My Father is a resident at Good Samaritan Fort Collin Village in the assisted living, he has a very spacious apartment, where he was also able to bring his cat, and this has made the move and stay there so much easier. I have not met one staff member there who has not been friendly, caring and kind to me and especially my Dad and his cat. When he needs help with anything, they are always right there to assist him. They truly have become like family to us, I feel like that is how they treat him, like a member of their own family! They always seem to go above and beyond what they need to do, taking the best care of him possible. The building is extremely clean, and they are very good at keeping the residents well by being vigilant about those coming in to work and visit not entering while they are sick, I dont know of any other facility like this that I have visited that has been able to do this. I never worry about my Dad now that he lives there, even during this pandemic, I know he will always get wonderful care, great food, and companionship from all who live and work there. I highly recommend them to anybody who wants their family member to be at a quality place, they are top notch in my book!

I feel so blessed that my 91 year young mom lives in Independent Living at Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins. The staff has become part of our extended family. Good Samaritan is a caring and loving community. My mother enjoys the company of her neighbors and actively participates in many activities. She loves her independence and I love her living only five minutes away. I have peace of mind knowing that the staff keeps careful watch over all their residents. This has been especially comforting during this pandemic. As I said, I am blessed that my mom resides at Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins.

My Mother has been a resident at Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins for several years. She has found the care and compassion given to her exceeding what she received at other retirement communities she tried before moving here. Unfortunately, my husband and I do not live in Colorado, however, Good Samaritan has been excellent in making sure her transportation needs etc. are met. The food is good, and has a good variety. The staff is helpful and kind. She has said this is her home and she enjoys it. We are comfortable is having her living there even amid the Covid 19 in the country, this facility has been able to maintain ZERO cases. Good job!!

When my mom became unable to care for herself we had visited all the assisted living facilities in the front range area. We were most impressed with the Good Sams Fort Collins Village. We put my folks name on a list and not very much later my mom experienced an event that required us to move my mom in to assisted living. My dad, not wanting to part from her, moved into the independent living section of the village. About a year later my mom needed to move to the skilled nursing wing of the village. So, we have lived through every level of care that Good Sams offers. It has been a year since we lost my mother and the care and support that these amazing people showed my entire family speaks to the level of compassion and commitment of the staff at Good Sams. The take away is: we have been so lucky to have had (and continue to have) the care and love of all these good people and to know that my parents have had (and for my father, continues to have) the exemplary care of these professionals. I cant give a higher recommendation than to say I would not trust my familys care to anyone else.

My mom has been a resident at Good Sam for five years. Our family chose it after touring several senior residences in the Fort Collins area. We loved that it was faith based and offered tiered living, and both residents and employees seemed happy. My mom has now lived in both the assisted living and skilled nursing, and we have been extremely pleased with her care. Good Sam has done an excellent job in handling COVID protocols, communicating daily with families. My mom has often said lately that if she had to go through the pandemic, she is glad she did it while living at Good Sam. I can’t thank Fred and his wonderful staff enough!

I dont think you can find a better place for your loved one(s) then Good Samaritan at Fort Collins Village. I know, as weve been in several in the area, and researched many others when it became evident that my mom would need assisted living. I can rest easy now knowing the nursing/medical care she is receiving is top notch, the nurses and staff really show a caring and concerned attitude toward my mother. Always had to watch what medicines she was getting in other place, Ive learned to have high confidence that shell get the right stuff at the right time in Good Sams. She loves the food and talks about what she had that day all the time. ! Never heard that she loved the food in the other places she lived, in fact just the opposite. Plus their food staff is professional with a cooks oversight, a nutritionist on the ball, and a constant orientation to improving. The front desk is great, the social worker caring, and they have a chapel and wonderful pastor right on sight to help fill that need at this critical time. If you have a concern they listen. You call, they either answer or get right back to you. Great place for those that are so important to you!

As a home care nurse, on occasion I assist clients in finding appropriate housing alternatives. About a year ago I referred two gentlemen to Good Samaritan Fort Collins Village Independent Living and Im SO glad I did. They both settled in well: they love the staff, the food, the activities, the ride to church (pre-covid of course), one even got to keep his cat. They have their laundry, housekeeping and medications taken care of by staff, the meals are excellent with a broad menu and a super salad bar. The facility is awesome: clean, updated, laid out beautifully with plenty of activities and places to visit and socialize. Once the virus hit, I was especially glad my guys were there because they are so much safer than in their previous circumstances. I must commend the leadership and staff for their exemplary management of the virus situation: the frequent newsletters for family, daily updates, they send pictures of their residents to family, accommodate Zoom visits, orchestrated outdoor visits during the summer, window visits, inside visits as allowed. They have done everything possible to keep their residents safe and yet allow them activities, communication and contact. The staff is the most considerate, caring, accommodating, organized and dedicated group of people Ive ever met. I highly recommend Good Samaritan Fort Collins Village independent living for seniors that need or want a safe, healthy, fun place to live.

The Fort Collins Village is an excellent choice for your loved ones care. The facility itself is well maintained, with lots of space indoors and out. What really makes GSSFCV special are the caregivers. It is hard to believe sometimes how much love and kindness is shown to my family member every day.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Good Samaritan Society of Fort Collins! My mom Peggy has had numerous health issues and has received the best care and attention we could ask for. They check on her regularly and make sure she is doing well continually throughout the day & night.Thankfully with the care of the staff and the in-house Physician visits my Mom is doing better than she has in years and is thrilled to be able to play cards daily with her new friends. Julie has been a godsend in keeping us posted whenever there is a concern, and Mimi was just a delight in helping us when we arrived & to find Mom the right apartment. And have to mention Reuben, who has done wonderful miracles in physical therapy. Mom loves that they have several programs, a library and a beautiful church right outside the cafeteria and pastor on sight that visits with everyone regularly. Fred has been wonderful keeping us all updating during the Coronavirus and setting up special visits while keeping everyone safe by distancing, masks, etc. God Bless you all with a big heartfelt Thank you from the Acromite/Smith family!

The years have shown how right the decision was for my mom and step-dad to move to the independent living apartments. The residents, staff and administration is like family. Part of the reason for selecting Good Sams was because they were not too big but had everything from independent living to skilled nursing (nurshing home). My mom was the first to move to skilled nursing and being in the same facility allowed them to spend all day together. My step-dad recently went to skilled nursing and I just moved everything out of their apartment. They have been real heros in keeping Covid out of the facility and keeping everybody informed.

We are absolutely blessed to have found Good Samaritan for our Grandpa!! Every staff member knows every resident and know what is going on in their lives. My grandpa is blessed to be living there. They put on a phenomenal Christmas dinner for the residents and their families with every detail taken care of! Thank you so much for loving Grandpa for us when we aren’t there.

Excellent care from staff who genuinely care about the residents and treat them with respect. The Good Samaritan staff has gone the extra mile to make sure my moms medical needs are properly met and have been so helpful in her transition from her own home to an assisted living apt. It is apparent that the staff enjoys working there and as family members who live out of town, it is a comfort to know our mom is receiving the best care possible.

Just want to comment on a previous review by Laura Ray: Your review seems to be meant for Good Samaritan HOSPITAL, but you wrote the review under the Good Samaritan Society Fort Collins Village, which is a senior living and healthcare/rehab facility. Sounds like your experience at that hospital was not a good one; Im sorry for that. But my mother-in-law went to GSSFCV on hospice and was cared for by their nursing team and staff in an amazing way. She was only there for 2 weeks before she passed, but my wife and I were extremely impressed by the level of care and compassion. After she died, we moved my 94-year-old father-in-law into an Assisted Living apartment in the same building, and his experience has even been better. The daily attention from the caregivers who help him with medications, bathing and reminders is outstanding. Its clear that these women love their residents, and my father-in-law is adjusting to his new environment - despite the major recent upheavals in his life - slowly, but with wonderful support. (PS: The director of the Assisted Living has worked at Good Sam for 34 years -!!- and she has several staff members who have worked with her for 10, 15, and even 20 years! What a team. That has to be very unusual in this field.)

My family cannot say enough good things about this place and its team! When my mom was in desperate need of a safe, caring place after her knee replacement, we finally found out about this gem. She was taken care of in the smaller, rehab part of the property. Thanks to their care, she was given PT, OT, etc. to get her back up much quicker than anticipated. Even afterwards, my mom has continued to work out with the staff and is in better shape than she has probably been in her life in the last 50 years. Huge thanks to the caring, knowledgeable staff who helped her recover quickly and helped my peace of mind during the recovery period.

Have worked here for 8 years. The best nursing home in NOCO. The level of care your loved one will receive is high quality. The rehab unit is wonderful. Physical and occupational therapy will get your family member to function at their highest level. Take a tour of the building, you will not be disappointed.

Do you not have your baby at this hospital. I recently had my baby here via C-section. The head of anesthesia was attending my surgery. He explained to me that he would only be using half of the traditional anesthetic, because studies show that the traditional amount is unnecessary. He further explained that the entire hospital‘s anesthesia department had moved to this protocol. This was my third C-section, so I knew what to expect. It was one of the most horrific medical experiences of my life. I kept telling the surgical team that I could feel too much, but the surgery continued. It felt like an eternity of moaning in pain while the doctors wrenched my body around. My abdominal muscles locked into place, it took the surgeons over 30 minutes to get the baby out, they had to cut my abs, and the baby had to be suctioned and she now has a cephalhematoma. The bruising on my abdomen was significant. It was the most violent C-section I have ever heard of or experienced and this is their new normal. If I can save one single woman from going through the experience that I went through, then this review was worth it.I wish I had been anywhere else and I still have nightmares about being back on that surgical table.
