Dr. Ornstein and her staff were fantastic! From the first phone call to post-op everyone was helpful, organized, friendly, professional, and kind. I had multiple appointments and was never kept waiting and never felt rushed. Also, unlike any medial office I’ve ever visited, their building has floor-to-ceiling windows in exam and consulting rooms with amazing natural light and views. This is the way it should be! I’m grateful that this is place my dentist referred me and highly recommend them!

Read this before you go to Dr. Ornstein - you will be glad you did!!!My husband went to Dr. Ornstein for a molar that was causing him pain and had to be extracted. Now, I need oral surgery but I am afraid to go through what he went through. He said it was the most painful and traumatic dental experience he’s ever had. After the surgery, he was in terrible pain and he isn’t a complainer. When I called the office they said to wait 24 hours and if it persisted, she would prescribe something. That’s a long time to wait when you have unrelenting pain. My husband sat on the sofa with tears running down his face all evening. We tried all the extra strength Motrin, Tylenol etc. Literally two months later the area where the tooth was removed flared up again. He had an abscess. They worked on him and it wasn’t numbed up enough and then sent him home without any pain medication. Another night of sitting up on the sofa in agony. I understand the reasons for being conservative with pain medication, but this is over the top. I think my husband needed to be treated with kindness instead of a rigid philosophy about pain meds. I’ve just decided that even if she’s the best oral surgeon I can’t go through the trauma he did. Looking for a different oral surgeon now.

I was in need of a procedure on my tongue and Dr. Ornstein diagnosed and removed the areas of concern. She gave me directions about products to use and ones to avoid. Had an accident and broke my cheek bone and a molar. When I went for my initial visit, I left feeling like I just got done having a nice family visit. The entire staff is very personable and care and Dr. Ornstein was great. Had the surgery 3 days later to repair the cheek bone. I never experienced severe pain. First night I took an Aleve and 2 Tylenol. Not enough pain the next day to take anymore. A month later she extracted the tooth and I experienced no pain with that. It could be the homeopathic medicine, Arnica, she gives you. I would highly recommend Dr. Ornstein. Hope I never need those services again, but if I do, I will go back without hesitation.

I went there today with my two sons regarding their wisdom teeth evaluation for extractions. The negative, was the paperwork that had to be filled out in the amount of time it took to get it done before being sent to the back. To my understanding there was no way to do this electronically in advance. Now on to the positives :-) The entire staff was friendly, positive minded, personable, knowledgeable!! The doctor did a great job of explaining what we were looking at on the x-rays, what the game plan was, And just so friendly. Hopefully all goes well and real work with her will be happening soon. The staff and Dr. Ornstein are awesome!! They were able to verify with my medical insurance to be billed (had better coverage than dental) for the removal of my bottom two impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Ornstein showed me my xray and talked to me about any risks beforehand, she beautifully performed the surgery and it was super quick. She is very enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely cares for her patients! Surprisingly, after getting surgery, I had minimal pain and swelling and i’ve been having a great recovery with just some soreness. Highly recommend this place for any oral surgery!!

Went here a few years back to get my wisdom teeth out. The doctor does not have very good bedside manners. I appreciate her showing me videos to help me understand the process, but she also gave me worse case scenarios of what might go wrong during the surgery. I was too scared to go back after that.

I came in to get my wisdom teeth removed, and was a little nervous at first after hearing stories from family and friends about painful recovery and such. I was eased a little bit after they explained everything thoroughly. The procedure itself was quick and easy, about 30 minutes for me. I was taken care of well. Would recommend.

The office was very organized. They communicated clearly. They stuck to the appointment time, so you didnt have to wait. They were right on time. They were very accurate in what they did and how they were going to do it. Their after care instructions as well as pre-op instructions were very clear. They did what they said they were going to do and didnt try to add-on services that were not needed. I would strongly recommend them to all. It has been hard for us to find Doctors that we can trust but they are one of them.

Dr Ornstein was by far the best decision I made for my son. I was referred to another oral surgeon at first and didnt feel comfortable. I found on my neighborhood website great reviews of Dr. Ornstein, she was personable along with her staff. My son needed teeth exposed and brackets put on and some baby teeth pulled. She did a great job and I told my orthodontist he should refer Dr Ornstein instead.

I went there for wisdom teeth removal yesterdayPros:The surgery went very, very well. They managed to extract all 4 wisdom teeth without needing to put in stitches afterwards, the pain is minimal, and swelling is non-existent. Im feeling great already.Cons:She administered homeopathic medicine, which is pseudoscientific and predicated on the false hypothesis that water has memory of massively diluted ingredients. This reflects either ignorance or a knowing administration of a placebo (violating trust).The procedure was quite expensive for an uncomplicated (she even said it was much simpler than normal) extraction of 4 wisdom teeth. The total before insurance was about $2,500

I unconditionally recommend Renaissance Oral & Facial Surgery. A few months back I had a minor procedure done at the Dallas location. Dr. Ornstein and her staff were very helpful and friendly. How can getting 4 wisdom teeth pulled be a satisfying experience? When you have bad pain *before* they are pulled, and no pain after. First off, there is not even any discomfort getting them pulled. Second, I kept waiting for swelling or the pain that was supposed to happen around the 48 hour mark. Nada. I took some aspirin to help with any inflammation (I have a heart condition), but no other medication. Dr. Ornstein not only has a great sense of humor, she is highly efficient and has a great supporting staff. You could not choose a better oral surgeon.

Dr Sharon aside the office manager is terrible. I had an appt set, and showed up only to be told they had to have a dental referral (which they hadnt asked for at time of scheduling or appt reminder) and they wouldnt be seeing me. Of course they didnt even tell me that until after I had checked in and waited for over 45 mins. I responded stating I could get the referral immediately. Had to get emergency referral ordered and faxed over (even though this wasnt a dental issue it was a facial issue and a non-dentist ordered my maxillo referral). Once it arrived I was told dr doesnt do this. So I took off work, showed up to the set appt, was handled with the referral need, only to not be seen, and worse yet they didnt give me the name of someone who does the type of biopsies she doesnt do. In short - glad it didnt work out. As they clearly run a machine not a professional office. P.S - when i set the appt I told them what I needed done andy they said they did it. Im not some crazy / hostile reviewer and there are simply no excuses for indifference and dis-courteous client relations.

By the time I was 30 every tooth in my mouth had a crown on it. Over the next many years the decay continued under the crowns until my upper jaw had lost so much bone I had no choice but to have all teeth removed and replaced with implants and a permanent denture. My case was to be very difficult and expensive based on what other Dr.s had told me but as I met with Dr. Ornstein my comfort level went way up. I made the decision. The day of surgery went very well and the staff was extremely professional and made sure my comfort level was their first concern. My surgery lasted four hours so imagine how much Dr Ornstein had to do. Its now been three weeks and I am eating solid food. My temporary denture is beautiful, comfortable and strong. Dr. Ornstein and her staff have my highest recommendation. If you need oral surgery, implants or any type facial reconstruction please meet Dr. Ornstein. I am VERY picky but she gets FIVE STARS! VP
