Everyone was so NICE and welcoming. I was nervous at first because I have never had a facial before I had NOTHING to worry about. The setting was relaxing, she even had soft music playing. Walked me through everything she was using and was extremely sweet. Not to mention its been 2 weeks and my skin looks AMAZING!!!! I will definitely be going back.

As recent graduate of the Esthetician program, I can honestly say that I had a really great experience here at the Chula Vista campus. I feel like I learned the most with Ms. Dani in the senior class because she is the esthetician state board prep educator. It may seem intimidating at first but Ms. Dani sets her students up for success and she immediately corrects you when you make a mistake. Ive seen alumni and students from different campuses come do state board refreshers with her prior to their exam because of how good she is at her job. You can tell she truly cares because she always goes above and beyond. Your state board educator could never!! I am thankful I chose this campus because I feel confident Ill pass my state board exam and receive my license. Thank you Ms.Dani.

I have to say that I wouldn’t have passed Stateboard without the knowledge, expertise and patience that was demonstrated by Ms. DaNiesha and Ms. Sofi. After learning that Stateboard had modified protocols during summer 2021, I had so much doubt that was turned into confidence because of these two wonderful educators. Bellus, unlike many beauty academies, provides their students with continuous support after graduation. I am deeply grateful for all of the educators who helped shape my future along the way.

I feel like my very artistic daughter is not learning anything in this academy. She is trying to become a nail tech and we are going into business but the teachings from inexperienced individuals that are fresh out of high school four or so years is lacking. Anyone can do a manicure. She shouldn’t have to go on YouTube videos to learn different techniques. Especially when we are paying for this. When you dread going to school for something you love, it’s a problem. Starting to feel like this is all about the money gain. We’ll see how it goes before I start looking into transferring her to another school. If things improve, I will change this rating.

Went in to get highlights + color and my daughter got a shampoo and haircut, both done by Morgan, and they came out GREAT. We really enjoyed the results and she was so nice and helpful. We were talked through everything to make sure our hair came out exactly how we wanted. Definitely will be returning!

As a previous student I didn’t last long due to limited amount of parking, lack of diversity is hair styles and favoritism in booking students. The location of the school is kind of ghetto and I didn’t feel comfortable parking on the street in the hood. I highly recommend going to Poway Bellus academy. You pay the same price and you get way more bang for the buck and safe parking.

I give it Two just for the students, but I went to this school. I Graduated even. When it was in National City, But they do not check on there students to see if they made it, or even have there license. All they want is the money. They dont care if you learn for real. They only pay attention to the best, or the best looking students. If your ugly. They wont take time out to teach you. The worst part is they dont even teach African American/Black hair. They try to tell you its all the same. But obviously it is dealt with very differently. Good we know Straight hair can get put into some braids. But the only way black are Accepted is if we straighten our hair with sodium hydroxide meaning relax. So not fair. If you want to learn about black hair. You have to pay more.

Great school and campus for the Esthetician course! The director, student services, and all the instructors/staff are great here and I highly recommend this school for Esthetician! Learned a lot here and trust that Bellus CV has set me on a great career path, thank you :)

Bellus is a terrific and inexpensive place to try out new colors, styles and treatments! I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened up. You may not get the same student every time, but can request them. And all have done a great job. The teachers are there to guide them, as well

I went in to get a simple 1/4 inch trim. The hair stylist student who assisted me was very thorough and let me know what she was doing every step of the way, which was really nice. The consultation, hair wash and trim took almost 2 hours. She did a good job (not that I was doing anything extravagant) & I enjoy being pampered but really started getting antsy in that chair towards the last 30min! Ill be back but next time with a different stylist. Thank you Bellus!

Every time I walk into Bellus National City I am greeted with a smile and instantly feel welcome! The front desk ladies are so polite and the students are so talented! I went to get a haircut by Kuleah and she did a fantastic job. I was very pleased with my cut and will definitely go back sometime! It was nice learning from the instructor as my hair was being cut. It was a learning process for both the student and myself. Its definitely worth the wait!

I came here before & it took about 5 hours to do my hair, came back today to use my birthday coupon & honestly even if I didnt use my coupon, its worth the money! My hair turned out so great, better than I expected because of my hair stylist suggested something better than I wanted. London & Jessica were the absolute best, they make you feel comfortable & have great conversations with you while they do your hair! Theyre also super funny! If you need your hair to be highlighted & done, always ask for London because Ill be coming back to ask for him again!

Update:I had an appointment on 3/11 to fix my hair. My roots were finally covered and the red is finally out of my hair. Im extremely happy mostly because of the customer service I received. I emailed with Manny back and forth a few times in order to figure out exactly what I wanted and get a new appointment time.I guess the important lesson is no matter how busy they are spell out exactly what you want, down to the details, BEFORE the student starts on your hair and dont rely on the front desk staff to relay what you want.---------------------------------------------------------Im honestly disappointed.I called on Wednesday to make my appointment, got a confirmation phone call on Thursday, showed up to my appointment on Friday, and theres absolutely zero record of my appointment. She said they can get me in so I didnt think it was a big deal.The front desk girl asked me what I wanted and I told her *all over color* (important)highlights towards the bottom. I even showed her multiple pictures of what I wanted. I told everybody involved that I didnt want red in my hair anymore. For some reason she told the student that I wanted a balayage. Im not a hair stylist so I went with it because I assumed that they understood that I wanted all over color.After being there for almost three and a half hours, I left with my roots not touched my original color not touched but the ends are now lighter. I honestly feel like it was a waste of time to even go when they didnt listen to what I asked for. The cut is great I have absolutely no issues with that. But if a client asks for all over color, they expect all over color. I didnt say anything at the salon because I just wanted to leave at that point because I was extremely disappointed.

I just cant thank Bellus Academy enough for washing, deep conditioning and blow drying my hair today, especially the fact that you squeezed me in when it looked extremely busy. Thank you for the time you took for my appointment. Amazing student/stylist and friendly teachers/staff. Will definitely make this a regular routine since I dread wash days for my hair.

They are students. You get what you pay for. Or you could be surprised by what a fantastic job they do! Lilyana is one of the most pleasant surprises I could have hoped for and did a great job!!

The teachers are friendly, great service and the prices are outstanding:) I love coming here. The same student does my hair and she does a great job. My flat irons are real good. The instructors are always near by to check on students. Bellus also carries products you can buy to take home. I come almost every two weeks because the service is very good

I love coming and getting the services. The front service team is welcoming and so sweet. The students are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and high quality services. My hair has improve since I started getting the conditioning treatment. Yes, they take a little longer, keep in mind is a school. However the student take genuine care and effort to making you look happy and pretty and the instructor are constantly walking to check if students are happy or if customers have questions. I love they always greet me by name and a with a big smile. My favorite beauty spot for pampering me time or any other event. :)

I rarely go to a salon to have my hair done because I always want to save money, but I decided to try out the beauty academy near my house and the experience was way more than expected. I googled what I wanted and showed it to my hairdresser at Bellus Academy, Xiomara, and she did an AMAZING job!! I love my hair now and WILL come back for another wonderful experience. REALLY recommend this place. LOVING IT!!

I admire the how much time they spend on each client. Shelsey was very helpful. Listened to what I was looking for and she gave me her input to make my look even better. This was my first time ever coming to the academy & it was definitely a great one! Not only did I get a chance to do some catching up w my girlfriend, everyone was very sweet and accommodating. I have been here twice. The first time I came I got a haircut. Stacy did a great job, my hair looked and felt much healthier. The second time I came and got my hair dyed by Stacy. She did a wonderful job again. I feel like the students are careful and thorough and it means great results at a low price.

Do NOT attend school there! They will make you spend lots of money & end up not having teachers for your classes! They always tend to be on their phones and leaving the classroom most of the time! They expect you as a student to be on time but they won’t do so themselves. $28,000+ is not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, there are a couple amazing teachers! Ps: this is my opinion, others have other opinions. But, many students can agree with me in this!! (:

I always come to this please Im always very happy with the results afterwards with the students that are in this Academy but today I was very upset I felt that the teachers were great but when he came to the student Tiffany she didnt have any customer service I was never asked anything throughout my whole stay there I came in at 12:30 with my appointment and I didnt leave until 345 and not once did she ever start a conversation with me or even try to even speak to me not only that but she was not professional when he came to blow drying my hair she was about to send me out of the door with my hair very puffy and not done well at all I will be coming back but I will not ask for Tiffany again I think that she probably is a wonderful kid and probably a little bit shy but in this industry you have to have customer service other than that I do recommend to anybody that does want to come to Bellus Academy to come on in thy are Great the students are never left alone the teachers are always step-by-step with them and other than that thats all I have to say thank you for everything

I was a student in there very first Makeup 602 program, an intensive in depth program which covers various makeup skills including, but not limited to, color matching, airbrush, special fx, makeup for Print and Film, mature makeup, and some hair styling.The instructors, Lily and Breanne, have a combined 25+ years of experience between the 2 of them working in bridal, print , commercial, film, and fashion. Their knowledge and lessons extend further then just makeup techniques, they also provide you with inside knowledge of the business side of the makeup industry. It was a fun and positive environment which I left feeling incredibly confident in my newly acquired skill set.

This is my 3rd visit to Bellus NC. It is convenient and close to my house. The students are focused on doing their best work possible under the supervision of their instructors. So far, I have had my brows, haircut and colored my hair. I have not been disappointed. Despit the road construction around the school and parking can be a challenge, I will be back again :-)

I have been coming here for many years! Ive had relaxers, coloring, highlights, flat irons, conditioning, a roller set, and haircuts done here. Its great experience for the students, a great service at very reasonable prices. Occasionally it might take someone a bit longer, but keep in mind that you are seeing a student!. Today, I had a very involved Coppolatreatment done. There are many processes, but Erin S. handled it like a pro!!! Even though theres a lot to it, she smiled and made us both laugh throughout. She made the experience enjoyable and with exceptional results! Ask for Erin!

It had been at least 5 years since I last visited Bellus and I had always been satisfied A couple of months ago I visited Bellus to have my hair colored and styled and unfortunately I left very unhappy with the color, and the stylist, I planned not to return.. I decided to give Bellus another try so I booked another appt. for color, trim, blow-dry and flat-iron. My stylist was Melissa S. and she was great. She was pleasant, professional and had great customer skills. She did a great job coloring my hair and I have received so many compliments on how beautiful my hair looks. Im currently a student in the master makeup 602 Program and my experience has been great , the teachers are really nice and very knowledgeable about all things makeup , they are teaching us all the things we need to know to become successful makeup artist. Anyone whose thinking about becoming a makeup artist should definitely check out the master makeup program at bellus , you learn everything from special effects to bridal so it expands what you know about makeup and makes you better.

I hardly write reviews, but this time I am going to do it. I want to thank Jose Marrokin for his excellent work at cutting my hair. As a guy, it is hard to find a good barber, but Jose was my best choice to date. I left the salon very happy with my haircut, customer service and excellent ability to cut my hair the way I wanted. Before I left I booked a mans facial with Jose for Saturday. That is how happy I was with his service. Also, I want to thank Angel. This guy really ROCKED my eyebrows. GUYS! man can also fix their eyebrows and still look masculine. Angel is super cool and very good at doing eyebrows. Trying to go natural so I went to have my straight ends cut. The student Shelia with the green hair was very nice and made sure all went well!! I didnt get my wet-set because we ran out of time, but I love my cut!

Not only that she informed me of all the specials that I never even knew about..so now I Im defiantly going back for mothers day! Im currently a student here at our National city campus. Ive never really been into sitting in class and going to school but coming here is very welcoming. Teachers are very encouraging and supportive. Being at this campus it feels like a family everyone is very welcoming. Gyannah has cut my hair many times and is very great shes very into making sure its the cut you want.

Arrived to my appointment and was seated immediately, that was nice!!! Daisy was my hair guru and she was awesome! Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I was hesitant at first because it is a beauty school, but I would definitely recommend my friends and family to come and try this place before spending tons of money! All the students are supervised by their teachers and every one is so nice. The place is very clean and they where nice enough to offer me water and snack. We did end up being there for close to 6 hrs due to the length of my hair, but it was worth it! I got my hair bleached and prepped for me to add a funky color. My hair is all the way to my waist and thin, never done anything to it. I appreciate Daisy for her great work! I love my new unvirgin hair, lol!

Pamela helped me get rid of my unwanted highlights and it turned out so beautiful!! Everyone was extremely nice and gave me plenty of compliments. I will defiantly be back to get my hair shined and looking awesome!
