First killed my battery. Had to buy a new one. Kept adding parts to replace. Replace parts thats didnt need changing. Went to take back for issues only to find out they closed down. 2200$ rear break job.Good riddance.

Nick has been in business almost 50 years by being an honest business man. He doesnt try to sell you repairs which are unnecessary.He runs a clean and professional shop. I have found him to be friendly and easy to work with.Fair prices and good work has earned my business.

Nice people but so shaddy when it comes to standing behind their work. My wife explained to them the car had a transmission issue...they didnt listen. Spent over 1800 fixing other things they said could be the issue; we trusted them. They said it was all set. The next morning it was dead. Towed back to them and it sat unfixed until they admitted it was the transmission...precisely what we said from the beginning. Had to have it towed off his property to Honda...it was totaled, so the whole deal now cost me thousands because I had to buy a new car and we lost 50% of the trade value because it literally couldnt be driven into Honda. They refused to refund a dime and wouldnt return a single phone call. Its one thing to make a bad decision, but not to take responsibility for it is the worst part. Its unfortunate that the heart of the business is ethically questionable at best. Id love to support small businesses like this, but you hope they have a moral compass and care about the product and the people they service. Absolutely not the case here. Save your time and money and take your car to a trustworthy establishment.

Nicks is the real deal. Just moved into the neighborhood and drove by multiple times, figured Id bring my 2004 Civic there because it was convenient. I met Nick, genuine nice guy and I was impressed after speaking with him for a few minutes. Hes been in business for a long time and I really like that they use genuine OEM parts/fluids. They do a thorough inspection on your car, send you an electronic report with pictures via text. Report shows status of most components of your car and points out anything that needs attention. Then they follow up by phone to review. Kristen (service advisor) was also great. She called asked if I had any questions and was extremely helpful. Pricing also was reasonable. Got my car back and it sounds much better than when I brought it in. Very honest highly recommended. Will be going back.

Nick is a liar and a thief. He refused to use the warranty company we had saying that it was to much paperwork and signatures and a lot of jumping through hoops. So instead we had to come out of pocket 700$ which had he and his daughter not been so lazy the warranty company would have paid for it. And the car never got fixed. He had it for 2 weeks the first time and then said it was fine to pick up, I picked it up on Friday and on Monday it broke down on the highway and left me stranded. So I brought it back to Nick and he had it for 3 weeks this time. He never communicated with me to tell me what was going on and one day calls and says yeah it’s fine there’s nothing wrong with it you can pick it up. I go and pick it up and make it less than 2 miles to my house where it does the same thing it was originally brought there for. The problem never got fixed he charged a ton of money that the warranty company should have paid if he wasn’t so lazy and shady. I would go anywhere else but here. He’s a cheat, a liar and a thief.

Nick and his team did a splendid job installing my new system despite a string of improbable events in locating a replacement, double-checking inadvertent supplier errors, refusing to compromise their quality of workmanship, and bringing my car back to original specifications.Nick is a treasure trove of mechanical know how, and an outstanding example of a local small businessman--skilled, trustworthy, and determined to provide full, fair value to his customers. He does not stint in his dedication to provide excellent service.I thank him, and recommend him and his shop to all in search of an honest, old fashioned mechanic.

Taking our vehicles to Nicks Automotive Technology in Fairfield CT was the best decision I ever made! I have been to multiple auto mechanics and have had nothing but horrible luck and was definitely over charged on numerous occasions. The staff is friendly and were nothing but helpful from when my mini van got towed in because it wouldnt start and my kids were with me, to when my husbands car needed a major service and gave us a great deal! They are fairly priced and offer loaner vehicles which was a nice touch.

After having an been provided an insane quote at a dealership I went to Nicks for a second opinion- not only did they find that I was quoted a job I didn’t need, Kristen at the front desk went above and beyond to find me the best pricing and helped get my truck in and out in a day. The digital inspection was awesome because I was able to see exactly what I needed to repair. They definitely gained my trust & business

Ive been bringing my cars to Nicks since they were an Acura specialist and have always trusted their service. If my car needs service, they tell me what is most important to fix and what can wait. They use quality parts and I have never had to bring my car back after a repair, which is more than I can say for other mechanics Ive used. I cant speak to their prices since I dont do much shopping around, but knowing that the repairs are necessary and done right gives me peace of mind and saves me time and frustrations. Highly recommend.

I was very pleased with the treatment I received. Kristen explained every aspect of the needed repairs and it was done promptly. I have felt in the past that some garages take advantage and did not feel that way at all with Nicks.

I was actually at the Valvoline and they couldn’t close my hood. So the asst manager suggested we go down to to Nicks. The mechanic looks at it and said come in tomorrow. Dropped it off in the morning and it was done later that day. Thank you for conviently taking us in for a very unsafe good that wouldn’t close. Also, no new parts were needed. Real honest place.

Nicks is the gold standard against which all other auto shops should be measured. They explained in writing all the work my car needed (and why), Kristen made sure I understood how long the work would take and what the costs would be. I never felt like I was being upsold -- and I always feel like I am being upsold. I wont go anywhere else for car repairs and will recommend them to anyone without reservation AND my car is driving like new (after several funky issues)

Honest, reliable owner! I brought in an old suburban that was over heating. He fixed it and had it back in a day and a half. I would give 5 stars but the communication was a bit slow.

Drop the car off on a Thursday night and they had the car ready for me early the next afternoon. They did a complete check on the car, and cost came in at the estimate given. Kristen was great to work with and followed up to make sure everything was fine.

They failed to bring a very serious and apparently obvious engine issue to my attention, which could have caused serious damage to my car. Recently my check engine lights came on and my car started running very raggedly, so I brought it to my Subaru dealer. They told me that there was a bad engine leak, and the only way the problem couldve been missed is if the part was deliberately skipped during an inspection. I had brought my car to this shop barely 3 weeks prior.Now Im out $3,000 on an engine repair bill. At least I know its actually getting fixed and not ignored. Dont bring your car here, ever.

Ive been taking both my Acuras to Nicks for over 10 years and have to rate myself as super satisfied. Hes a top notch mechanic, prices are better than the increasingly overpriced Acura dealership (where the hourly labor rates are getting as high as an attorneys), and they stand behind all their work.

This place is the epitome of a scummy repair shop. They gave my friend the run around, charging them for fixes that fixed NOTHING- refused to return calls. Hundreds of dollars spent to be fixed and still had to take it to a real repair shop to finally fix it. This guy is a hack job rip off. If my car broke down in front of his shop id hand push it down the hill to Meineke to have them fix it- AND THATS SAYING SOMETHING CUZ WE ALL KNOW WHAT A JOKE MEINEKE IS! Unless you wanna be ripped off and lied to stay away from this place.
