Ive been visiting Lake Steam for many years and I always get treated wonderfully, although on my last visit I got to meet a manager I had not met before, his name is Maurizio.He is the idea we all have for excellent professional, courteous, and just top notch customer care.He treated everyone, including me, as if every single client was the ONLY client walking in through the door...amazing!!Earlier I had spoken with him over the phone, and even through the phone I knew he was smiling and happy to take my call...if only other businesses and organizations had his wonderful standard for customer service... :)Thank you Lake Steam for always having this high quality place paired with incomparable customer attention.

This is a great place. Its not fancy--its basic. It has a great ,clean steam room, a HUGE sauna with access to buckets of water as you can use. This is not a bubble gum bathhouse--its a place where you can reap the beneifts of heat, steam, dry heat, whirpools, relax and unplug for a few hours. The services are some of the best Ive ever had. HIGHLY recommend Brian.

A classic old bath house. During Covid you can rent it for a private party of six. We had a great experience with our college aged kids and their significant others. Sauna was nice and hot, steam room had sinus clearing eucalyptus smell and the hot pool was the perfect temp. In the ninety minutes we circulated through the three areas and cold showers a few times.. It was a wonderful, relaxing way to spend time on a snowy spring day. Our kids were sort of hesitant by old appearance from the outside but the place is clean and the staff was pleasant. Everyone thanked mom for experience afterward.

Was a nice facility with a great outdoor area great for some sun. Boasted a hot tub both indoor and out due to COVID closed. But I plan to return to baths when I’m Denver

He really takes the time to understand and adapt to your bodys needs. Every time I have left His massage I have felt so much better. As someone who deals with regular pain from spine injuries and hip injuries, I was so impressed with how Julian has been able to help my body to release these areas and provided more overall comfort and less pain. He also gave me some great stretches to do to continue helping my spine and hips. Could not be happier!!!!

One of the more heartbreaking restrictions during the last year for me was not being able to hit Lake Steam once a month, but you can still go for some of the best (and most affordable) massages in town. Cant wait to get back to the steam and sauna rooms when we can! A denver landmark

Honestly it was better during Covid restrictions - now their policy is male massage therapists only work with other males, only females with females. Because I don’t identify as male I am no longer allowed to see the great reflexologist that I have been seeing throughout Covid. Way to turn away the people who supported you throughout this tough time.

I was visiting first time this place, and I do recommending to anyone to go there and enjoy every minute of your well deserved relaxation.I paid $20, and it is great price, trust me on that one, I used to visit saunas and steam room in all 49 states except Hawaii. Lake Steam Baths earned my 5 star, the staff are welcoming and helpful at every corner for you. This facility is simple and give you time and experience to enjoy moment of steam and heat. If you want massage you can order it for extra fee. They do provide clean blanket and small towel to seat on it, lockers and key, also they serve food and drinks at small cafe. I brought my own towel and flip flops only, I usually do this. And pay attention for gender days, there is Male and Female days and time, so Google it or call them before you come. Parking available free of charge, for cars. I parked my truck at street, if you drive semi truck, you can park BOBTAIL ONLY at local street, so no trailer parking for sure. Streets around small, or go to local Walmart and talk to manager for dropping trailer or use truck stop and UBER. So this place provide me with great service, and I will come back again. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed the massage I received. It would be wonderful if they had more than one hot tub. The place is clean and the staff is nice, but it could use some love in the way of upgrades. Its very outdated with old carpet, furniture, cracked tiles, etc. It still has a lot of charm for being outdated.

Well, unique indeed. Old place but kept clean. Youre given a small towel & some sort of blanket. I think this is an ideal place for regulars after work. Im visiting & glad I didnt go too far out of my way to come. Friendly staff, but I paid cash and was shorted $10 in change.

Been coming to Lake Steam baths for almost 15 years now. I have never enjoyed dropping by after work for a good massage as much as these last couple of years, any of the guys are great but Sergio and Chad are my favorites! Chad, great deep massage, Sergio for his incredibly relaxing but energizing massage, thoroughly professional and always polite. Dont miss out!Almost forgot to mention the scrub, this wraps up the perfect afternoon to start or finish your week. I love this place, I went a few weeks ago. Im going back later today 1-17-19. I highly recommend Lake Steam Baths, I really like the old school charm. I go into the hot tub about 20 minutes, then go get a massage. Its a remarkable experience here.

Everything is great but, they need to get more clean, lockers is massy, dirty, bottom part need replace, all lockers need a fresh painting. And inside its need more disinfecting, me and my friends get infected and 2 months of treatment by doctor. The pool so hot not able to use.

Awesome! I have been coming here for well over a decade. I have always had a great experience. The massage therapists are very good. It is a very laid back no frills atmosphere. Dont be put off by the nudity, you will get over it within minutes of walking into the hot eucalyptus steam room, or the very hot, hot tub. You can get a scrub, steam, soak, sauna and get an amazing massage for the same price as just a massage elsewhere.

So, yeah, they gave us Sunday time?? On Sun, the women only get 5.5 hours, 4pm-9:30pm, compared to the mens 9 hrs, 6am-3pm! Seriously??!! They only gave women MUCH later in the day on Sunday . The EXACT time of day when most of us women w/a family are preparing dinner, getting kids ready for bed and getting ALL the things in order for the onslaught of Monday morning. Not to mention, many of the massage therapists dont even stick around past 7, or even earlier, so we get slighted there too. I truly dont understand what seems like some rather blatant discriminatory practices in how much more time men get, as well as the premium & most convenient days & times they are given. Ive discontinued visiting the bath house for this reason.

My original plan for today was to get my nails done at a local nail salon, but when I got there, I found that it was under renovation so I decided to find something else to do to relax me. I ran across this place online and it was close to where I live so I decided to check it out. The reviews all said it was an amazing place to go, and before I knew it, I was on the way there.The first thing I noticed when I got there was the smell, my least favorite part. It was a little off-putting, but soon I barely noticed. I told them that it was my first time there and I got the official tour. Of course I opted for the massage, and Pam provided me with the best massage I have ever had! She was absolutely fantastic.Next came the steam bath, sauna, and the hot tub. All of these things were incredible. The soap and salt scrub by Mercy came next, which was also amazing. By the time I left, I felt reborn (and had even made a couple of new friends). I definitely plan to return, as it was such a relaxing morning/afternoon.

My 1st time there was not a good experience! I went for a massage, which was good! But no one never mentioned to me that there was an entry fee into the building of $20. Even when you don’t plan on using any other services besides getting a massage. The older lady at the front desk is rude as hell!!! Will never go back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Although there were a few older creepy dudes who were not there for the right intentions. My only recommendation would be occasional loops from staff through the area to ensure no one is being inappropriate.

Nice old school turkish bath. Smaller than I thought it would be. Only one hot tub. 2 saunas. I liked the really hot sauna room. And you cant beat the price for the salt scrub. Skin was smooth! I would prefer a Korean spa over this, but not to try if looking for a public bath house/spa.

Great place to relax. Steam Shower, Dry Sauna and Hot Tub.They also offer massages for $35. Body Scrubs for $12 and different foot treatments.There is hot food available although I have not tried any yet.Segregated men and womens days and every 3rd Sunday in the winter is family day.

Low key spa with great prices and a comfortable homey feel. We were visiting from out of town and needed a little relaxation after a rough conference. We spent several hours trying all their services and left in a much better mood with softer skin and relaxed muscles. The only problem was for new person who has never experienced this kind of spa before, our tour didnt really explain the how tos of it all. We ended up having to ask other patrons who were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Moved in from Seattle 6 months ago and immediately fell in love with this place! Very old-school, perfect after practice. Shout-out to the scrubber Jesus and the managers who come to the back to check up on things constantly. Im not gay, Im respectful. I like the place to remain an open place for everyone, some of the guys there would be turning the place into a gay sauna if it wasnt for the scrubber Jesus and the managers. The facilities are dated janky and gross. The women who work there are rude and act as though you are working for them. They police you, bark rules at you and they seriously need to get a life. The only thing I liked was my massage.

Had a wonderful experience here. This was my first time coming to a steam bath, first time getting naked infront of strangers, first time getting a professional massage, and Ill happily become a repeat offender. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable (which says a lot as I was naked and VERY self conscious). The establishment was clean, the massuse was AMAZING!! She rubbed muscles I didnt know existed. All in all I had a wonderful experience, and look forward to coming back

I really like this place. But I was in on Saturday and they have a guy that works for for them very creepy. He was standing outside the steam room and sauna telling people he was there to babysit very creepy.Ill have hard time going back if they continue with that practice he stared at me through the door when I was sitting in the steam room not happy with this at all.

No phones, no clothes, no pretensions.Hot showers, clean & clear jacuzzi with powerful jets, hot sauna room bring Epsom salts to scrub away dead skin and leave with soft smooth rejuvenated skin, wet sauna complete with eucalyptus spray. Kitchen with food, drinks (cold beer) a place to sit and chat. Schedule a massage its well worth the price. Stay as long as you like. Youll wish you had an Uber or limo to drive you home youll be relaxed from head to toe.

I travel from Seattle twice per month on business, and I dont always have the chance to drop in but I how do I miss it! When I lived here in Denver as a young lad I used to come with my father twice per week!!It is not the most elegant spa, but it still keeps that vintage beauty of days gone by. The place is comfortable and VERY clean.The service and people are what it used to be: GREAT...although the people are new. Ive been getting my scrubs from Marizio who is a wonderful and attentive person! Today I was at Lake Steam feeling tired and not even ready to travel back home. Marizio helped me get rid of my stress, my exhaustion and I literally got off the bench with my feet barely touching the floor. He is just a great source of positive energy! (this is my 7 scrub on 7 different visits in the last 2 years!). Thank you Lake Steam and Staff!!!MM

I have been going to Lake Steam since I was 14 years old. Its a hidden gem that anyone brave enough to get past the not-so-pretty west colfax exterior will simply love. Its not the most beautiful place in the world but its everything you need in a spa at a price that is unbelievable. Its comfy cozy and I consider myself lucky if I can make it every few weeks.The scrub and rubs are amazing and the eucalyptus sauna is something you just have to love and I have never found anything like it at any of the more expensive spas. I get to go again today, havent been in several months and I am so excited.

This was a wonderful treat! Superclean, was referred by a friend and couldnt be happier. Staff was very personable as well as helpful and informative and all the other customers were friendly. No weirdness or taboos that you might associate with a steam bath or bath-house. I cant wait to go back!

Worth it and the services are reasonably priced. Pleasant friendly staff. As far as a bath house in Denver available to women, this is the choice, and it ain’t bad. It ain’t JJs either but - Hey. Don’t expect posh. Bathhouses aren’t for posh. This one perhaps a little less so. That’s not to say everything isn’t kept up nicely – it is, and clean. The clientele is varied especially due to location and it’s the only bathhouse available to women - you might be standing there pleasantly talking to a naked lawyer woman or you might be sitting in the sauna and a naked longtime customer woman, who lives nearby and has obviously done some hard time, gruffishly ask/tells you to move because that’s her favorite seat. It’s interesting - and safe. Great steamroom! A super Dee-Duper hot and humongous sauna. As in Humongous!

This is an amazing place. Period. The atmosphere is odd, and utterly familial, and quiet and loving. This is not a fancy place, but it is a safe, comfortable, happy place (which is, honestly, better than fancy).
