When I went in to get a new account I was greeted with excellence. I had never been in a security service before. Mrs. Brandy helped me set everything up had a wonderful conversation with me and was very helpful with the whole process, she even did it with a smile! She is a wonderful lady and I count on every time I walk in she is there to help me out! What a wonderful group of staff! I definitely recommend this bank!

When moving to a new location or town, there are many stressful things that must be completed on your “to-do” list and deciding on what Bank to trust with your everything is a critically important selection. After carefully reviewing several area banks and credit unions, I selected a few to visit and thankfully ended up stopping here as my first visit to get a feel. Well, I’m writing this because I was most pleasantly surprised by not only an incredible building/facility, but the overwhelmingly friendly and most assuredly family oriented customer service blew me away. It took my memories back to my childhood when i would go to the bank with my grandfather, a much simpler time.I didn’t hesitate to join this Federal Credit Union not simply because of the endless benefits derived from membership in a Federal Credit Union, but the three friendliest, knowledgeable and just outright AWESOME people I was honored to have met Thursday September 22nd, 2021. This Location in Fort Collins has been the best experience. I have been so impressed with Ross and Robert from the beginning. I have our mortgage, auto loan - with extended warranty, lines of credit, insurance(car and home), .......etc and they saved my family a great amount. I really approached this location because it was close to my house but after banking with them for over an year and a half I would say even if you half to drive across town to get there you will be amazed. From power protected accounts to a free cashier’s check every month. They’ll notarize forms for you quickly and easily. There’s nothing they don’t handle for me when I need it. They make everything so easy when it comes to banking. They’re mobile app is user friendly and gives you ease of access to your accounts. They are also highly aware of account activity. They’ve locked my account twice, one of which was my own charges that didn’t match up with normal account activity and one was theft that they caught before I did!! Super helpful in dealing with those issues and provided quick support. It’s so comforting to know they’re looking out for me and my money. Been a member for almost 5 years and have zero plans to take my business elsewhere.

Each time without fail a warm greeting and a great smile was their opening to you the customer, every time, without fail. Great character in each one of them.Business side of this, I have come pretty close to trying out everything they offer. ALL WAS 100 %....easy to accomplish. If each one that reads this, was honest...how does that compare with where you bank today?Any kind of loan I needed in any of these years, it was granted.Grandmothers kind words were, You will receive what you deserved in life if you treat people with honesty and kindness. For the negative feed back, folks.....sorry...but it begins with the person who walked in, as the customer. A little respect and clearly stated what you need, they will be on it and you will be happy when leaving...House mortgages were great...refinance this past year, 2020, seriously was the best deal on this planet. Friendly branch staff doesnt make up for a long history of unannounced policy changes, surprise locking of debit cards, mistakes on travel alerts and increased fees every year. Phone support folks are abrupt and have an attitude that they could care less if youre their customer. After three years Im switching back to my old credit union.

I have banked with another credit union for years. On 2/14/20 I went to my bank and was treated terribly. My husband has our car loan and banks through Security Service. I told them about my experience at my bank (Canvas) and they were mortified. We went through the loan process got me a great rate and I got my jeep for Valentines day. I will be closing all my accounts at my bank and transferring everything over to Security. Thanks for restoring my faith in banks!!!!

I have been with this credit union for over 15 years now and whenever I have an issue, they continue to amaze me. Once, I deposited a large check through the mobile app not knowing that they would hold it for 2 days. I called the call center number and explained to them that this check was to go to my rent and it was imperative that I could get it without the hold. The gentleman I spoke to talked to his supervisor and released the hold for me! I literally almost cried from happiness. Now I know the rules and I probably wont submit a large check through the app again. I love the new hours they have accommodating the people who work. Before, they used to not be open on Saturdays and now they are! Everyone at the bank itself greets me with a smile and helps me immediately. I have now opened a secured credit card with them to help build my credit, and they were also able to supply my 14 yr old with a card attached to my account, so she can use it for emergencies.I have had no problems with this bank and when I do, they see to it to help me in any way possible. I am very satisfied with this credit union and I will continue to do all my business with them for years to come.

I could not be more happy with SSFCU. I ran into a issue and was impressed by how they handled the solution. Nikki the branch manager and Lauren the asst. manager dropped what they were doing and immediately got on it. They communicated with me every day to let me know the status of the resolution. Got me THE BEST interest rate on my new car of anywhere I applied. Also then approved me for my highest limit credit card, that also happened to have the lowest interest rate of any credit card I have. I would highly recommend, and I am now shopping for a home and will give Security Service the chance to earn my mortgage business first as theyve earned it and proven to me they want my business.

We love this bank. We moved all our accounts here the first of the year from Wells Fargo after 20 years. This bank is far better at customer service and getting things done than Wells ever was. This was my first time getting a loan through a bank and I had no idea what I was doing and Brandy helped me though all my troubles and made sure I was well taken care of.

Im astounded by how this company conducts their business. I purchased a new car from a dealership, the financing was arranged through SSFCU. When you call their local phone number, after a 20 minute wait, you get an out of state call center with very rude and not helpful people. When I tried to process my $370 car payment, first I got lectured on how I should do it online. I explained I was driving and on my cell, then I got a lecture about their mobile app, like I should download their app and make a mobile payment while driving. Then I was told they could only process the payment as Western Union, which would add an additional fee. So I had to drive to the location in person to make the payment, where I was informed that they would process the payment as a cash advance which might incur charges from my bank. So, after thinking a bit, I realized, hey, when I call my bank, someone at my bank answers. If I need to make a payment, they take my money. They do not redirect my call to a call center, they do not add additional fees, they do not act rude and insult me. This place offered my $200 cash to move my account to their bank. I wouldnt move my account to this bank for $2000. Not only am I not opening an account here, but I have an appointment at my bank to arrange a buyout of the loan, so I can refinance through my bank that actually understands customer service and has kept my business for 10 years by not adding fees to my transactions. Avoid this institution at all costs.

Pretty terrible auto loan experience, will not be using them in the future. They require documentation showing that you have the correct auto insurance every time it expires, which is perfectly acceptable and fine. Where they fail is by forcing you to upload the document to a third party website which is specifically meant to look like a fake web site. If you fail to upload the documentation to the fake web site they can charge you thousands of extra dollars on your loan. Shady way to conduct business.

Two stars for todays service.SSFCU has one teller for Saturday morning, I understand that.What I dont understand: Once it was determined that one transaction of the person ahead of me could not be performed, why didnt the manager step away and let the transaction that could be performed be completed.That way the line of customers (me and the others building up behind me) could have kept moving. Thats what should have happened, but did not.Once the transaction of the person ahead of me that could be completed was done, they could have moved away and talked about the transaction that couldnt be completed without making everyone else wait.

Bait and switched us into a terrible high interest loan. They pretend to be your friendly local bank, but they are just a slimy as of the rest. Dont be fooled

I have had checking, savings, and loan accounts at Security Service and have always had excellent service and great rates. This is a very friendly, helpful branch...I dont understand some of the negative comments here because they are opposite of my own.

I have never been involved with a financial institution that cares for their customers like SSFCU does. A special thank you to Cassandra at the Fort Collins branch. Her help with our auto loans as saved us thousands $$$. I tell everyone that this is the only place you should go for your banking and auto loan needs. As far as my checking and saving transactions I have always had the same exceptional service from each and every SSFCU employee. Thank you for making our lives easier!

Just paid my first payment on a car loan. They used Western Union to process the payment and then charged me the fee for using Western Union.

Worst customer service from a bank! They fee you for cashing a check, fee you if you close an account. So glad I never opened an account here!
