Marlene has been beyond helpful in not only setting up new accounts for me but also imparting general financial advice on how to build my credit and manage my cards. I’m so impressed with their professionalism and ease of establishment and the tiered savings account is way better than at my old credit union! It’s too bad the debit cards aren’t better quality, though.

AVOID THIS CREDIT UNION AT ALL COSTS. They are like basically any other for profit bank. Except they have customer service that is the equivalent to PayPal automated line. They will literally waste atleast an hour of your time every time. Your better off using an internet bank based out of Nigeria.

Absolutely the best banking experience I have had. This location has a team of Allstars! They literally turned a bad day, for me, into a positive day. Every experience with the personal bankers here at this location has been a fulfilling, over the pass year. I really thought I messed up, and they resolved everything above and beyond expectations. Im proud to be a member of the branch! Thx for being Awesome!

I called the Fort Collins Branch to see what information i would need to bring in to start a free business acct. The man that answered asked for my information because i do have a personal acct with them. I asked them what i needed to bring in for opening a business acct. He asked me is it a LLC i said no it is not and he said he didnt know what i would need and transferred me to someone else. The man that transferred me did not inform the other person why i was transferred and i had to go through the stride again. The lady then asked me if it was a LLC i said no its a soul proprietor business and then proceeded to list all their options they had for business accts. I already know which acct i want to start i just wanted to know what paperwork i need to bring in so i dont have to make two trips to the bank. This is the worst service i have gotten from this bank. I will be looking for another bank to start my business actt with.

Ive been a member here since Norlarco, but after visiting 2 branches today, unsuccessfully. Im thinking about taking my business account elsewhere. I was worried after partnering with CSU/name change to Canvas, and now I see why. They have grown to big, no time for the little guy anymore. Looking for local better banks!!!

Tried getting some quarters for the laundry machine. They inform me that I can only get $10 because of the coins shortage. Walks to the cashier, nop they cant do it since I am not a member. Drives to wells fargo and I get $30 in quarters. I guess theres no coins shortage at wells either. If I was to choose to open an account between the 2 banks, guess which one Id pick!

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I just came in to open a business account. They ran my credit without informing me they were doing it or my consent. Illegal and will be filing a BBB complaint.

This place is amazing. The customer service is outstanding. I’ve been coming here for a year to pay off my car, and Allison has been more than helpful. She is supportive, kind, and always there to help. She is one of the best customer service people I’ve ever met in this establishment. I recommend her because of her kindness and her customer service. Overall this is just a great place. Thank you Allison for being so supportive and helpful

Fun story: I work in an office across the lot and needed cash for the vending machine, which only accepts $1 and $5 bills. I walk over to Canvas, withdraw $20 from their ATM, and head inside to get change. (My bank will reimburse the ATM fee). The teller asks if Im a member -- I am not. To my surprise, Im told they cannot break my $20 bill. Seriously? He asks a manager. Yep, cannot exchange my U.S. currency because Im not a member. Just a policy, sorry. Cool, well youve just ensured that I will NEVER be a member of this credit union. Slam dunk customer service!

I set up my signature loan with Ademar who’s moved to another location and today Zoe helped me out with making a payment on that loan. Ademar was fantastic and Zoe did a fantastic job. I love Canvas CU and have never experienced anything but an exceptionally friendly, helpful group of staff. Shoutouts to Zoe for getting things taken care of today! She also has a rad high-five!

I purchased a new truck and they sent me to this credit union. I have to say the interest is great, however they do not send out bills or provide coupons to remind you of important information. So, it is on me, ( at the ripe old age of 55, I am left to my memory to remember when the payment is due, what my account number is and where to send it ). Sure, I could write it down and stick it somewhere safe, but all too often I forget where I put things and forget to look for them. Hmmm, even an email would be more helpful.

This is in reference to a request for a signature loan to consolidate my debt.I’d have a great relationship with the Boardwalk branch; a few weeks ago myself and a family remember applied for a decently sized signature loan. It was declined for our own reason, no issue. The Research branch is closer to home so after laying down accounts myself and another family member applied for a second signature account at the Research branch. Details aside, that was declined; the banker appealed and we made it happen. While the Boardwalk Canvas CU branch was great I can’t say enough great things about the Research branch. When we walked in the first time they were swamped; I asked Ademar if he could help us out. He quickly cleared what he needed to do and we cracked on.Ademar specifically was incredibly friendly from the start. I have noticed bankers at Canvas CU scanning the lobby to make sure all customers are taken care of; Ademar did the same. Through the loan application process he was super friendly, eager to help And clearly understood the loan process.Again the first loan was denied- Ademar had the experience to look at the denial and ask for it to be re-reviewed. This set the Research branch apart from Boardwalk. Ademar took the time to review the denial and re-submit the app with different parameters.Long story short while I was approved for less than the amount I requested I was still approved and that touched my heart! I appreciate Ademar going above and beyond his job to help me out. He was a friendly and personable guy throughout the process of course but he really seemed to want me to succeed. When I came in to sign off on the paperwork he kept the time for me to not only understand what I was signing but also to help me plan out my future to the best of my abilities. He is (as I understand) not a licensed financial counselor or planner, but he gave me excellent advice based on his scope of practice.I have called into Canvas CU a few times- initially you will get a call center who will then call the branch employee you need. They talk a big game about employees and members being family. For what it’s worth, Ademar 100% helped me feel like customer/financial family when it came to my requesting a loan; going to bat for me for said loan and also helping me understand Canvas CU operations.Summarily, Canvas has a lot of great people working for them. If I can call out Ademar for being exemplary in every definition of the word I am happy to do so. While a Canvas is a great organization it’s folks like Ademar who (in my experience) keep people coming back. While I didn’t get what I requested he helped explain why, and what I need to do to get there. It’s important to not just help the customer feel appreciated (he did) but also to give them a realistic view of their situation and how Canvas can help the customer succeed. It’s not Canvas’ job to just give me what I want; it’s up to my to build a solid foundation for my own success. Canvas and especially Ademar helped me along the path to success, and explained what I can do to get there. Also shoutouts to the underwriting staff who were willing to take a second look at my standing after Ademar made the request. I genuinely feel that there is a comprehensive team at work to do what is best for the customer.Ademar is a genuinely remarkable fellow, and I am sure he could kill it at any job where he would apply. I am very grateful and appreciative that I was able to work him through Canvas to get my life back on track! ZA

Extremely slow bank. Whether it is due to being understaffed during peak hours, or just simply slow teller work, it takes way longer than I would ever like to spend in a bank. I understand trying to be friendly, but do so while also being quick and efficient please.

I had an account with PSCU for several years and finally switched to a different bank.Heres what I liked about them:1) Like any credit union, they dont seem like a gross corporation.2) Their tellers can be hit or miss, but in general they were very friendly.3) Labradorite granite counter topsHeres what I didnt like about them:1) Their website is significantly worse than average. It used to be quite archaic, yet usable. They recently updated it, and went through a transition period of more than a month in which it was barely functional. The authentication redirects to a third party popup that gives the impression the site has been hacked. It made me quite uncomfortable to log in with it, and it didnt have an account picture/phrase like other banks do to verify that everything is legit. I got the impression that their site isnt very secure, and it certainly isnt very professional. If there can be such a huge amount of incompetence in updating their website, I have no faith that my information is secure. Even after all these updates, it still feels archaic and buggy.2) I asked a teller to set me up with paperless statements, and was told Id have to do that online. I signed up for paperless statements, yet they continued to send me my statements in the mail--probably another bug in their website.3) Their mortgage rep for northern Colorado (Colby, if I remember his name correctly) is completely worthless. I wanted to meet with him to discuss whether PSCU would be a good mortgage lender for me. I left multiple voicemails and still hadnt received a response after a couple of weeks. Finally my wife got a hold of him and set up an appointment. I took off work to get there, and he didnt even show up. The manager on staff apologized profusely and promised to make sure the guy would get right back to me. He never did. Id hope hes been fired by now, but if PSCU is keeping this guy on staff, then they obviously dont care much about the quality of their representatives.4) I stupidly allowed my checking account to be overdrawn after transferring most of my money to another bank. Luckily, I still had enough money in my savings to cover the amount, and the money was automatically transferred to handle it. However, I got charged $20. I pointed out that I had been a loyal customer for years without a single overdraw and asked them to waive the fee. They refused, pointing out that the fee is normally $30+, so they had already given me a break. While I was standing there at the counter, I literally overheard the next teller over telling their customer that, we dont really have any fees here--were laid back like that.Anyway, there are a lot of annoying issues that have made me dissatisfied with PSCU for pretty much the entirety of the time I had accounts there, and I now feel a sense of relief at having closed out my accounts. Good riddance.

Terrible customer servive. All I was attempting to do was a simple funds verification for a check a credit union member wrote me. I was on hold for over 20 mins. When the call was finally answered the person refused to verify the funds were available and then hung up on me.The worst treatment I have EVER received from a local bank ever. I will never join Public Service Credit Union as a result.I am appaulled at how I was treated.

I got signed up after about 40 minutes of paper work.. check business... applying for overdraft protection etc. I like the idea and theyre non-profit which is awesome. Their ATMs have a lot of the same functions as Chase ATMs. They dont have mobile apps yet but are working on it and have a web portal that you can use from an android phone. Since its a credit union it should have significantly lower fees and higher interest as well.

I took a loan for a car from here. The loan officer never sent my titling and registration paperwork (she had two months). Additionally, she was rude and difficult to work with while doing the loan paperwork. The entire situation since has been a nightmare to resolve, with multiple trips to the clerk and recorder.

Friendly staff but for a credit union they charge fees like a normal banking institution, such as fees on change being deposited or traded for bills, high price on replacement cards, and I should not need to press any button for english at an ATM.
