I called needing an urgent appointment and was given an appointment on the spot. Drove right over and was greeted so warmly. This office made me feel so comfortable and truly cared for. This dental office exceeds any expectations I had walking in. Youre greeted with a smile from Brandi and Amy and given 5-star service from start to finish. I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years and thought I would find one for a cleaning. Dr Allen took the time to go over everything and make sure I knew exactly what he was talking about showing me as he went through each step of a comprehensive exam. Samantha was great too! She made me feel very relaxed and got to know me. She made it seem like I have a friend I’ve known forever there. The front desk ladies were very nice and made sure I had everything I need. Everyone was concerned to get my name correct and went as far as making a note in my chart on how to say it so that nobody would get it wrong. This office is awesome 10/10 recommend it!

Im a gray haired grandpa with 11 grandchildren (and 2 on the way). Needless to say, Ive been to many a dental office in my day, and have never experienced the likes of Caring Smiles—the name says it all! Ive had work done by both Dr. Allen and Dr. Lindsey. Each of them is fabulous! I also love all the rest of the staff! I dont believe Ive ever had the privilege—before going to Caring Smiles—of working with a professional staff (in any industry) where every single employee was both completely competent and also friendly, patient, and obviously caring. And they even communicate clearly. I mean, how often, these days, do you go anywhere where everyone you see greets you with a warm, cheerful smile and instantly goes out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Like I said, the name says it all!

This is the best dental practice I have ever experienced. From the front desk to the back, it is obvious that everyone loves their job and works on the same team. It has a family feel. I tend to have some anxiety in the dentist chair, especially when I have to have a difficult procedure done. I moved into town and he was recommended to me. I already knew I needed a crown and two fillings and wasnt feeling too excited about that because I have a tiny mouth and the crown was needed for a very back molar. Dr. Allen was so expert in his work he got it done quickly and efficiently. He and his assistant were so kind, and patient in their care that I didnt experience any anxiety at all. I would highly recommend Caring Smiles to anyone.

Went to my first dentist appointment in nearly 8 years so was very nervous. Everyone here (I interacted with the office assistant, dental assistant, dential hygienist and Dr. Ken Allen) was welcoming. I didnt feel judged (for such a long period with no dental care) and I felt comfortable and empowered during my entire visit. I will be keeping Dr. Ken Allen as my regular dentist and wont be waiting another 8 years!

Instead of telling me I needed work that I dont really need, Dr. Mortensen told me that a cavity I have still has solid enamel & that it could fill in by using a fluoride mouthwash.

I heard that other dentists come here for their own care, so I tried it out and am SO glad I did. Everyone in the office is incredibly friendly. They are really accommodating with requests (e.g., I was deemed low risk which means a dentist would not look at my teeth every appointment, but when I expressed that I prefer to be cautious and preventative, they happily scheduled me with a dentist at every cleaning). Hearing this, the dentist took time to point out small concerns that were relevant to me taking preventative measures such as a nighttime mouth guard (no other dentist before or after this location have pointed these out). AFTER switching to a different dentist due to an insurance change, I deeply regretted it and, having known how my future experiences would go, would have gladly paid out of pocket to continue going here for the good service and their ability to prevent larger long-term costs such as cavity repair. Finally, if you like a personable touch, when they moved locations, they knew how much we all love their giant fish tank and sent everyone a letter letting us know that 1. the fish tank will move too and 2. other details that any other office would have listed first.

I can say without a doubt that this is the best dentist in Northern Colorado. From the moment we met, when my brother broke his tooth and they were the only dentists we could reach in such an emergency, they were compassionate and genuinely cared about the situation. They have been very understanding with my TMJ condition and have worked with me every time I go in to make sure I am comfortable and not in pain. Dr. Allen is by far one of the nicest men I have ever met and always has my best interest at heart. This office deserves the title Caring for the staff has always been to lovely to work with and really listens to me and understands my needs. I cant recommend them enough and know anyone who goes into this office will leave with a smile on their face and will feel they are truly cared for!

Was told by a less reputable dentist I needed almost $1000 worth of fillings. Got a second opinion here and I didnt need any of it. Just monitored a few spots that have been stable for the past five years, and so far none of them have turned into cavities. You can trust Dr. Allens assessment. He wont tell you to get unnecessary work done, but when something is needed he does it right. I needed a crown after one of my back teeth split along a previous filling (done by a different dentist). I flew to Colorado from where I was going to school in Texas because it was worth it to me to know it was done right by a dentist I trust. Barely felt the needle for the local anesthetic and no pain at all during the crown. My mom also got a crown from Dr. Allen and one of his own techs couldnt tell the difference between the crown and a real tooth because they match the color to you so perfectly. Cant say enough good things about this place.

The staff and dentists at Caring Smiles are truly exceptional! Dr. Allen and his staff take excellent care of their patients. I had a crown put on and when I wasnt perfectly happy with the color, they took the time to replace it at no cost and get it just right, no hesitation!

While I liked Dr. Allen, he was insistent that I get a procedure not covered by insurance. I had already had this procedure done once and it was ineffective. I paid $500 the first time and he wanted to charge me another $600...out of my pocket. He refused to do any of the dental work I needed and covered by insurance, until I allowed him to do this other procedure. I found another dentist who had no problem doing the other work without this procedure. I dont remember the name of the procedure, but its supposed to reset your bite. I had 3 years of adult orthodontia for that very purpose. Also, if insurance doesnt cover it, I question its efficacy.

I have had my teeth cleaned many times but this was the most gentle and thorough ever. Thank you Stacy and Caring Smiles!

Dr. Allen was referred to us by our daughter who had been going to him after we moved to Fort Collins. We were so happy to find a dentist we TRUSTED! He takes the time to answer every one of our questions. His staff is not just friendly and competent, they EXCELL at their jobs. After having been a patient for about five years I fell down a flight of stairs and needed a great deal of dental work over a period of three years. Dr. Allen worked with a team to make sure I had the best smile after my teeth were put back together. Every person in the office is exceptional. They encouraged me. They handled the insurance which became complicated. Even when he was no longer on our plan we went to him because we TRUSTED his detailed, perfectionistic care for the best smile I could have after the accident. About a year ago, I found myself not only in tons of tooth pain, but also overcome with the anxiety that goes along with knowing the time is long overdue to see the dentist.My wife urged me to go see Dr Allen. She had seen him once already and thought that his dental care quality and genuine warm attitude was exactly what I needed. I reluctantly went in to see him and after the first visit, my anxiety of going to see the dentist was over. He did a great job of getting work done immediately to get me out of pain, and then calmed my nerves even more by explaining to me what his thoughts were about additional work I needed to have done. It was not only his excellent work he did, but also the positive attitude that he always had that made me comfortable to go see him. I had many visits over the past year, with the most recent being just a week ago, and always had the same great experience with him, and the entire staff.I have never had any problems with billing or appointment scheduling and the front desk staff always has a smile to greet me with :) I will certainly recommend them to family and friends.

I wish I would of known about Dr. Allen when I started having issues with my TMJ, because the previous doctor did not take the time nor care that Dr. Allen has from day one. I have spent hundreds of dollars to be told by my previous TMJ doctore that nothing can be done except for the extreme and then it still wasnt a fix for me. Dr. Allen has taken the time to actually find out what my issues are and the care to go along with it. He is the best dentist for TMJ issues by far in Northern CO without a doubt!
