Two words UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL. The office manager Sonya had th worst nasty attitude and lied about filing a claim wirh my insurance. Dr . Blount knocked out an Adjacent tooth attempting to repair a chip crown and apologize for the mistake promised to replacr t. Never did. After several visits to the office. Then he promised to compensate me. with check to have it replaced since I have relocated out of state. These were his spoken words to me. I inquired via phone and letter . He denied it.DO NOT TRUST!!!

Tacky, Unprofessional, Careless. (FYI, these instances took place at the Snellville Office). My 11 year old was traumatized and this last visit was the last straw after previous instances of; being called to be reminded of an appointment that didnt exist until a week later, the Dr. coming in and just starting to needle numb the child with no word of what was about to go down his first time in life having this done. This last visit took the cake, waited in the chair numbed up for well over an hour (no updates or kindness expressed in the interim) finally Dr. Blount reappeared, wanted to drill him up as the numbing was wearing off (per my son) after the Dr. said to me Why didnt you bring him in the morning? Kids do better in the morning. in front of my child several times. Well, I was on time for my appointment Sir (now its 5pm for my 3pm apt), why wasnt I advised that this was the case, why would you say this in front of my child, any child. So now the drill is whirring, and my son goes into a figity, body stiffing crisis upon the Dr.s approach. The work didnt get done, my child all but jumped out the chair and we left. Theres more but really this should suffice.

Dr. Blount is a commendable dentist. He listens to your concerns and questions and takes them into consideration. The staff is friendly and very considerate. Our whole family loves this office and their staff!

Reviews are very important but I don’t base my overall decision around them. I go by my own experience. So here it is. Everyone told me I needed dentures but once I was examined by Dr. Blount he confirmed extractions were needed and partials would be the best route. We proceeded with doing the impression and scheduled my extractions. On E Day he made sure I was comfortable and started the procedure. I want to say it took about an hour and I was leaving with my new partials. I saw him the next day to see how everything was settling in and I was healing as expected. The Sunday after my extractions I developed an infection and put on antibiotics. Dr. Blount saw me a few days later to make sure I was on the mend which was comforting. Overall I personally think he’s a good dentist. I think with anything, communication is key.I gave 3 stars because of the front desk. That is the first contact to seeing the doctor. The impression you give is how people will perceive the office and that’s not fair to the patient or the care provider.

This place is a total scam.Deserves ZERO stars. Sonja doesnt return phone call . Pam should be fired for being rude and unprofessional. Ive waited a week for a call back on work I need done. Ive spoken to Sonja on monday and Tuesday and was promised a call back. Never happened. Pam is rude and refuses to let me talk to someone else. Will finish the review later. Police are here.Edit to add....I contacted my insurance company to let them know what was going on. TURNS OUT THE NEVER EVEN BILLED MY INSURANCE NOR DID THEY TRY TO GET A PA FOR MY WORK.

My son is deaf and while we both were getting seen in separate rooms I didnt have to tell the doctor anything because the dental assistant there can speak sign!!! Wow! What a office:) We both will be back because the love in this office shows!

This is my first visit a this location. Several patients have come and left because no one is here. No calls were made to vertify our appointments. Terrible customer service.

My husband was told that he would have his partial in two weeks. He went in on July 6, 2018 and received his partial on Sept. 26, 2018. He was charged $46.00 more for his half than our insurance company paid. He asked for his refund and miraculously they claimed that he owes $91.00 for a doctor visit that never happened. Our insurance provider said that the claim for $91.00 was never filed. He filed a grievance with our insurance provider. What a scam. RUN VERY FAR AWAY.

This was my first visit to see Dr. Blount. Even though my appointment was at 11am. I was asked to come back at 1pm. I decided to come back due to the fact it’s hard to find a dentist that takes my insurance. When he came into the room he was very pleasant and apologized for my wait. He even replaced a crown that had fallen off. The lady that took my ex-rays didn’t know what she was doing. So needless to say. I had to go through that again. Then I was told that I was not able to save my bottom teeth. That I would need dentures. Broken hearted as I was about the information. I called my insurance company to see how I could get my dentures approved. I called Dr. Blount the next day to let them know what they needed to do. I have been calling for over a week now. Leaving messages and finally even spoke to someone. She told me I needed to talk to Sonya. So I’ve called and left messages for her. Still no return call. So needless to say. If they can’t even call me back. Why would I want them to pull my teeth. Put in my dentures. If they can’t even return my calls now.

Went today just to get a teeth cleaning because my dentist is sick and currently not working. Places like this should illegal, it’s no better than pickpocketing or theft. It’s a trashy dirty house turned into a nasty dentist office. I and everyone else there waited for over an hour to get looked at. I had x rays done for like 30 min because the lady had no idea what she was doing. The dentist walked in looked at my teeth for probably no longer than 20 seconds and apparently found $800 worth of problems. I usually go to a very professional dentist who is very educated and has been working on my teeth for years. And the thins this man told me today my normal dentist has never mentioned, things I needed done that I’ve never heard of. They found $2000 worth of made up things my mom needed done on her mouth as well. I am 18 and I’m growing wisdom teeth. I had 2 teeth extracted around 3 years ago for braces and was told that my wisdom teeth should have more than enough room to grow in by more than one specialist. The dentist at this office saw my wisdom teeth and told me I had to have them extracted today and that he would do it for me. I could list a whole books worth of terrible things I would rather have done to me then have the man at this dentistry pull one of my teeth out. I told him no and he said the reason I needed them out was because “ there pointless, there’s just no need to have them”, I have never had pain from them or never have they gave me problems. Do not go here EVER by any circumstances plz do more research and find a better place, this place will hurt you if you let them do the made up things they tell you that you need and then make you pay thousands of dollars for it.

If I could rate this office a zero, I would gladly do so. Dr. Blount tried to give my mother a root canal and left her in severe pain and has not even called to see how she was doing after the horrible work done. My mother was referred to an oral surgeon after Dr.Blount hacked up her gums. She cant even eat and barely can drink. I stopped receiving work done from this office because of the painful cleanings and accidental pokings from him. I have one word for this office..... RUN

Brought my kids to get cleanings and x-rays. We waited almost 2 hours till we were seen. They didnt want me to go in the room with my children because the rooms are too small. Our next appt the lady in the front came and told me the dental hygienist didnt show up so my son couldnt get his fillings. Why not call me and reschedule beforehand??? Well after waiting a hour they called my son back and I went with him this time. The doctor gave me a seat in the room and left for awhile. I started looking around the room in disgust. The sink was filthy. Their equipment was raggedy wires sticking out of the tools, the floor was dirty. It was very unpleasant. When he returned with his helper she asked me to sit in the hallway because there was no room. What! Okay so I took my chair and sat in the hallway while my son was getting worked on.

Thanks to Dr. Blount taking the time to evaluate my sons mouth. He is now on his way to getting braces. My son has seen several dentist before and never was I told that he was in need for braces. In fact, Ive been told that he wasnt a good candidate for them. Dr. Blount referred my son to the Orthodontist & after his exam they informed me that he needs them badly. Im very pleased with Dr. Blounts diagnoses & my son loves him so we will be back.

Had a Dental HMO, went here to get a crown glued back on. Almost $200 later I left never to return again. They told me that I had to have some sort of special cleaning procedure that was not covered by insurance, going to be over $600 for my whole mouth. I went the teeth around the crown for almost $200. Total scam. Avoid at all costs.

Short story: RUN!Long story: He wants your money, does not care about your well being or the procedure at hand. He schedules appointments and promises payment arrangements then only does half the work and re-arranges the arrangement leaving you either in pain, or without teeth.He did not warn me about several impacted teeth in my lower jaw which would prohibit me from wearing dentures and even tried to pull them out, he succeeded in some of them and caused my lower jaw to completely eradicate. Not only can I not wear his dentures but I ALSO can barely eat. Its going to cost me over $75,000 to undo his handy work. I am VERY livid at this dentist to put it mildly.

Well got my tooth extracted after waiting over 2 hours to find out later the original staff was on vacation and the staff there was running around like a monkey doing you know what and after three weeks I still have a whole in my mouth that may need surgery to correct so take ya ass up there if ya wanna.

Terrible place to go.. He pulled all my top teeth barely numb after repeatedly walking out of the room and letting it wear off I was freaking out because he was yanking and cracking my teeth then sent me to CVS to get a Valium come back to get my rest of my teeth done while my mouth is numb after all the pain and suffering in the chair I finally got my dentures ... 3 weeks later the teeth still did not fit right in my mouth they are caddy corner every time you buy all something and pop off one side and my mouth to the other I would have to use triple the glue hold them in and on top of that after him pulling all my teeth I still have pieces of my teeth that are still stuck in my gums so and my dentures are in that tooth is still there hurts because of the dentures.. after me telling them all my issues after that a month or so they still refuse to help me fix my teeth theyve kept telling me I had to send them all is going to take me two to three weeks to get them back and I wasnt going to walk around with no teeth for that long I repeat if you want good service dont go here

This place doesnt return phone calls or even answer the phones calls or return messages. I call this very unprofessional facility in an old house turn into a dentist office in Covington Ga. They want you to get the services they want you to have, not what you are asking for or prefer you to get expensive services you do not need. My insurance plan refers them I going have to change insurance plans if they deal with business like this . Please do not waste your time. Try calling them to see if any answers too. I give this business a 1-D for displeased .

Ive been seeing Dr. Blount since 2006. Hes done my implant, crown, extractions and gum treatment. I am very pleased with Dr. Blount and his staff. When Ive had a problem they try hard to make me happy and satisfied with my treatment. I will continue to see Dr. Blount.Rosemarie P.

I went to have some fillings done on Thursday, March 1st, and I had the worst experience ever!! Dr. Blount jabbed the back of my mouth aggressively, three times with the needle to numb my gums. He seen me jump and yell, and I know he seen the fear in my eyes. All he said was, I know, I know. I cried my eyes out. He stopped and said, That part is over. Ill give you a minute. Who treats their patients like this? Who jabs a needle in someones gums like that?? I would recommend everyone to run far away from this office. Do not even consider to have him do any dental work on you! The office manager and receptionist are both rude, and have nasty attitudes. The office manager tried to justify why he did what he did. That was totally unacceptable. Its ghetto and unprofessional there, and all they are after, is taking your money. If you want A1 dental assistance, I repeat, DO NOT GO THERE!!

0 stars if Google would let me. DO NOT COME HERE! worst experience ever, very rude and shady business. They told me they put in a request to my insurance and turns out they never did & one of the assistants 10 mins to work the X-ray machine.

Dr Blount and his staff are amazing.

The work is subpar and the reception could be better.
