I came to Gateway two years ago when Dr. Dahlberg retired. I have had expert dental care with Dr. McCaulley, and now I am getting an apnea device through the care of Dr. Burds. Ive had hygiene visits with Krystal, and more recently received treatment from Martha when I needed a cap. Mallorie has assisted with the apnea device design, and she knew how to keep me from gagging. Yep, get an instrument in the right place in the back of the mouth and I will gag, but Mallorie knew how to prevent it. Ive also interacted with Megan, Kristen, and Karen regarding appointments and insurance. Across the board, everyone Ive met here is top notch, and I have been treated with expert care and respect. I have no doubt that the team members I have not met are every bit as good as the ones I have met. If you need a dental practice, come to Gateway! No, they are not paying me for this review. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. One evening I had an emergency with a broken tooth and they made me an appointment for the next day. Dr. Burds is fabulous! He is very professional and his expertise is evident.

I hadn’t been to the Dentist is years, so I was very nervous about my first appointment. However, the staff here a Gateway dental made me feel comfortable and relaxed. They are very knowledgeable and good at educating you on at home practices to make sure your teeth and gums stay healthy! I would recommend this office to anyone seeking great dental care! I was given a total of 3 different times to arrive for my appointment. It was at 1:30, they said to be there fifteen minutes early. The day before, they gave me a reminder call, and I asked if I was supposed to be there at 1 or 1:15 (I remembered I had to be there 15 minutes early, but I couldnt remember if my appointment was at 1:15 or 1:30), the girl said 1. I was there from 12:50- 1:20. No one was in the office. I left a note on the desk and left. They never called me. When I called to make sure they got my note, Karen informed me they had been in a staff meeting until 1:30, which is also when my appointment was, and if I had done my paperwork in advance (I had not, and its not required that I do so), they wouldnt have needed me to be there fifteen minutes early, and thats why no one was up front. I told her that I would be looking for another dentist, preferably one who would keep their appointments, and she said Good luck with that in a sarcastic tone, and hung up on me. I will be finding another dentist.

Dr. Burds is a very skilled dentist, and is also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to.

I have been seeing Dr. Burds for 10+ years. I have complete trust in his diagnoses and treatment, and I enjoy the laughs that we share. Highly, highly recommend.

Dr. Burds has been our dentist since my now teenagers were tiny kiddos (about 15 years!) Hes a compassionate and thorough practitioner and his staff always makes us feel comfortable and valued. Hes seen us in emergency situations, and taken phone calls when we needed help deciding if a situation required emergency treatment.

Dr. Burds and his staff are fantastic! Whether I am there for a teeth cleaning or getting a crown, they make me feel like I am the only patient they are seeing. They genuinely care about me as a person. I am a bit of a coward when it comes to the dentist but Dr. Burds and his staff make it easy. They are on time and get me out of there quickly. The downtown location and free parking are a bonus!

Weve been with Dr. Burds and Gateway Dental for years and have had nothing but great service, and great care. When our dental insurance didnt cover the extensive work our daughter needed, the staff was very kind and understanding about our need to switch our children to a different dentist. My husband and I continued to see Dr. Burds.

I called the office to schedule an appointment for my husband.after explaining why he wanted to see the Dr.the receptionist asked if we had dental insurance and I as I said yes.Then she said she would talk to a dental hygienist and call me back.They never called back..very unproffessional.woukd never go there now.
