Very good eye center. Doctors are very professional. Not use to new automated check in. The check-in scans drivers license and insurance card. Sign of the times. Other than the automated check in my visit was great. I just find automated systems lose that personal touch. You cant ask it questions if you are having problems answering questions . Its a great concept and a faster way of checking in provided you can answer the question asked.

Ladies at the front desk are awesome and jumped through hoops with my insurance company to make sure I was covered for everything I needed…using the medical side for this and the vision for that…they did the hard work with my insurance and informed me the best choices and best and worse case scenario for each. Doctors are fast, efficient and informative. Also purchased frames with ease.

Huge shout out to Delaware Eye Care Center on Rudnick lane in Dover. They fi me in last minute and were amazing. Special thanks to Nancy at the front desk for going above and beyond getting me an emergency appointment for surgery close to home.

I am a long-time customer who needed an appt due to an eye condition. So I was referred to the Ruddick location as a first-timevisitor to the site. I called to say I was lost; the receptionist informed me if I was more than 15 min late, I would have to reschedule. I arrived within 15 minutes, but the electronic registration took up about 5 minutes. So after I registered, I was told I needed to reschedule. I left because I had an eye problem, and they could not allow me a few minutes. The office had hardly any patients sitting, and their next appt is on Oct 28th. I am going to look for another eye Dr.

My husband and I swapped appointments between 8:00 and 8:10. I was here a few minutes after 8:10 but the kios didn’t let me check in and told me to see the front desk. The front desk told me they had to reschedule me if it’s 15 minutes after my appointment. I let my husband take my appointment because he had to go to work. He didn’t inform his work he would be late so he had to be on time. I took off from my work this morning to come to the appointment. Now after taking off from work and driving, I had to get rescheduled just because I didn’t have them change our appointment in their system. When it comes to them being on time, let me tell you I had to wait 2 months to get my son’s eye glasses because of their chaos to send the glasses from one office to another office location. If more places take my insurance, I wouldn’t be here.

I had my annual eye exam yesterday at the Rudnick Lane location and while I am always happy with my experience at Delaware Eye Care Center as a long time patient, this was the best eye exam I’ve ever had. The optician thoroughly explained everything and made the whole “1 or 2?” part make so much sense! The doctor was awesome and friendly and they person I worked with while ordering glasses was also great and so patient with me.

The staff were very friendly and thorough. I felt comfortable and was happy with my decision to go to Delaware Eye Care.

They got us in for an appointment quickly and had us finished and picking our glasses in no time! Polite and profesional staff.

So the service was okay, friendly staff and all that. But I have been calling for MONTHS, I have left SEVERAL voicemails and tried to send messages through the website in regards to just getting my prescription information for new glasses. I live too far away now to drive back there. I don’t understand how hard it can be to ANSWER A PHONE OR RETURN A CALL. I guess i’ll have to go somewhere else and pay for another eye exam because they refuse to answer me.

I couldnt be happier with my visit here. The nurses and Dr. Shalwala are all extremely friendly and nice, and they let me know about everything they were doing for my eye exam. Everyone is awesome!! Theyre always so patient with my son whos not very easy to deal with when he doesnt know who you are! I wouldve given a 5 star but one of the girls was in the back while I was signing in talking about her personal life and her boyfriend and what time she left his house... so unprofessional! From one medicinal professional to the next... save the gossip for your break its not worth risking your job!

Not a place for contact lens wearers. Prepare to pay an extra $75, out of pocket, every year for a lens exam with no definitive extra service than a regular eye exam.

Really shocked to hear about my sisters experience with her 6 year old. The person that was seeing him kept making inappropriate comments about how long it was taking him and how hes never had a kid take that long...telling him to sit still...etc...Hes 6!
