Bad Experience - Love Dr. Nigh Father and Son. Been going to them for a few decades. Always used Visionworks since right next door. Once we picked out our frames, with no help, this lady - never gave us her name - asked what we wanted, trying to understand the differences in the buy one get one free with glare, scratch resistance... Price was very expensive. Trying to understand all the cost...comparing my currently glass with what I got. Last time same thing. Very expensive, didnt buy went back 2 weeks late and got them for $250 cheaper...same glasses...ugh...Left today after the sales person got an attitude. Went somewhere and got my two pair of glass with frames I like better for over $160 cheaper. Wont go back. Will See Dr Nigh. but dont recommend Vision Works.

I went by here because my frames had broken. They fixed them for no charge. They did a great job.

I don’t like pushy salesmen. My insurance covers everything that I needed, but the sales person tried to get me to spend an unnecessary $148. Also the selection was pitiful. He was nice, just pushy!

I absolutely love Dr Nigh at vision works they do a great job and I always am very pleased with the knowledge and interaction with the Dr. I 100% suggest this business they are professional and fun and always do an amazing job thank you to the entire staff on Lauren’s rd!!!!!

Visionworks not only took VSP (unlike some other chain eyeglass places) but there was a lot to choose from; more choices than my eye doctor. It was a little overwhelming and time consuming but the staff was helpful. We had to initiate asking questions but came away feeling good about our decision.

These guys really, really understand customer service! Probably the single best experience I’ve had purchasing anything in years. Cameren Mcnab is just wonderful! Extremely professional, knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate. All hallmarks of an amazing experience for the customer. Cameren took the time to ask and assess why I had come to Visionworks and then synthesize that information to provide excellent help navigating the purchasing experience. He not only asked if I had insurance to file, but took the time to personally call my provider and help navigate the benefits package that I could not navigate myself after having been on hold with my provider all morning. In less than 10 minutes, Cameren had solved it! The result was me learning that I had more benefit than I realized, I was able to save 50% over the local competitor, I ended up with a better in store warranty, and 2 pairs of stylish glasses vs only one! I now have a pair of sunglasses that I would have never considered if I wasn’t able to save as much on my purchase and most importantly if I was not informed of my options and possibilities. Amazing! I’m so grateful to have been treated so well and assisted through the entirety of my purchase in such a remarkable way. Lifelong customer now! Thank you Cameren!

Loved the service! I bought glasses in town before (at another shop near Visionworks) which is why I can contrast and compare.Though, at Visionworks, sales people were around nobody was hoovering, but the sales people were standing by in case I needed something. They had that classy, elegant approach vs. ignoring the client until they signal that theyll buy or the hoovering-pressuring approach. Just the perfect way, the way things used to be done 10 or 20 years ago.After I finally narrowed my choices to two pairs, Jill assisted me. She was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Also, she handled the whole covid thing in a most excellent way. Both of us wore masks but shed always give me space so I could step to one of the mirrors where I could look at myself with the new glasses without anybody being within 10 feet of me.When I picked up my glasses, there was no pressuring the client to buy cleaning solutions or anything like that. All Jill cared about was if I liked my glasses, if anything needed to be adjusted and so on. And, as I left she said, If in the coming days you find out that you need anything please stop by again, we are here to help.5 stars

I had an excellent experience at Visionworks! They are clearly taking every COVID precaution, and I felt incredibly safe while shopping for new glasses in their store. I just got two pairs of glasses from Visionworks about a week ago, and both pairs have lenses that are defective/damaged. The sunglasses I bought have scratches all over the back of a lens in under a week, even though they’ve been kept in a case and worn like 5 times. My regular glasses have what appears to be a finger print in the lens coating.I’ll consider changing my review, if they quickly and correctly resolve this, but it’s not looking good. I have a very busy schedule. Having to keep going back to this store is not convenient or easy for me.On another note, the person who helped me both times literally did not make any attempt to help me. She sat at her desk the entire time I looked at frames, not once asking if I needed any help. She literally didn’t try to engage with me at all.Update: Kevin, one of the managers, helped me resolve these issues and ordered me replacements for both sets of glasses. This time, they both appear to be correct with no defects. One week later, I have two pairs of pristine glasses. As a result, Im changing my review to 4 stars.

They were busy when I went in. The young man who helped me was very nice and helpful. Hence, the reason for the extra star. I went to pick up my glasses. It was not busy this day. She goes and get my glasses, the wrong frames. I stated those are not my glasses and she immediately starting frowning. I asked do you have the right pair because my name is pretty common. She rolls her eyes and walks away to the counter to check and really said nothing to me. She comes back and say well we have to reorder your glasses but that is your prescription but the wrong frame. How was this snotty condescending statement going to help me?No, I would not recommend this place. The way she acted as if it was my fault they put my lenses into the wrong frames, which was not even close to what I ordered including the color.

Laura is fantastic! She made our first visit to Visionworks a great experience. Shes welcoming, upbeat, and knowledgeable about glasses and contact lenses. She tailored and personalized the service for my 9-year-old. That means a lot as a parent. Additionally, they have a good selection of kid frames. My girls (9 & 11) said Laura was, AWESOME and SWEET.Conveniently, the glasses (both pair) were ready the next day. We picked them up the day after, and she remembered both of my daughters names. Thanks Laura! And thanks Visionworks staff for accommodating us from start to finish.

I recently traveled to Greenville for a job assignment. I suddenly found myself with my recently purchased from another Visionworks located in a different state. I arrived at the store expecting to be grilled about the purchase date, do I have a receipt, insurance information and the like. I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 amazing employees who obviously loved their job. Josh and Alex. They both were very engaging and extremely customer focused. They put me right at ease and assured me that they had the situation well under control and could get my glasses all fixed up right away. Josh took my glasses and before we could finish a good laugh, he had them as good as new! Alex was a great help in explaining the process while Josh made easy work of the issue with the hing on my glasses. These two are an incredible asset to the Visionworks team and should be recognized for outstanding customer service. Im not sure if this is the culture at this location or just 2 incredible team members. I do know that if my business base was in the Greenville area I would have tried to hire them away that night. We visited this location to get our son new glasses. Kevin was wonderful to us, greeted us in a friendly manner and pointed us in the right direction. He gave us our options and was not pushy at all during our decision making process. He new his brands and was very knowledgeable. The store was adequately staffed, minimizing any delay in being assisted. This is in stark contrast to any other retail glasses stores I have visited in this area lately. June, the associate who worked with me, was pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and efficient. The price I paid was fully competitive. The selection of frames was most adequate and covered a large range of prices and quality.

Kevin has been the best in helping my entire family get glasses. He helps with every aspect and detail of lenses and frames and is very knowledgeable about the manufacturers. We drive over 1 hour just to see him. There are other eyeglass companies and optometrists along the way- but we know Kevin is the best!

Went to Visionworks today after checking two or three other places. They had by far the best selection of frames and the representative that I worked with was fantastic. Josh let me take my time looking at the frames and offered me very constructive advice and help when I asked for it. They already knew how to pull up my insurance information when I told them where I worked so it was really easy to make sure I was getting the right benefits. Josh was very knowledgeable and had the right blend of easygoing friendliness and professionalism. I did not encounter anything negative at all during the visit and would highly recommend Visionworks as a great place to go to get glasses. I have purchased glasses at this store over the course of the last fifteen years. Needed help with some special reading glasses. They did not have reading glasses but were very helpful in straightening out the special glasses I had and cleaning them. New to the area but will always go here if I need eye glasses. Linda was awesome and very nice.

One of the worst experiences Ive ever had in my 30 plus years wearing glasses. They didnt have my lenses in stock and had to order them. 2 weeks later they are in, but incorrect as they didnt properly measure the optical center for the frames. Reorder lenses.. This time theyre correct but the coating fails in less than a month... Warranty covered. Over a week for new lenses.. Again. They tell me theyre ready and I go to pick them up and theyve literally lost my glasses... They cant find them. They say theyll mail them to me. Every time I come in here it is a cluster of stupidity... Ive never experienced a more mis managed store. Oh yeah.. This doesnt even count the fiasco that was my wifes contacts...Update.. My glasses showed up in the mail. Still had sharpie marks from cutting and aligning the lenses.. Smudged and sticky all over... And completely crooked.. So crooked that Ill have to go back to the store... Again...

I went in to have my glasses fixed after I sat on them and June was extremely helpful and was able to straighten them out so they fit again. Ive bought glasses there that Im pleased with and the service is good.

Dr. Nigh and his staff are EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. Dr. Nigh is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything he is, or will be doing so you are fully aware of whats going on. I did not feel like just a number here, it was actually more like family. The staff and Dr. Nigh were very thorough and fast. I didnt have to wait hardly at all, and I was actually early. After the exam I was given my prescription and explained my situation, and all my questions were answered. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Great experience!

Great store. Great people. Manager and associates genuinely care about taking care of the customers. They went above and beyond to accommodate my special and complicated requests. Even when I moved to another state they took the time and effort to work with another branch (which was not as accommodating) to get my glasses done just right. Wow. I walked into the location and was greeted very fast. I bent one of the legs on my Diesel glasses. Upper management looked at me , looked at his team, ran my profile and immediately had a new pair of glasses(replacement set on hand) for me. 15 minutes later I was out the door with a great feeling and relief of having new eye glasses.
