked for a classic pedicure that was $28. When I went to leave I was charged $43.00. I will not be back!

Came march 17 2017 . been a customer for 2 years. Will not go anywhere else. If u want quality work that last this is the place. My shellac always is high quality and lasts two weeks or more. I love this place. The staff is awesome and personal. Will reccomend to anyone

My first time here wasn’t too bad! I got a full set and they turned out nicely but was surprised by how expensive it was to get them done. (60$!!) and it was a very simple paint on. I decided to go back my second time to get a fill. Never will I go back, she rushed on my nails, making them lopsided and the paint was uneven. I’m currently removing what she did to my nails at a different nail salon.

I have been to this nail salon for almost four years and every experience has been a great one! They are the sweetest people and will treat you like family, and it is always a positive environment. Not only that but my nails have always turned out fabulous!

June 10, 2017-- I came in today for a pedicure and gel manicure and am always extremely satisfied with the service. They always play the best music and are extremely careful with the cuticle cutters and make sure you leave with every nail perfect. Ive been coming to this salon for about 2 years now and being from Maryland this is a great find. They have student discounts and its very convenient in location.

Ugh, I was very disappointed. Went in today for the first time to get a gel manicure. They were very busy so the lady who did my nails was constantly looking around and attending to other matters while trimming my cuticles. I was so scared she was going to cut me. She didn’t thankfully but she rushed through so that she didn’t give me enough time under the LED light during each application to let the gel set. The gel was unevenly applied and all over the edge of my fingers. I have never had a gel manicure that fast before. It was very sloppy and unevenly applied. Very disappointed. I should’ve waited to go to my usual nail salon.

I looked this place up on Google before going & it had good reviews so I went. When I got there that man that did my nails kept flirting with me or maybe it was just being friendly but I felt kind of uncomfortable. I also wanted my nails in stiletto shape but they werent really that shape & they werent done that well. I also wanted matte black & just got the shiny regular black color! I came from Columbia to get my nails done so I probably wont be going back!

Great place to go, extremely peaceful and just a relaxing atmosphere. Great place & great technicians. I went for a full set and classic pedicure and they did an excellent job. I do reccommend seeing Stephanie! Very friendly. Definitely my go to nail place while Im at school.

I came AV Nails last week. It was my first time. I had good time there and felt comfortable and relax. Space is good and they are friendly and enthusiasm. I really like there and i will come back there again.

Its clean inside and it smells quite nice for a nail salon. They were burning this wonderful incense that gave the (already pretty) room more ambiance. I had a shellac manicure done with a sugar scrub, paraffin wax, and hot towel. The manicure was done very well, the sugar scrub smelled great and left my hands silky smooth, and the paraffin wax + hot towel was also very soothing. All around cost $40. A fair price for experienced service. They do discounts for college students. I would rate AV Nail Spa better if only two things had been different. 1) everyone but the man who did my nails was very pleasant. He was insincere, talked on his phone the entire time, and was just in a bad mood. Maybe a bad day? Im not sure. Ill give him the benefit of doubt. 2) The nail color applied did not match the color I picked out.

Wonderful place! I refuse to go anywhere else. Hailey keeps me up to date on whats what with nail trends and all the new techniques that are in style. I can work on my car AND MY NAILS STAY NICE! I couldnt be happier! Everyone is super friendly and I absolutely recommend coming here!! They also saved my face from my invasive eyebrow struggle. 10/10

Awful. Went in their with my roommate to relax and get a manicure, instead we got called sexy/baby and were told about how the man had his old girlfriends bras hanging up around his room. He asked multiple times if we had boyfriends and told us how he needed a girlfriend. He talked so much that I left with my nails looking a mess. He made us feel so uncomfortable that we could not focus on relaxing because we were too focused on getting out of there. We will not be going back.

*****UPDATE*****Come to find out, the guy who was rude and brings his dog into the salon is the jerk owner. I went back into the salon today to give it one more try because the girls are so nice. I walked in and asked for a full set and I was told to sit at his station. Automatically I was disappointed because it was HIM. So I sat down and the first thing out of his mouth was werent you the girl who came in to get a pedicure and had the student ID issue? NO honey, YOU had the issue. I HAVE a valid student ID with over $90K standing behind it. He rolled his eyes at me when I said that yes, it was me. Then he yelled something in Vietimese to his wife and glared at me again. By this point, I know he saw this review. He then cut all my nails off and buffed them while being very rude the whole time. I said I had decided I do not want the service and got up to walk out. He then yelled at me and said YOU STILL OWE ME FOR THE CUT DOWN AND BUFF!! So I paid the little angry man his $5 and left. I will NEVER come back. Hes rude and inconsiderate. I went to a neighboring salon where they offer all the same services and multiple types of discounts for loyal customers. I recommend you do the same.*******************Ive been going here since I moved to NC and its usually pretty good. However, all of a sudden, the one guy who works here asked me if Im really a student because I have my undergrad and grad student IDs from two different universities. He said well most students just keep theirs and still use it so Im wondering why you have two... not to mention the same guy brings his massive German Sheppard into the salon occasionally. Super rude for no reason, but the woman who owns the salon is super wonderful.

I went to AV nail salon at the suggestion of my friends. I got just gel polish, because I do my own manicures. This was my first experience with gel polish. The polish was a dark red, so it was easy to see that it wasnt a great paint job. But it was alright, so I didnt say anything. I wore it for 11 days before I went back to get it off, because it started peeling and lifting around 8 days. So when I went to get it off, I had to wait a little, which was fine. But then I could tell they were in a hurry, because she took my gel polish off entirely with her efile, the little drill they use for acrylics. She sanded down to my natural nail and through layers of my nail in many spots. The whole process took about a minute and a half, so she clearly wasnt being careful. My nails have white spots, are very weak (I naturally have strong nails), and there are pink, shallow spots on my nail bed that I know will turn into white spots later. Come to find out later when I get home, this is NOT how youre supposed to take off gel polish. I dont care if its faster, my natural nails look terrible. Overall, Im VERY disappointed with the takeoff process, and the manicure itself wasnt good enough for me to give them a second shot. My nails are damaged.

Mar-06-2019 I go to different nail salons all around greenville, But Ive never been to one like AV Nails & Spa. I love thier country music, it definitely brings in a good vibe. Its nothing but laughter throughout the whole experience. I am definitely coming back !!

I went to AV nails to try a new place and because they had a student discount. I was greeted and seated and given the 3 rings of shellac colors. Before I even decided, the older, thinner man sat down and began pulling my hands to start. He rushed me into making a decision. Then as he started to do my cuticles, he literally cut my skin causing my fingers to bleed. Now 4 of my fingers were hacked by him. He tried to cover it up by putting something on my finger and wiping away the blood, dismissing me qhen i tried to tell him ans show him what he did to me. I will not be going back, nor would I ever recommend them. The man was rushing through, screwed up your manicure, and left me with painful, ugly looking cuts on my fingers. Thanks for a horrible experience.

I scheduled an appointment, showed up on time and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE on TWO separate a occasions. The first being the day of my appointment. There were customers that walked in after me that we immediately taken care of. There was a $10 price change when I actually got to the chair because apparently ombré nail fill in cost extra? Well I could’ve saved my $40 because only a day later a nail began cracking where my nail bed is. The next day I went to the AV nail shop on E 10th street (where I originally went) and was told the owner, who did my nails, was at the other shop so I drove all the way to Arlington blvd to get the nail fixed. By now my nail is cracked fully through and I’m in pain, also another nail was starting to crack where my fill in was also. When I asked the owner to fix the nail CAN YOU BELIEVE she told me it cracked where the person BEFORE her did my nails and I would have to be charged because she felt the ombré nails weren’t completely her work. She rudely talked over me the entire time claiming it’s not her fault but because I got ombré nails. It is now 30 minutes later, and another nail has broken off! Remember it’s only been 2 DAYS. Also, she told me herself to write this review just in case you needed a judgement on her character ladies this woman does not deserve any of your money. Customer service is not practiced here and I feel really bad for her 10th street AV nail staff because for her not to work their daily, she’s openly rude to them and not respectful of the relationship they have with their own customers because they’re expected to do what she wants when she wants them to. An example being, while I was on that almost hour wait to be seen, the owner finished up with a customer and had one of her employees GET UP from their client to check her client out. Simply rude! Never again and I will be reposting this any chance I get!
