As always, I had a terrific experience at College Lakes Family Dentistry. Dr. Legette and her entire staff are professional and extremely thorough. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better dentist anywhere. Once you visit her office, you’ll never trust anyone else with your dental care again.

I had an appointment this morning at 11:30 am with COLLEGE LAKE FAMILY DENTISTRY, for QTC exam, directed by VA office, Ft. Bragg Branch, Solders Support Center, VA office. I came in around 10:50 ahead of time due to the weather, (rain). After approaching the door I saw a notice with the instructions to call and wait in the vehicle. After calling the receptionist I asked if it is ok to use the bathroom and she sent an elderly black female appeared to be one of the staff, likely in her thirties or fourties, opened the door and started yelling and barking at me. When I asked her to speak to me in a polite and professional manner, to my utter surprise she became very angry and closed the door right in front of me. And I heard her said that my appointment is not happening today and locked the door and left. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT “ COLLEGE LAKES FAMILY DENTISTRY “ and I do not know about this woman but this behavior is very awkward and unprofessional. I called my providers and they rescheduled my appointment.. THE POINT IS ! WHAT IS THIS WOMAN DOING THERE IF SHE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CUSTOMERS ? I took my time off from work for nothing all because of this woman. I will never recommend this clinic to anybody I know. THIS IS INSANE. To be honest.

I understand when covid hit last year everything closed down but my daughter had an appointment before covid and when yall decided to open back up dont you think yall would have honored my daughter appointment by calling me letting me know yall was open back up, I heard nothing until almost a year later from a email about coming back in for my daughter, so I scheduled an appointment only to the day of the appointment I get to the office and its closed I had taken off work that day, I understand inclement weather was to happen that day but yet again no one called me to let me know they was gonna be closed that day. I even left a voicemail and no one returned my call yet, so I will not let my daughter come there again.poor communication

The receptionist (with the accent) is a very horrible person to deal with. I dealt with her on the phone and she is not a pleasant person to talk to at all! She could use a few classes on customer service. That whole place needs a make over starting with her! I do not recommend anyone to go to this dental office.

A nightmare. DO NOT waste your time. Dorilinne is the rudest person Ive ever experienced. She talks faul to the other young lady at the front. The office has constant turn over. The dental asst Rhetoria didnt seem to know anything the Dr was basically doing the procedure by herself. The girl didnt even suction right. I wish I could give zero stars this place was just awful.

The staff is the worst ever. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I was dismissed as a patient for missing one appointment because my mother passed away. Then was told I can be reinstated but this must NEVER happen again. No compassion at all. I wouldnt go back if you paid me. I was a client before all this new gang of nasty personalities came. Dr Legette your staff is running your patients away!

Her receptionist Doriland (the one with the accent) is the most rudest unprofessional person I have dealt with. Dr. Leggette completed a crown on me about 2 years ago. It has been bothering me for a long time. When she did the crown she did not even numb me because she said I had to be able to feel it to ensure it is done properly. So I visited another dentist where they did an X ray and determined that the crown was not perfectly aligned with my tooth and that is why it was causing so much discomfort. I contacted Dr. Leggette’s office to inform them that my tooth was bothering me. I came in for her to examine my tooth. She said she thought the tooth (crown) looked fine and did a percussion test (it’s where she hits the tooth with one of her metal instruments) and said it was the tooth in front. I disagreed but I went along bc she is the dentist. Several days later the crown was killing me just to touch it with my tongue hurts. I called back to tell them and the receptionist argued like legit argued with me and told me that I was wrong. I asked how can you argue with me about where I feel the pain and she says because Dr. Leggette examined me. After about 7 mins of going back and forth. I decided I would have another office take care of me because she said they do not warranty crowns anyway that’s crazy when I had to pay almost $500 out of pocket. The staff is disgustingly rude. Please find another office it’s not worth the hassle to be treated with so much careless disrespect. As you can see I am not the only one that has given this place a bad review!!!

I am glad they dismissed me as a patient. I had reschedule twice for personal reasons and I was told not to return because I missed two appointments. The new front staff is rude and unfriendly.My friend recommended this place and I regret even wasting my time.I love Dr. Scott and Associates which is my new Dentist because he actually cares about his patients. As far as College Lakes Dentistry I will not and have not recommended this place to any of my incoming military families because I dont want them to experience the unprofessional environment. The office makes you feel uncomfortable; as if you wasting they time by being there.

Charged my grandmother 500 bucks for teeth cleanings, she had 2, and they wanted her to come back for a 3rd. Told her she needed deep cleanings and charged her alot of money, 500 bucks and some change PER CLEANING. She went twice and then when they told her to do another, we started to question what they were saying, we felt they were milking her pocket book. They were rude, and at one point, during one cleaning, the hygienist hurt her and she jumped, and the lady told my grandmother, dont you hit me, now. My grandmother was NOT going to hit the lady. She simply jumped because she was in pain. They are cold, unsympathetic and obviously, greedy. They hurt her, and werent gentle at all, shes in her 80s. We have switched dentists for her to a man on yadkin, which she loves and they are very sweet and welcoming. I feel bad I didnt check reviews before bringing my grandmother here, we were simply cornered because they are in her insurance network. Seeing the reviews now, Im not surprised the rating is bad, obviously they deliver bad customer service across the board. Makes me feel better it wasnt just us that felt this way! No bother having me speak to management either. From the sounds of other reviews, the best thing for me is to write about our experience and move on.

Very much annoyed with this office staff. I filled out every document required for my bf and had him complete the HIPPA form with my information on it. Tried to call and change his appt today and they told me that I’m not anywhere on any form. I know for a fact that I am. The staff is clearly not keeping up with the required paperwork. Last time we were there they came me an appt slip for someone else and I had to call them on it. I wish I had read these reviews before I sent him there. Love the dr, but the staff is less than desirable.

The receptionist are rude and they have a bad attitude, from eye and neck rolling to smacking their lips. They really make you feel unwelcome. The Dental hygienist and techs are impersonable and have a way about them that makes you feel uncomfortable. The building is very clean and well kept but the employees really need improvement.

I liked the place until i called and need my dentures fixed and because they were too big and the lady said i couldnt come because i didnt have medical insurance and i found out i really did so i havent been back i told the lady my teeth was too long and she laughed so i havent been back

Ive been going to the dentist for quite some time. My appointment was at 9:45am, they called me at 9:40. I told them I was running late, the receptionist told me I had 6 minutes to get there, I told her I can get there in 10 minutes she said no. Then I ask can I make another appointment she said no and if you cancel and dont give enough notice then you cant come back. At that time I was pissed, I always make my appointments on time. And when I do, I always sit in the lobby at least 10 minutes to be called to the back. So I told her to drop me and Ill look for another dentist office that cares about the patients.

Beware of this place, you will end up with more problem. Theyll tell you what they want to do, not what you ask for. After pregnancy my teeth needed crowns, but they told me I need do fillings first, so those fillings sessions continued for about an year , and my teeth where suppose to be crowns split, so now I need expensive implants. End the end I found they was overcharging me, I never check my insurance (Tricare) before, but I did after my last appt when I paid over $160, and insurance co told me that they suppose to charge me only $17 for this appointment. I call them for refund, now its almost 3 weeks Im waiting for my money back.Very unethical unprofessional people. 😡

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! This is the most unprofessional dentist office I have been to. This office is a waste of time especially if you dont have time to waste. I dont recommend them to anyone. They need to reimburse me for the time I have wasted.I went in on time. I was aware that I had a payment to make for my debridement, $79. Tried to use my flex card and it didnt go through because it was suspended but it had money on it. Called the company right away and they said give it 15 mins to kick in and try the payment again. They would not see me and then take the payment, I offered to pay with my debit card.The lady wanted to re-schedule my appointment. Which I didnt want to do. Im a single mother with 3 kids. I barely have time for this and im doing it on my work lunch. But it had already been 20 mins dealing with them that if they see me I would have pushed the appointments behind me 20 minutes late. Mind you the waiting area was empty. And the funny thing is they know who I am, when I told the British receptionist, you know my mother, she called her out by name smh these people are ridiculous!! I told them I will find a new office, they said they will be happy to send my paperwork once they get an authorization. Yea, OK and Im taking my mother too!!

They billed my insurance company (Tricare) and we’re charging me more than they were supposed to and I only found out when I looked at the Tricare statements and realized they had been charging me too much for several years. This was back in 2016.

The staff @ the front Desk. The so called Manager is very nasty. I called to reschedule my daughters appt. 3hr before it, because something came up. I was told that they will not reschedule my appt. That she is no longer welcomed as a patient. Because I didnt not cancel 24hrs before hand. & that is there policy..Life happens ! That s a non sense policy. My 3 daughters attend that office & we will not be returning.That Manager, (we the British accent) is very unprofessional & nasty.Asked to speak to her superior & she try to tell me that she was the boss & if I want to speak to the dentist I basically have to go through her.One other Issue is had, I was on my way be running late. For my daughters appt. I called to tell them I may be 10 mins late. The same Manager tells me they cant take me. I still show up. Not even 10mins late & they would not take my daughter. No other patients where in the office. & She would not allow my daughter to be seen.I hope the dentist reads these reviews because that women she has there. Is making her loss business. They way that lady talks to people/ talked to my... is outrageous..& she needs an adjustment..

I was dismissed as a patient too because I did not confirm an appt. I took off work a month ahead and was told it was canceled because i didnt confirm it when they tried to call me. I stated is this a requirement I have received phone reminders from dtrs apt but they did not cancel. I explained they should have a policy in place to let patients know what is required and make patients aware that a call back was required to keep appt. Then they sent a letter stating i was no longer a patient. Beware of the lady with the accent voice. I was offended because I had the appt planned took time off and was told because I didnt confirm it they cancelled it. The only thing nice about this place is the building. they over charge and im this happened please search there are other dentist offices on ramsey street.

Nasty Staff! Need to swipe the whole staff clean and start over. They are trashy and run paying customers away. I cant speak on the professionalism of the actual doctors, because the front desk staff ruined it before I got a chance to decide to give them my business

The manager with the British accent is rude but the dental hygienist are wonderful and pleasant and did a great job cleaning my teeth..now if u can get around the front desk with no interaction the experience would be wonderful
