Dr. Lockhart is the best dentist in Columbia. I have been going to her for years. After I retired I continued going to her even though it was a lot farther to drive. I had a chipped tooth after hours one evening and she worked me in the very next morning. She is absolutely the best.

I was very skeptical about a new dentist when my previous dentist, Dr. Frank Hart, decided he was ready to retire...but he could not have made a better choice than Dr. Allison Lockhart. She exemplifies dedication, care, and making sure that everyone is on the same page for getting the job done that is expected from patients, dental assistants, and herself. The girls in the front office make sure all the paperwork is flowing correctly and are just THE BEST!

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, but the staff has gotten worse. Dr. Lockhart has always been great, but the people working for her…not so much. First, my dad had issues with billing. They told my dad what he owed, and he paid in cash and then months later they send a huge bill saying he owes hundreds of dollars that they said he originally didn’t owe. Thankfully the person who made that mistake doesn’t appear to work there anymore. Then my mom and I make appointments months in advance for the same day different hours. I go in for my appointment, and they claim I’m not on the schedule. So then the person (Connie) that my mom talked to when she made the appointment, comes out. She goes to talk to my mom and says she “vaguely remembers talking to her and that this never happens”. Then she tells us maybe they can squeeze us in so I go back inside with her where she blatantly ignores me so I left, and I won’t be going back. This is no way to run a business, and if Dr. Lockhart knew how her staff treated her customers, I’m sure she would be appalled.

Dr Lockhart and the team are wonderful. They were so accommodating to my schedule and they are so kind while also providing fantastic care! Highly recommend this office!

The first thing is the welcoming and family oriented atmosphere you are greeted with upon arrival. The staff is very professional and warm as you wait to be escorted to the back. Their main goal is to ensure you are as comfortable as possible for a pleasant visit and boy I am never disappointed. The visits are always to the point with no surprises. The staff was very proficient with cleanliness. And you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere and wonderful attitudes by all the staff!

This is not my regular dental practice. My dentist was on vacation and left this office as an emergency contact. I was able to get an appointment the following morning. The staff was personable and professional. Dr. Hubbard listened to my concerns and was able to provide a temporary fix until my dentist returns. He was courteous and gentle with the procedure. Prices were also good. I really like this dental office and highly recommend them!

Dr. Hubbard is a great dentist, very thorough and made my first filling painless! He was also great with my two children, ages 8 and 4. My 4 year old did not have a good experience with another dentist and screamed/cried the whole bit. Dr. Hubbard was great at explaining and putting her at ease. Highly recommend him for adults and children! The staff up front and the hygienist that did my cleaning were great as well. Very welcoming and clean office.

They have a pretty office and nice hygienist, BUT: 1. they wanted to charge me for my cleaning BEFORE i got it, even with my insurance that covers cleaning; 2. they wanted my wife to may for a procedure IN the exam room, BEFORE she had it (laying in the chair!); 3. they said i had a balance, which surprised me, and i paid it. when i looked at the receipt, i paid for SOME ONE ELSE (they apologized and refunded me quickly). 4. lastly, they said i had a cracked tooth, and i needed a crown at a cost of $1500 ($700 on me). at this, i changed to a new dentist, they said that tooth just needed an $80 filling to repair the crack. i started there after my dentist retired, and i will not be back.

From the very beginning, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The stress-free atmosphere is a relief, and the low wait times are great. I hate entering a practice only to see a full waiting room every time I walk in the door--thats a sure sign of doom! Going to Dr. Lockharts office is always a positive experience. The staff are efficient and professional, and Dr. Lockhart is the best. She even gives good shots--if such a thing exists. She is very professional and gives one a very articulate, thorough description of what needs to be done step by step. She gets to know her patients, and she seems to have many long term patients. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone and everyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lockharts for over ten years. She was recommended to me by a co-worker. I first presented to her with a problem that had been ongoing for years. I had been to many dentists and no one could figure out the cause. It was very expensive and personally frustrating. Then Dr. Lockhart examined me and figured out the problem in no time. She remedied the past damage and I havent had an issue since then. I will always be grateful to her for fixing that problem that went on for so long and cost me so much money. Being a patient for the last fifteen years I have found the staff to be very professional and informative. Hygienist are thorough and explain any issues you might have. Wait time are always short and the office has a great atmosphere.

Love, love everyone in this office....they have beeen there for me personally...facing an implant situation...Dr Lockhart and her staff were so attentive and were there at any point that my cap would happen to fall out...and it did....they were also wonderful about the beauty and color of my implant. My 11 year old also loves going to see them because they shower him with little surprises from the drawer. So glad they are not far from our house...wonderful to have them in the neighborhood.

Ive been a regular dental patient of Dr. Lockhart for several years after my old dentist retired. After years of grinding my teeth, and ignoring advice from dentists, I had no choice but to have all of my teeth crowned. (Note: listen to your dentist.) I did not approach this lightly, as it is a major procedure that is not covered by insurance for the most part and can take months. Dr. Lockhart and Cayce were great-kept me well informed about the costs, time, possible complications, and generally what to expect. The treatment protocol was very conservative, and if I had any issue, help was available at almost at any time. The end result is fantastic, and while I did not do this for aesthetics, the final result looks really good. I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lockhart and her staff for this sort of in-depth procedure.

Its is so hard to find a good dentist. Dr. Hubbard and his staff are some of the most professional and friendly dental staff Ive ever delt with. They are honest and fair. If you are looking for a place where you can trust they will do anything to save your teeth, look no further. My wife and I just had a little girl and they ask for pictures every time we visit. I would rate 10 stars if I could!!!

Dr. Lockhart did my upper crown about 16 years ago and it is still going strong. She also immediately recommended me for gum replacement surgery (gum tissue grafts) after my initial visit and she was very astute to recommend me to a fantastic gum specialist on N Beltline road (he is now retired). I moved away from Columbia in 2006 have gone to many dentists and they rave about the gum surgery and they have no issues with the crown work. I suppose since I have moved I compare any prospective dentists to Dr. Lockhart. And I have left some dentists because they could not compare to her professionalism.

I came here a year ago when I had Dental Plus and was covered for the cleaning. I came this year and gave them my card for my new insurance and had the same appointment. This time without my knowledge they did not run my new card and went under the assumption that I had the same plan as last year. As I am sitting in the dentist chair they are telling me to add all of these procedures and CLEARLY STATING that they are covered with my plan that I gave them my card to, before the appointment. Three days later they bill me fees not covered and write in pen that it is not covered because I do not have the Dental Plus, just regular. I call them saying that I made sure that I gave you my card PRIOR to the appointment and they have the audacity to say they did not run it and assumed everything was the same. They told me it was my responsibility to tell them. What more can I do after giving them the card to run before the procedure and they do not run it and do not tell me. Now I am in a battle with the insurance company and they are refusing to do a return service request to see if I can be helped with this astronomical bill to my insurance. They clearly told me that it would be covered and flat out made an error on their part and will not own up to misleading me in not running my card. They sure are nice during the visit, but they get nasty real quick when you inquire information afterwards. Never have I every went to a professional that did shady business such as Alison Lockhart. I will say that the dental assistants are great. Very good at what they do and they are not involved in the malpractice of the front desk. My first visit last year was good, but I will never go back to a place that takes advantage of people that are naïve, for I just started my own insurance. When you had a business a card for a transaction, that business should be held accountable if they did not run the card and went off previous year information and do not inform you until AFTER the appointment.

I have been going to Dr. Lockhart for years because I feel like she and her staff really care about me and they treat me so well. I actually look forward to going to the dentist.

Since moving to Columbia 12 years ago from a large metropolitan area, Ive struggled to find a high quality, consistent, dentist and hygienist. When my last one moved out of the area, our orthodontist recommended Dr. Lockhart. I wish I were as impressed as some of the other folks who have reviewed her. The cleaning was okay, but Dr. Lockharts communication is poor when youre in her chair. Even though Im someone who gets their teeth cleaned religiously every six months, and have no major issues, ever, I walked out of her office with a list of nearly $2,000 worth of work to be done during a future visit. Most of that work wont be covered by my insurance. She ranted a long list of items to her staff member to record but never once explained to me why, or what tooth ... A friend had a chip in her tooth that Dr. L repaired. It lasted one month the first time, and two months the second time she had it redone. A previous dentist had repaired the same chip that lasted four years. Again, just not impressed. My search continues.
