Beware of billing fees. I had an eye procedure performed at Eye-Q, I was assured it was covered by my health insurance. Received a bill for $250 facility fee since this was considered an outpatient surgery. I contacted my insurance and the procedure was covered at 100% but the facility fee is related to Eye-Q. Patients should be informed of this prior to services rendered.10/1/21 Update: No representative ever reached out to reconcile this matter. Additionally, I was sent a revised bill with accrued interest. Customer service is non existent.

This is the worst place to get any eye services done. Any appointment you make here you might as well plan on staying the whole day because you’ll be here for hours. After my 4 hour annual eye appointment and glasses fitting I made the mistake for coming back for contacts. I called and Heather was amazing and got back to me right away and tried to make the process quick. However, there seems to be a disconnect somewhere. I was told I could send someone to pick up my trial lenses if need be and they would be waiting for me. Well I came in myself and for some reason I’m having to wait behind whatever patients they have. I’m not trying to just walk in in front of people, but I assumed I was just grabbing and going. Had I been told I would need to have some type of consult I would have either made an appointment or came on a day when I had more time. Again the communication here is obviously lacking. So now here I sit in the twilight zone where time ceases to exist.

Just as most people have said they have no regard for patient time. Checking in feels like Im here for an oil change for my car but I think theres more of a personal touch with that.. the people at the door just point you in the direction of the kiosk and they seem to be as thrilled to be there as everyone else, but dont you worry they make sure you pay that copay before you even sit down. You wait in one waiting room just to be moved to a second waiting room to eventually see the doctor for about 5 minutes.. this place does the job, gets you in, gets you out.. slowly.. its like youre on the conveyor belt at a factory.. no personal touch at all. The last check up they put me with a new doctor.. just to find out that doctor was on her last day there.. sigh.

I absolutely cannot STAND this place. I tell myself every year I’m never going back but they’re one of the only places that takes my insurance. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. After spending 4 hours here for an annual eye appointment I had to turn around and wait another 3 hours to go back because they had my prescription wrong! I had to fight them for an appointment in the first place because they were trying to push me about a month out for a vision recheck to correct the prescription they messed up in the first place. I’d rather go to the dmv. They might actually be more efficient than this place. Don’t come here unless you enjoy wasting your own time.

Just not very good service. The place is too large and they dont seem to care much when you walk in. On top of that, even when you make an appointment you have to wait an hour or more. Making and appointment with the doctor is also frustrating. I wouldnt recommend this location.**Edit...no manager ever reached out, and my glasses were not measured correctly, they make me dizzy.Just for the love of all glasses wearers....go to some other place! I do not recommend this place! If I can give it zero stars I would! They messed up my prescription and then took my glasses back. No one bothered calling me to let me know when my glasses will be in. I called their optical place and left several messages, which no one returned my calls. Finally I got through to someone and they told me the glasses were sent for inspection, not replacement, and that it had came back. When I went to pick up my new glasses, turns out they didn’t switch my lens out to what the dr ordered and they threw away my glasses case because apparently they don’t keep them at the office (NO ONE notified me of this). I spent hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses, now without a case. I’m so disappointed in this place! Dr. Ramirez was my Optometrist and Chris/Crystal or whatever initially helped me and the last person to help me was Rosemary.

AVOID AT ALL COSTSAbsolutely wretched place. Customer service is subpar. Slow delivery times for contacts and lenses. No one bothers to communicate with you regarding your delivery dates or late shipments.Firstly, they did not inform me that my glasses would arrive late so I went there and then they tried to act like they did call. I have a call log that says otherwise. Essentially, they were trying to suggest it was my fault that I did not guess that my glasses would arrive late.Secondly, I ordered my trials for contacts. I waited about a month to call in since I had not heard anything. When I called the contact aid MICHELLE acted as if we never went over the paper work and said she had no even ordered them. I had to wait an additional month for the contacts to arrive.Worst experience I’ve ever had while trying to find glasses/lenses.If Michelle in lenses tries to help you, walk away. She is rather slow and lacks attention to details. They hired a new aid, Heather, who is much more present.

Eye Q needs to drop their staff that cannot schedule an appointment. I dont care who you are, but if you cant take information off someone over the phone and input that into your computers, you should NOT be working with scheduling. You are causing more headaches for someone else to fix. I currently had someone input my daughters name in wrong for her appointment despite telling the information to the representative as clear as crystal; and the insurance they have under her account is not correct either, its outdated. Invest in your training upon hire, or quit taking appointments when youre severely overbooked, and make the corrections that need made.

I had a procedure here not long ago. I was happy with everything until Eye-Q let me possess somebody else information. After having a procedure. I requested a copy of my medical record which cost me 25 bucks. It took them a while to process it. I got the record shortly after.A few weeks later, I unsealed the record in order to use it for official business. That was the moment I found out that some of the pages mistakenly contained someones sensitive information such as full name, date of birth, address, and social security number.I later on called and made a complaint. The problem was resolved, and my correct medical record is on the way, yet I find this really unprofessional. I cant help but think that if they already gave my personal information to somebody else, and he or she is using it right now, or it is just a matter of time.I am once again happy having a procedure here, but not how they handle patients confidentiality.

If I could leave this place ZERO stars I would. This place is worse than the DMV. Waited 45 minutes passed my appointment time to be seen for 5 min, only to be placed in ANOTHER waiting room where I was told it would be another 30 min at least before a Dr. would see me. ZERO regard for patients time and no sense of urgency or respect. I regret coming here immensely. They value stacking patients so they can bill insurance rather than providing a normal eye care experience. Outrageous

I had an excellent experience I guess the only real issue was after being called to the back, you go to one room tell them your issues they give you an eye test, and you exit that rooms and another small waiting room and then they called you back again for an eye test and I guess check to see how bad your eyes are? Followed by another waiting room and then called back to be seen by the doctor. But I don’t know how that all works so maybe it’s typical. After the exam going to the eyeglass department and picking out my frames, and being explain to her what my insurance will cover. That was very thorough and the person that helped us was named Lynn and she was absolutely great I have my new glasses there exactly The way she had explained them to be. And has called us since with specials we may have missed, and wanted to make sure we got the best bang for our buck. Great experience

Sadly this will be my last time returning after this visit. I understand with COVID, regulations are much different and I love the safety precautions that have been put into place. So for social distancing and cleaning wise I get that it takes time between patients. But waiting for over an hour (1 hour 40 minutes to be exact) is ridiculous, more frustrating when people are called before you. I went to ask front desk about the hold up but they simply stated I will be seen next (which never happened) 4 people got called before me once again.

I had the upper eyelid surgery by Dr. Waldrop in March and went for my follow up appointment this morning. My procedure was cosmetic and I paid $2,000 out of pocket to have my eyelids lifted. I did not have a vision issue and was seeking to have a more youthful appearance despite not having much of a problem. I had a little more droop on my right eye then the left and that was what I asked Dr. Waldrop to correct.. symmetry and aesthetics being the key objectives.I explained to him that I was not satisfied with the surgery and that my right eyelid still dropped. It is not symmetrical and does not reflect the result that we had agreed on. I feel like he dismissed my assessment as being unrealistic expectations and refused to offer to fix it. He insisted that correcting the issue would be more risk that he was unwilling to take. I wish I would have gone to a professional cosmetic surgeon that has an eye for detail, symmetry and beauty. He would be fine for those just seeking enhanced vision but not a professional cosmetic procedure and his response to my complaint was in Disappointing. I do not recommend him for eyelid surgery.

Didnt think Id have much of a problem going in at 2:35 and leaving by 3:30, especially since Ive been here a couple times before and theres usually no long wait. Unfortunately, I spent an hour waiting only to go and reschedule my appointment. Drove a long way to get all the way to Fresno on what was supposed to be my day off only to be rescheduled because I had other commitments. Thought that while it was frustrating, its never happened before so it must be a bad day for them, only to look at the other reviews and find out this is a much too common occurrence. Definitely wouldnt recommend an appointment if youve got other things going on that day.

Great parking easy to get in and out of. Not so easy to get to location. But once youre there its easy to find. I picked up my long awaited frames (Gucci)glasses today with transition lenses. There were about $1000. All the goodies included. My 6.99 cheap readers fit better than my thousand dollar Guccis. I spent quite a bit of time with my consultant trying to fit the frame to my face. Upon getting home I noticed an obvious gap between my nose and the bridge are off centered and not even. Most anyone that would look at me face on would see that it is quite obvious that the glasses are off set. I am surprised and dismayed that I was allowed to leave the facility with off centered obviously off centered classes. It is very far from my home to get to this place and it is extremely inconvenient. After spending $561 and the additional charges going to insurance would make sure a customer would have a fit perfect. But that is not the case. A poor fitIf the Google forum allowed for a negative rating this particular business would be definitely a negative star ++ .Thank you for reading, have a nice day.

I waited for two hours until the supervisor realized that the contact lenses clerk took off for a break. She went in the back to pick out my ordered contact lens. It took her less then 30 sec to do that. Yet, I had wait that long. my time is not that valuable.Regarding billing, I paid for an eye exam with my credit card and received a sale slip/receipt. a couple weeks later I received a bill. I called the billing department. I told her that I have the receipt and I can read to her all the verification numbers so she can figure out the error. She told me she couldnt do that and I had to mail in a copy of my receipt and they will fix it. A month went by again I receive the same bill with interest. So again I had to turn in the receipt and write note requesting for correspondence.

I have had the same doctor for years. The exams are thorough and accurate. Like other patients, I also experienced the long line at certain times of the day/week that makes wait time unbearable. I felt the medical assessment was professional and good, with good advice. I wasnt really impressed with the contact lens or eyeglass department/selection. The extra fitting fee is lame. Some of the bad advice from sales reps costs extra money for the patient. Last but not least, I am NOT impressed by Campbelll Waldrop at all. I went to see him for cysts on my eyelids and around my eyes. He was so flippant and arrogant about it, telling me to use a warm compress. Um, no, lancing them is what gets rid of them. I rarely write reviews but this is the first time I experience anything like this.First time visit today I was referred to EYE-Q by my primary care physician. I provided the receptionist with insurance info well in advance so when I arrive I can see the doctor and go back to workI arrived 5 minutes before my 3 PM appointment and looking at the lobby there must have beed 40! people waiting. After 45 minutes I asked the receptionist why the delay but she said it was a busy day and the doctor was a little late; the gentleman besides me told me this is the norm for EYE-Q -appointment times dont matter but I assumed he was joking... Eventually, took them ONE hour before they call my name, then they guided me to a smaller waiting room to wait (again). I asked the lady how much longer I will have to wait and she said the doctor had several! people ahead of me. At that point I did not even go the other waiting room; I asked to see a manager who brought me to his office. He apologized and he said it was a busy day today and no way to expedite my wait but he will bring the issue up with his suppevisor... now it is 4:20 from my 3:00 appointment so I walked away shaking my head... what a joke of a businessAfter reading reviews in the web I realized it is not a joke. What I experienced appears to be a common occurence at EYE-Q; based on other reviews one can assume that they regularly overbook and that is part of their business model; some will get up and leave but more will stay...I am not going back but if you do:1. Prepare for a long 1 to 1.5 hours wait before you see the doctor2. When your name is called does not mean you will see the doctor; it just means you are going to a smaller waiting room to ... wait some more3. They will be very polite telling you how sorry they are and it is just this day that is so hecticI told my doctor to never refer people to EYE-Q except if they want to take 2-3 hours off their day

You will feel rushed and feel like you are inconveniencing the staff if youAsk questions. Overall the worst eye center possibly in the entire state but defiantly the worst I have been to in Fresno County. Happy with the results, but not too happy with the bait-and-switch-like tactic of advertising $1,000 per eye online and then be told in-person its $1,350 per eye, or up to $1,500 per eye if you use Care Credit.Going from $2,000 price total (so I thought it would be) to $3,000 is definitely a sacrifice when it comes time to pay bills, but, to be fair, when they told me in person that the price would be $1,350 or $1,500 per eye, they didnt pressure me at all into saying yes, and they said I could even take my time and call them back, and, obviously (since I said Im happy with the results), I still went through with the procedure despite the pricing (because Ive been wanting it for so long!).p.s. they did explain (after I asked) that the $1,000 per eye advertisement is if you undergo surgery with a metal blade (if youre a candidate), and that the higher prices are for undergoing Intralasik (with a laser), but I couldnt find on the website where it said that when I first got excited about $1,000 per eye.

My appointment was scheduled at 9:15 am on 12/14. I spent 2.5 hours waiting to be seen by the doctor I was referred too. Hearing multiple patients in the waiting room discuss their growing frustration about waiting for 2 + hours as well for their appointment. I understand over booking as well as being shorthanded with staff. As we all know this has know become common practice for most medical appointments. So waiting for an hour is common place, but waiting 2.5 hours and then walking out due to prior commitments is completely unacceptable. People take time off of work to make these appointments and have other commitments scheduled around medical appointments. There is a cost associate with everyones time in that waiting room, yet they want to charge $50.00 for a no show. This is rude, unprofessional, and no way to treat a client. I am amazed that they remain in business with these practices.

Doctor was pleasant and so was the office staff.Scheduling an appointment wasnt bad and I understand that scheduling an appointment with an Ophthalmologist will take some time - which I didnt have an issue with; unfortunately, during the scheduling process, I was not informed that my eyes were going to be dilated - if I would have known I would not have agreed to an appointment at 7:50 AM nor would I have driven myself to the appointment. Fortunately the lady in the back office was able to reschedule me for the afternoon, where I was able to coordinate with work and my husband. For the afternoon appointment I was never checked in. Fortunately an employee from the back went to the front, and I overheard him asking a lady up front if I have checked in for my 3:20 appointment - I was eventually seen a little after 4.I already see an optometrist to existing vision problems, so I thought this was going to be a little more in depth than a routine eye exam. My PCP decided to refer me to a specialist as I had experienced a recent Ocular Migraine and wanted to make sure I didnt have any underlying secondary autoimmune diseases that would impact my eyes (I already have an existing auto immune disease, which is something I assumed would have been included in the medical records that were sent over, along with my doctors concerns to have the issue looked into). Ultimately I was so agitated with the scheduling portion, I forgot to specifically ask the doctor if he saw any issues in terms of autoimmune diseases in addition to contributing factors to Ocular Migraine. I dont believe this issue was ever explored - as I confirmed with my call into the office this morning. With that said, I am not 100% sold on revisiting this office in the future. Although everyone was pleasant, there were failures on different levels which makes me not so confident in the treatment I would receive in the future should I be diagnosed with any additional issues.

I guess they forgot to charge me one of the fees. This is just a minor annoyance in the whole scheme of things, but I feel like they should have just eaten the minor cost rather than track me down a month later. Absolutely the worst. Scheduled our appointments a year ago (my husband and I both at the same time). Took the day off from work and drove the 35 miles from home to office only to be told that for some unknown reason the Dr. had rescheduled our appointments. Unfortunately he/his staff did not bother to notify us. The best they would do for us was try to work us in with another doctor, but we were told it could be several hours as the doctor did not just reschedule us without notification, but apparently his entire schedule for that day. Certainly a lot of unhappy customers and although courteous, the Eye-Q staff didnt seem to be overly bothered by inconvenience to their customers and in fact the only direction I got from them was if I decided not to come in on the rescheduled date I should make sure to call and cancel. Amazing, I am expected to operate under a much higher level of consideration for them then they did for us.

Had an appointment for my six month old daughter at 12:30 they dilated her eyes and made us wait until 2:30. And was still not seen by the doctor. The nurse had told me they had 31 patients that had appoinments that same day. Never ever will i go there again or recommand anyone to them👎🏽😠

The wait time here was ridiculous. They move you from room to room. Its extremely loud in the building. I will never go back again.

Deceptive, they will not tell you what the patient charges will be. Don’t go here. Check with your insurance first.
