Needed to have a small lesion (3mm) removal and biopsy at my primary care physician’s request. First appointment took around 7 minutes and nothing was explained to me, just numbed my arm and cut off the top of the lesion. At the front desk I was told I owed them over $450 and that they’d call me when results came back. I nearly passed out while also being furious. Later I called the office and they filed with my insurance, so the bill dropped by $100. The office manager was kind enough to let me exchange my check for a lesser one, so thank goodness for her.A few days later I was contacted and told the lesion was a carcinoma and it needed to be fully removed. Funny thing is that I already thought this, but they wouldn’t just remove the whole thing at the first appointment. Thankfully, I got a quick appointment and had the second “surgery” and it only cost an additional $420+. I thought the bills were paid until last week, when I received another bill for $95.Unless you want to be raked over the coals, avoid this place. It’s a total rip off and I will NEVER go here again. (Too bad I’m so angry because my internal stitches are still poking out of my arm, five weeks later, but I’d rather have that than go have them charge me to look at them or remove them again.) The Good news: my crummy insurance saved me about half of what was billed (over $1600). If you’re self pay, you’d be screwed. Avoid this place. Go anywhere else and ask for pricing before they cut into you.

I want to note that my 1 star review is 100% based on my interactions with Dr.Perryman and NOT the nursing staff or front desk staff. Nurses and front desk staff were friendly, amazing and kind and my review has nothing to do with them at all. I’ve debated writing this for some time but due to recently seeing another doctor I feel like it’s important to others for me to share my experience here.Im going to make this as short as possible:-I had weird markings appear on my body randomly. Went to teledoc dr because it was convenient plus we are in a pandemic and they advised that I see a dermatologist in person because the markings were similar to lupus and that needed an in person visit to verify or at least gain insight on. My GP advised exactly the same.-I could not make an in person visit the same week so I made one for the week after. By then markings were gone but I had pictures (which front desk said was fine btw) and also wanted to address my worsening eczema.-day that my appointment comes, front desk is awesome and super friendly. The nurse I had was so sweet and really friendly. Everything was great until Dr.Perryman arrived if I’m being honest here. She immediately brushed me off and scolded me for seeing a teledoc dr first and for showing up without the weird markings still on my skin. She declined to take a look at the pictures I had and didn’t really care to give me any insight on it. Within the first 5 mins she already wanted to wrap up my appointment. I addressed that I was also here for my worsening eczema and that I wasn’t sure what to do about it. She told me that I didn’t have eczema, I had acne, then wanted to prescribe me something I already told her I tried (it failed). When I told her it was eczema and I’ve had it since I was a child, this was something many doctors have confirmed in the past she just got annoyed and prescribed me a different type of cream.-I just felt so embarrassed, confused, and brushed off. I’ve never felt this way with any doctor. Maybe she was just having a bad day, we all have them, but from the jump she made me feel unwelcomed and stupid for even making an appointment.I also want to add that recently I went to a different dermatologist who actually listened to me and my concerns. YES I do have eczema and not “bad acne”. We also confirmed that I didn’t have lupus but just a really bad soy and dairy allergy causing my weird markings and worsening eczema. I feel like if Dr.Perryman just gave me the opportunity to feel heard in this appointment we could have found a way to find this information out sooner. Instead I left feeling embarrassed and I acknowledged. I don’t think it was fair to be treated this way, especially by a health professional.I really hope no one else has had this same experience with this doctor, especially since the rest of the staff was so awesome. I would love to come back for the staff but probably will not just due to this experience.

Highly suggest having a pre authorization sent to your insurance company for ANY procedures. My 21 year old daughter was seen for a procedure that our family has received in the past from several other providers, with the same insurance plan and we have NEVER seen such a high out of pocket expense after insurance was billed. I reached out to the office three weeks ago and spoke to Michelle asking if charges could please be re-evaluated. After not receiving a call back, I called again only to be told that Dr. Ecker is sticking to his fees. Although the codes submitted are technically “allowable” it seems they are definitely stretching the limits by using codes that allow for higher charges (almost $3000 for stitches!). In an attempt to reduce our overall out of pocket cost we inquired about pay in full or college student discounts. Unfortunately, they offer neither. Feeling very dissatisfied with the billing process at this office.

Let me start by saying the front desk and check out ladies are amazing and were the only reason I did not get up and walk out. This was the worst office visit I have ever had. I have worked in healthcare and I know the struggles of making patients happy and feel comfortable but seriously? they did not even try. I brought in my two almost three year old daughter for a check on a mole that our doctor seemed to be concerned about, so naturally as her mother I was concerned to. The MA who called us back did not listen to a word I said. She asked us very basic normal questions and did not even care to listen to my answers or ask the needed questions to find out the answer to her questions. She asked me if a note needed to be sent to my daughters pediatrician. I said I am not sure you would know better than me the process for that (as I do not know). She then asked me the name of our pediatrician and I gave her very clearly the doctors last name as I did not know his first name (He is new to us). I then proceeded to give her the name of the clinic he is at so she could find it real fast and she was SO RUDE! she says well I am going to have to go google it. I was so taken back at her tone I didnt even know what to say so I said nothing. She leaves the room and proceeds to talk negativity about me with the other MAs and the DOCTOR! on the other side of the door. HELLLO patients can hear you! I looked up the first name of the doctor in 2 seconds and quickly open the door to inform the MAs. If the MA in the room had been nice or caring we could have literally looked this information up together very quickly and this would not have even been an issue.... this was just the start. Then the doctor come in and BEFORE even looking at my daughter tells me.. Im going to just tell you right now this mole is normal and I am not concerned at all, Most pediatricians dont know what they are looking at when they raise concern No duh lady..... he isnt the dermatologist you ARE! anyway. she then proceeded to say but I am going to look at it under this thing anyway just to be sure. So she does.. and then tells me its normal. which is great news for us. she was short and rude and then left the room.So let me tell you. I am boiling about the way I was treated. You did not treat me like a human with concerns for her daughter. You treated me like an idiot who doesnt know what she is talking about. Well NEWSFLASH I dont and neither do your other patients thats why we come to you. TO LEARN! So next time show some compassion, and think about how you are talking or NOT talking to your patients.I will not be coming back here and you can bet I will do everything in my power to make this my pediatricians office stops recommending you.

The PA prescribes medications that are very expensive and then acts very surprised when I state that I do not want to pay $400+ to fill a monthly prescription. My pharmacist informed me that in a slightly higher MG dosage the prescription would be a fraction of the cost. Once you get it figured out how to fill the prescription at a reasonable price and then it does not work the PA gets upset when you ask for something different. BEWARE if paying out of pocket! When I had some scar tissue removed from my shin this summer, I was told the procedure would cost around $250. After budgeting for the expense, the procedure wound up being over $640, which I paid on the spot, feeling totally baffled but too embarrassed to say anything at the time. After I returned to have my stitches removed, I received a bill in the mail and was assessed an additional $91. I addressed my concerns with the office manager and asked to be set up on a payment plan for the remaining $91, spreading my payments out over the next three months. I did this mostly because I was upset and thought, “Ha-ha! I’ll show them!”I set the plan up in November and admittedly forgot to make the first months payment. I called in December, made a payment of $30, and planned to pay the remaining $61 in January. I recently received a nasty letter, dated January 2nd, from their billing department, stating that I would soon be turned over to collections! The bill previously sent to me did not list a due date and I was assured the payment plan would be acceptable to the office. I am absolutely livid about this entire situation. And rather than call the office again, I’ve simply sent my check in the mail, and will air my grievances on social media. There are so many options for dermatologists in Fort Collins: I would highly suggest choosing a different practice.BUT, if you are seen here and ever have a “misunderstanding” with this office, not to worry! For your $400+ inconvenience, they can offer you some of the dermatological products they carry!

Ive had skin issues due to allergies for years and have visited a ton of dermatologists in the multiple cities I have lived. Dr. Hultsch was really patient, listening to all my questions and asking questions about what has been done in the past until she narrowed down what is probably going on and gave me a bunch of options - that are all working. I learned that if a dermatologist is 50 minutes late dont even go in, the doctor needs to make up time and it will probably be with you. I think the doctor spent 3-4 minutes with me at the most. She fixed one of the 5 areas of concern. Didnt check out my body or scalp for anything else, just my arms. No apology from the nurse or the doctor for being 50 minutes late. Had trouble getting her freezing thing to work. She couldnt even get rid of a 1/8 mm wart. Wouldnt do anything for a small sebaceous cyst on my face, recommended going to a plastic surgeon. She took a biopsy of a sebaceous cyst on my arm and the nurse said she would call me in a couple of days. Week and a half later calls back and tells me it was negative. I didnt want it burned anyway. I just wanted it cut out. Just another way to bill extra. Cost was about double what I spent at other dermatologists visits with more time spent and more work. Would never go back there.

A couple weeks following I noticed a mole on my face that I just didnt like I didnt think anything of it but I wanted it removed. So I made another appointment at Dr. Hultschs office to get it removed. The nurse said werent you just here? I have seen all 3 of the providers here, over a couple year period. In my opinion, all 3 display a bit of an arrogant attitude, and are certainly not caring. After my 2 latest visits, I will never go back. The 1st was with Dr Hulch. I was left in a room, naked in a gown for 45 minutes. No one came to tell me she was running late or check in on me. When she finally came in, the appt was rushed (I was in for an annual skin check). I had a list of questions, she said she didnt have time for that & Id need to come in for another appt. 3 weeks later, I came in again for a skin issue that was not addressed by Dr Hulch. This time I saw Tracy. She said I had eczema. Her attitude was arrogant. She also had the freezing tool, and did not freeze the main spot on my back I had wanted. After the 10 ish tiny spots she did on my legs(which she had said would be 3 or 4), I asked her how much more it would cost to do one more spot (on my hand or back). She said, I dont know...probably another $100; Id have to do 10 more!. I will NEVER visit this office again, and would highly recommend that you dont either.

I would save your time and deductible pay for another dermatology clinic in town. I had multiple visits with this clinic and each visit left me frustrated and amazed at the rudeness of the health providers. Traci Wilke, PA-C, began my appointment without introduction. She thought I was there for injections while I was there something completely different. It wasnt until I could get a word in to let her know that she was mistaken that she realized she was in the wrong room. I have a strong family history of skin cancer, but she ignored this and barely looked at my skin saying looks fine to me. When I went to a different office 6 months later, they opted to remove a spot and have it tested. When I asked for another provider, the front staff continued to schedule me with Traci. When I finally saw Dr. Hultsch, she made me feel guilty for changing providers. The staff then scheduled my next appointment with Traci when I specifically asked for Dr. Hultsch.
